Sorry she didn’t want her husband dedicating his time and energy and sex into multiple other people after he married her in a monogamous marriage. She had no obligation to stay with him after he expressed that and they can die mad about it
True but she is allowed to get upset about sharing him when she thought they weren't like that. She might have needed time to understand and come to terms with it. It would be interesting to know what happened next with them. While the Wife couldn't share herself with others, she could see them as friends in time.

@@EnitVal no that was the implication. Nothing at all was said about him being bisexual; she never said anything and they never said that was the issue that split them up. She explicitly says she doesn’t understand polyamory but says nothing about bisexuality. Basically she broke up with him bc she didn’t want him to see other people at the same time as her which is 100% rational

That's a hard "NO" from me. My husband and i have been together 18 years, married 16, and there is no way on earth. Im not judging. We have a family friend that's in a poly relationship. She is a lovely person, and her first partner is fabulous. Dont know her other partner. Watching her and her partner, its a difficult relationship, and particularly difficult at times.
It just ends up throwing more wrenches into the works. I know a girl I went to high school with who’s in a polyamorous relationship with a married couple… it’s pretty obvious that she’s just the third wheel they like to have fun with. If that works for her, good, but I’m sure she wants more than that and is in denial.
That is one weird relationship I would ever see in a hospital. But I wouldn’t like sharing my special someone

Call me old-school, but IMO romantic relationships are reserved for two people _only._ I could never be in an open relationship because that would be cheating. To me, that’s not valid. This just seems off.

Feel how you want to feel but just like you can make that choice for yourself they can make a different choice for theirselves and *surprise* it doesn’t affect your life at all! As long as everybody is a consenting adult it is nobody else’s concern 🥴

My opinion is that it bothers me when entitled people think that their way of thinking, no matter how dated it is, is the only way of thinking and that everybody should be held to their standards and I’ll never understand that. I am pro choice, not because I would ever have an abortion but because I don’t impose my beliefs on others! People can make their own choices and I don’t have to agree but I MIND MY BUSINESS! I am a very open-minded person and wholly believe in letting people be who they are without judgment but in a case like this the fact is this man is a "greedy bastard" as he said. He wants what he wants without really considering how his desires may be painful or hurtful to the ones he claims to love.
He made a commitment to his wife essentially under false pretenses and then changed the rules on her. She made her feelings known and instead of doing the decent thing and letting her go to try and find love again he kept her on the hook so she could never really move on. In my mind, that's just cruel.
They shouldn't treat the ex like that. That's incredibly unfair. They are being cruel and shouldn't be like that, she cares and acts far more fairly to them when she could have had every one of them kicked out but let them in on it all.

There's a lot to be said for each side of the debate. But having been in a tri, I gotta say it's complicated enough with just a duet. Adding more people to the dynamic doesn't make it easier or better.

If anyone is reading this in 2030, I think polyamory is just beautiful and there's nothing wrong with it at all.
I have a couple of friends in polycules, and this patient's partners act more like they're in a cult than a relationship... It's kind of creepy.
Like, don't get me wrong, mine and my partner's love language is touch too, and I'd really struggle without him. But the way they cling to each other in every scene, stand as one, move as one... It's a little unnatural. Not to mention the way they treat his "ex"....
Maybe I’m wrong but I think very few people have the emotional intelligence and capacity to be successful in a relationship with one person let alone 3 🤷🏽♀️
Im poly and i kind of understand what they were trying to show. But this isnt what its like. If your in a poly like this, you need to have a serious talk together. The way they treat the ex is just wrong and close minded. If your in a true poly, you need to be understanding and open or else the whole thing falls apart.

It sounds good in theory but no lol to much going on for me. Plus I see many of these couples end up having favorites. Sister wives for example 😂😂

@@theresemartin7930 Baloney. You have no right to pass judgement on someone just because they choose to live a different lifestyle and make different choices than you. Many cultures throughout history have practiced polyamory-some still do, and they do just fine. Just because your culture is brought up to believe one way, doesn't make it the ONLY true way. What matters is someone lives the life that makes them the best person they can be, the most caring and compassionate, the most willing to learn, grow and teach others to help them grow, and to connect in a positive way with others. And being sanctimonious is NOT a positive way. We're all different people, each with a different path. So while it may not work for you, it doesn't mean it doesn't work.
I do have the right because God gave it to me. Part of my Catholic duty is to bring more sheep back to the Lord's flock. In order yo do that, I need to point out sinful ways. It's called righteous judgement. How can a person realize what they're doing is wrong if no one speaks up and lets them know? I'd be sinning if I let others sin.

I am in a multi dynamic relationship with a husband, who is monogamous to me, and a current boyfriend who is also; I previously had a partner that was polyamorous and had two other girlfriends. From personal experience I can say that so much of what they portrayed here is unhealthy; all parties in the dynamic need to be consenting, honest and respectful of each other's needs and the needs of the other partners, or it just doesn't work for anyone. 😅❤++
It always ends up being a political game in the end. Everyone competing with each other. I don’t care how open and consenting y’all are with each other, you all have your own selfish motives at heart. We all do, it’s human.

@@Sniperboy5551I'm in a polyamorous relationship. I am the hinge of a V. My partners are best friends and love each other and they love me. It's not a competition. We've been together for 13 years and 8 years. I love them both deeply. It's no more selfish than any other relationship.

Monogamy is all drama with cheating and betraying but at least in Polyamory, there is no cheating. And so long as they are all consenting adults I see nothing wrong with it.
The Ottoman Empire allowed the Sultan to have multiple women who gave him many sons. The infighting between brothers got so bad that they had to initiate a law. Literally saying the new Sultan, upon his ascension to the throne, had to kill all his brothers and their sons (even infants). All to prevent any and all attempts to take the throne through force of arms. If the Sultan had only taken one wife and only had children by her, then a lot of issues can be avoided. Same thing happened to all royalties that didn't practice monogamy.
Monogamy is necessary for handling things like inheritance rights. Because some people, mostly men, want to make sure the children are in fact theirs. So that the property and inheritance remains in the family through a blood child. Not a lot of men are willing to give their property and inheritance to a child they know or suspected was fathered by someone else. For women, regardless of who fathers her children they will always get an inheritance from her but men are more picky. That said, there are cases of women who will deny their stepchildren inheritance because their husband had the child with another woman in an affair.
Don't get me wrong I'm not dissing polyamory; I guess it's up to personal preference. I'm just saying it can cause it's own set of issues.
You know when you start getting into issues like this counseling is helpful.

@@meggrotte4760 You are most likely referring to the fact that in some societies there are polyamorous relationships where 1 man has many wives and none of them actually share themselves except the husband. That is only one distinct type of poly relationship of many. Just because you see one example and it makes you uncomfortable doesn't mean all examples of it are morally corrupt. Don't generalize people like that, that's not right.

Not really. Even though it's technically illegal, people engage in polyamory all the time. As long as all parties involved are over 18 and are consenting, then it's not really cheating.
