Hello friends, I'm really happy to see that this video is still being watched three years after I uploaded it. I still get a lot of comments, some of them saying that the video is cheating, so I thought I'd talk about that. I'm using a translator, so please forgive me if my sentences are a bit awkward. First of all, this video is not a playthrough from start to finish, it's a compilation of separate videos of each stage. In the original video, I cut out the cutscenes, but since the concept of watching the video from the opening to the ending, I thought it would be better to have a cutscene in the middle, so I replayed it and put the cutscenes back in. The timing errors you see because of the cutscenes are for that reason 😂 Also, I'm a bit of a perfectionist, so if I didn't like the gameplay, I restarted even if I didn't take any damage, so there are more dramatic moments than in other people's videos. For example, the scene at 7:00, the scene at 36:13, and things like that. I didn't get hit by any of them, but I would restart the game from the beginning just because I didn't get the shot I wanted 😁 I spent as little as 2 hours and as much as 8 hours recording no-damage footage of each stage, and I still remember pulling all-nighters to get the footage. My Nintendo Switch is unmodded and untouched, so even if I wanted to cheat, I wouldn't know how to do it. I'm not going to bother trying to explain whether or not I'm cheating anymore. If you don't want to believe me, you won't believe me anyway, and I have nothing to be ashamed of because I'm the one who played the game and I know the truth. Anyway, to those who have watched this video so far and those who will watch it in the future, I am eternally grateful. I've been pretty inactive on TH-cam lately due to lack of time, but hopefully one day I'll be actively uploading videos once again. Thank you, friends!
Great adaptation of a great game. I'm surprised to see creators actually respecting the original work and simply improving upon it. Instead of, you know, defacing it.
Except it's not, it zooms out WAYYY to far you can barely see the character sprite, not to mention they used that cheap animation software SPINE where it looks they're they're a fu**ing puppet when they move. It's so offputting, you just have poor taste
@@venomtang Yeah it looks like a puppet when the character moves. It's called "paper doll" rendering and it's a stylistic choice, not just them "being cheap". Odin Sphere and Muramasa are good examples of beautiful games that use this technique. It's even used to a lesser extent in Dragon's Crown. It's OK if you don't like it, but some people do.
I always thought this game took a bit of RNG, but nobody can be lucky the whole game, you've proven to be an extremely good player great video love this 🤘
There IS rng for instance in the 2nd area of execution ground the pig before the first cage sometimes rushes at you sometimes jumps sometimes stays still until you kill hin, it depends on rng.
Man i have no idea how many times you had to play this game to pull this feat, but my sincere congratulations :) and thank you, because you helped me a lot on how to deal with the red devils hehehe

@user-un3nm9pc4b You clearly have not played this game then. The Genesis version is the EASIEST game I have played in this series. And this was on professional difficulty while playing it twice. This game is harder than the infamous NES version, a version I have also completed. This truly is the most brutal one.

It's been a year for this game and Arthur is STILL weird. I mean, the first game was released in 1985, fast forward to 2021 to the remastered and Arthur is STILL weird, Why? He's ALWAYS half-nude until he either get his new armor on or he reduce to bones. Can't the developers design him to wear a Tunic or something to cover that indecent appearance!
I did too. I remember going with my wife and kids out of town to visit a cousin. The nerdy thing to do was take my Genesis along and playing till 3 in the morning going through it twice at my cousins. Thankfully my wife has dealt with my nerdiness over the years.
Absolutely amazing you were able to complete this with ease, I died over a hundred times on page difficulty but you no you take the Chalice congrats on this run and a pleasure to watch you doing it.
This game is another broken POS, it represents whats wrong with all of these modern iterations of old games, 3d graphics and assets with the controls of the old 2D game, which is a bad combination, you have the "innacuracy" and randomness/enemy positioning of a 2.5D polygon based engine, but your control of the main character is as limited and innaccurate as in the old 2D 8bit sprite-pixel based game with primitive and limited controls and simplistic screen coordinates for movement hurt/hit boxes Then you have these new graphics modes, same problems as with those remakes from Natsume, you are firing the same old 3 bullets max at once onscreen, but enemies bullets and attacks now come from far ahead and out of your reach on a16:9 widescreen, the gameplay is outdated to these new screens, enemies can shoot every kind of crap while you keep firing the same 2-3 bullets at arguably the same rate of fire as in the 4:3 screen game, plus there is much more enemies onscreen at the same time, your bullets were limited in the old games, but this was caused by the pixel sprite per scanline limit of the old hardware which is pointless in modern systems and games.

I'm Not Sure who exactly Said it (I believe it was Mikami or Kamiya) but some Developer Said that If Fans want some IP's to be revived, they'll have to send Messages to Capcom and Just ask for it chances are that If enough Fans ask for something that Capcom might do it I personally have never played maximo but it Looks super cool so I Wish you luck and I'll ask them too because I'd Love to see a PC Port of it

This game is the best retro game that has been adapted to be similar to Castlevania. These two titles are very memorable for me, especially for horror games.
Played OG Ghost'N'Goblins in the arcade back in the day, coin munching frustration machine. When I got it for my c64 the coin munching was gone, the frustration about the difficulty remained.
Huh. I completely dismissed this game when I saw the flat art style and paper cut out animations- as I'm not usually impressed by that style of game at all. While I'm a much bigger fan of the pixel art style, Capcom really did put some love into this game.
I bought this the other day expecting NES or SNES GnG difficulty. My goodness it is hard. I’m still on the first level trying to inch and crawl my way through on knight difficulty. I wish it still had the double jump
Something is fishy about this. Look around 24:38. His timer says 3:17, but right before the screen cuts out, his timer jumps back up to 4+ minutes and then comes back down to 3+ when the screen comes back in.

This looks incredible, so many people dogged on this one, causing me to overlook it, ignore all these finicky people who just areimpossible to please. My only gripe is that there's no physical release. But will buy to support the franchise
Amazing!! New visual graphics have the looks of a cut ou cartoon! It was really nice to see the old bosses from nintendo and mega drive versions together. They seemed easier to beat though.
This game feels really uninspired. Maybe it gets better after the first stage, but honestly, this just feels like whoever made this just tried to make a carbon copy of the old games with a _tiny_ change here or there. Very dull.
I played for around 40 minutes and quit because I was not moving far from the first checkpoint, so I uninstalled it and enjoyed an old version with Frankensteins.

I like that you can shoot (or throw) upwards and downwards rather than just straight forward as in the original. In Super Ghost 'n Goblins, you could double jump and you can have a shield.
You make it sound like this is a difficult game to play? This is a watered down easy knock off of Super Ghouls and Ghosts. When you release a video of you completing THAT game, I shall be impressed.
The game is so much better than the original one tho the original one has its own atmo. On the side note: There is missing castle on top of the mountains compared to the original when you begin the game...

I really really hate when gaming companies do this. When they remove the amazing 16bit graphics and replace with something that looks like it was drawn by some Disney reject... They did the same thing to Toki... The 16bit graphics was special. People were doing a lot within the limitations of the systems. This? This just looks like anything else. Doesn't stand out. I thought the artwork was great, but I'd be lying if I said I wouldn't rather have gotten a high quality pixel art game instead.

YES! I spent hours and days on this on the Genesis - though that was Ghouls and Ghosts. Love the style and music!

Rule of thumb, always get the knife.... except the very end.

If you see an Umbral bee, catch it. It'll help to unlock new magic attacks for Knight Arthur. Plus, you'll earn bonus points too!

I played this at 🍕 Hut back when they had salad bar n arcade games, those were fun times , now AI runs most people's lives 😂 sheesh

Good for nostalgia and about 2 minutes of game play before it becomes so impossible to even play. Super high on potential but even higher on disappointment. PLEASE DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!! Ghosts & Goblins is easily the biggest and worst scam in almost all of video games. After the first level your game is over. Period. No one has ever nor will they ever beat this game. You have zero chance of enjoying this game. I was super reluctant to buy this game cause of how impossibly hard all the others were. This sealed the deal for me that I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER G&G game ever again. Whoever the designers are should not only be fired, they should be in prison for stealing millions from unsuspecting victims. Sound dramatic? Maybe. But accurate I assure you. This “game” disguised as a game needs to Go to the retro grave yard and never EVER come back. I WANT MY MONEY BACK!!!!!

I really really hate when gaming companies do this. When they remove the amazing 16bit graphics and replace with something that looks like it was drawn by some Disney reject... They did the same thing to Toki... The 16bit graphics was special. People were doing a lot within the limitations of the systems. This? This just looks like anything else. Doesn't stand out. Just a shitty remake.
The original was 8-bit.

The Switch version was first, back at the start of the year. Now PC, PS4 and Xbox One versions are available too.

It is a madening game. I once did a part in the SNES version over and over for about 3 hours and then rage quit.
