You're sitting in a comfy, plush chair, warm blanket on your lap. A pillow holds a bowl of just-right hot potato soup, with nice big slices of toast on a napkin, right in your lap. On the night stand next to you is a glass of your favorite drink, and a small lamp. In your hands is a favorite book, from your childhood, lovingly preserved and read a thousand times. Bliss. A few months ago I put this on for some background noise and it had the unexpected effect of calming my very anxious 14 year old dog. It was the only thing that would settle him when he was feeling anxious and restless. I turned it on for him every night and periods of the day too. We unexpectedly lost our sweet boy today and I just wanted to say thank you for providing him with some comfort in what turned out to be the last few months of his life. It even helped him today when he was trying to brave the pain. I just turned this video on for the first time without him and I’m now sobbing for what feels like the hundredth time today but it didn’t feel right not to play it for him on his last day on this earth. I don’t know if I’ll be able to revisit this video for a while but if and when I’m able to, I’ll always think of him how he was when he was listening to it: peaceful and sleeping, beautifully content. Wherever he is, I’m sure Marley is resting with this as his background music. So thank you. 💖
Loosing my dog was just a tough as loosing a close relative. My condolence for your dog, I'm certain he is in a better place now with no pain or suffering.

My eyes are literally watering. I do not know how to express it at the moment. I'm not getting enough sleep because of depression and anxiety, listening to it is such a great relief. Sad how we're missing on such simple and beautiful things available in nature.

I listened to this to stay calm when I was pregnant during lockdown and unable to see my husband. Now we're listening to it together, with my baby's hand curled around my little finger. Life gets better x
Being pregnant during Covid was tough on my wife. We both got sick which was scary, and my boss did pass before meeting my little boy. Life changed a lot in 2021. Now, my wife is next to me in the dark carrying our second son. This time around pregnancy is a bit rougher, but no lockdown is a nice change.
I have always had the scariest/darkest thoughts late at night and constantly try to distract them by watching tv before bed. All along, I just needed a place filled with love like this comments section to feel better at night.

Sitting in the warmth, shelter, and security of a house while viewing such weather through the pane of a window is comparable to mockery. We sit there, enjoying the chaos while laughing in the face of the storm saying, “You can’t get me!” It really is amazing, and often I find myself wishing to go back to the time as a child when I could stare out the window for hours because nothing else mattered.
TENA That's because we're safe and warm and Cozy. Wishing all of you the same safe feelings that a storm raging outside with the wind screaming around the house with lightning so close that thunder rocks me, and don't let's us forget that torrential rain with hopefully a tin roof. Wonder why no one ever records storms like that? I live in north Ga. And we get what mother called heat storms with exactly those sounds and I look forward to them every summer. I think it's because the storm tells our brains we can't be reached right now. Normally we feel powerless in the face of all kind of demands and commands from society, but nature turns them powerless, which makes us feel protected. Just my theory.

When I was homeless I lived in my car. On cold nights, the rain was comforting. Didn't know how many times I'd hear the comforting sound of the rain on the car. Didn't realize I would miss it. Now I listen in my bed, with my wife. Helps sleep, reminds me of the hard times, makes you value the good times. Much love to anybody who has had to listen to this noise.

My childhood bedroom was in the loft. The house was on a hill in the suburbs, and I had a view out over the city without anybody being able to see back in, so I never had curtains. I still occasionally have dreams about rainy nights up there and looking out over rolling hills and distant city lights.

Yeah, I live in New Orleans where we get thunder like this pretty frequently and I usually find most of these types of videos to get it wrong. This actually sounds like the storms I'm used to.

This takes me back to camping with my dad before he passed and in my sleep i dream of our trips sometimes when i wake up i realize I’m an adult and he is gone but it doesn’t make me sad because it’s like I get to spend a weekend with him again even if in reality it’s only 5 to 7 hours of me sleeping. A few months ago I put this on for some background noise and it had the unexpected effect of calming my very anxious 14 year old dog. It was the only thing that would settle him when he was feeling anxious and restless. I turned it on for him every night and periods of the day too. We unexpectedly lost our sweet boy today and I just wanted to say thank you for providing him with some comfort in what turned out to be the last few months of his life. It even helped him today when he was trying to brave the pain. I just turned this video on for the first time without him and I’m now sobbing for what feels like the hundredth time today but it didn’t feel right not to play it for him on his last day on this earth. I don’t know if I’ll be able to revisit this video for a while but if and when I’m able to, I’ll always think of him how he was when he was listening to it: peaceful and sleeping, beautifully content. Wherever he is, I’m sure Marley is resting with this as his background music. So thank you. 💖

Being pregnant during Covid was tough on my wife. We both got sick which was scary, and my boss did pass before meeting my little boy. Life changed a lot in 2021.
Now, my wife is next to me in the dark carrying our second son. This time around pregnancy is a bit rougher, but no lockdown is a nice change.
I have always had the scariest/darkest thoughts late at night and constantly try to distract them by watching tv before bed. All along, I just needed a place filled with love like this comments section to feel better at night.

Isn't it strange how, we found our greatest peace in the chaos of a thunderstorm?
Sitting in the warmth, shelter, and security of a house while viewing such weather through the pane of a window is comparable to mockery. We sit there, enjoying the chaos while laughing in the face of the storm saying, “You can’t get me!”
It really is amazing, and often I find myself wishing to go back to the time as a child when I could stare out the window for hours because nothing else mattered.
TENA That's because we're safe and warm and Cozy. Wishing all of you the same safe feelings that a storm raging outside with the wind screaming around the house with lightning so close that thunder rocks me, and don't let's us forget that torrential rain with hopefully a tin roof. Wonder why no one ever records storms like that? I live in north Ga. And we get what mother called heat storms with exactly those sounds and I look forward to them every summer. Go in peace and love everyone, and for gods sake wear your masks and stay well.

I think it's because the storm tells our brains we can't be reached right now. Normally we feel powerless in the face of all kind of demands and commands from society, but nature turns them powerless, which makes us feel protected. Just my theory.
And we are all tooked up warm in our beds all snug. Better than being out in that weather. My oldest pug likes the sound of these videos at night.

When I was homeless I lived in my car. On cold nights, the rain was comforting. Didn't know how many times I'd hear the comforting sound of the rain on the car. Didn't realize I would miss it. Now I listen in my bed, with my wife. Helps sleep, reminds me of the hard times, makes you value the good times. Much love to anybody who has had to listen to this noise.

My childhood bedroom was in the loft. The house was on a hill in the suburbs, and I had a view out over the city without anybody being able to see back in, so I never had curtains. I still occasionally have dreams about rainy nights up there and looking out over rolling hills and distant city lights.

This room is what I need....not a huge house with big windows, designer furniture, high tech utilities and a huge pool with a huge garage...just give me this room with a bed in the corner and a little fireplace.....and friends to come over to play mystery board games with a thunderstorm outside!

this is fantastic! A lot of the time i find rain and thunderstorm ambiences that sound too distant for my liking, but this sounds sooo good. The rain is really coming down hard and we are right in the middle of the storm. makes me feel so good inside.
Yeah, I live in New Orleans where we get thunder like this pretty frequently and I usually find most of these types of videos to get it wrong. This actually sounds like the storms I'm used to.

This takes me back to camping with my dad before he passed and in my sleep i dream of our trips sometimes when i wake up i realize I’m an adult and he is gone but it doesn’t make me sad because it’s like I get to spend a weekend with him again even if in reality it’s only 5 to 7 hours of me sleeping. I swear before I’m fully awake and realize where I am I can smell the camp fire. Crazy how powerful the brain can be. Goodnight my fellow campers good luck on catching a monster bass tomorrow lol.
