This is great. My son in Portugal texts me every morning “Tudo bem?” I always answer the same because I’m just starting to learn Portuguese. I used your video and went old fashion on this by making flash cards to help me answer. Your videos are great… thanks.
Your lesson is amazing but the problem is you are talking a lot in English . As if I don't learn Portuguese but English instead. What about if you explain in Portugues but just write subtitles in English . ?

Or the simplest possible, and my favorite: "bem, obrigado". It's polite, neutral and adequate in all circumstances. Because an important thing to note when choosing an answer is context. Some of these answers are not adequate in some contexts. For example, saying "estou porreiro" isn't proper in a more formal context or if you don't know the person because "porreiro" can be considered slang (for example when answering the question from a shop assistant or from your boss). Also, "tou fixe" sounds weird in these situations, it sounds too informal. When in doubt, a simple "bem, obrigado" never fails.
Never heard such a perfect portuguese accent from a foreigner! Wow, Parabéns.

Tudo bem not used in Portugal, hmm..totally different language. I swear, LOL, sticking with Brazilian Portuguese, sorry.
XD not trying to be bad... but "fixe" and "porreiro" are slang and are only used on some parts of Portugal! As well as most of the other ones you use! The most common answer is (and its irrelevant from the way you feel, the way you are, etc) its: "Ta tudo!". Simple and it will be the only answer you will ever have to give to that question!

Happy birthday! Great options! I think a very Portuguese response is "vai-se andando" though, especially this year. Essentially akin to "How's it going?" "It's going" We're not the most effusive of people, but this one works in every setting, while actually saying you're not doing well is more for people you're close with.

Another way to express you're fine, not doing particularly well, not bad either is "vai-se andando", "vai-se indo" (or using the first person "vou indo/andando"). It kind of gives the idea of "I'm going and managing it as things/life comes". You can also add this at the end of those more negative responses just to mean you don't really feel like talking about it, don't need help, you're managing it. Something like "não muito bem, mas vai-se indo", "Já estive melhor, mas vou andando".
