I think killer moth could be a great villain like what they showed in the character bio from arkham asylum, but no one has made him as cool than he could be.
Project-awesome customs thank you. I've always thought this. Him being anti Batman by helping the criminals could be one hell of a story. He also found out that Batman was Bruce Wayne. The material is already there they just need someone to run with it.
I think it could work if he was given the Deadpool treatment. The character is essentially a parody of all masked villains. I think it would be great to have an episode in a batman show where Batman is about to takedown Killer Moth and then in comedic fashion he jumps out a 2 story building and breaks his bones all so he doesn't have to deal with batman, and as he's being put in the ambulance, he saves face by shouting "You haven't seen the last of Killer Moth Batman!" lol
I find it unbelievable that we live in a world where Polka Dot Man is going to appear in a live-action movie before Clayface, Solomon Grundy, The Ventriloquist, Lady Shiva, Hush, Prometheus, Mad Hatter, Hugo Strange and Man-Bat!!!
I guess Polka-Dot Man's off the list nowadays. James Gunn reinvented him as one of Batman's very best villains, without even indicating if he even met Batman...
He killed his mom because she would experiment on him and his siblings they should expand on that like his main thing is that he kills people that experiment on people and after meeting Rat Catcher 2 he decides to go after people that experiment on animals too
It's interesting to see how these villains have been utilized in the years since this video. - Killer Moth and Crazy Quilt are still much beloved "Loser Villains" alongside others like Condiment King. - Polka-Dot Man got a chance to shine in the Suicide Squad as a legitimately powerful metahuman with his own backstory of his insane mad scientist mother. - Kite Man got a fair amount of focus in the "War of Jokes and Riddles" storyline in the comics, getting a tragic backstory involving his son's death, and got to play a supporting role in the Harley Quinn TV series. - And Captain Stingaree... nah, Captain Stingaree still sucks.
I'm not satisfied with this list either. I will most likely redo it in the future. Killer Moth, as goofy as he is, doesnt belong here. Ten Eyed Man really needs to be on it too.
Zebra Man, or a version of his, joined Kobra's super-villain team and fought against The Outsiders. Again, if they fleshed out his personality and villain, rather than focus on the zebra-theme, he could be dangerous.
You have to be kidding me.. Condiment King was intentionally created to be a Lame Super Villain so he isn't qualified at all because this list is super villains that were intuitionally created to be serious legit threats and aren't, instead they are hapless laughable candyass jabrinis.
I think that Killer Moth could be a great villain. He's an 'Anti-Batman' that's a lot more unique. Heck, I admit it, he's honestly my FAVORITE Batman villain. I threw together my own idea on how to make Killer Moth a cool character--while still being a joke villain. Perhaps in a certain story similar to the Batman & Harley Quinn film, Firefly has escaped Arkham and is now more dangerous than ever and is on the verge of destroying Gotham City. Batman, while being the world's greatest detective, has no leads on where Firefly is and what he's going to use to destroy Gotham. In order to track down Firefly and stop him, Batman needs to find the man who knows what makes Firefly tick. That person is none other than Drury Walker otherwise known as Killer Moth, as he and Firefly worked together in Batgirl: Year One. At first, Batman is disbelieving that a loser like Killer Moth could help him with tracking down Firefly, but he has no choice. He even gives Killer Moth some credit, stating that he has good ideas, but doesn't execute upon them well. He tracks down Killer Moth, and interrogates him on what he knows about Firefly. Then, Batman and Killer Moth team up to track down Firefly and stop him from potentially setting Gotham ablaze. As Killer Moth's life as a loser villain begins to reveal itself to the audience, you start to sympathize with Killer Moth as nobody takes him seriously--perhaps even relating to him. As they track down Firefly, he's residing in a hijacked GCPD blimp that has a giant bomb with the power to destroy Gotham in a literal blaze of glory. Batman begins to fight Firefly as the blimp is catching on fire because of Firefly's flamethrower occasionally missing Batman. Whilst this is going on, Killer Moth is trying to defuse the bomb, rambling to himself a bit before Batman defeats Firefly without realizing the real fight was about to begin. As Batman ties up Firefly and the blazing blimp is about to sink into the ocean, as Killer Moth betrays Batman by stabbing a syringe into his neck that causes him to have blurry vision and become dizzier--overall being weaker. Killer Moth begins a monologue about how he predicted that Batman wouldn't expect Killer Moth to betray him, because who in Gotham takes Killer Moth seriously? He's not a threat, right? It turns out that Killer Moth had bought a drug that makes everything trip out for someone. As Killer Moth continues his monologue, he shouts that maybe if he finally kills the person he was trying to copy, maybe, just maybe Gotham will finally take him seriously. Batman comments on how he sounds like a child, and that's when Killer Moth begins the fight. The fight begins, and Killer Moth seems to be winning. However, while Killer Moth's drug was powerful, Batman begins to recognize a pattern in this drug and Killer Moth's movements. After taking down Killer Moth, his mind clears up and he grabs Firefly and Killer Moth and flees the sinking blimp in the Batwing. It ends with Killer Moth and Firefly back in Arkham, and Killer Moth has been drawing a bunch of bats and moths on the walls. On the floor however, he had been connecting the dots in Batman's identity, and like in the Golden Age, Drury deduces that Batman is Bruce Wayne as the story ends. That's at least how I'd picture someone making Killer Moth both a joke villain and a great villain. I really do believe Killer Moth has tons of potential, and I tried to show that potential in this little idea.
Kinda sounds like clue master's motive in Batman Eternal (who would suspect a D list villain like me to take down Batman), that being my favorite Batman story of all time, I'm totally here for it
I always thought Killer Moth had untapped potential. After all, he was the ORIGINAL anti-Batman and they really could've done something with that. They also could've revamped him to be somewhat like his Teen Titans incarnation where he's some insane mad scientist who was obsessed with moths and tried to take over Gotham with giant mutant moths. He's my favorite shitty villain but it kinda hurts calling him shitty considering the potential he had.
I like Killer Moth, probably because when I was a kid, Killer Moth was in Lego Batman, but he also had a special charm to me, Something different that makes him stand out from the rest of the B-List villain's, I think it's because his character was indeed a parody that was taken down by a girl. So that gave him some more history than most, plus a Killer Moth actually kind of sounds cool, like b movie cool. Either way I think Killer Moth should be more of a example of how villains with weird gimmicks can be taken seriously, maybe an honourable mention Rather than have him in the top 5 worst list.
Killer Moth is definately more special than these other guys, he's the only one who has a bit of a following and actually serves a purpose in the Batman universe. I may call these the 5 worst, but it doesn't mean I think they're garbage, like I say in the video they have a certain charm. Well except for Stingaree and Kite-Man.. Speaking of B movies, did you know that Moth was turned into an actual moth-monster in the 90s? They wanted to make him more edgy or something.. But that's an awesome B horror movie right there ;)
I didn't know about Killer Moth being a "Batman for criminals" -- Thanks for that! -- But, as Court of Owls explains, the natural enemy of bats should be owls! Hence the Court of Owls.... Maybe Drury Walker should try to re-invent himself as an "Owlman"... Of course, it has been done, and he could get into trouble with at least two existing versions of Owlman.
A villain with a weird gimmick to be taken seriously belongs to either Hatter or Calendar man. Ever since he's been redone, Calendar man has become legitimately creepy. A serial killer that strikes on holidays. Days of rest. You know when he'll strike, you just don't know where. Suddenly a day of rest becomes a day of anxiety.
There's something really hilarious about you being so glib and sarcastic as you tear apart these horrible villains (except for Moth) in that deadpan tone of yours. I wish you did more videos like this, hahaha.
4:08 "In this comic he's actually called Mr. Polka-Dot..." Am I the only one who heard this as "...He's sexually called Mr. Polka-Dot..." It really doesn't help that Mr. Rogues perpertually sounds like he's trying to seduce me.
I like the concept of Captain Stingaree, but I feel as if he deserves a Major reimagining. I could see him as a swashbuckling Pirate themed Thief. You could keep the pirate theme but give him modern tech like a machine gun or an armed boat, and give him a tough grizzly modern pirate crew. Imagine him swinging into battle on ship rope blasting away on machine gun. I feel he has potential, but it sounds like they did nothing interesting with the pirate concept.
I think what would make him interesting is he and his brothers were ALL captain stingaree through some shared psychosis, and each brother would have a slight variation on the costume/a different wepaon to identify between them.
He is a lameass candyass jabroni that shouldn't be used. Man how damn uncreative, lame, and unimaginative he uses that lame name instead of creating a Super Villain name.
He reappeared in one of the issues contained in Batman Vol. 1: I am Gotham, he thinks his brothers are really Batman. A number of forgotten or at best D-list villains appeared in Vol. 1 and Vol. 2: I am Suicide
I think Polka-Dot Man could be a legit threat since his gimmick sounds similar to a Lantern's powers. Make him a scientist trying to replicate their powers. I say the worst Bat-villain is the Penny Plunderer, a gangster obsessed with pennies. How sad that his biggest accomplishment, giving Batman the giant penny, was later attributed to Two-Face? Very sad.
Well yeah, but he was originally created in Batman: TAS as an intentionally ridiculous criminal. I think this list was reserved for terrible Bat rogues that were meant to be serious threats, before being reduced to pathetic comic relief.
Leading Faction I'm pretty sure a few of these guys *cough crazy quilt cough* weren't meant to be taken seriously(he got beat by a group of kids in his first appearance)
The Polka-Dot man looks like some villain guy that Megaman has to beat up first and steal his power in order to go to the next level and take out Striped Pijama Man, & Velvet Loafer Man afterwards.
In the DC Rebirth reboot, Karl is played as somewhat of a joke villain. He is portrayed as a man who assumes the identity of Stingaree when not under the influence of his medication. He attempts to murder several people who clearly know him and are dressed as the Batman. They plead with him to go back on his medication, but he says that they will not "deceive him again." He is stopped by the real Batman and "Gotham Girl" before anyone is seriously injured.
Personally I would of made this a Top 10, as the sheer amount of ludicrous Batman Rogues is rather astounding. As for rogues I would put in, there's Eraser, Condiment King, and Ten-Eyed Man.
Condiment king is an intentionally ridiculous villain. The closest he ever came to being a legitimate threat was when he accidentally gave a member of the bat family an allergic reaction.
He's a intentional Anti Batman meaning he isn't a Competent threat inspiring ridicule,, mockery, laughter and pity.. A great Anti Batman that are serious threats OwlMan, Prometheus, and some other character I can't recall that had his Parents that were Criminals killed by Cops. Meant to be the opposite of Bruce Wayne for origin.
What would make crazy quilt more threatening is allowing him to see into a more wider length of light wave lengths. Infrared, gamma rays, ultra violet, and etc. Do you have any idea and useful it is too have those abilities? You can still see in the night and you can recognize stuff a lot better than the human eye because of the scientific quirks there are in seeing that certain crap.
So Kite-Man's real name is Charlie Brown? Great, now I expect him to meet a grisly fate with a carnivorous tree. Cultivated by Poison Ivy of all people.
@WhoDarestheMAN gamer He's no stranger in DC projects... The Dark Knight, that poor schizophrenic goon Harvey Dent almost kills. Gotham; an ex-scientist of Hugo Strange that revives Jerome (the first Joker). Flash; the villain Abra Kadabra.
In all the time that has passed since this video was made, I'm surprised that a part 2 was never made. Dr. X (and Double X), Tweedledee and Tweedledum, the Crime Doctor, the Puzzler, the original Clayface (Basil Karlo), the King of the Cats, just to name is few.
Killer Moth is a good boy. ;( Joking aside, I've seen decent story takes on Kite Man, Killer Moth, and even Crazy Quilt. Mr. Polka-Dot is also going to appear in the James Gunn Suicide Squad, which will be interesting. These villains all have something people can work with, and are kind of memorable with how corny they are. Actual bad villains… are so plain and one-off that you don't remember who they are or can't find information on them, like the Penny Plunderer or Witch.
Yes he really is lame, and the fact he had to Make a Deal with Neron a Devil to become a legit threat speaks volumes how desperate that candyass jabroni is. He is intentionally created to be lame the exact opposite of Batman because he inspires laughter and pity not dread, fear and terror.
There was the Condiment King from an episode of Batman: TAS who uses hot sauce, ketchup, and mustard to attack people but he was really a comedian brainwashed by The Joker as a revenge scheme to reclaim a trophy that he didn't get a long time ago!
If they ever make another Batman: Arkham game, I'd love to see Killer Moth there but as an actually good villain in his fighting style, his boss fight, his side quest... Have everything be good except for his motivation for the crime which is hilariously bad to the point where when Batman finds out what it is he acts legitimately surprised
the worst thing about kitte man is his early appearances portrayed him as such a powerful, CUNNING foe, with batman unable to figure out how he could POSSIBLY defeat man flyign around on a kite, who managed to deck batman right in the face while gliding aroudn! How could batman beat this powerful cirminal mastermind. HOW INDEED!?
Polka dot man or Crazy Quilt would be terrifying villains if they had all the different lantern rings; but then they would be more Justice League villains than Batman villains.
I love kiteman, he didn’t become kiteman because he had to settle for it, it’s because riddler killed kiteman’s son by poisoning the tip of his kite so when he got revenge he built a kiteman suit
Moth and catman and calender man sort of went through a reboot in the 90's in the new Bat title(names on tip of my tongue) titled The Misfits. Was pretty damn good.
I still can't belive kite man realy went from being the bigest joke vilan of all time to a fan favorit who was the best written character of the war of jokes and ridles that now dates poinson ivy on the harley quinn show
On the real, with the exception of the pirate guy, the other four could be easily imagined into some legit threats and have compelling stories. For example I have seen what Polka Dot man can do. That guy is OP as hell.
I think that for a while Killer Moth was the prime example of a shitty Batman villain. But now I believe that's actually dropped with the realisation that, despite his ridiculous design and sheer incompetence, Killer Moth is far from the level of villains like Kite-Man and the Ten-Eyed Man and honestly has some legitimately cool aspects about him. The main examples are him being the first boss of the universally acclaimed Batman NES game, his appearances in the original Teen Titans series that actually gives some dept into him being a father, and even his inclusion in 'My Own Worst Enemy' where they actually made him look pretty awesome.
He is intuitionally created to be a laughable joke which makes him a great character. He doesn't get discouraged and finds spectacular ways to fail and not be taken seriously. He is a Charlie Brown Super Villain
I'm kind of sad that Killer Moth became so much of a loser villain since he has a lot of potential. I mean, he's got an entire arsenal of moth themed gadgets and is the original anti-batman!
5.not really one I'd put on this list since his plans were more menacing than any of other guys on this list, threatening to destroy Gotham City if Robin didn't take his daughter, Kitten to prom 4.that's one power you'd wanna avoid if you don't wanna feel nauseous 3.what a lame-o 2.I'd like to see him hang 1.a paragliding supervillain, not really impressive and how can he possibly be named Charlie Brown? I'm sure Charles Schultz wouldn't approve of this
I think killer moth could be a great villain like what they showed in the character bio from arkham asylum, but no one has made him as cool than he could be.

Kiteman... His costume actually looks quite cool in some of those panels, then you remember he's Kiteman...
so no condiment king
I think it's comics only.
I think he made a brief appearance in brave and the bold.
Leading Faction he's been in comics multiple times
Wow, some how Kite Man moved up in the world. I mean he's now dating Poison Ivy in the Harley Quinn cartoon
He’ll get cucked by Harley.
And Polka Dot Man is in Suicide Squad
Update: WHO CALLED IT!! I DID, BABY!!!! WHOO!!!!
@@JayKayEllEmm yeah I knew that would eventually happen to the pathetic loser
Well world's most notorious villain was a painter
I kinda like the idea of Moth though. An anti batman sounds like a fun idea.
Strike The Spike hush is a pretty good anti Batman
He's a intentional Anti Batman meaning he isn't a Competent threat inspiring ridicule,, mockery, laughter and pity..
A great Anti Batman that are serious threats OwlMan, Prometheus, and some other character I can't recall that had his Parents that were Criminals killed by Cops.
Meant to be the opposite of Bruce Wayne for origin.
The Wrath!
Any thoughts on Tom King's version of Kite Man?
Same thought
What would make crazy quilt more threatening is allowing him to see into a more wider length of light wave lengths. Infrared, gamma rays, ultra violet, and etc. Do you have any idea and useful it is too have those abilities? You can still see in the night and you can recognize stuff a lot better than the human eye because of the scientific quirks there are in seeing that certain crap.
Someone out there determined to turn these into beloved characters
Nah, Polka Dot Man is legendary.
Polka Dot man was awesome in the James Gunn Suicide Squad movie.
His vast knowledge of colors ^^
There is a hero whoes power is changing the colors of things.
Cracks me up every time
So Kite-Man's real name is Charlie Brown? Great, now I expect him to meet a grisly fate with a carnivorous tree. Cultivated by Poison Ivy of all people.
LITERALLY ALL OF THESE are in "Batman: The Brave and the Bold"!
Tom King: Im about to ruin whole list of this man!
He didn’t tho. Kite man was still really lame. Especially that hell yeah bs
what song is that playing in the background
Dude! Your sarcasm is hilarious! Lol great vid!
I read a story about Crazy Quilt back around 1980ish and even as a child I was like "are they serious?"
I Honestly think that Killer Moth is a Cool Idea for a Villian, just needs a Reboot
Polka dot man now is in suicide squad!
I love killer moth
In my book the Worst Batman villain of all time is....... THE CONDIMENT KING the guy's theme is SO Lame
Killer Moth is a good boy. ;(
Joking aside, I've seen decent story takes on Kite Man, Killer Moth, and even Crazy Quilt.
What's the song playing in the background??
Killer Moth isn't completely lame. With a whole lot of redesigning he could be pretty awesome.
Yeah, just look at him on Teen Titans
Killer Moth was pretty good in Teen Titans animated series
funny thing is that kite man is actually a popular character now, hell yea!!
Have everything be good except for his motivation for the crime which is hilariously bad to the point where when Batman finds out what it is he acts legitimately surprised
epiccarrot88 red hood killed him in between knight and the red hood dlc (some goons talk about it)
@@jordanhorne1173 Yeah, leaving his daughter to continue her father's work
Damian Prock that could work but more than likely the next game will be a prequel so my boy drury's back in the running
Kite Man.
Hell yeah.
The fact that Adam West fought none these guys is a true shame.
So what's your opinion of Tom King run of BATMAN? I personally think that Tynion's Detective run is better.
Polka-Dot Man is gonna be a main character in the Suicide Squad sequel
I can't wait! I hope his suit works...
Whos here after watching suicide squad 2
I liked that idea of Captain Stingaree though. That's a good motivation that he believes there are multiple batman and they are his brothers
the worst thing about kitte man is his early appearances portrayed him as such a powerful, CUNNING foe, with batman unable to figure out how he could POSSIBLY defeat man flyign around on a kite, who managed to deck batman right in the face while gliding aroudn! How could batman beat this powerful cirminal mastermind. HOW INDEED!?
3:02 in the brave and the bold cartoon they made its Robin that accidentally blinds him .
The sarcastic commentary makes this video insanly funny
Moth and catman and calender man sort of went through a reboot in the 90's in the new Bat title(names on tip of my tongue) titled The Misfits. Was pretty damn good.
Mr rogues u think pokadot man will be good in suicide squad 2?
I still can't belive kite man realy went from being the bigest joke vilan of all time to a fan favorit who was the best written character of the war of jokes and ridles that now dates poinson ivy on the harley quinn show
The penny plunderer
Killer Moth had and still has potential. I love the loser version but a serious version would be strange but cool to see.
How dare you insult the best character of all time (killer moth)
I’m glad they remade calendar man now he’s a legitimate serial killer and villain for the dark knight to face. Thanks long Halloween
I disagree with your last statement, kite-man is great.
Kite-man... Hell Yeah.
I'm kind of sad that Killer Moth became so much of a loser villain since he has a lot of potential. I mean, he's got an entire arsenal of moth themed gadgets and is the original anti-batman!
You must have misspelled 5 best Batman villians
5.not really one I'd put on this list since his plans were more menacing than any of other guys on this list, threatening to destroy Gotham City if Robin didn't take his daughter, Kitten to prom
4.that's one power you'd wanna avoid if you don't wanna feel nauseous
3.what a lame-o
2.I'd like to see him hang
1.a paragliding supervillain, not really impressive and how can he possibly be named Charlie Brown? I'm sure Charles Schultz wouldn't approve of this
I like
Killer Moth
Crazy Quilt
Calendar Man
Cluemaster
Magpie
I don't like
Polka-Dot Man
Kite Man
Ten-Eyed Man
Humpty Dumpty
