Sony would have milked at least 2 "new" (read: rebranded) full-price bodies out of that FW update....
🤣 100%
Lol yeah 😂😂😂
well your the most honest person covering panasonic, I'm not throwing shade on other creators but no panasonic guy feels this genuinely critical of panasonic, I love the fact you don't hold anything back, much appreciated.
oh that dude you mentioned, Dustin is it?! said he is not an panasonic ambassador in a video I think.
anyways much appreciated your time to cover this update x
Appreciate the feedback a ton! Thank you
I installed it 2 days ago and it's definitely a huge upgrade. My 2 year old daughter is as tough of a target as it gets for an AF system and it now holds up much better than it used to. Unfortunately it still struggles when she comes towards the camera very quickly, but even that got decidedly better.
Good to hear!
That could be a sensitivity setting, not entirely sure as I ran pretty quickly toward my baby with it and it worked every time
@@AnthonyRodriguezz Yeah, I've never really figured those out. What's your recommendation?
@@PolyglotMonkey i recommend you to use this settings for that type of shots: speed +3, sensitivity +3. With this settings transitions are much smoother, and more responsive to fast moving object, or you want quickly change subject. You barelly even seen change between distance or objects.
@@ryszardzokowski812 won't the AF become "jumpy" with those settings?
Short family clips is also my use case. Stabilisation is much more important than AF. I can steer the focus but for stabilisation the Sony workflow is a no-go.
This is so so nice to see! I’m so glad I ordered this camera a few weeks ago, and now they’ve drastically improved the AF! I absolutely agree though, we NEED touch tracking
Let em know!
Thanks for the honest review
Always!
Sony AF is far from perfect too. It's given me numerous problems. Today I only use the S5iiX.
Same for me 👍
Yessir but still much more robust and usable than lumix
Maybe a comparison? New Lumix AF Vs Sony AF? Just a short little video? 😊@@AnthonyRodriguezz
@Broskisnowskiexactly, he's likely talking anout a old a7ii 😂
Using the absolute latest Sony AF in things like the A6700, it's really pulled away from Panasonic now. I think the dedicated processor is probably a large part of it.
Great review!
Love the new update.
Liter6 shot 6hours of a corporate panels with it earlier today, triple camera. This AF is 4x better than it was! We have piece of mind now when shooting close ups!
Love to hear it! I’m definitely happy about this update
Hey Anthony. Check and make sure that when you select Touch Tracking you're also in the Full Area mode. I tried it after upgrading 2 nights ago, indoors in fairly low light nonetheless and it was very sticky. It previously lost tracking when subjects moved toward the edge in previous FW and other area modes. Check it out & see. Good luck!
Hey! It’s still not even close to Sony unfortunately and the fact that I have to go to a different AF to toggle it on is a no go for me
Very helpful. Subscribed. Now I’m considering this camera. How would you recommend changing the focus tracking subject while recording run and gun.
Thanks!
I would recommend just not using the touch tracking…
I just go the Lumix 5 SII with Sigma 24-70 f2.8 lens and i really happy about it, thx for this update really usefull i will defenetly test proxi editing! what about your video setup? are you using a smoke filter? i am trying to get this look since long time..thx again for the help.
I actually do all my diffusion digitally!
Thanks for amazing video, can i ask what lens do you use in lumix in the beach , look so natural and super nice colors!!! Epic review like always
I used a simple sigma 28-70 f2.8!
The colors came from the way I ended up colorgrading it all.
Thanks for the kind words!
Great video. Can you confirm something? Can you record proxies and have an external SSD at the same time? I heard you can't, be that seems silly to me.
Hey! I’m probably not the best person to ask as I never record externally to an ssd
The dynamic range at the beach is wild tho!
Always impressed by this little camera
For interview settings just focus manually. I can understand having AF for weddings/events
I don’t just do interview but also there plenty of times where the subject moves back and forth a lot and the plane of focus is too shallow for that.
I do use MF often for certain interview but if I can have reliable AF that I can rely on stress free for these scenarios, that’s a HUGE plus
@silbay lol what?
You do know open up the lens means make the DOF more shallow, right?
L
After your S5 II AF rant, I know this opinion is honest and I'm glad is like that, cuz I had the same experience with the original AF and this one set it right within my expectations. Keep up the good work, and keep the videos coming, even though I bought the camera still like to check back on my Lumix folks to see what they think! Your projects seem nice, if you ever need an editing hand hit me up!
Thanks brother I appreciate the kind words!
I try to be as genuine as possible
Yeah I trust he’s being completely honest. When the S5II dropped EVERYBODY was talking like it was the best shit ever except for him. Fast forward a year and none of those creators are using the S5II because of the same criticisms he spoke up about originally.
@jumpmansz I wouldn't be that harsh, but yes, everyone was all over the place about the camera being god-tier (which in some ways it is). When discussing autofocus, they said it is great but not as good as Sony's, and that's it. They didn't care to mention that it is a bit flawed. I still bought it after watching honest AF reviews, but I still would have liked the problem like that to be a little more emphasized.
Before this update, this camera was just a great value for the money. Now, it's a fucking beast with absurd value for the money.
@@mihajlomirkovic7658yeah sorry I was over simplifying for the sake of brevity. It’s a very good camera but his review felt less like an ad (like everyone else) and more of an honest overview of a very good camera. Hope you love yours bro 😎
IBIS is dangg crazyyyy!
Buck wild!
Hi Anthony, In which case/mode do you see the improve on the rolling shutter? I'm looking for a new camera for video and there's two things that bothers me with the lumix s5 ii. the possible moiré and the rolling shutter
Honestly I wouldn’t worry about either of those two things.
My speculations aren’t scientific so I don’t want to point you in the wrong direction but those two issues are very minor regardless of the update or not
I watched your AF rant, so I decided to buy zv-e1, 3 days later, you make this video XD thank you
Hahaha sorry bro! The ZV-E1 is still a great buy and I’m definitely not selling
Great video as always Anthony🎉 I have a few questions
1. Is the ZV E1 enough for a long talking head(1-2h) in 4K 24p or do you use a fan?
2. Why are you making proxies? I have a Macbook Pro M1 Max and it can handle 10 bit, 4K Log even in 120p h264 or 265 in any bitrate.
Wishing you great succes with your company🎉
Thanks Paul!
1. Yes, I’ve never had it overheat for situations like this. No fan
2. I talk about it in the videos, but to quickly send off to an editor so the project file is only 8gb instead of 128gb
would you recommend using the Video Assist 12g with this cam at this point? I know in past you made a video not favoring the setup over an actual Blackmagic camera.
I personally never suggest externally recording. I feel it’s cumbersome and could easily fail as it’s transferring data through a non-locking cable.
It’s also heavier and require more cables/rigging
@@AnthonyRodriguezz have you noticed a big difference in the softness/sharpness of the external Braw vs S52 internal codec? Has Panasonic adjusted this? I guess my main reason for thinking of external Braw is to take away the sharpness and debating if the cumbersome setup is worth the end result. thanks
What if you grab the lens, pull yhe focus where u want ans hold that subject?
And then you’re on a gimbal as a solo operator and subject isn’t standing still?
Woah… 🤯
Do you have recommended focus settings for the S5II?
I’m honestly still trying to figure it out myself before making any recommendations
@@AnthonyRodriguezz Yeah same for myself, I'm not very sure about it, but the new update made it so much better 😅
Tried the stabilization by running through our apartment the whole afternoon 😂
How’d you get in here sir
Haha! This man… was fun hanging a bit last week 🫡
Thank for making me keep my Panasonic gear. :) for the moment. I do miss touch tracking for certain cases though, and it’s a bit frustrating that LUMIX seems consider this a “serious amateur” camera..! Not adding 1080p out is really annoying for me, since I can’t send the picture to my director or use certain monitors. Open gate is fantastic though ❤.
This is great to hear!
I will disagree, auto focus could be too sticky, I moved from Sony to Panasonic because as someone who does a bunch of product demos, the Sony auto focus would not focus on the product and would stick on my eyes. The Lumix had it nailed perfectly. I also talk with my hands all the time, and I have yet to have the Lumix not take the focus away from my face when I did not have something in my hands.
You can turn the sensitivity in any camera to be more responsive for that purpose. Having an AF system be more accurate is the best possible case scenario and then you can tweak from there
@@AnthonyRodriguezz Definitely not so easy with Sony... and in fact they introduced "product showcase mode" for that purpose... which while was on cheap cameras, was not on the A7 series. =) Problem with Sony, it would just stick to the Eye if the eye was in the picture... Talking works for talking head stuff but not for product demos, etc.
I would never move to another system just because of some AF that can be turneu down from the menu. Moving to other systems is the most expensive thing you can do. În the video world Sony does deliver even though Panasonic has good features that Sony is just right now implementing(looking at shutter angle- a simple mathematical problem that Sony ignored it in their "cinema" line)
@@pauuuuul87 Main reason we moved is quite simple, Open Gate recording. Open gate 6k, saves us a crap ton of work of editing same footage twice from two cameras.
@SlavGuns yes I can understand that. The only problem with Panasonic 6K is that it has a lot of Rolling Shutter. I usually shoot în 4K and then crop. 80% of the time, I leave it as it is, but sometimes I upscale the footage. But, I do this only for social media. For a paid client I would understand the move to Lumix
They should just add an "advanced user" section that will enable additional things like we want and hide it for those that don't want
Yeah… I think they might be trying to appeal too much to the beginner crowd and over complicated simple things for the sake of ease of use
Blablabla....autofocus beczuse paying clients? Pros use manual focus not autofocus or?...no AF is perfect! MF is😊
The AF seems a little better, I think. It still has the issues all the Panasonics do, like you'll be on face and body, someone is gesturing and it suddenly focusses on their hand, which is really annoying. Sonys just don't do that in my experience and nor do Canons, so it's still second tier AF I think.
The colour etc is still the best though and the IBIS is way better than competitors.
On proxies I don't I've ever used a proxy file since switching to Resolve 7 years ago or so and just upgrading GPUs to decent ones. Back when I used Premiere it was a nightmare, it's so slow I had to make proxies, and it still barely uses any GPU power compared to Resolve. Resolve saved tons of time over the years just keeping everything native whether it's Red, HEVC or anything else.
It got maybe 35% better than before.
Also, just have proxies ready to go without have to do anything is really nice to send off to an editor.
I like not having to do extra steps after a long shoot
@@AnthonyRodriguezz it's definitely easier than sending full size files if you're on hotel wifi too!
@Anthony Rodriguez love my s5ii over all but noticed it really has a hard time locking onto my baby's face. You have that issue with your son? I'll be standing over my 4 month old on the floor and shooting photos and it's detecting her face like 50% of the time. Not sure how other cameras do in this area if this is par for the course or what
Have you updated your camera?
@@AnthonyRodriguezzyeah it was right after update, but when I updated I didn't see there were special instructions to put the camera in P mode first so hopeful that didn't mess anything up. Like it's accurate when it grabs my kid but it wont detect a face there sometimes. To be fair, I'm inside and she has a big headband on.
Also unrelated: Dustin isn't an ambassador. He did a whole video about him getting confused for one lol. The ambassadorship I guess was discontinued and they follow a new more casual model now that doesn't demand brand exclusivity.
How is touch to track for photos?
Just as unusable
not being able to shoot 6k open gate with the new proxy feature is a disappointment :/ glad the autofocus is better though 👏 I tested my one autofocus lens for maybe 2-3 minutes and it seemed nice lol 👏
wait I just watched the part about the touch tracking being unusable on Lumix, what do you normally do for autofocus settings on your S5iix, genuinely wondering because the few times I've used autofocus I mostly just tapped the screen lol (and it wasn't great)
I never tap my screen because it just reverts to spot focus 😞
I usually just use wide or center focus and then have my hand ready on the focus ring to override it
You mentioned other options being better out there as your reasoning for not selling. What other cameras are comparably better in a similar price range in your opinion?
Price point isn’t a factor for me as I use these cameras professionally. With that being said, I still run back to lumix and they’re amongst the cheapest!
@@AnthonyRodriguezz okay cool man thanks
what a lad
😏
Customizable desqueeze also ! please ! :*
🙏🏼
@@AnthonyRodriguezz that and a desqueeze mode for photography. Id like to use my sirui to shoot panavision pictures but the desqueeze doesn't allow it ! :(
S5ii or s5iix which do you recommend for hybrid use?
They’re both basically the same camera. If you’re not sure the exact reason why you want the s5iix, get a used s5ii
Honestly the average filmmaker is using manual focus and cine lenses even on very autofocus cameras like sony and canon, whereas the average videographer / hobbyist & Vloggers is demanding and asking for the most perfect autofocus.
Hybrid cameras like the S5ii and R5c which are cinema cameras first with photography capability is catering to both budget filmmakers and videographers alike. The cinema world has changed alot over 10 years to where it used to be straight cinema cameras with no IBIS or Autofocus and with no dual gain ISO, forcing you to professional light your videos, is now being ruled by the demand of everything more auto friendly.
but yes the s5ii is a great hybrid camera and I may grab it as my new B-camera & photography go to.
For me lumix always was better than sony as sony does not have the feature set i want. I can do more with lumix so no sony for me.
Lumix does have a more robust feature set for videographers
@@AnthonyRodriguezz open gate, better ibis and 6k are th winning arguments for me and you need to spend at least fx3 money to get a non overheating full frame camera
Please add touch tracking! I’m fine with a basic mode if you don’t want that but then give us an advanced setting. 🙏🏼
Let em know!!
@@AnthonyRodriguezz did you notice there’s no proxy recording in open gate or 5.9k? Kinda sucks that’s not possible. I was gonna sign up for frame io but it doesn’t make sense since I shoot a lot of anamorpjic
What 2 Sony camera set up do u use ?
I don’t run a 2 camera setup from Sony. Only have 1
@@AnthonyRodriguezz cool what’s kinda work do u do ?
I believe they are holding back the goodies for the next camera, I have it in my head that this new firmware update was something they were working for a new camera and they decide to give it to us as a little taste of whats is coming, at least I hope that that the case 🤞
Maybe 😉
Is there a way to combat rolling shutter with a firmware update?
Hey! Did you watch the whole video?
@@AnthonyRodriguezz Not yet, at work sneak watching when I can haha
@@Seph_vision haha! Towards the end I go over it. Nothing too scientific but it seems like it helps
@@AnthonyRodriguezz okay dope thanks bro
@@AnthonyRodriguezzjust watched it. Looks way better
I have owned the Lumix S5II and Canon R5, my last Canon, Owned many canon's. Been a pro photographers for the last 17 years, Mostly Canon , Have missed many/few moments due to Auto Focus issues, After seeing Multiple Sony's in action at a wedding reception. I went and Bought the A7RV with 24-70 GM, 16-35 GM and a 85 Sigma F1.4 Art Lens. After using the Sony for couple of months, I can tell you the Sony is the King of Auto Focus, hands down Bro!! LOVE IT, Dumped all my canon Gear , including My very $$$Glass collection and also the Lumix S5II on Ebay. Extremely Pleased with my decision
Sonys AF really is top notch
Of course YT recommends me your video after NAB
Gotta love the algo!
Remember it’s all in the hips 😏🕺🏽
That’s a beautiful kid… congrats… I still think todays filmmakers are to dependent on AF… No doubt it’s a delight but I started out for 4 years shooting on a modified super 16mm CP16 film camera… ❤
Thanks!
For a lot of solo operator jobs that don’t necessarily require a whole crew, it’s essential.
It basically lets me profit more from certain jobs and have a lot less stress when I have reliable AF.
The IBIS is making me want one of these now, even though I am pretty happy with my Sony Fx30. My only issue with it is that I would prefer not to have to use a gimbal at all, and the S5 seems to solve that entirely. Why did you do this to me? 😡 Seriously though, great video 👍
Sorry 🤭
One question why do you use autofocus in interview scenario.
Sometimes people move a ton and the plane of focus is really shallow
My guess...... In case the subject moves 🤯
BRAW internal recorder is a must.
A must?
I know you're a film maker but when you say the image quality is best out of all mirrorless cameras is that for photos as well?
I don’t have too much of a reference for photo but I do know they look great!
Lumix add touch tracking! We want touch tracking!!!!!
Yessir!
hey you should do what justin dose and get panasonic to "lend" you lenses so you can critically review it for us, the lumix s pro18mm f.18 looks dope, I'm currently using sigma 20mm f1.4 dg dn art, 2mm is still 2mm loool.
Haha! That would be a lot of work on the back end for gear I don’t need but maybe!
@@AnthonyRodriguezzyeah your probably right tbh, but i recon panasonic has the best customer care, and your way more than just a customer, so i bet they would make it super easy, one email max i would bet.

100% want touch tracking. Miss it after my canon 80d
🙌🏼 let them know!
ive got the lumix s5iix and I love the camera. Ive never had an issue with auto focus. I love the image quality, the colors and the 6k open gate. What else do we need as creators?!? It's time to focus on the content and stop comparing camera companies.
I’ve had so many issues with AF. It 100% needed to be updated and still needs to be updated further.
It’s not about comparing camera companies buy rather having the right tool that makes your life easier
@@AnthonyRodriguezz agreed. We also used the cameras for different purposes.
What are you using for a selfie stick?
I don’t have a selfie stick!
listening to customers is how you gain customers
As a long time GH4/5 user, who jumped in S5 as soon as it came out, I do not regret switching to ZV-E1 (and a few zve10s), because my clients do not care for rolling shutter or ibis, they want to be in focus :)
🙌🏼🙌🏼
Also, I almost never get rid of my older gear, so I still keep all my Lumix M4/3 cameras and lenses, all the Lmount lenses, I just added a whole bunch of E-mount cameras and mostly prefer using them. But for some jobs I still use the GH5
Do you ever talk about all the wonderful things Panasonic provides that Sony cannot ever touch? Like C4k, waveforms, luminous spot meter, a score of other things. Plus the colors are better and the image of the LUMIX is much better. What about how much better V-log is?!? So much easier to grade. What about the horrible amount of picture profiles?? These are nothing more that, "We have no idea what anything should look like, so here are a whole bunch of image adjustment functions for you--figure it out for yourselves." nonsense.
Give us some decent picture profiles I camera, Sony.
Always
I am a Sony fanboy….not going to lie, but I really love seeing LUMIX getting better and better at AF because that is the main reason I left Panasonic years ago. Would love to see Panasonic to be on par with Sony. One day! Great video!
I recently switched from Sony and Lumix and I don't regret it one but. Already better to me.
I like the a7c mark 1 bodies...cheap price .(used) ....ibis...big battery...and ....actual full line pro.lenses
Hmm i was considering selling my s5ii and getting the fx30 because of the 4k60 crop. Now i dont know what to do lol
Well… everything is cropped with the fx30 😂
@@AnthonyRodriguezz Yeah, I just hate having to swap lens because of the crop.
I get that, I just change the way I shoot and if I NEED a wide shot, it’ll just have to be 24p or I have to take some steps back.
Not ideal but I make it work for the sake of everything else
@@AnthonyRodriguezz Y3ah fair . The way i see it is if im shooting 4k60 cropped on a full frame most of the time, might aswell just get a crop sensor camera and spend less on lens and have less weight.
@SharrodVisuals I see you point 🤔the S5ii is far better than the fx30 in a plethora of ways though. Even just comparing the images, the Lumix is far superior imo
touch tracking is a first option in af menu
Yessir! Not very good at all though
@@AnthonyRodriguezz yes, I use it sometimes but its unreliable
Please add usable touch tracking Lumix. There is no one in the world that would not complain about having the option to do touch tracking. Not having touch tracking is just another point to consider choosing another camera over the Lumix. You have nothing to loose, but everything to gain, please add touch tracking.
S5ii is best price/performance prosumer hybrid allrounder by now. Main issue is lens prices! Samyang should start releasing l-mount lenses
Sigma lenses are great!
Just out of curiosity, why use AF for a talking head interview?
Multiple cameras, having a really shallow DOF and having a subject that moves ALOT. I’d rather not have to tell the client “try not to sway back and forth” which ends up taking away from what they will eventually say.
I don’t use it for all talking head interviews and I just realized all my BTS broll was from talking head interviews 🤦🏽♂️😂
Dude, when client pay you good amount of money. You should do manual focusing
Dude,
You do know AF is used all the time for certain shots that would otherwise be impossible with a smaller crew?
I understand what you’re saying and for most client work I shoot manually. When I’m running on a gimbal and I am solo, having reliable AF and specifically the control of touch tracking is so useful
I agree with your autofocus opinion. Thanks for bugging lumix
They will catch on. I’m sure of it.
After meeting the team, I can tell they actually care but there also a chain of command they have to answer to in Japan
Why the s5ii over the x?
I don’t need ProRes or like to record externally
@@AnthonyRodriguezz that’s literally the difference???
Basically, yes
Why don't you use manual focus on your client work as that's what professionals do

Broooo… I almost cut that part out 😂
I was a bit harsh
Wait, doesn’t the zve1 over heat?
Ive never had it overheat on me!
@@AnthonyRodriguezz how many minutes did you use it? So many said after 15 min, it died on them.
Hours. Probably like 2 hours
@@AnthonyRodriguezz wow. Thats a first I heard about that. Perhaps a video debunking the stigma might be worth doing.
@petero1068 I talked about it in my comparison video!
There are a good amount of videos on YT though debunking that myth though
There’s no doubt that having good autofocus is a helpful tool for filmmakers, but we’ve been spoiled with this technology. Filmmakers have been pulling focus for years without the need for this technology.
I agree!
The work and expectations from clients have changed as well! Solo operator jobs and running on a gimbal is more common than not nowadays
Are your clients running around in the videos ? Why the auto focus is priority?
I am and sometimes the clients are, yes
Your comment about rolling shutter is interesting because everybody tells me the rolling shutter in this camera is absolute crap!? as far as auto focus goes, nothing can touch a Sony. The only weakness in Sony camera is the ibis is mediocre. I don’t know, I’m probably gonna stick with Sony, but I might rent this camera for the weekend and play around with it and see what I can do.
It is interesting! I can’t back it up with science nor do I care too much about the rolling shutter because in normal 4k it’s not too bad!
So PDAF still not work in 422:10bit Mov FHD60p right?
Honestly, not sure! Haven’t tested it
@@AnthonyRodriguezz I would really appreciate it if you could test it! ❤ I'm still considering whether to wait for S1H2 or buy S5M2.. I need 60P and PDAF..
no one mentioned that you need to use fast shutter speeds, otherwise there will be artifacts .So 1/100 or 1/200 would be better result when using 1/50 . Just tested it out and this effect appears with 40+mm lens
Not sure why you’d need to use high shutter speeds… I see no artifacts that you’re talking about
@@AnthonyRodriguezz test more and u will see , just after a first few test using this new software and High settings I realized that .
S1H 후속이나 좀 내놨으면
Same…
Why does it have to be better than? Why not different than and good enough?
Just a title, but yes… Sonys AF is still better, not just different
even with prev. firmware Lumis is better than Sony , and its not about AF
I agree but regarding AF, that’s not the case
Still DFD in 1080 50-60....😢
I can’t confirm this as I never really shoot in 1080... sorry! 😞
"I can't have my cameras messing up when a client is paying me" - that is called manual focus. I know I know AF is fancy and why don't you use AF if it is there... call me a boomer but IMHO anybody wants to work with video as a professional, the bare minimum is to learn to focus manually. Anything can happen on set when AF won't be reliable or won't work at all, then what? Panicking?
Don't take it offensive or personally, but I think it is a wrong approach to rely only to the tech and always immediately replace the tool with and an other which is barely better. Nowadays with a little care most of the cameras are perfectly good enough for professional work
No offense taken!
I can focus manually. I’ve already responded to this same perspective a couple of times but, having reliable AF allows me to take on certain low budget jobs and not need a 1st AC as well as get certain shots that I otherwise would not be able to get whatsoever with pulling focus manually and having no crew.
It makes my life easier on set as well as opens up the possibilities for different shots that would not be possible otherwise. I don’t use it for everything but having reliable AF is ALWAYS a plus
@@AnthonyRodriguezz of course its a huge plus. And I agree with you I also use AF a lot. I just wanted to point out that AF shouldn't be a dealbreaker. I used cameras for years these edge cases you mentioned with contrast based AF and served well. Not ideal of course but never wanted to replace an entire system just because of AF. Wrong color science is an other story. Khm... Sony... 😀
@broaf ooooo I don’t know if I can get behind that actually.
Color science is something I think is a little silly for the most part as any 10bit image can be graded to look like another. Having a good SOOC is nice but AF I’d much more valuable imo.
Different strokes though!
@@AnthonyRodriguezz agreed. With 10bit you can have precise control over the image. I myself still prefer the color as I dont need to work a lot on creative grading for most of my works and appreciate if I can get good colors faster. But yeah everything depends on type and situations. Luckily for me the Lumix has now great colors and af (both much improved from past models)
The Sony zve1 autofocus is basic
😂
I hate that i trust Sony more. Im one of those who uses Sony for paid shoots because of the reliability. For personal use its Panasonic and Fuji. I like Panny and Fuji colors way more than Sony.
Lumix, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE GIVE US TOUCH TRACKING!!!
AND WHERES THE. S1HII???
Touch tracking!!!
Demasiado pedante deje de verlo los dos minutos por que supe que no iba a hablar de algo que me fuera de ayuda… latinos 😂
Until their autofocus is up
To par with canon and Sony then it’s a nonstarter.
The autofocus is actually pretty up to par now!
The only thing missing is the touch tracking
That statement doesn't even make sense.
@@nigerian-nightmare imagine?
So you gonna buy a Sony now?
You freaking troll 😂❤️
You know I have one already 😏
@@AnthonyRodriguezz hahah😂
4:13 say what now ? Are they nuts ? This trashy touch tracking autofocus is the main raison my Lumix camera has been collecting dust while I still use my A7SIII. I was really hoping this firmware update will fix this. Wake up Panasonic !
I hope they do as well!
Please don't say filmmakers want 8k because they don't. The most used cinema camera buy arri is 6k below
Never said that 👍🏼
Anyone else's s5ii card door feel flimsy and creaky?
Dang… mines not.
Contact lumix about that!
As a pro I can tell you we don't care about "Auto Focus" in any camera, only "TH-camrs" and Vlogers complain about it.
😂 nice profile picture. It’s fitting
Wrong. As a pro I can tell you that Auto Focus is a tool that gets increasingly popular among high-end commercial work (I’m talking about Sony, and 3rd party Lidar focus sensors)
@AndreiLucaa relying on auto focus for an entire film shoot.... ?!?No thank you. Perhaps reality TV or news/ sports gathering. Which film DP uses continuous auto focus for episodic TV or feature films, the whole way through? Non gimbal or drone shots. Best to have a focus puller when possible. Am I wrong... no.
@@derryk1 you are not wrong, but I never said “entire film shoot” - ofc it’s situational/contextual but regardless it’s a nice tool to have especially when you are working with lower budgets.
it's a Chinese copy of the stolen Japanese tech By the way Is it cold in your location. The silly hat!
Don’t understand the Chinese comment but yes, it was cold so I wore my silly hat 👍🏼
LUMIX s2 has same AF as Sony . Sony is highly overrated. If you want the best AF get Canon R5 mate
Fake news
Unfortunately… this is not true 😞
@@AnthonyRodriguezz That’s the truth mate , Sony is most overrated and overhyped. Canon is king 🤴 with speed and accuracy
Amatuers use AF.
HA! 🤣
succumbed to clickbait and regretted it in the first minute
Sorry bud ✌🏼
Hobbyist shooting wildlife 😮😅😅😅
I did say unless it’s for money ;)
@@AnthonyRodriguezz you know it's out job as viewers to mess with you like that right😁 👍🏽
Still not 4k 120fps👎👎
Not a deal breaker for me and that’s definitely not something I’m expecting to be added via a firmware 😏
So you mean to tell me that you still rely on auto focus doing client paid/pro jobs? What an absurdity!
Not entirely but when I have jobs where I’m mostly on a gimbal and want to stay nimble. Absolutely.
Why would I make my life more difficult for no reason
this video gave me stage 4 cringe
Interesting, not sure why
@@AnthonyRodriguezz 100% youtuber stereotype cringe . you tick all the boxes, you have all the cringe, congrats
@jimgiraffe5253 😂 what a lame comment with no context.
@@AnthonyRodriguezz keep chasing that youtube dream bro, you should really try and be more cringey, youtube algorithym loves cringe ..kek
TLDR No.
👌🏼
I have the S5II and S5IIX AND an S1H. I own a Sony A7IV SOLELY for the touch tracking on gimbal work. @Lumix - Anthony is right we do want and need this to function properly in the real world. You are losing $$$ because of it.
Let em know!
Because of these people praising Panasonic S5 MII I bought one , didn't like it and sent it back.
My Android phone Poco F3's stabilisation is 10 times better than S5 II's .Its menu is not use friendly.Autofocus is confusing ,and sh*t. The Camera's OS slow and sluggish.Your Android OS is 10 times better than S5II It's very heavy camera as well.
These people do promotional videos for cameras companies to fool people to buy sh*t cameras
Did you comment on one of my other videos comparing the S5ii to a phone…?
If so, I’ll say it again, they are completely different tools and honestly shouldn’t be compared at all.
Hollywood uses cameras that have no ibis and the menus are worse.
A phone is a phone
Really?😂 use poco then xd
