Not having a good consistent special water move or physical ground move for garchomp and Gliscor was terrible ... but the game was so fun it overrode that

Heartgold & soulsilver version
Gen Z really like their degenerate versions of Pokémon, I played all the newer Pokemon games and the Pokémon designs are cringe honest to god I have no idea what they were thinking over there, it feels as if they are just pumping out new Pokémons without putting soul or logic behind it. What made the first gens also better is because they had a Pokémon TV series running along with it together with movies, I remember getting a mewtwo card from going to the cinema, and the designs back then actually made sense. And these layers they added come on, adding crystalisation, ''mega'' evolutions (lol) and shiny pokémon all on top on all these already poor designs, oof man big L. It looks to me they were clueless and wanted to milk out a franchise so they just came up with random shit. Wish we would just get earlier gen remakes, real remakes.
I understand that these types of RANKINGS can be subjective, but I also understand when a RANKING is straight up doodoo. This kinda reminds me of the time ESPN ranked Kobe Bryant the 80th best active player years back.
Honestly I would replace Ultra Sun and Moon with Sword and Shield any day. In my opinion SAS rips off the Ultra games with the "Darkest Day", idea. Plus they were too easy compared to them. The totems and some of the kahuna battles were really hard to get through, especially the Necrozma battle. I had to take a month away from the game because of how raged I was. Gave me time to come up with plenty of more strategies and look up type advantages because I didn't understand it at the time.
I liked that he showed love to Scarlet and Violet. Great games with an amazing Pokédex. Recent updates have fixed all the minor bugs that people cried about too
Fat disagree with usum and sv ranking. Usum is more playable than xy or red/blue, and ruby sapphire. As for sv, I know it's the first "open world" pokemon game but you technically can't go where you want cause level scaling doesn't exist, and the performance, graphical issues, and frequent crashes make it unplayable. Sv should be lower
You lied when you said SV is unplayable and the graphics being bad doesn't mean much when most of the other 3D Pokemon games have terrible graphics, if anything SV have better graphics than any pokemon games we saw so far, you also didn't even complain about Legends Arceus being number 1 which already says a lot
@@amineramdan2856 of course the graphics would be worse in S/M, it came out 7 years ago and was made for the 3DS. it was a miracle it looked as good as it did.

It's cause it's a remake that did zero to be better than the original. Every other remake had some kind of improvements made to it but bdsp were just copy pasted games
I’ll rank the games I’ve actually beaten and not just picked up and put down: P DIPA ORAS XY USUM SV PLA BDSP SWSH Don’t worry I’ve played all other generations just haven’t gotten round to beating them yet
I will not listen to complaints about ultra sun and moon (although he's absolutely right) Also Scarlet and violet is bad. It's better than sword and shield, but not by a ton. The main issue i have is that the open world is so empty, especially without DLC. My top 3 is very nostalgia based, but ultra sun and moon, Omega Ruby and alpha Sapphire, and then emerald (cuz it's oras with more content)
I agree with Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl being at the very bottom. While not bad games, they were just awful remakes and I think SuperBearNeo elaborated excellently why. Let's Go Pikachu/Eevee looked like something I'd have a soft spot for on paper, but the games are clearly made for 4 year old's due to how overly simplistic and easy they were. X&Y I simply did not like very much. While not bad, they felt painfully average and all the starters that aren't Froakie/Greninja line were underpowered. It stings to see Red, Blue, & Yellow so low on the list given my nostalgia for the originals including their respective remakes. And even Ultra Sun & Moon I heard a lot of great things about them. I may be behind after Gen 6, but Gen 7 looked like it made huge improvements over Gen 6 in every way. Props that Gen 2 got the love; there is a lot of mixed reactions even though there are quite a few criticisms such as unbalanced starters and all the gyms trying to be as anti-grass as possible. But it's the first to evolve and have an epic post game to travel to Kanto. Gen 3 is also good, but remakes better than the regular Ruby & Sapphire with Emerald trumping them all indeed. I have a hot take or at least it appears to be a hot take nowadays. But I was not the biggest fan of Gen 5. I will give credit they were trying something new given how difficult Gen 4 being the biggest and most lore heavy yet Pokemon was. And the lore was going to be impossible to top. Taking a step backwards to focus solely on new Pokemon and capture the feel of nostalgia Gen 1 was known for. But at the same time, I would have liked having some originals in the mix. Also, the three starter Pokemon line up was also a mess. Snivy/Serpierior line up looked the coolest even if they were way underpowered gameplay wise. Tepig threw me off by appearance, but Emboar was quite good. Though Oshawatt/Samurott was the real best. Also, the villians have been getting less interesting IMO; all these Team Rocket knock offs seemed to each get more bland than the last. And yes, Platinum was easily the best DS mainline Pokemon game and IMO the best one combat mechanic wise. As for Gen 8 and 9, I know I did not like their remakes. But Sword & Shield did look interesting even though my friends did not like it. The 3D world exploration and really well balanced starter Pokemon all really payed off. Scarlett and Violet also started as messes, but after the improved patches, the over world mechanics and being able to fly all over the place was an improvement. I'm curiously interested to play those now, but Legends Arceus, now that's what I'd call the true best mainline Pokemon title at least for the new generation. It went back to Gen 4's lore and how big and expansive that was while also making use of the modern quality mechanics.
Ok, so the general consensus is the comments section are a bunch of old heads, stuck in the past, that don't like opposing opinions. There are games that "do Pokemon" better than Pokémon, everything else is subjective, there is not right answer.
Emerald (seriously, RS are not different enough to justify the nine-space gap), SwSh, SV, and PLA are all ranked too high. PLA is decent but the world is too barren and not enough content outside of simply catching pokemon to justify it being THE best game in the franchise.
People say XY are easy but I don't get that. Sure your starter ends up overleveled, but it takes so much work to get newly caught wild pokemon on the same level as the rest of your team, even with the exp share.
Scarlet and Violet? At number 2? Above Unova? You're kidding me right? Even AFTER both DLCs, I wouldn't put it over even Gen 3 or Gen 4 (which are both highlights of the series to me, not to mention ORAS), but over any of the entries of the best region in the series? This is a sick joke, right? I'm not the only one throwing out this sentiment either as I can see from the comments.
I enjoyed all Pokemon games i have played from Leaf green & Fire Red some of my faves are X&Y and D&P i enjoyed the remakes BD&SP, S&V are very fun along with SW&SH and S&M were refreshing
I feel like you were saying ultra sun and ultra moon were better than the original s+m. I feel like maybe you should have put usum right above the originals and then said something about how a lot of people didn’t like that there wasn’t much content added. That doesn’t change the fact that they are better games tho.
I'm usually not hard on games and their graphics. Sorry but S&V had, and still have, MASSIVE performance issues. That should never be acceptable. I can agree with Arceus being really good.
Worst to best Pokemon Games for shiny hunting legendary Pokemon F all shiny locked- XD, PLA SV SM XY E- legendary Pokémon can run away or only 1 shiny worth hunting LGPE BDSP D- Legendaries but not the box art USUM, ORAS, SWSH, BW, B2W2, Col C- using IVs to shiny hunt RBY B- great games to shiny hunt: RS, GS, DP, FRLG A- Can hunt exclusive shiny mythical Pokémon- Platinum, Emerald, Crystal, Go
My only major change is that of the mainline games, Gen 4 is one was one of my least favorite, especially to replay. BDSP being so low makes sense. I didn't even finish it, but that's why I was confused why you put D&P above even Gold and Silver. Also, Sword and Shield that high up on the list??
No way BW is below SS or SV. Gen5 was the peak of pokemon games. Had the best story (not a childish boring story). A great soundtrack and environment. Had characters who are not "Smiling and jumping" every single time. Had brand new 150 Pokemons and triple battles. XY generation started to ruin Pokemons. They went from Pocket Monsters to fashionable pets. SM was a torture to finish because the characters were ways Smiling, Laughing, Jumping every single time. SS was similar to SM but with that Giant boring thing. SV had the worst character design I've ever seen in my life. The Gym leaders were so weird I would never take them seriously. Pokemon was serious until BW and BW2. After that, I don't know what happened. And saying the games that came after are better is a tremendous lack of notion. Just think... evolution of games would naturally give the resources the modern games have. Open World, Polished visuals etc... So why consider this when comparing games? Considering we are years ahead of gen5 and we got no serious Pokemon game with a real story is really painful. The people tell SS and SV are good just because of graphics/open world/modern mechanics. But they are not good games, just cash grab.

@@charlieboyd4431 I will admit those are really annoying but once you get through them the game is almost as good as Gen 5 and somehow these games are the hardest games since the Gen 5 games (except maybe BDSP). I suggest you give them a second chance.
@@reviewer945 i think bdsp was actually good games
@@charlieboyd4431 I never said they weren't (but I'm done with them if Pokemon Home ever becomes unavailable) but they are harder then other games with no grinding (if only because you have to complete the Pokedex) and that's what makes them and the Ultra Games great.
S&V were by far the worst I played in 2 decades. They were disappointing all around. There's pretty much no content, even with the DLC. The are NOT GREAT GAMES. All the Switch games should also get HUGE downmarks for always on EXP share. You complained about X&Y being too easy, but ALL the Switch games are Far easier.
There’s actually some pretty good stuff in there you just have no taste
You lost credibility the moment you said SV is worse than Legends Arceus
@@liamtherobot9656 No there isn't. Most of the pokemon games for the switch are hot garbage.
@@liamtherobot9656literally from gen 6 and onwards are shite like what?
Do Scarlet and Violet DLC Good to Evil
Good: Director Cyrano
Neutral: Carmine
Evil: Kieran
Great video u make a lot of good points for all the games my only problem is the order the rankings themselves like dp, swsh, even SV to a degree being ranked way to high those games should prob be in mid rankings(I love SV I do but I can't justify the bugginess and performance issues)
There's also the ultra games being ranked criminally low like the only thing the ultra games do worse then sm is that the story is worse. But even with the worse story I consider them to be some of the best games be default
The fact that SWSH and SV made top 5 makes this list a joke.
Only part where I don't agree is Crystal. Should have been detached from gold and silver in the ranking and put some places higher imo
I totally agree with Pokemon Legends Arceus being the best, but I feel like Scarlet and Violet was rated WAY too high
no is sword and shield is too hight
@@carloslabrador1432 agreed
Both games are perfect where they are in the video
@@liamtherobot9656no there not majority of lists have those mid switch games behind the gen 3-5 games 🤡✌️
My only complaint about Legends: Arceus is the limits of the Pokémon’s movepools.
Not having a good consistent special water move or physical ground move for garchomp and Gliscor was terrible ... but the game was so fun it overrode that
For me, these are the best in order (1 version per gen, remakes are allowed too) 👇.
17. Brilliant Diamind & Shining Pearl version
16. Lets go Evee & Lets go Pikachu version
15. Sword & Shield version
14. X & Y version
13. Legends Arceus version
12. Scarlet & Violet version
11. Sun & Moon version
10. Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon version
9. Black & White version
8. Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire
7. Red, blue & yellow version
6. Gold, silver & crystal version
5. Black & White 2 version
4. Platinum version
3. Firered & leafgreen version
2. Emerald version
1. Heartgold & soulsilver version
Switch fire red/leaf green and platinum and I agree damn near 100% my top three Pokémon games is HG/SS, Emerald and Platinum in no particular order
USUM are to low. And HGSS are to high but ye most of this is agreeable
ORAS is better than Emerald.
Saw BDSP first -> Like
Saw RBY, FRLG, RS early -> remove like
Gen Z really like their degenerate versions of Pokémon, I played all the newer Pokemon games and the Pokémon designs are cringe honest to god I have no idea what they were thinking over there, it feels as if they are just pumping out new Pokémons without putting soul or logic behind it.
Don't forget to
Fighting type good to evil🥊
Good: Zamazenta
Grey: Hitmon family
Evil: Marshadow
I understand that these types of RANKINGS can be subjective, but I also understand when a RANKING is straight up doodoo. This kinda reminds me of the time ESPN ranked Kobe Bryant the 80th best active player years back.
To be honest, I love Pokémon Y, both versions of Pokémon Moon & Pokémon Violet.
Bad taste
@@franciscoalmeida9019Please let this man have an opinion.
@@franciscoalmeida9019just because someone doesn't Have Gen 5 as one of there favs doesn't mean they have bad taste 💀💀💀
Finally someone who really knows how great Scarlet and Violet are, definitely in Top 5 Pokemon games.
Ultra sun is my favorite Pokemon game idk why everyone ranks it so low
Honestly I would replace Ultra Sun and Moon with Sword and Shield any day. In my opinion SAS rips off the Ultra games with the "Darkest Day", idea. Plus they were too easy compared to them. The totems and some of the kahuna battles were really hard to get through, especially the Necrozma battle. I had to take a month away from the game because of how raged I was. Gave me time to come up with plenty of more strategies and look up type advantages because I didn't understand it at the time.
Ong bro, just started playing UM and totem Araquanid/Alolan Marowak had me fuming 😤
Are you saying the absence of dark and steel was a bug/glitch? They didn't exist in Gen 1
I recently finished Pokémon Scarlet! 🌟
I really love this Pokémon game! 💙
Sv should be lower
el definitamente dijo que no obsesiones con los graficos y rendimiento de escarlata y purpura
@@CockroachTheFoul I'm talking about 3D pokemon games when it comes to switch, I'm obviously not going to include the 3DS

Weak cop out placing dbsp so low but diamond and pearl high it's the same game lmfao
It's cause it's a remake that did zero to be better than the original. Every other remake had some kind of improvements made to it but bdsp were just copy pasted games
I’ll rank the games I’ve actually beaten and not just picked up and put down:
P
DIPA
ORAS
XY
USUM
SV
PLA
BDSP
SWSH
Don’t worry I’ve played all other generations just haven’t gotten round to beating them yet
Which Pokémon Would the Avengers Have?
Agislash=Capitain America
Armorouge=Iron Man
Shiny Machamp=The hulk
Tinkaton=Thor
Spidops=Spider man
You don't have to use the joycons to catch pokemon in let's go you can use the system itself to catch
I will not listen to complaints about ultra sun and moon (although he's absolutely right)
Also Scarlet and violet is bad. It's better than sword and shield, but not by a ton. The main issue i have is that the open world is so empty, especially without DLC. My top 3 is very nostalgia based, but ultra sun and moon, Omega Ruby and alpha Sapphire, and then emerald (cuz it's oras with more content)
Heartgold and Soul silver is the GOAT Johto just hits different ♥️
Finally someone who gets it ! YES ! Legends Arecus is the best main game
Agreed 100%
I don’t consider that a main line game
Well y’all, gamefreak had finally done it with a new legends game!
This sure is a list. I disagree with most of the placements personally, but everyone has their own opinions
X and Y are amazing. I always thought so. Story was not a slog. Competitive was way more accessible. Megas were the raddest
pokemon scarlet and violet dlc characters good to evil
(not in order)
good- florian and juliana, ogerpon,
crispin, lacey, amarys, perrin, cyrano
grey area- carmine, drayton, ms briar
evil- kieran, loyal three, pecharunt
No Florian and Juliana are evil
Heartgold and souls Silver were the best I ever played but what I like about Arceus is it'd very different
The opponents aren’t challenging even with the Pokémon you just caught.
First spot taken by a lesser PalWorld? 💀 Should've been Scarlet/Violet or X/Y
Scarlet and Violet are trash lmao.
necrozma is a cool pokemon but the story of Lillie and her family is much better so the ultra games are worse than the original
Ik people say that the grby post game is shallow but you got to remember pokemon stadium, that be worry of a post game to themm
I'm convinced this guy genuinely doesn't like Pokémon
This is the most controversial pokemon list
Pokemon ultra moon and sun shouldnt be worse becuase they can br dlcs becuase they add more to the story
Sword and shield are terrible games
No, they are pretty good games but mostly because I grew up with them
I enjoyed all Pokemon games i have played from Leaf green & Fire Red some of my faves are X&Y and D&P i enjoyed the remakes BD&SP, S&V are very fun along with SW&SH and S&M were refreshing
PLA would be my #1 spot too. #5 would be S/V.
Worst to best Pokemon Games for shiny hunting legendary Pokemon
F all shiny locked- XD, PLA SV SM XY
E- legendary Pokémon can run away or only 1 shiny worth hunting LGPE BDSP
D- Legendaries but not the box art USUM, ORAS, SWSH, BW, B2W2, Col
C- using IVs to shiny hunt RBY
B- great games to shiny hunt: RS, GS, DP, FRLG
A- Can hunt exclusive shiny mythical Pokémon- Platinum, Emerald, Crystal, Go
My favourite is arceus
Platinum will always be the best for me
Bug type Pokémon good to evil.
Black 2 White 2 are best games and you can't change my mind
List was made by someone who isn’t over the age of 20 lol
My only major change is that of the mainline games, Gen 4 is one was one of my least favorite, especially to replay. BDSP being so low makes sense. I didn't even finish it, but that's why I was confused why you put D&P above even Gold and Silver.
Also, Sword and Shield that high up on the list??
Meowths deeds good to evil
But they are not good games, just cash grab.
have u even played these games wtf is this list
Water Type Pokemon Good To Evil!
Ruby and Fire Red are by far the best
I swear, if I have to listen to another person sing Hoenn's praises (aka Gen 3) I am going to hurl!! It makes me sick because they're not that damn good!
Not gonna do all but my top 3 are
1: Legends Arceus
2: Heart Gold/Soul Silver
3: X/Y
Scarlet/violet are best because dlc allows you to catch ALL starters
This top 3 tho.. trash. HG-SS best then emerald.
I reaaally think you just have played the switch games and maybe emerald was your childhood game but no other game in the series which is fine, since there is no way you rank those so high
