DEAR SENIORS: An Open Letter to the Class of 2020

Thank you😔❤️❤️ I come from a school where students are sort of unkind to us class of 2020😔other class years were mocking and laughing at us about how our senior year was cancelled once they found out schools are closing for the rest of the year. They told us to get over it, it’s no big deal blah blah blah… Yes it is such a big deal bc it’s a apart of our lifetime because you’ll probably never see your classmates again and prom, senior walk, etc graduation, stuff like that which hurted me the most and i don’t think that I’ll ever be over this😔

I am crying right now. I can’t believe it’s all coming to an end. You know, since kindergarten, I felt that it was gonna take a lifetime to graduate HS. Now it’s actually happening and I have no idea how time passed so fast😭😭 and end... and a beginning...

I am a senior graduating this year and I moved schools for my last year of high school and I I finally got the high school experience that I dreamed of I finally had friends and made so many amazing memories with them and I all I wanted was to spend these final months with them. This is truly a beautiful video and I hope more seniors see this.

Great video with an even greater message! As a current high school senior it is great to see support and motivation from all around and although I and many others will not receive a normal senior year it doesn’t mean that things can’t be special or can’t have the same meaning behind them. I like to think that with every negative event there is an underlying positive. Which is what I see with this situation. It is terrible to see all the people who have lost their lives or have been harshly affected by the events of Covid-19 but in times of pain and suffering we grow closer and are able to see through a new lens which shows us how fragile and important life truly is.

I was only born in January 08 but this made me tear up, y’all were in school longer than I was alive!!! 😭

I feel like everyone else is forgetting about all the other people going to school. What about the juniors losing precious time to build their college applications? What will they do? What about the young children whose families are suffering because they were laid off? There are so many students going through these difficult times, not just the class of 2020. I completely understand why the class of 2020 is being recognized, and honestly what is happening to you guys sucks and my heart goes out to you guys, but students of all ages are suffering right now.
