    Watched quite a few upgrade videos on this OEM and you definitely did the best job I've seen. Neatest and more rational upgrades. The PC layout doesn't make it easy, but you've done the best possible I believe to deal with the heat issue..

    Super helpful, man. Thanks! I got my Ryzen R10 with an RTX 3080 and have already swapped 2 fans and looking to install a 3rd one. It was INCREDIBLE the difference on fan noise since I bought decent fans for my computer. Unreal how crappy Dell's default fans are!
    Also looking to install that 3rd one and replace my thermal paste from CPU and GPU to help cooling. I'm still getting peaks of 83C on my GPU while gaming.

      Nice! Did you see improved performance? I feel like my 3080 isn’t performing as well as my friends non Dell 3070. I’m hoping dells 3080 isn’t that bad and the thermals are the issue

    Dell these days is quite unlike the Dell in the yesteryears. They have come up with a system called Support Assist that is a disguised planned obsolescence system. Think of it as a Trojan horse. It is introduced to keep your systems updated and working till the warranty period, and swiftly after the warranty expiry keeps introducing updates that lead to one or the other software malfunction. The warranty then offered for a year or two is close to the price of a new laptop; just slightly lesser perhaps. So, my two cents is to ignore the fancy lighting, packaging and other fancy stuff and go for a brand that provides you the not so fancy but a reliable and lasting product. I bought an Aurora last year and it is close to garbage. All the best folks!!

    Nice video! I got two ML120 elite fans with push and pull configuration (LED) and H60 x Elite AIO. I think these are the newer versions of fans and cooler, but I kept getting boot up error saying cpu fan not responding. What should I do😢

  • @superdjc2010
    @superdjc2010 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    The h60 does not fit well at all, the push pull config is doable but leaves little room for the cooler or ram, every time I close the case, I'm afraid I'm going to cut the circulation, the fans are nice but are not fully compatible with the command center. Decent video but those were the problems I ran into.

    I did this same mod except I used the iCue H60i AIO, and I ditched the ML120 it comes with for two Arctic P12's in a push-pull configuration. I ditched the thermal paste that was pre-applied to the corsair and applied a generous amount of SYY-157. I also installed the additional intake fan in place of the mechanical hard drive, just like you did, but I also added a third intake fan on the bottom, in place of one of the 2.5 inch drive slots. I idle at 31c and the most I've seen is 61c while gaming. This is without the VRM Heatsink, which I am still waiting on.

    • @CrypticHack3r
      @CrypticHack3r  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Lee the H80i will not fit also if you change you cannot connect an aftermarket aio to the pump header since it will not recognize a non 4 pin pump on that header and bios will give you an error so you would need to connect a fan to the cpu fan header and the only ones that work are the Corsair ml120 pros. They run very hot and you will notice the fans speed up to about almost 50% which will be annoying and you would have to replace the fans for quieter ones so for the money you are paying for this no upgradeable system get yourself a pre build you can build yourself online for maximum airflow. I will be returning mine due to complications with aftermarket products and the fact they get so hot in my scenario my room gets hot from this PC exhausting so much hot air while gaming

    Thank you for the video it was verry helpful. I did a lot of research into the R12 and got on sale for $600 off knowing I would have to upgrade the stock air cooler to an AIO. I just replaced the stock air cooled with a H60 and it seems to be working since the temps are down from 75-80 at idle to 45-50 the only thing I came across is the BIOS Support Assist Pre-Boot System Performance Check keep telling me that the CPU fan is not installed. It is not wrong, but I was wondering how I can tell the BIOS I am using an AIO know. Also, in Alienware Command center it still shows the CPU fan as an option. I figured that would go away since there is no CPU fan anymore. Has anyone else seen this issue or have suggestions on how to fix it? Thank you in advance.

    Hey there! Thanks for the video, I did exactly the same with H60 AIO + 2x ML120 Elite (instead of pro) and it helped a lot. I was aware of the BIOS error that could be triggered by leaving the CPU FAN header out open so I plugged the H60 pump to it. I still get the Pre Boot Checker saying the CPU FAN failed to respond correctly... Tried plugging the H60 Radiator, one of the ML120 Elite on it instead and same problem. I'm getting quite desperate at this point. Any ideas?

    • @Jmaarroyo
      @Jmaarroyo ปีที่แล้ว

      You may get the error, because you're using a Y splitter, leave only a fan on that connector, I found that Y splitter have 3 pins on one side and 4 pins on the other side, both fans sometimes work simultaneously, but sometimes only one fan spins that's when you get bios error
      As I have liquid refrigeration on cpu, I installed an additional fan on "cpu fan" connector as this is available, but had to use noctua low noise cable, to have the fan quietly spinning, I make think the work around to use a Y splitter is to use a 3 pin fan cooler master.

      I’m having issues, updated bios, clean install, no fix. Thinking about returning it or gutting it and putting the components in a new case with a new mobo

      @@steverupert6988 My issue was low performance, mainly frames. As an example, on COD MW, and easy 200+ FPS game for the 3090 was getting 100-120 fps max. Didn't matter what graphic settings. However, after messing reading forums and messing around in the BIOS, I believe i've found a fix. If you're having crashes and low frames, Make sure you're on the latest BIOS (1.1.2), go into the bios and go to performance settings, you may have to select the option "use default settings" or something like that as you are going to have to change the OC and XMP settings. I had to select use default because for some reason the options to change OC and XMP were blocked, anyways, youre going to want to select the OC 2 profile and enable XMP 1. Doing this fixed all of my issues. Fans run loud but im not having any temp issues and my frames are well over 220+ on high settings.

    When you installed the Corsair fans, did you get any bios errors? I bought the one with the liquid cooler already installed and I’m just looking to do a push pull feature. Along with change the front fans adding the additional one. Also can we change the leds of the fans?

      No bios errors at all. But you need to make sure at least one of the fans is plugged in to the CPU header otherwise you will get bios errors. K not sure what you mean about changing leds. Are you talking about the color or the physical led
