if you are only doing f1 racing you should be fine, mine broke from drifting as you have to counter steer aggressively. but in all honesty I recommend you get the g29 driving force if you are on a budget.
I have had this wheel for about 10 years, during which time my father and I played almost every day, until this month when the following problems appeared. the steering wheel no longer turns by itself when I put the usb in the computer, I have to turn it by hand, it doesn't have enough force to oppose the resistance when I drift, I have to pull it to the opposite point myself and it makes a very loud sound hard when the poor guy tries to apply force feedback. It would help me to know if what you did in the clip could fix my problem or if I have something else that is equivalent to buying a new steering wheel (sorry for the long message)
Well I can only guess, but since you are still getting force feedback (FFB) then that means your sensor in the encoder wheel is working as it is triggering the FFB the only problem is it doesn't trigger FFB according to your steering angle. You can try the repair, just get a screwdriver, a cheap washer that fits snugly and super glue it back and see if it works. As for the wheel no longer calibrating on it's own when you plug it in it could be driver issues. You have to download the old Logitech drivers for this old af wheel

yes it will work but please make sure to download the old logitech software for the g27 and follow the instructions in the link I have provided in the description and ensure Ghub and Logitech updater are closed before opening up the old logitech software.
