@@ChristopherRodmell I'm a bit skeptical about some decisions made in remaster (waxy AI-upscaled textures), but I requested for a review code via Argonaut's form and by mailing their PR directly. Silence from both so far, but there might be a chance. If I get it, the least I could do is have a stream like I did with Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver.
@@DfactorLongplays Pretty typical of them to use A.I when the game is being in today's era. Oh well, it could be worth a shot. I was definitely also hoping for some decisions in the remaster/remake. I do still like some of the old school texture in the original. The things I've disliked about the original is how insanely quick you can get through some of the levels and some of the music is overused. I was hoping they would increase the length of some levels and even add a couple of brand new ones in between.
@@ChristopherRodmell Fortunately, it's still an uncommon practice and it's still possible notice it to begin with, all the upscaled assets exhibit soft, waxy look that doesn't suit the game. Judging from the promotional materials, there's not going to be any new levels in it.
I was so bad at computer games as a kid I never made it past the first door with the gems on it. I honestly remember being stuck on it for years and couldn't do it and to see as an adult I made it less than 10 mins into the game. My god
Croc was my first game PS ..... i was have 3 consoles ... lasers broke or somthing.... now i have next PS after many years .... but i borrow croc and other game to some colegues and they dont give them back.
I remember I used to play a game on my ps1 when I was younger and i wasn’t sure what it was until I came across this video and saw it was this. Such nostalgia
It was hard, until I figured the hit and run pattern. At first I was in panic that thing runs at me. Tried hitting it- only got me hurt. Had no idea when else can I hit it. Then I figured when he wobbles I might sneak up from behind to whack it. Then it turned out easy. All bosses in this game have the same tactic - just avoid hits, until he screws up.
Used to play this all the time but I would listen to CD’s I’d steal from my older sister like Sublime, Bush, Toadies and other stuff from the mid-90s. So any time I hear any music from that era I think of playing Croc. 35-year-old me longs for the days of 10-year-old me playing this with a huge bag of McDonald’s fries singing along to “Caress Me Down” by Sublime 😳
Hi everyone, I played that game on my computer 13 years ago; I admit it stressed me out a lot because I didn't want to take any damage at all the levels that game had but thanks for making it through the whole game without taking any damage from your enemies, you're a hardcore expert.
Got this for my PS1 at the start of quarantine. This game kinda saved me from losing my mind at the start of the stay-at-home order. Now, from the news I’m seeing online, Croc could return.
Let's all be honest most of us got stuck on a level and never 100% beat this game. All of us also has gotten killed by the big worm in the well that pops out thinking we could kill it lmfao
My father wouldn't buy me this when I was 6. I dealt with the demo disc which displayed this game. Man, I should have asked my mom; she would have bought me this in an instant but I kept forgetting. Damn that deadbeat- I missed out on something awesome and nostalgic. :c
My dad bought it for me out of random because he wanted to get me into PC gaming when I was young. He found it at some pawn shop. It was a great game, but kind of creepy to me because I had no music in my game. I was too ignorant to check the options menu at the time and had a different experience with the game on mute.
I wish Activision had the rights of Croc, damn i wanted Croc:Legend of the Gobbos and Croc 2 Remasters for PS4 like Spyro trilogy and Crash Bandicoot trilogy ☺
Croc might get a remaster!!! I mean crash has been out for 21 years when it got its remaster. Croc has been out for 21 years, I think one day we will get a remaster of our favorite little crocodile 😃
I remembered watching my dad try and beat this game when we could not. All the music and character voicing just brings back so many memories. Thank you for posting this ❤❤
This one and the first one are some of the earliest games I ever remember playing. They need a remaster. 1 and 2 together in a bundle. Activision could really do something awesome with this series.
Depends who makes it. I’d love Toys for bob to do it, especially after how well they did with Spyro and Crash 4, they really know how to bring the magic out in old games
Damn i've been searching EVERYWHERE for this game. I remember playing this when i was 10-ish. Times were so much simpler back then playing on this game with nothing to worry about
I can very faintly remember playing it with and without music. There was definitely the ability to turn it on and off, Must have not been hard to do so because I was so young playing this. I’m guessing you left it off by accident
i played this everyday as kid in the early 2000s I had an old hand me down dell laptop that weighed about ten pounds and could just barely run this game, had to keep it plugged in because the battery was shot, I never was able to beat the game but my brother got to the end a couple times before I was old enough to play it this is literally like a dream.

I always enjoy playing this game at daycare when i was just a kid!
Thank you for making this video!
When the remaster comes out, you can use this walkthrough to get that sweet 100%!
@@DfactorLongplays Are you thinking about doing a long play of the new remastered version or are you not bothered?
My god
Just bought Croc 1 and 2 on Ebay. Can't wait!
***** yes, they can be played on the PS1, PS2, and PS3
***** Have fun dude! Take care!
Me too!!!
Croc was my first game PS ..... i was have 3 consoles ... lasers broke or somthing.... now i have next PS after many years .... but i borrow croc and other game to some colegues and they dont give them back.
No idea why it came by when I was scrolling down but so glad it did. I completely forgot this game and I loved it! 😁
I remember I used to play a game on my ps1 when I was younger and i wasn’t sure what it was until I came across this video and saw it was this. Such nostalgia
I seriously can’t wait for the remastered version of this game. My childhood memories will reawaken and begin again!
Took me forever as a kid to beat the first boss.
35-year-old me longs for the days of 10-year-old me playing this with a huge bag of McDonald’s fries singing along to “Caress Me Down” by Sublime 😳
my first game I have ever played ^^ still love it :)
Hi everyone, I played that game on my computer 13 years ago; I admit it stressed me out a lot because I didn't want to take any damage at all the levels that game had but thanks for making it through the whole game without taking any damage from your enemies, you're a hardcore expert.
My first video game :')
my first on PS1
Got this for my PS1 at the start of quarantine. This game kinda saved me from losing my mind at the start of the stay-at-home order. Now, from the news I’m seeing online, Croc could return.
This game definitely deserves a remaster
At last it is!
"Remember, it's just a kid's platformer. Doesn't need to be anything too crazy."
*The earth begins to shake as the music team begins to levitate*
When I was a kid I played this game.
I always thought that Yoshi was the main character.
ANGELZONE this was supposed to be a 3D Yoshi game for the N64 but Nintendo turned it down
@The Markinator Wow
This was one of my first games I played on the PlayStation 1 when it first came out. I still love this game as it brings back memories
Let's all be honest most of us got stuck on a level and never 100% beat this game. All of us also has gotten killed by the big worm in the well that pops out thinking we could kill it lmfao
Wow this game sure brings back memories 😊👍
omg i played this so much as a kid. wow brings back memories
Countless nights in front of this game as a kid. Brings back great memories. Such an awsome time to be a kid!!
Just the intro took me way back. Dam. Thank you.
@@BenjaminGoodman i hope so 😃
You prophets
I remembered watching my dad try and beat this game when we could not. All the music and character voicing just brings back so many memories. Thank you for posting this ❤❤
This one and the first one are some of the earliest games I ever remember playing. They need a remaster. 1 and 2 together in a bundle. Activision could really do something awesome with this series.
Depends who makes it. I’d love Toys for bob to do it, especially after how well they did with Spyro and Crash 4, they really know how to bring the magic out in old games
Such fond memories of me playing this game nonstop back when I was 6 years old are coming back to me now. Solid gameplay!
I liked this game when I was a little girl
Damn i've been searching EVERYWHERE for this game. I remember playing this when i was 10-ish. Times were so much simpler back then playing on this game with nothing to worry about
I can't believe this game has music! Playing it on the pc as a kid, mine had no music, I guess I got my cd must be scratched..
It's a known issue
I had the game on PC too and no, mine had all music playing.
Probably it had music in options OFF or unofficial copy.
Mine too. Had no music. Still played the shit out of it!!
This was the first game I ever played! Miss it so much! Hoping for an HD remake! That would be amazing
One of the best games that had the best OST till today. You can tell the creators put so much effort in the whole game nostalgia
