    Watched quite a few upgrade videos on this OEM and you definitely did the best job I've seen. Neatest and more rational upgrades. The PC layout doesn't make it easy, but you've done the best possible I believe to deal with the heat issue..

    Super helpful, man. Thanks! I got my Ryzen R10 with an RTX 3080 and have already swapped 2 fans and looking to install a 3rd one. It was INCREDIBLE the difference on fan noise since I bought decent fans for my computer. Unreal how crappy Dell's default fans are!
    Also looking to install that 3rd one and replace my thermal paste from CPU and GPU to help cooling. I'm still getting peaks of 83C on my GPU while gaming.

    I am adding the OEM liquid thermal system to my (VERY HOT) R 12. I come back to this video often for some direction (thank you for that). if I am replacing two of the fans with corsair ML120 pros, will they have any errors when I start up? I read you purchased some noctua cables, but I am just doing the liquid cooled and switching out the 2 stock fans (not push pull).

      So those cables are to split the fans the front fan and the HDD fan use that splitter to split those fans and then the two top fans use those cables for the pull push configuration

    I wish you would have showed how you installed the fans on the water cooler. Thats the first thing I intend on installing because I did not know that alienware even made these micro atx builds without them and also the box for the pc implies that there is a water cooler installed. It gets way too hot when playing triple A games at high settings.

    i have an aurora r12 black with an rtx 3080 inside. the hdd is very slow and i would like to add an additional m.2 nvme ssd on the available PCI express x16 slot. my concern is whether it affects the cooling ability of my graphic card because its width is very large and after i add this module, half part of one of the fans only have about 2 centimeters of space to pull air to cool the gpu. any suggestion. i bought an input converter that converts m.2 to pci express x16 but its height profile is half the height of the gpu. so it blocks half of the one of the fans and the blocked area only have about 2 centimeter to catch air. i don't know if you get my point. if so, any suggestion would be appreciated. thanks

    I did this same mod except I used the iCue H60i AIO, and I ditched the ML120 it comes with for two Arctic P12's in a push-pull configuration. I ditched the thermal paste that was pre-applied to the corsair and applied a generous amount of SYY-157. I also installed the additional intake fan in place of the mechanical hard drive, just like you did, but I also added a third intake fan on the bottom, in place of one of the 2.5 inch drive slots. I idle at 31c and the most I've seen is 61c while gaming. This is without the VRM Heatsink, which I am still waiting on.

    I've had consistent 60-70 CPU temp while gaming with full blowing fan, I mean the temp is not too bad but the 100% fan noise is just unbearable, my corsair pro 120 fans haven't come yet, and I have only just installed the Corsair Hydro H60 AIO, and with just about 40% fan output the temp never went above 60. I ask because I just ordered my R12 and didn’t get an HDD so trying to figure out how to secure the same front top fan you used. Also, does LED on front fans show through front of case? I ordered dark side of the moon chassis before realizing it’s missing two LED zones so if I can get more color with those fans that’s a nice bonus

      Can’t see led from front of case sorry. The bracket I used was the one from the top fan since I did not need due to push pull config. But you have to modify the bracket to make it fit where the HDD would normally go. Suggest you use 3M tape on fan to stick to area where HDD would go

    Nice video. My r12 is coming next month with a 11700kf. Is it necessary to upgrade form the Alienware 120 aio to third party aio like corsair h80i v2? Also could h80i fit into the case? Thanks for your sharing!

    • @CrypticHack3r
      @CrypticHack3r  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Lee the H80i will not fit also if you change you cannot connect an aftermarket aio to the pump header since it will not recognize a non 4 pin pump on that header and bios will give you an error so you would need to connect a fan to the cpu fan header and the only ones that work are the Corsair ml120 pros. They run very hot and you will notice the fans speed up to about almost 50% which will be annoying and you would have to replace the fans for quieter ones so for the money you are paying for this no upgradeable system get yourself a pre build you can build yourself online for maximum airflow. I will be returning mine due to complications with aftermarket products and the fact they get so hot in my scenario my room gets hot from this PC exhausting so much hot air while gaming

    • @CrypticHack3r

      No bios errors at all. But you need to make sure at least one of the fans is plugged in to the CPU header otherwise you will get bios errors. K not sure what you mean about changing leds. Are you talking about the color or the physical led

  • @superdjc2010
    @superdjc2010 ปีที่แล้ว

    The h60 does not fit well at all, the push pull config is doable but leaves little room for the cooler or ram, every time I close the case, I'm afraid I'm going to cut the circulation, the fans are nice but are not fully compatible with the command center. Decent video but those were the problems I ran into.

    Dell these days is quite unlike the Dell in the yesteryears. They have come up with a system called Support Assist that is a disguised planned obsolescence system. Think of it as a Trojan horse. It is introduced to keep your systems updated and working till the warranty period, and swiftly after the warranty expiry keeps introducing updates that lead to one or the other software malfunction. The warranty then offered for a year or two is close to the price of a new laptop; just slightly lesser perhaps. So, my two cents is to ignore the fancy lighting, packaging and other fancy stuff and go for a brand that provides you the not so fancy but a reliable and lasting product. I bought an Aurora last year and it is close to garbage. All the best folks!!
