I bought a s5iix because of this update. Clearly lumix has better support than Sony and actually cares.

If the next S1HII etc has all of this, and Internal ND's I would be concerned for any other camera company
If Lumix offered all this in their S5II(X) you know they have something sweet in store for the S1H. It has BIG shoes to fill competing against Canon's R5C, C70, Sony's FX3 and so on. I imagine a stacked sensor of some sort, internal NDS and 4k120 will be standard. I however, highly doubt its gonna have 8k.

Yes E IS High is like a superpower but I would encourage everyone to try E IS Normal. For a lot of situations it gives great results with less crop.
The handheld run scene was crazy 😮
I have multiple S5 II and haven’t updated yet just because I’ve been shooting and just haven’t got around to it 😅. Updating tomorrow.

If you only had one prime lens, would you choose the 18mm over the 24mm? In this video today while using the 18mm, your face doesn't look distorted. And the extra width lets you crop in. I think the 18mm might be good for both landscapes and studio talking head videos.
Hi, great video. I was wondering if you could help me. I've just purchased my new Lumix S5iiX and was wondering about the new firmware. As I have not downloaded any new firmware yet, I was wondering if I only need to download the latest firmware only or if I have to download and install previous firmware beforehand, then the latest? If you can get past the 1.45 crop the High Ibis setting is gimbal-like. It is magical for a mirrorless camera. I am using the Proxy and yes the AF is much better now as well.
What about rolling shutter? Any improvement? I love the S5IIX but currently have it up for sale due to the atrocious rolling shutter, which was the only issue, but I'd return to it if it was fixed.

Could you please make a video of a rolling shutter test? You could try wide but specifically a long lens with fast moving horizontal objects, such as a view out of a moving car side window, that would super helpful.
Is the Warping alright now with the normal IS? I saw some footage that made it unusable :/
When you burst shoot do you have black outs in between?
This is great when walking with the camera, but for the best video quality, it is better to not use the EIS high mode.
your canon r6II didnt overheat??? i'm considering getting the panasonic r6II because of so much overheating in canon r6 and r6II

Gosh it’s getting difficult choosing wether to stick with Sony
stronger IBIS but lower 4k resolution ... I've found new enhanced ibis not a good for any commercial work because the resolution and sharpness decreases . Only ok for home videos and vlogging
I shooting sports in FHD 50p. FFrame AF is still DFD in this mode. So my only complain about this camera still there(((
Fhd 50 in apsc mode has phase detect

The auto focus is bad i own the camera the auto focus is slow and bad Im debating to return it or send it to service.
Don't use autofocus.
The greatest cinematographers and photographers never used autofocus.
And if your intention is to level up, then drop AF and instead only use it sparingly as a tool when it's absolutely needed.
But if your only reason for buying a camera is AF, then you'll always remain in the realm of the hobbyist / videographer.
Simply put, you create the images, you create the composition, you tell the story, not the camera.
Something not right then, it’s definitely not slow for me. Definitely noticed an improvement in the stickiness to the subject after the new fw though
