Its a shame that Grodd isn't on here, considering that, while his presence within the comic continuity has drastically diminished with time, the character himself is still an interesting, if ludicrous and strange, rogue of the Flash.
Thank you, and yes, that does indeed need to happen. I also wouldn't mind the return of some of the forgotten, one/two-shot concepts and rogues from the Silver-Age, such as Katmos or the Bird-People Grodd controlled during an issue, only updated to fit better with the established universe (Maybe the Bird-People could be a subspecies of Hawkman's race for example). I doubt that It'll ever happen, but still it's nice to think about it.
Considering the fact that the comics have elements from the show (whether we like it or not), I imagine someone will write a Grodd story that will make him as complex as his TV incarnation.
1. Captain Cold (when he had long sleeves, and "He Loves Only Cold" is my favorite Geoff Johns Flash issue) 2. Gorilla Grodd 3. Marzdan 4. Weather Wizard 5. Heat Wave
Personally, I always thought Abra Kadabra should’ve been from an alternative universe instead of the future because in my eyes the DC universe doesn’t have a definitive future. Also an interesting perspective on him is the reason that he doesn’t care about the people he kills is because in his time they’re all already dead, and they would’ve been killed anyway, so the way they die doesn’t matter. I think it’d be cool if he kills somebody and ends up being written out of existence because that seemingly random person was his ancestor
Dude, your voice is awesome! Your accent is soon cool and you give these videos such a cool sound! Video after video you never cease to amaze me when it comes to comic book knowledge! Keep up the great work! And happy new year! 2017
I would like to see a crossover of Flash Rogues in Gotham. Abra Kadabra would be a major challenge against Batman and Wayne technology. And I'd like to see a face-off between Captain Cold and Mr. Freeze, or Trickster versus Riddler, Joker, or Prankster. Which reminds me of how in the Flash TV show, they had both Earth-1 Tricksters (both the older and the younger) and Earth-2 Trickster, who was just a step closer to Joker, played by Mark Hamill!
Its highly interesting the reasons for your choice lf mirror master. As the video played i thought of him as one of my favs and for the same reason..that theres something fascinating about mirrors and reflections. Your list is similar to mine. I'd have Zoom in 1. Rest in no particular order Rainbow Raider, MM, maybe grodd and my personal fav The Shade.
It's occurred to me that Zoom was a stalker long before that was a thing, dating back to the mid- 70s with ties to the 1966 story, "One of Our Bridegrooms Is Missing."
I've NEVER heard of Abra Cadabra until now and now I feel like I've been missing out! He sounds like a really cool villain. The part about having technology so advance that it's like magic is really cool. He kinda reminds me of Mumbo from Teen Titans only much more powerful and psychotic!
I remember hearing about a Flash story where the Rogues take Reverse Flash's body and burn it because even though they're criminals Thawne's evil disgusted even them.
1) mirror master 2) captain boomarang 3) reverse flash 4) god speed 5)red death Much lile zoom or savitar, the red death is an evil speedster faster than Barry. The red death is actually bat man from another earth who took the speed from flash and went insane. Instead of having lighting, he has killer bats. The red death travels to other earths hoping to kill all speedsters, but many just the flash
Wich Captain Cold comics do you recomend? And do you know if there might be a compilation about him? I recently bought a Two-Face comic compilation wich starts from 1942 all the way to 2013, its called Batman: Arkham - Two-Face; and I was just wondering if you know anything like that about Captain Cold, Captain Boomerang or any other rogue? I really look up to your knowledge about comics, so who else better to ask this sort of thing!
The best Cold story is 'Absolute Zero' from Flash #182, your profile pic is from the cover :P I also really like the 'Wonderland' arc where he and Mirror Master work together with Flash. Just get the 'Flash by Geoff Johns' trades, those two stories are in em plus plenty of other cool Cold appearances. Johns' Cold is the best imo. Sorry but to my knowledge none of the Flash rogues have any 'best of' trades.. It's a shame really..
Ahhhh yes I know, unfortunately never had the opportunity to buy it :/ Yeah im gonna get Flash by Geoff Johns to do some reading! It really is a shame, Captain Cold and the rogues deserved a best of compilation...
Gotham Rogues they're actually going to be releasing a "Flash Rogues" series of trades in the same vein as the Arkham rogue trades. I seen the solicitation for it on Amazon for next year sometime. First one is a Captain Cold trade.
RoguesGallery96 what I gathered from Amazon is that the Captain Cold collection will be released on August 28th this year, and it'll feature issues Showcase #8, The Flash #28 #150 #182 #297 the flashpoint citizen cold story and New 52 Flash #6 and #17. I believe they'll be releasing collections for other rogues too!
My favorites (not really in order of how much I like them) 5. Weather Wizard 4. Captain Cold, and Heatwave 3. Mirror Master (Evan Mcculloch) 2. Captain Boomerang 1. Professor Zoom (Hunter Zoloman
Captain Cold and The Reverse Flash are definetly my fav Flash villains, Mirror Master, Captain Boomerang and Gorilla Grodd are in my list as well. What do you think about the Flash tv series as well the Captain Cold and Reverse Flash in the show?
I think it's okay, not as good as the comics but still pretty decent. Cold is pretty good on it, Reverse-Flash is very different, yet still stays true to the core of the character.
To me, Captain Cold is the best character in the show. Yeah they changed the Reverse Flash a bit, but I guess it was to make the show entertaining, wich definitely was!
Hey there, SpinySky! Fancy seeing you here! Nice list. No Heatwave? Kinda expected him to be on your list. And my main man Thinker has a spot on your list! He’s NEVER on anyone’s list! Huzzah! Which Mirror Master do you prefer? Sam or Evan? (Or are you most fond of that random weirdness Eva McCullock from the CW show?) And I imagine Bloodwork wouldn’t be far behind these ten? (Did he even exist when you wrote this comment?) But shame on you, SpinySky! You left the greatest Flash villain ever off of your list! That’s right you left off... (No, I’m not going to say Rainbow Raider or the Turtle. Be honest, you were expecting me to say at least Rainbow Raider.) No, the true greatest Flash villain of all time is... BUG-EYED BANDIT!!! (Plays dramatic music) Not even kidding about him being a Flash villain. In the current continuity, I don’t think he’s fought the Atom once, he’s mostly appeared in several issues of the Flash Why, I don’t know, since the Arrowverse version also fought the Atom, but then again I’ve seen more random placements for rogues, like making Replicant (Tony Gambi) a Sideways villain and then killing him off in the same issue (yeah, that happened).
@@legoarkhamiteproductions4869 wow I don't even remember making this comment, the list has probably change a lot. I prefer Evan McCulloch, but I am starting to lean towards Samuel, it may be because how I write him in my series which I really like. Updated list: 15- Turtle 14- Heatwave 13- Abra Kadabra 12- Trickster(Axel) 11- Captain Boomerang(Digger) 10- Thinker 9- Grodd 8- Weather Wizard 7- Pied Piper 6- Mirror Master(Evan) 5- Zoom 4- Trickster(James) 3- Godspeed 2- Captain Cold 1- Reverse Flash(Thawne)
I'm kinda bummed there was no love for Hunter Zolomon: great build up, unique motivation for a rogue that's terrifying in the way delusional serial killers are, really cool spin on super speed, as personal to Wally as Thawne is to Barry
Mirrors are scary to me. I refuse to look in one when I watch something scary...Idk something strange about them. Also, if Mirror Master gets a cinematic debut, I hope he's made a horror villain
So are there any other rogues that are like the second mirror master being members of more then one heroes rogues gallery. I know mind masterr two has fought the Animal man.
Here's how I would do Sam Scudder's backstory. He's a brilliant, but mad, professor, who discovers how to control mirrors after using the wrong chemical for mirror cleaning and is dating a Scottish tech savvy woman named Eva McCulloch (Yes, Scudder is American) and they along with Eva's older brother, Evan, became villains. Scudder is the Mirror Master, Eva is Smoke, and Evan is the Mirror Man, and they fight the Flash
(Edit this was an old list and my opinion and my ranking has changed) 1. Reverse Flash (Honorable mentions) The Trickster 2. Gorilla Grodd 3. Captain Cold 4. Captain Boomerang 5. Dr. Alchemy
Agree with your list but would swap abra kadabra for zoom (hunter zolomon). I love the way he is portrayed in Blitz especially and the fact that he keeps getting lost in his past and his mistakes. And at the very end of the story it really makes you sympathise when you see him froze with a tear dripping down the side of his face.
Zoom is a great character, I just dont really like how similar he is to Eobard visually.. The costume he wore on the tv show was pretty cool, but of course he was written pretty poorly there.. Not at all as interesting as he is in the comics.
I mean if I was a resistance leader in a time of no free will or creativity and was put into the 21st century where all of my magic tricks are no longer repressed I’d be wacko too Is there a story where he is sent back in time and tries to stop whatever causes the tyranny of computers? Cuz I would love that
Honestly I’ve always viewed the flash and his villains as a great reminder of the sillier times of the comics, not that he can’t have dark stories I won’t lie.
Trickster is my favourite Flash rogue, so I hate how underused he is outside the comics. He was portrayed as a pathetic loser in Justice League Unlimited and they made him all dark and edgy in the CW. The only plus I can give to Jesse outside of the comics is that he is always portrayed by Mark Hamill
What kind of idiot overlord takes a resistance leader and sends them back in time to before you were in power, where they could literally alter your history so you never came to be?
Why is Kadabra a criminal? Never read much of his work... or.. any, really. Why is someone who fought for freedom to free the oppressed in his time just an asshole when sent back in time?
Axel Walker is my personal favorite Trickster. He just reminds me a lot of myself. Sure James is really likeable, but Walker is just really annoying and funny at the same time, like a bratty teenager. #OldBeatsNew
Its a shame that Grodd isn't on here, considering that, while his presence within the comic continuity has drastically diminished with time, the character himself is still an interesting, if ludicrous and strange, rogue of the Flash.
That could definately be an interesting story! We need more comics that actually explore him as a character and not just as a big threat.
I just hated how CW The Flash change Mirror Master.
I still haven't watched season 3..
Oh, if you watch it you'll see the difference on him.
Donte Morgan what's he like.
I hope the CW retcon Mirror master and Shade after crisis on infinite earths
I love it

Love the Flash Rogues. I like how most of them go the 'Crime Tailor' Paul Gambi.
He is a awesome character
I would love to see A DCAU,s The Flash tv show.
In 1995's Underworld Unleashed, Abra Kadabra got actual magical abilities from the demon Neron. He became insane and disfigured, however.
I preferred Abra Kadabra before he became disfigured.

They do crime as a job to make money
Thawne is pure evil he does it for pleasure
4:15 what comic is that?
Captain Cold in Injustice 2 is really Likeable and Snarky..but i really do like how in his Ending he and Flash become a New Hero Duo
The top (as in the spinning villain) is really underrated and I feel he should be on this list
You say the top is underatted u cant even find so much about him even in youtube content.
Looking forward to the list of Wonder Woman rogues. Maybe a top worst villains too. She has so many of those!
1) mirror master
2) captain boomarang

Sean Michaels we don’t know if he is faster then Barry tho.
My top 5 favorite flash villains 5 mirror master 4 weather wizard 3 heat wave 2 captain cold...1 reverse flash
Shame captain boomerang is not in the list. He is a very entertaining villain from the flashes rogues gallery.
Captain cold has to be one of my favorite flash villains since he isn’t exactly evil
Honer among thieves
But if someone kills your sister
You take them out as painfully and as slowly as possible
can you do more rogues, like for example "The Top" these videos are fun and educational!

In the Justice League episode, "Flash and Substance," it's clear that Mirror Master was the most evil of the Flash rogues.
Do a "underreted villan" from the trickster

My favorite flash villain is zoom
Axel Walker is my personal favorite Trickster. He just reminds me a lot of myself. Sure James is really likeable, but Walker is just really annoying and funny at the same time, like a bratty teenager. #OldBeatsNew
