I’m Portuguese. From the Azores. I love the way you speak English. And the way you speak Portuguese is really outstanding. Keep up the good work.
Muito obrigada!
Both my parents are from Pico . I was born in California but I visit in the summers . My soul belongs in the Azores
Just a note to thank you Liz for the time and obvious effort you've put into making these videos. We have just returned from our first (most certainly not our last visit) and your videos, my dreadful pronunciation, and willingness to engage the local folks made our vacation. The 30 day challenge, numbers and survival Portuguese all added to our enjoyment of a brilliant country!
Thanks again
Thank you so much, I'm so glad!! :)
Regards from Bikram Thapa all the way from South Eastern, Barahakshetra Municipality, Sunsari district Nepal.

No Brasil você poder ouvir simplesmente “quer sentar?”.
Very practical ❤
Glad you liked it!
Yes, yes, yes,
All these restaurant phrases are the most helpful! Obrigadíssimo, Liz! 💯
Glad it was helpful!
Yes❤
Once again great content presented brilliantly!

I’m looking forward to trying to learn some of the phrases. Thank you so much!
You're so welcome!
Que giro! I loved that one. LOL - I already used that one 3 times in the last hour. Seriously, you always provide wonderful commentary and practical application on how to use phrases.
Thank you so much, glad you enjoyed it!
Thank you for this one, Liz. I really enjoyed it and have a good feeling to make progress finally 🙏
You're so welcome!

Thank you Liz, hopefully some of these phrases will stick in my head.Repetition is the key i think.
Absolutely!
This video makes me want to learn more Portuguese. I like your style!
Awesome, I'm so glad! My free lesson for beginners is a great place to get started: www.talkthestreets.com/speak-portuguese-like-a-pro
Great for revision! For some of us there's no metro nearby....so will need to substitute a estaçāo de comboio (the train station) or a paragem (de autocarro) (the bus) stop.
Good idea!
Obrigado Senhora❤
Brilliant! I’m aiming to complete the challenge 😊
You got this! 😊

I am just about to get on a plane from Toronto to Ponta Delgada. I will use all of these phrases and many more. Obrigado, Liz.
So exciting! Let me know how you get on!
Quero aprender..
4:21 No Brasil, você pode dizer: onde fica o banheiro? Onde é o banheiro?
Thanks for this video - as this morning I was trying to find where I'd printed the 30 phrases! Your course is great, and I'm still learning and reviewing!
Fantastic! Thank you so much!
Obrigada!
I have many Brazilian in Japan, apologies early because. They all will all listen to me practicing with them.
E aí? Tudo bem? Tudo certo? Beleza? Também se ouve no Brasil.
These are fab, I have learned most here but some of my pronunciation has been off! Ugh…..I know now!! 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼 Obrigada!
Thank you!
I learnt Portuguese on duolingo for a year the Brazilian dialect. And it sounds so much different to the normal Portuguese
It can be very different - I have a few videos on that topic!
I wish Duolingo would add it, I can't understand why they don't.
Muito obrigado pelo video muito util. Feliz e Próspero Ano Novo.
De nada! Bom Ano! 😊
I'm very interested in your methods. Keep in touch
I'm so glad! My weekly YT lessons return next Tuesday!
I'm fascinated by this video. Rarely someone does portuguese pronunciation. Of course there are some details to work on but you are almost Portuguese. Many congratulations on your work. You have a fan. Finally someone knows that "João" is pronouced like "awn" and not "Aw". Very good indeed. Keep up the good job! Anything you need, feel free to ask!
Muito obrigada pelo comentário! Fico muito feliz 😊
I am Qamar from Pakistan.i like your lesson for portageez language.kindly recommend me as a beginner.
This is such a great video!
Which excuse me is better for getting a waiters attention? Or is there a better phrase for this?
Obrigado!
Muito obrigada!
For a waiter's attention you can simply say "Desculpe" or even "Por favor". "Com licença" is not used in this context. :)
Que giro senhora ❤
got a new apprentice at bakery from brazil. so now i can practice with her.
That's awesome!
This the same phrases in the Quizlet from a couple years ago? I use these all the time.
Hi Rick, yes indeed! 😊
Muito obrigado por trazer o café.
Onde fica o banheiro.
Pode trazer o cardápio por favor.
Frases muito úteis! Just a couple of small changes: banheiro should be casa de banho, and cardápio, even though it is correct, it's not so popular - so I recommend "carta" or "menu" :)
Obrigado.
How much for the course?
10:46 Brasil = Pode me deixar aqui. Fico aqui mesmo.
16:50 🇧🇷 Estou aprendendo português.
I’m thinking about taking the challenge! But how do I say, “I’m just browsing” when I’m in a shop? Thanks for all of these lessons! Looking forward to my first visit to Portugal!
You've got this! You can say "Estou só a ver, obrigada!"
thanks for making videos sister.iam learning portuguese language day by day.sister how can i get pdf note from you? can you give me any idea please🙏🙏
With Esta with annotation the A has an r sound and com the m sounds more like an n
Muito obrigado para ending-se false portugueses ❤❤❤❤
14:43 “pode me trazer a Carta de vinhos?”
Thanks for the video. I question the approach of memorising phrases though. Not sure how they help when you can't keep the conversation going. You get this a lot with tourists, they open the conversation, sounding super proficient in Portuguese but when you reply to them, all you see in a blank look on their faces.
Of course! This is just to get people started and should be used as a complement to a comprehensive program. :)
Once I figure out how to down load the "Challenge", I'll do it. I'm aged challenged. oh, I think I just figured it out. Thank you.
If you need any help feel free to contact us at hello@talkthestreets.com :)
Where do I start which video
Thanks this was helpful, but I can’t find the download checklist
I'm so glad! It's in the video description :)
This is kind of a random comment, but I've been writing my grocery list in Portuguese and it's really helped my vocabulary
That's a great tip!
This is great how do I take the 30 day challenge?
The link is on the description :)
8:55 No Brasil você vai ouvir “sacola”. Quer sacola? Sim, duas sacolas!
I would like to join the 30 day challenge! Can you please send me the PDF?
Of course! Here's the link :) www.talkthestreets.com/30-day-challenge
I want to learn it fast
Uma cafe americano does pastaes da nata fez favor
Could you recommend a European Portuguese translation app, the Google is Brazilian, and not the same. Thanks ❤!
Yes, Reverso Context! I have a lot of app recommendations on my channel 😊
@@TalktheStreets thanks Liz. I have to take more notes when I watch your blogs. I did purchase the Quizlet App, which I am enjoying and it’s just perfect for my level of like below beginner lol. Love your vlogs and stories, thanks.

Cona is a swear word in Portuguese so definitely DO NOT use that to ask for permission to pass.. that would be com licença. 🤦🏻♀️
Thank you how do I download the PDF file?
