10:40 Yep, Methode was fighting Fern and evidently held her own. The woman is a beast in combat and "has many skills" as she puts it (including being mana sensitive enough to detect the clone Fern sneaking up on her, note how her eyes glance back when the clone is about to snipe her in an earlier scene).
@skydrake1833 The 30ish year old mage from a demon hunting clan of mages could only just hold her own against the 18 year old Fern who only uses basic offensive and defensive magic is overestimate? What she gotta do to earn your approval? Create a new Zoltraak adaptation that can pierce the defenses of an unknown Demon on par with the strongest Sage of Destruction that went on to almost defeat Frieren? I betcha you want her to do it before she turns 20 too
@@CarmenIvette Mad respect for actually looking it up and keeping it in the edit! I know so many people that wonder what a word is and shrug it off and then complain that they don't know what's going on.
Ok so funny thing about what happened here 9:50 During the part where Sein was in the party, they encountered a monster using a Curse, and they couldn't detect curses as magic because the spell was too advanced for mages to understand. Curses are magic too, but they're so foreign to other magics that they're not even "visible" in the same way. The attack Frieren's mimic just used wasn't detectable by Fern, which means it's very likely it was using a curse. This would mean Frieren knows curses.
right now u can imagine why this eps so peak.. because this anime don't have action genre in every website anime like crunchyroll and myanimelist but have a peak fighting animation like this.

@@CarmenIvette I was just wondering, since it's not all *that* of an exotic word. I'm non-native English speaking, and I knew it right away. So I thought maybe you weren't native English neither, because that would explain it the best. It's like... if I would be a native German, that you would know a German word spoken in casual German speech, which I wouldn't recognize at all. That would be quite unbelievable. Should I then think it's your knowledge of German that is so astonishingly good, or mine that is surprisingly weak? But hey, one doesn't know what one doesn't know. And at least you researched it, so kudos to you for that. Another word you know, from now on. ;-)

@@ryanlarkin9783 Attrition has nothing to do with science, at least not inherently. I think you're mistaken with some other word. Also: reading and hearing it outside a "casual talk" during "conversation" should also suffice. And no it is pretty common. Well, depends on your definition of "common", but it's not an exotic word. Remember Denken's original plan of the whole group ganging up on replica Frieren? A lot of people would have died from those attacks. 😅
PHEWWW good thing they didn’t go in 😭
probably all would have died there
Denken's reaction in the end is even funnier cuz last episode he was so confident no one in their group was dumb enough to fall for a mimic
Omg so true 😂
On September 28th in Japan, it was officially announced that Season 2 is in production. The animation will be done by Madhouse, just like Season 1.
YESSSSSSSSS! I can’t wait this is great news!!

Very cool!
I think it was the fact that clone Fern started casting a spell that gave her away

Hopefully we see Edel again in Season 2. She's one of the bravest mages out there. Her specialty becomes valuable in the North
