In Japanese Lügner calls her "Sousou no Frieren" which is actually the name of the show in Japan.
Which translates roughly to "Frieren at the funeral" but can also be read as " Frieren who buries you" which is the way the demons use it because Frieren hunts them. This wordplay does not work in English so they did go with "Frieren the Slayer" which sounds pretty badass but loses the sublety of the Japanese version. 😄

I'm happy to see the production of season 2🎉, but who the director will be has not yet been announced. I hope Keiichiro Saito will continue to direct, but he is also a successful director who is expected to direct season 2 of "BOCCHI THE ROCK!"
I hope the director will not be changed, as Frieren became a great anime partly because of the original work, but also because of the talent of Director Saito🙏

First of all, I'm a little sorry if my English is a little strange because I don't understand English.
Please understand if this seems like a long post.
The English title of Sousou no Frieren（葬送のフリーレン）, Frieren: Beyond Journey's End, has a different meaning.
The 8th episode was the title collection episode of this anime in Japan.
Sousou（葬送） means "funeral" and refers to saying your final farewell to the dead and sending them off to the crematorium or cemetery.
This has a double meaning as it is used not only for allies but also for enemy demons.
Frieren was cool. Frieren killed the demons in no time.
By the way, the pronunciation of the "A" in Aura is closer to "ʌ" than to "o".
Stark was pretty strong and cool, but Fern was cooler.
The way Fern's movements overlapped with Frieren's was great. I think this should be called the scene where Frieren was cooler than Fern.
Of course, Fern was cool too.

next two episodes are LIT!
this is one of my favourite eps, the ending is just chills, with Frieren standing on a mountain of dead demons, with the blood evaporating from her face cause they are disappearing, and that OST is goated too.
Another great touch is Lugner talking about Flamme, throwback to episode 3 when Frieren says that even if Qual is an exceptional mage, after 80 years his magic is now ordinary stuff, meanwhile Flamme, after a whole thousand years, still has unmatched spells around the world. The storytelling itself cementing Flamme's status as the most prodigious talent the world of magic has ever seen, her only limit was not being born an elf :D
Loved the music on this show, perfectly elevates every scene. I didn't think about that perspective you mentioned about Qual and Flamme. Shows how powerful she was that even after 1000 years they are unable to clear the barrier she put in place.

It's actually very well done.
In this episode as a fan I loved Frieren the Slayer, the action between Fern, Stark & the demons, the weird interactions between Fern and Stark 😂
But that's the fan point of view, a well made anime that catches you and keeps you into the story & characters.
Today I want to Analyse the character of the prisoner, the king (?) of the town (the prince? Idk).
At first it did seem he wanted to talk and trust the demons.
They showed the last episode he just wanted revenge for his brother kills.
But he got tricked by the demon's lies and their false father's loose ("what is a father?" "I don't know").
In this episode they showed the prince was smart.
Smart enough to know he couldn't trust demons.
But not smart enough to understand he couldn't win or even battle against demons.
He wanted revenge so hard he tried to trick the demons letting them in, but the will of revenge makes him to fail.
They show how smart he is when he asked where the 3rd demon was and when he said he didn't even thought to Frieren as the culprit.
But he couldn't beat the demon by himself, he didn't even had the smaller chance.
Another peak of this episode is when they showed Stark that acted stubborn when he wanted to free & save the prince.
Often in the Anime the protagonist is stubborn and does the worst thing just for loyalty or honour. That in real life should bring to death, but obviously it doesn't because it's the protagonist.
Here they showed Stark doing the same thing and obviously he was losing the fight.
But then the whole Fern/Stark's plan got revealed.
Stark was acting stubborn just to give Fern the chance to hit the demon and kill him (sadly he was stronger than expected, but he got really hurt).
And when things got hard (the demon didn't died), they flied saving the prince, to try to do the best thing to do.
Meanwhile Frieren she's going to hit hard on the guillotine demon.
And she give Fern and Stark a goal to reach :)
I'm waiting for the next episodes to see the development 😍
