@@georgecoconut8164 don't know about the comics, but in the tv series (not the teen titans go version) Deathstroke left a big impact on Dick Grayson to the point of hallucinating that he had a fight with him. Also "heroes gallery", that is an interesting term. Rarely do I find a villain facing different heroes having to adapt to their abilities, excluding those villains facing one or multiple groups/teams of heroes.
Deathstroke is to Batman what Taskmaster is to Spider-Man. Deathstroke & Taskmaster aren’t villains for Batman & Spider-Man but they both have a tendency of fighting them in comics, cartoons, and video games with surprising frequency.

(Ragdoll also made a cameo in another good episode, *"Rumor"* , but basically every Batman villain had a cameo in that one, so...)
Since robin/nightwing is part of the bat family you could say deathstroke is a batman villian by extension not to mention theirs no rule saying a villian can only be part of one heroes rouges gallery and especially not one saying their in the gallery of the first hero they meet since then venom is a deadpool villian.
Batman's rogues gallery is so great, Everyone wants to be a part of it. It's the downside of popularity. 5:10 KGBeast definitely deserves more love. He would make an excellent enemy for a more action-oriented Batman movie.
KGbeast has been getting way more action lately... ever since he took out Nightwing and got curbstomped by Batman he had gone AWOL but.... "recently", and I use the term broadly, he has made appearances against: =>Batgirl in 2020, henching for Dasha Berlova in Babs' solo title. After being humiliated by her, (which happened after he boasted about shooting Grayson), and losing his new badass golden arm, he then... got rekt by... =>Damian Wayne, in the pages of *Teen Titans* , when Damian went after him _also_ to avenge Dick... Knyazev survived, but became a laughing stock in Russian for getting almost killed twice by Bat-kids. He decided to finish the job with Dick Grayson to get his rep back, =>but got curbstomped again in the pages of *Nightwing* in 2021 by a back-in-business Dick. I'm sad that KGBeast didn't get to keep the "super elite" status that was awarded to him when DC went from New52 to Rebirth, in the pages of *"All-Star Batman"* . Anatoly was a straight-up badass in the Two-Face run "My Own Worst Enemy" , that Mr Rogues reviewed back in the days... he was easily Deathstroke-tier in that storyline, and they finally gave his some personality, and personal motivation. (I also liked how they started to call him "The Beast" instead of KGBeast, which is a tad outdated as a name) But afterward, he put on a good fight against Batman after turning Dick into Ric, and then it was back to being a jobber against Batgirl, Damian & Nightwing... That sucks, I guess I started to care a bit too much for Anatoli Knyazev, after his adaptation into the Arrowverse.
@@johnlawful2272 - That was the first time actually, in *"the 10 Nights of the Beast"* , when Anatoli looked like he came right out of _the Village People_ But it was rectonnd later, when Batman mentions that he later sent the coordinates of the sewer room to the cops. Same thing when Batman left him to die in the snow after breaking his neck in Tom King's run, when Anatoli is hired by Bane to kill Nightwing. We're first led to believe that he's breaking his code, then a few issues later we learn that Batman had spotted helicopters far away, and knew the Beast would be rescued. I guess the one tome we're sure Batman kills Anatoli is in *Batman vs Superman* , where we see him burn to death in front of us. Good times. He was a cool character in the Snyderverse, played by Bogdan Drazic an all ^^
Here are some honorable mentions: - Toyman (an enemy of Superman) - The Gentleman Ghost (an enemy of Hawkman) - Count Vertigo (an enemy of Green Arrow) - Klarion the Witch Boy (an enemy of Etrigan the Eternal Demon and maybe Dr. Fate) - Dr. Destiny (an enemy of the Justice League)
I’m pretty sure rag doll appeared in multiple episodes of that Batman series with speaking lines. I haven’t seen much of it but I know he’s in an episode with catwoman, and he’s a part of Penguin’s supervillains team with Killer Croc, firefly, and Killer Moth. Also the power level of a contortionist just doesn’t stack up against a man who can move faster than light. Granted he probably could have been transferred to Ollie’s gallery, but I suppose the bat gallery is so large at this point it must have its own gravitational pull
Ragdoll appeared in three episodes: "Ragdolls to Riches" (The only true Ragdoll centric episode, though it was split with Catwoman to a degree), "Team Penguin" (One of the series best imo), and a cameo in "Rumors" where he was one of the villains abducted by Rumor.
@John Cobblepot granted I don’t think the rogues should really be a problem for the flash either since if Flash just yanks their weapons out of their hands they then just become normal people who stand no chance against the Flash. However, at least the Rogues’ weapons give them special abilities that could at the least give them a chance against the Flash. Even Trickster has special abilities that could help him. Ragdoll is just a contortionist, he has nothing on the Flash, and that’s why I don’t think he makes a good Flash enemy.
@John Cobblepot oh certainly he shouldn’t be a Batman villain. I was just musing at Batman’s ability to pull other villains into his rogues gallery. A super contortionist is very interesting and I think would make an excellent Green Arrow villain since he would be a very difficult target since he can move however he wants in order to dodge an Arrow
It's ironic that Deathstroke is mistaken for a Batman villain when he's really a Teen Titans villain because the leader of the Teen Titans is Robin (Batman's Sidekick.)
@John Cobblepot I have read teen Titans comics FYI. I’m just pointing out that it’s interesting deathstroke is mistaken for a Batman villain when he’s really a teen Titans villain and Robin is on the teen titans that’s it, why are you arguing with me?
I feel like there's a good story that's never been told with Slade using his genius and abilities to enact a very devious and emotional plot to use both Dick and Bruce's love for each other against one another in a very hateful revenge plot. Please, let a good writer and team make this story. There's so much potential there for a classic.
I like the idea of Clock King being a Batman villain though, mostly because I adore Batman and Green Arrow's okay but not one of my favorites. Also, I feel like the Batman franchise has used Clock King better. He has been in three Batman tv shows (60's, The Animated Series and The Brave and the Bold). Arrow, which was a show that lasted for 8 seasons, only used Clock King once. Well, he was in a Flash episode that's in the same shared universe, but still, it seems like a waste of potential. I like Deathstroke showing up occasionally in Batman, but I think he works best as a Teen Titans villain. Rag Doll was awesome in The Batman. His wacky, eccentric personality helps him fit well in Batman.
I thought Solomon Grundy was a Superman villain. I only saw Solomon Grundy in one Batman comic, “The Long Halloween”. He was also in one of the latest Batman/Superman comics. I actually think Solomon Grundy would work as a Superman villain.
Personally I don't think Ragdoll works as Flash villain. What chance does a guy whose only ability is that he is master contortionist have against the fastest man alive? He would be defeat in a matter of seconds. I also don't have a problem with Grundy as Bat-rogue since he does fit the theme of Batman villain well: He has a great callback to classic horror monster like Frankenstein and, depending on the writer, he can be a very tragic and sympathetic villain, as showed in Justice League cartoon. I would love to see a team up between him and Killer Croc, since they are both monsters who tricked and manipulated by villains, are reject by society and just want to find a place where they belong.
@John Cobblepot Yes Ragdoll is Flash villain and that makes no sense because his power is weak and Flash should be able to defeat in seconds with no difficult. Just because a villain show up a in specific hero's comic doesn't mean he can go to another rogues gallery and make more sucess there. Take Kingpin for exemple. He begin as Spider man villain but after he went to the Daredevil comics and since then he is know by many fans as the man without fear greatest enemy.
@John Cobblepot The Flash rogues are criminals with hi-tech weapons and gadgets, some of it created specifically to counter flash's powers like Cap Cold freeze gun. Ragdoll is just some thief with acrobatic and contortionist. What he is gonna do against the Flash? What threat he represent to the scarlet speedster? None. At least when he fights against Batman it makes sense since some of Batman rogues like Catwoman or Riddler are just cunning criminals who enjoy pulling daring heist and escape from the dark knight.
I have never agree on someone more, also I feel like Batman should fight the original rag doll while nightwing fight rag doll jr base on their similar acrobatic skill
Also Batman fighting rag doll make sense cause ragdoll abuse his own offspring and that is something that was never explore on maybe Batman can explore that
Gentleman ghost, count vertigo, king Shark, lady Shiva, bronze tiger, prometheus, psycho pirate and Dr destiny are considered by some to be batman villains but they are dead wrong
Why the hell king shark considered as a batman villian ? I dont think they got any interaction at all. Not in the comics nor any animated series or movies.
@@Guy_who_likes-music he was originally a jla villain, but nowadays he's just like Solomon Grundy or deathstroke, that is a villain for all the heroes of DC universe.
Putting him up against a hero is different than putting him in a rogues gallery he isn't in. He shouldn't have been in war of jokes and riddles or the unmade Batfleck.
@@Frogman1212 - Slade is also in the Bat-rogues gallery in the currently ongoing *"Joker: A Puzzlebox"* I love that run, and I recommended it to Mr Rogues the other day... And in it, Deathstroke is clearly treated as Batrogue, being locked up alongside Two-Face, Joker, Black Mask, Mr Freeze, Penguin, Harley Quinn, Poison Ivy, Scarecrow, Prof Pyg, Killer Croc, Bane, etc etc etc... In 2019, we also got the 6-issues long *"Batman vs Deathstroke"* storyline which was actually pretty fun IMHO. Damian's interactions with Slade are priceless in that one, following him around calling him "father" ^^ All of this to say, that ever since "Arkham Origins", it's hard to be mad at Bat-casuals when they call Slade a Bat-rogue, or even a Green Arrow rogues, since in *Arrow* , Slade was Oliver's original nemesis alongside Malcolm Merlyn. It's only in season 5 with Prometheus that Oli got a new rival/nemesis, and then in 6/7/8 his enemies became way less personal.
I never thought cloock king was a green arrow villian and i think i like him that way. For the others, i never thought as them as batman villians, for solomon grandy and his inclutions was just beacuse he is fan favor and not beacuse he is bat rouge.
I really like the theme for this video, especialy to give more value to others rogue gallery, but I have a little correction to make; Ragdoll was in TWO episodes from "the Batman" (and a small cameo in the episode "Rumors").
Well Wolverine, at marvel have the same problem: Lady Deathstrike, who was originally an Daredevil secondary character, become an iconic villain of Logan. Silver Samurai start has a Daredevil villain, then face Spider-man in several team-up issue, before being associate with Wolverine. Sabertooth faced first Iron Fist and only start fighting Logan during the Mutant Massacre saga and since then he's become his arch-nemesis. To be fair several iconic X-men foe come from other title, like Mystic and Death-Bird from Miss Marvel comics. You can thanks Chris Claremont for that by the way.
Given the reference to Villains United Ragdoll made in the show, I think the idea is that this isn't the original Ragdoll, but his son, Peter Merkel Jr.
I mean to be absolutely fair, I think Ragdoll’s appearance on The Batman was his best appearance as Jeff Bennett’s performance was absolutely killer and he got one of the absolute best redesigns of the show right next to Gearhead. I feel like what they could’ve done was establish that he was previously an enemy to Flash in the show since Flash was in season 5 of the show.
I think Grundy is basically an all time everywhere villian, and hawkgirl/hawkman also fit Grundy well. Anyhow, his everywhere appearance emphasis his durability and immortality just better. Batman does not kill anyway, so Grundy's gimmick does not shine that strongly against Batman alone
I'm convinced I saw Rag Doll escaping from Arkham Asylum along with many Batman villains in a comic once and then assumed he was one - only to find he wasn't. (I still think he fits Batman better anyway).
Also with another flash rogue called murmur should totally be a Batman, and maybe Batman give Prometheus, clock king, and onomatopoeia back to Ollie’s rogues gallery for balancing
@@KaihnhbvcxPrometheus is definitely a batman villain also batman has enough serial killer villains joker zsasz doll maker murder works as a arrow villain
Frankly Deathstroke and Ragdoll (II) should be Nightwing villains for thematic reasons Deathstroke's history as a Titans villain has lead to him alternating between antagonizing Grayson and trying to influence him in a warped paternal kinda way. This makes Slade something of a warped reflection of Dick's relationship with Bruce Meanwhile Ragdoll (II) acts as an interesting foil to Dick himself While Nightwing was an acrobat, Ragdoll is a contortionist. While Nightwing has a strained relationship with Batman, Ragdoll had an abusive relationship with his father the original Ragdoll. While Dick is famous for being involved in love triangles and has had multiple girlfriends, Ragdoll is implied to be asexual/aromatic.
@John Cobblepot Easy, he has a long history of menacing the character and occasionally co-opting him in the Teen Titans book. I think I even read somewhere that Wolfman and Perez conceived the character to be a dark reflection of Batman.
At least with Grundy, he appeared in that CW show Stargirl, so there is mainstream exposure for Grundy facing off the JSA. Perhaps he will appear in a future JSA film if Black Adam is a big success.
Thank you! I am so sick of Deathstroke being depicted as a Bat rogue. He is a teen titans villain. Only reason he keeps getting pitted against Batman is because of his popularity. He also isn't a Green Arrow villain!
I’d honestly say he has beef with Batman due to Nightwing being Batman’s Family. So I could understand why ppl say he’s a Batman villain but honestly just Nightwing and the Titans is fine.
I feel Captain Boomerang is even tiptoeing around Batman borders as his connection with Tim Drake/Harley Quinn and his frequent appearances in Batman media such as Assault on Arkham and The LEGO Batman Movie. You could fairly argue its moreso Suicide Squad stuff but I feel he's starting to go in and out on Batman territory
9:57 Solomon Grundys episode in 'The Batman' cartoon was one of my favorites, even though he did end up being Ethan Bennett, the real Grundy was heard at the final moment of the episode.
In all fairness, alan scott is also gotham city based , and was a co creation batman co creator Bill finger, so if u look at is it this way being the same city and they can share villains and grundy's origin puts him in gotham city. So a good agument can be made for him, the others not so much
solomon grundy is in like my top 3 batman villains, i definitely consider him a batman villain. he’s in batman comics, quite a few shows, ofc the long halloween, and ofc arkham city
Ragdoll also appeared on the episode team penguin ( that's what I think it was called, if not someone please correct me if I am wrong). I think it's a pretty funny episode and one of my favourite episodes of the show.
I personally like the idea of Ragdoll being a Black Canary antagonist. Or having Solomon Grundy as a villain to Zatanna. There’s several superheroes who could have their own rogues galleries if they just borrowed some lesser known ones from other heroes.
The list needs to be a lot longer, just because Batman is on the JLA doesn't mean every villain that ever fought an incarnation of the JLA that Batman was on need to be on your Batman villains list, Wikipedia.
Well in the TV Series STARGIRL has Solomon Grundy as part of the Injustice Society of America, so they have corrected that mistake. Also he did appear in THE BATMAN (technically it was his legend, Clayface’s impersonation, and cameo at the end).
I think people might also think ragdoll is a batman villain due to his membership in the secret six that features several batman rogues like catman and bane i think ragdoll is also a starman villain and general jsa villain
I agree with your list tho I think Solomon gundy kinda works because of some horror elements seen in batman comics. Like to Gotham's criminals batman is seen as a supernatural being or when hes fought rouges with classic monster traits Like hugo strange and his monster men or Dracula , the mad monk, or noctuna which are the vampire types Manbat or Anthony lupus are the werewolf types Clayface when he frist appeared was kinda like the phantom of the opera And two face had a doctor Jekyll and mr hyde feel about him so for Solomon grundy being a zombie feels to me like he would fit in
Dr. Double X is starting to be called a Superman villain in the Children of Arkham comic, which makes sense given his powers but has Sups ever actually fought the guy?
It's always frustrating how they try to take everyone else's rogues and give them to Batman. I wouldn't be surprised if they tried making someone like Parasite a villain for Batman
1: For those saying Deathstroke is a Nightwing/Teen Titans villain: In the past decade Deathstroke has fought the Titans in 2 or 3 stories and hasn't been the villain in a single issue of Nightwing. I'm not saying Slade is necessarily a Batman villain but he hasn't really been a Titans/Nightwing villain in years. 2: Solomon Grundy has mostly appeared in Batman stories in the past decade so I think it's safe to say that he's a Batman villain now even though that's more of a recent thing than people think.
I have a DC universe ive been working on and im using all of these villains, but im going to have both batman and the other heroes fight them, this is how Clock king: will appear in green arrow miniseries as a one off villain and later on will go to gotham Deathstroke: starts off as an ally to batman and oliver queen when hes on the island, but then becomes deathstroke and starts his revenge quest against batman, but eventually switches to robin which naturally turns him into an enemy of the titans Ragdoll: no plans yet other then he will be in flash series Grundy: cyrus gold was victor stones friend but after the accident that forced victor to become cyborg, cyrus fell into a lake, the origins are shown in my solomon grundy short film which will be reused as a scene in that movie
You actually make some pretty good arguments on why these villains don't belong in the Batman rogues gallery. I feel like to me Clue Master doesn't really fit as a Batman villain too. Because I don't think that Batman needs Clue Master. He already has a villain who leaves clues behind the Riddler (Who is my favorite Batman bw). I think you can give Clue Master to someone else like Green arrow I think it would be really interesting Clue Master who leaves clues behind for the Green arrow the hero of Star city. Also another option maybe you can give Clue Master to The Teen Titans instead. I think it would be pretty interesting Clue Master taking on the Teen Titans. But yeah that's one villain that I don't think should be a Batman villain either. We have the Riddler leaves riddles as clues we don't need a Clue master leaving clues to the dark knight.
I think Ragdoll should be a Batman villian, hes power dosnt fit to fight eny of the flash’s and i think i he will fit in Gotham being a dark/creepy character, also to team up with Scarescrow could be fitting. Grundy is good as a crossover villian.
Solomon Grundy makes more sense fighting Justice League Dark, and other mystical heroines and heroes. He makes more sense with Zatanna, Constantine, Swamp Thing, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, and Shazam.
I kind of have a reverse example, can writers please stop making Deadshot fight other heroes? He's a Batman villain! Yet he won't stop popping up in other places!
I realize I'm dating myself here... But when "Challenge of the Superfriends" was airing, I seem to recall that Toyman was set up as a Batman villain. Go fig.
I was hoping gentleman Ghost would be on this list So many Batman fans swear to God he's a Batman villain yes he showed up a couple of times in the comics and he was in a lot of episodes of brave and the bold but they keep arguing he is a Batman and yes I do like him in the Batman rogues gallery don't get me wrong I love him more as a batman villain he was introduced to me as one but still! Even though he's one of my favorite villains I know for a fact he doesn't belong in the Batman rogues gallery he's a Hawkman villain!! Come on Batman stop stealing everyone's villains you have a huge rogues gallery you don't need any more villains!! I'm cutting you off Batman this has gone too far! What would Alfred think!?
I cannot believe Slade ( AKA Deathstroke The Terminator) appeared in My Adventures With Superman but I already know that he is the main enemy of The Teen Titans although he, in the comics, had fought many DC heroes, including Batman! I am a fan of the classic Teen Titans series where Slade, like in the comics, is the main enemy of the TT and had used Terra as apart of his evil schemes like in ' The Judas Contract' storyline of The New Teen Titans. The only difference is that Terra was not pure evil like her comic book counterpart but was an outcast.
0:30 Probably because Batman is very popular and he's such an easy pick to throw someone else's rogues against without it seeming silly. You can't do that for Superman without most villains looking weak. What I would like your opinion on is the opposite: What do you think about Batman villains crossing over with other heroes? Like Riddler against the Flash.
It's probably just me but I feel like the more rogue that hero have in his/her rogue gallery the more movie ,tv show, cartoon show and etc that hero will have.(for obvious example batman )
Maybe they think Batman could use an actual time rogue? I mean, there's plenty of time and clock villains in DC, but oddly enough, with the exception of Time Commander, none in the Gotham rogues gallery. Clock King fits pretty nicely too. Insane weirdo with a crazy fixation on something? Right up Rogues' alley. Deathstroke... Given he's viewed as Nightwing's nemesis, a rivalry with Grayson's mentor was quite inevitable. Plus he's effectively an Anti-Batman when you think about it. Fantastic martial artist, loads of eccentric gadgets, brilliant tactical mind etc... Grundy... This one makes sense, as he was originally an enemy of the Golden Age Green Lantern, who also protected Gotham. With that tie, Grundy facing the Bat at some point was inevitable. Ragdoll probably only gets labelled as a Bat rogue because of his appearance on The Batman. And strictly speaking, it was TWO appearances on that show he made. I remember another episode where he joined Oswald, Garfield, Waylon and Durry for some heist. He'd actually probably be better off as a Batman villain too, I mean what good's his agility against the Golden Age Scarlett Speedster?
You know I've been feeling lately Green Arrow shouldn't really have a rouges gallery. I mean in the 70's and 80's he doesn't and those comics have some of the best Green Arrow stories.
I thought for a moment that metallo was about to be mentioned in some part of the video, for that moment when he was accused of being the murderer of Batman's parents.
I think some of these villains might have (originally) been shown in Batman media to get them better acquainted with audiences that didn't know that much about them. They weren't perfect at this but I think Batman:the Brave and the Bold and Superman TAS did a better job of showing that these types of villains weren't necessarily in the title character's rogues gallery than most of these shows games or comics mentioned.
FunFact: Not only Deathstroke is a Teen Titans villain, He also villain for green arrow. Besides I can them be rival/Enemy, They don't like each other. But they do respect goal.
Rag doll was in 2 episodes of the Batman he was in his 1st appearance I believe it’s called from ragdoll‘s to riches and was used again in the team Penguin episode
Yeah, I completely agree. Other heroes desperately need their villains back. However, there is one good thing considering Batman's rogue gallery assimilating other villains : it brings those other villains into spotlight. I don't think anyone would care about Clock King, Ragdoll or Grundy if they didn't appear in Batman media.
Well Ragdoll has appeared alongside Bane in recent batman comics, as well as the fact he just fits the vibe of Batman far more than Flash and can easily be associated with Dollmaker... And Solomon Grundy is also just because of the theme more than anything and has appeared in numerous comics before and after Long Halloween as well as movies, tv and games so idk

I don’t mind deathstroke fighting Batman, but he’s canonically a nightwing and teen titans villain.
Maybe Clock King fit Batman better than Green Arrow.
Mostly he has a feud with beastboy. Since when nightwing?
And him being Nightwing/Robin’s arch enemy automatically links him to Batman
Indeed
Green Arrow too
Deathstroke, major enemy throughout the OG Teen Titans cartoon show
Becomes a Bat villain because of 1 boss fight in a game
Batman's rogues gallery is a supermassive black hole that sucks all lesser rogues galleries onto itself.
Deathstroke isn’t a Batman villain. He’s simply a villain who has fought Batman. There’s a difference.
Like all the other villain mentionned in this video.
He is pretty much an everyone villain he would work with every character except maybe wonder woman or green lantern same for deadshot actually

I believe that Ragdoll in The Batman was used to replace Scarecrow who was unavailable to use in the show because of the Chris Nolan movies.
When I first saw him I thought he was Scarecrow at first.
I honestly wouldn't mind a design like that for crane
they sued to have weird rules back then. they really rhought it would confuse audiences
"recently", and I use the term broadly, he has made appearances against:
=>Batgirl in 2020, henching for Dasha Berlova in Babs' solo title.
He decided to finish the job with Dick Grayson to get his rep back,
=>but got curbstomped again in the pages of *Nightwing* in 2021 by a back-in-business Dick.
(I also liked how they started to call him "The Beast" instead of KGBeast, which is a tad outdated as a name)
But afterward, he put on a good fight against Batman after turning Dick into Ric, and then it was back to being a jobber against Batgirl, Damian & Nightwing...
That sucks, I guess I started to care a bit too much for Anatoli Knyazev, after his adaptation into the Arrowverse.
@@randallflagg3700 last time batman locked him in a room to starve

Same thing when Batman left him to die in the snow after breaking his neck in Tom King's run, when Anatoli is hired by Bane to kill Nightwing.
We're first led to believe that he's breaking his code, then a few issues later we learn that Batman had spotted helicopters far away, and knew the Beast would be rescued.
I guess the one tome we're sure Batman kills Anatoli is in *Batman vs Superman* , where we see him burn to death in front of us.

Batman: "That's a nice rogue's gallery you've got there. It'd be a REAL shame if something was to happen to them."
To quote brave and the bold:
Other hero’s often ask,
Why is he always the top cat.
Solomon Grundy is not a Batman villain - but he totally should be.
It's ironic that Deathstroke is mistaken for a Batman villain when he's really a Teen Titans villain because the leader of the Teen Titans is Robin (Batman's Sidekick.)
@John Cobblepot well Robin is the one deathstroke has the most beef with.
@John Cobblepot yeah, but Robin is the one deathstrokes the most obsessed with.
Hell no. Let it be with the teen titans but not batman and nightwing

Agreed. The first time I ever heard of Solomon Grundy was in a Superman comic.
I also think he'd be a great Swamp Thing villain.
Deathstroke is NOT a Batman anyways. Don't know what DC was thinking.
Also Batman fighting rag doll make sense cause ragdoll abuse his own offspring and that is something that was never explore on maybe Batman can explore that
Batman already has lots of these horror themed villains
Gentleman ghost, count vertigo, king Shark, lady Shiva, bronze tiger, prometheus, psycho pirate and Dr destiny are considered by some to be batman villains but they are dead wrong

@@Frogman1212 - Slade is also in the Bat-rogues gallery in the currently ongoing *"Joker: A Puzzlebox"*
I love that run, and I recommended it to Mr Rogues the other day...
Damian's interactions with Slade are priceless in that one, following him around calling him "father" ^^
All of this to say, that ever since "Arkham Origins", it's hard to be mad at Bat-casuals when they call Slade a Bat-rogue, or even a Green Arrow rogues, since in *Arrow* , Slade was Oliver's original nemesis alongside Malcolm Merlyn.
Pretty sure everyone knows Grundy isn't a Batman villain. He felt out of place in The Long Halloween.

Completely agree Ronks, these four always bug me
I really like the theme for this video, especialy to give more value to others rogue gallery, but I have a little correction to make; Ragdoll was in TWO episodes from "the Batman" (and a small cameo in the episode "Rumors").
I can't believe they really put Solomon Grundy in Arkham asylum in the comics.
Like what the hell the psychiatrists will do with him.

Well Wolverine, at marvel have the same problem:
Lady Deathstrike, who was originally an Daredevil secondary character, become an iconic villain of Logan.
@Rob Mohamedally He is also a spotlight thief
Given the reference to Villains United Ragdoll made in the show, I think the idea is that this isn't the original Ragdoll, but his son, Peter Merkel Jr.
I mean to be absolutely fair, I think Ragdoll’s appearance on The Batman was his best appearance as Jeff Bennett’s performance was absolutely killer and he got one of the absolute best redesigns of the show right next to Gearhead. I feel like what they could’ve done was establish that he was previously an enemy to Flash in the show since Flash was in season 5 of the show.
“Didnt this guy once wipe the floor with the entire justice league how’s Batman on his own supposed to fight that”
Batman: “hold my beer”

Frankly Deathstroke and Ragdoll (II) should be Nightwing villains for thematic reasons
Deathstroke's history as a Titans villain has lead to him alternating between antagonizing Grayson and trying to influence him in a warped paternal kinda way. This makes Slade something of a warped reflection of Dick's relationship with Bruce
Meanwhile Ragdoll (II) acts as an interesting foil to Dick himself
While Nightwing was an acrobat, Ragdoll is a contortionist. While Nightwing has a strained relationship with Batman, Ragdoll had an abusive relationship with his father the original Ragdoll. While Dick is famous for being involved in love triangles and has had multiple girlfriends, Ragdoll is implied to be asexual/aromatic.
I love Ragdoll II *
@John Cobblepot Easy, he has a long history of menacing the character and occasionally co-opting him in the Teen Titans book.
I think I even read somewhere that Wolfman and Perez conceived the character to be a dark reflection of Batman.
For real, Rag doll could be Dick Grayson’s Joker equivalent considering they could write it that they started out together at the Haly Circus
I would say he’s a nightwing and a teen titans villain
So a good agument can be made for him, the others not so much
@John Cobblepot it was just the point i was making, same city
Deathstroke Is Robin's Nemesis from Titans. Isn't He?
Do we really need such rigid rogues galleries? The DC universe is so wide. If one week the Riddler wants to up against the Flash, why shouldn't he?
Omg, thank you for this! I have so many arguments on Twitter and Facebook comment sections about Deathstroke not being a Batman villain!
solomon grundy is in like my top 3 batman villains, i definitely consider him a batman villain. he’s in batman comics, quite a few shows, ofc the long halloween, and ofc arkham city
I'm happy you made that point , Deathstroke is not a Batman villain same for Solomon Grundy
Ragdoll also appeared on the episode team penguin ( that's what I think it was called, if not someone please correct me if I am wrong). I think it's a pretty funny episode and one of my favourite episodes of the show.
Wikipedia and DC Fandom say Reverse Flash is a Batman Villain
Barry: Eobard, you're just another Batman villian?
Thawne: It wasn't me this time Barry, I swear.
They list anyone that's fought a character a few times.
I WAS A BATMAN VILLIAN ALL ALONG BARRY!!!!
It's a literally flash in his name. Is like a naming a character called the reverse batman to be a flash villain.
I think they went overboard with Deathstroke's appearances in the Batman comic last decade.
I personally like the idea of Ragdoll being a Black Canary antagonist. Or having Solomon Grundy as a villain to Zatanna. There’s several superheroes who could have their own rogues galleries if they just borrowed some lesser known ones from other heroes.
I love the idea of Grundy being a Superman villain, he’s like doomsday but with the pressure of making it a big story
I think people might also think ragdoll is a batman villain due to his membership in the secret six that features several batman rogues like catman and bane
i think ragdoll is also a starman villain and general jsa villain
I agree with your list tho I think Solomon gundy kinda works because of some horror elements seen in batman comics.
Like to Gotham's criminals batman is seen as a supernatural being or when hes fought rouges with classic monster traits
Like
hugo strange and his monster men or Dracula , the mad monk, or noctuna which are the vampire types
Manbat or Anthony lupus are the werewolf types
Clayface when he frist appeared was kinda like the phantom of the opera
And two face had a doctor Jekyll and mr hyde feel about him so for Solomon grundy being a zombie feels to me like he would fit in
Dr. Double X is starting to be called a Superman villain in the Children of Arkham comic, which makes sense given his powers but has Sups ever actually fought the guy?
He thought Superman in a issue of Worlds Finest back in the early 80s.

Im so sick of people saying Deathstroke is a batman villain.....
It's always frustrating how they try to take everyone else's rogues and give them to Batman. I wouldn't be surprised if they tried making someone like Parasite a villain for Batman
You forgor Gentleman Ghost 💀
True
Well to be fair gentleman ghost fought batman a couple of times
@Rob Mohamedally yeah that is true and he faced the justice society of America
1: For those saying Deathstroke is a Nightwing/Teen Titans villain: In the past decade Deathstroke has fought the Titans in 2 or 3 stories and hasn't been the villain in a single issue of Nightwing. I'm not saying Slade is necessarily a Batman villain but he hasn't really been a Titans/Nightwing villain in years.
2: Solomon Grundy has mostly appeared in Batman stories in the past decade so I think it's safe to say that he's a Batman villain now even though that's more of a recent thing than people think.
I have a DC universe ive been working on and im using all of these villains, but im going to have both batman and the other heroes fight them, this is how
Clock king: will appear in green arrow miniseries as a one off villain and later on will go to gotham
Deathstroke: starts off as an ally to batman and oliver queen when hes on the island, but then becomes deathstroke and starts his revenge quest against batman, but eventually switches to robin which naturally turns him into an enemy of the titans
Ragdoll: no plans yet other then he will be in flash series
Grundy: cyrus gold was victor stones friend but after the accident that forced victor to become cyborg, cyrus fell into a lake, the origins are shown in my solomon grundy short film which will be reused as a scene in that movie
Or etrigon and they could do what they did to manbat and make him a anti hero
I agree a lot with deathstroke. I get really annoyed when people think he’s a batman villian
I kind of have a reverse example, can writers please stop making Deadshot fight other heroes? He's a Batman villain! Yet he won't stop popping up in other places!
Ragdoll was a mainstay on the Secret Six, a super team mainly populated with Batman villains. I can see where the assumption comes from.
I realize I'm dating myself here... But when "Challenge of the Superfriends" was airing, I seem to recall that Toyman was set up as a Batman villain. Go fig.
the first one who comes to mind to me to not being a batman villain is Gentleman Ghost ... i just love having him in bats rogue galery
I support you, Rogues. Those villains should be with another hero. Thanks for the video. God bless you.
your videos are great keep it up
I was hoping gentleman Ghost would be on this list So many Batman fans swear to God he's a Batman villain yes he showed up a couple of times in the comics and he was in a lot of episodes of brave and the bold but they keep arguing he is a Batman and yes I do like him in the Batman rogues gallery don't get me wrong I love him more as a batman villain he was introduced to me as one but still!
What I would like your opinion on is the opposite:
What do you think about Batman villains crossing over with other heroes?
Like Riddler against the Flash.
Difficult but non impossible for gin to be a threat
But why grundy?
It's probably just me but I feel like the more rogue that hero have in his/her rogue gallery the more movie ,tv show, cartoon show and etc that hero will have.(for obvious example batman )
6:18 No sir, he was also on the 'Team Penguin' episode.
At this rate Batman will be stealing villains from Marvel and Dark Horse by 2030.
I mean in the 70's and 80's he doesn't and those comics have some of the best Green Arrow stories.
well ragdoll I think it was also considered batman villain because of his new 52 appearance in a batgirl book
Same thing happens in marvel zebadiah killgrave anyone a daredevil villain now know for Jessica Jones
I'm glad you made this video because I seriously thought clock king was a Batman villain.
I 100% agree With Deathstork not being a Batman villain as well as most of the ones on here.
deathstork..... yeah, yeah, that could work.....
That was a really memorable episode of The Batman. Ragdoll got crushed by clocktower gears and didn't give a shit.
Please do a list on underrated batman villains
I thought for a moment that metallo was about to be mentioned in some part of the video, for that moment when he was accused of being the murderer of Batman's parents.
I think some of these villains might have (originally) been shown in Batman media to get them better acquainted with audiences that didn't know that much about them. They weren't perfect at this but I think Batman:the Brave and the Bold and Superman TAS did a better job of showing that these types of villains weren't necessarily in the title character's rogues gallery than most of these shows games or comics mentioned.
Solomon grundy is a Batman Villain cuz they changed him
FunFact: Not only Deathstroke is a Teen Titans villain, He also villain for green arrow. Besides I can them be rival/Enemy, They don't like each other. But they do respect goal.
Rag doll was in 2 episodes of the Batman he was in his 1st appearance I believe it’s called from ragdoll‘s to riches and was used again in the team Penguin episode
Ragdoll appeared twice on the batman in main rolls.
