Honestly it is an impossible choice to make. Being forced to choose between your wife and your baby is something I don't wish to anyone. Because it doesn't matter who you choose, you'll regret for the rest of your life not saving the other blaming yourself for doing it
Logically but coldly it would be best to save the wife. She can have another child, I know that may sound cold but another child can be made but another mother cannot be made. Would you rather have the knowledge that you have traded one child for another or force the child to live their life without a mother?

I cannot imagine how difficult any decision of this magnitude would be, nor can I pass judgement because I have never been through it.

This is what's bugging me most about the comments on the video - the choice had already been made. She had directly asked that, should it come down to it, Max should save the baby. Regardless of whether or not more children could be had, the only ethical choice from that moment onwards was to save the child.

The druggie and one of the paramedics were killed in the crash. The doctor that delivered the baby was flung from the ambulance (she was talking to the paramedics between their seats at the time of the collision) and suffered severe damage to her leg. She recovered, but the constant extreme pain from that was only compounded by the fact that she was an opioid addict and thus she couldn't take the good stuff. She had LITERALLY just gotten out of rehab when all of this happened. At first the wife appeared to have survived too, appearing in the second season premiere. However, it was revealed that the guy was hallucinating her which he did for awhile: she survived the initial crash, but she later developed a brain hemorrhage or something like that from it and she died on the operating table.
Georgia (pregnant woman) survived the labor, however after they were heading to the hospital the suffered a car accident , in the end Georgia died on the operation table of that hospital
