Bought by g27 in 2012 but it was quite a disappointment. Sure it was nice having a shifter but the FF was much worse than my old belt driven Microsoft sidewinder wheel that I got in 1999 as a 9 year birthday gift.

You can lower the screw clamps on the shifter once you have tightened them to the desk, same with wheel clamps. Just push down and turn, a bit like when you open child sake medicine bottle.

bought mine in 2015 and got a free one because amazon had to send another one when the first one got lost. I got the second and a month later the 1st one showed up and I sold that wheel to my friend for the price i paid for it originally. So basically got it for free and still works in 2024. I'm extremely abusive on shifts and I do miss a gear every now and then but it still works and the solid stand i have made it last longer than what it would of on the desk mount. Best budget wheel I ever bought.

I bought this wheel around 2 years ago and returned it back after a day. Gear system feels so unrealistic and bad. Sure it might still be fun to use for other people but wasn't for me. Also there's a FFB deadzone at the center.

im just upgrading my wheel to a g27( found it for 200usd with a wheelstand pro) from a logitech momo that I used for two years, in the last year I took it apart and tried to 3dprint parts for the 900° mod but it wast good, for the heating problems im thinking of just taking of the cover

Thanks for sharing, ive bought a g25 and g27 with the purpose of sticking it into an old dual arcade racer cabinet. Im removing the casing and thanks to you will also mount some fans. These older wheel are compatible with older consoles

Those mounting bolt caps will slot back in to the casing just push and turn OUT OF THE WAY !

I literally bought mine off of facebook markertplace for 50 pounds, yup, not sure what that is in USD but for 50 quid, that was amazing . All in good condition, the shifter was also included haha. I live in the UK ofc

I bought and fixed one a few weeks ago(calibration problem) and I've ordered the same heat sinks, some smaller ones for mosfet chips and a 24v computer fan to hook up to the power plug The fan will turn whenever the power is plugged in and it might have to be glued to the upper shell but other than that it's probably fine

Been using a g27 for years with none of these issues except the overheating, I just cut a hole and mounted a PC fan in it but other than that I've used this heavily even with the fan unplugged I've never had anything break or come miss aligned. Also the g27 was out before ghub and doesn't need it, g27 only needs the Logitech profiler. The only downside the g27 has is overheating, old ffb and because it has a dual motor system each motor has to be set to not fight each other and therefore creates a center deadzone that has no ffb. Good review but the g27 is a great starter wheel for $100 to $200 and is highly recommended for beginners. Plus you get buttons on your shifter which they don't do anymore

My Logitech g27 always steers to 100 percent with the slightest movement. I only have the problem in Windows 10 but not windows 7. Any idea why?

I currently have an MIA G27. The first thing that broke was the reverse gear selector switch, where you press down on the shifter. I managed to reconfigure my controls in Grand Prix Legends and Euro/American Truck Sims to select reverse using a button. But then I started to get the alignment problem. Everything is aligned ok on the grid, but after only a couple of laps, I'm having to turn the wheel about 45 degrees to the left to get the car to go straight. It happens even faster if I'm using force-feedback and bumping the car/truck over kerbs. But after watching this video, I might try getting myself some Hex/Allen Keys and opening up the case to find the encoder wheel. Hopefully, like you, I can find a way to stop it spinning on the shaft. Thanks for the inspiration! 👍 EDIT: I've just tried to find the follow-up video that you said you were going to make, with more details about your repairs, tools, materials etc, but I can't find it. Did you smoke a blunt and forget all about it? If so, that's why I don't like drugs! 😂
