I am using a Fatshark Dominator V3 and has watched your review couple of times before purchasing. Your comments and impressions have helped a lot, when I have tried them on. I have purchased them from a work colleague, it was "used" but he basically just purchased them and had them lying on the shelf for roughly 3 years. Even the battery was on storage charge from the box.
If I would get a goggle now it would be either this one or the Skyzone sibling of it.

I agree with your assessment of the Skyzone o3o receiver. I get better range on my EV800D box goggle receivers than I do on my skyzones. Love em but I wish the reception was better.

Just ordered them, Black Friday deal at 354 euro. I've been using EV100 with an external DVR for nearly 2 years. HDO2 and EV300D have large knobs on the bottom, I have set the focus and IPD on my EV100s then put sticky tape over the controls to stop them moving, still in focus after all this time. I need +3 reading glasses, so couldn't risk buying the new FS Attitude v6 because they only go from +2 to -6, even though they're much cheaper. Thanks for the review Albert and Happy Flying.
I've been using the 03O's for about 7-8 months and my only complaint is the lack of a module bay - I just picked up the "barnacle" adapter but having it built in would have been perfect. I really like the scroll wheel menu navigation on these, I often find myself hitting the wrong button when trying to change settings, closing the menu. These would be a sweet set if I didn't already have my 03O's!

I don't have a video on that. I think that video would be about 10 seconds long. I didn't make any settings changes at all. Just plugged it into the Fatsharks and powered them on. Obviously I tuned to the channel my VTX was on. This takes all of 10 seconds.

looks a well thought out goggle, i find the sky03 gives a glossy image and the fatties are a bit grainy by comparison.

They look like a quality set, happy they work for you.
My biggest concern with Eachine is warranty, repairs, and customer service. They are not inexpensive goggles. On a plus side, Skyzone quality. Allegedly 👍🤓
I think you will get 1 month warranty and a awful support. I had an issue in my Ev300D and eachine asked me to repair by myself. 😅
Was so close to getting these but after owning the sky03O I think the 35° fov is to small (for me personally). The extra 3° don't really justify a purchase especially when I want to move to a high immersive fov.

Good points! I want to love my fatsharks, but my face is too wide. Huge gap and really uncomfortable in stock form. I double stacked foam on the top of the face plate and that seems to help flatten it out a bit which makes them usable. A real bummer they don't consider people with larger faces. IPD is also not quite as advertised and too small. Really hope they take notice of your commentary and try making a wider face plate on the next variant.
Does the Rapid fire Modul fits the modulbay of the EV300O?

Not that I know of. It would require making some custom parts in a CAD program.
Any update on the second receiver. I picked these up after watching this and JBs review and I really like them. I just curios if the second mix receiver is worth it. I went with a patch antenna and a similar lollipop style supplied receiver.
The dvr got a functionality upgrade as well the the auto recording got a follow mode aka record on signal. I'm also on the wide face mount and I am all European so wide faces come from all backgrounds.
I've mentioned this in later videos but the second receiver doesn't improve it much. My best guess is a 10 to 15% improvement in the signal. So if you need that marginal improvement, then go for it. Not worth it for me.
why did you use exact 2 antennas? because of rapid mix? and a second question is the rapid mix mode better then normal diversity?
Hi, I have the same question ! Until today I used one omni and one patch antenna and couldn’t find different results when using mix mode or diversity mode. Now I want to go on long range with a 7inch and replace the patch antenna by a 7-turn helical. It would help if someone could explain what’s better, mix mode or diversity mode … 😮
Thanks, appreciate your sharing the evaluation process you made. For those of us who can't have everything, I'd like to know why you wouldn't put a premium analog receiver (Rapidfire?) on your DJI goggles and make that your daily driver?
I've considered that but I only have a very bulky solution for the module that makes it inconvenient to keep the goggles in the case I have. Also, the DVR on the DJI goggles will occasionally stop recording when signal is low. I can't have this happen for my review purposes.

They have a lot of adjustment that is good...I had the skyzone 020's and couldn't focus, kept seeing two screens so I sold them and got the fatshark scout's. Now I can see but the reception isn't very good. I wish someone would make a really good single screen goggle.....
I have the scouts and they're fine for me, in fact I've gone 4 miles out with them. Using foxeer lolipop 3's

DoubleTap Gaming I have the fat shark transformer box goggle and they worked great! I don’t know if they are still being sold, plus if the shark bite ever comes out, the transformer would be compatible. You should try it out.

💯Actually just picked these up after watching video after video, this video sold me on them so i pulled the trigger and got them today Aug 2022, I got the midnight blue, these will be my first ones that i ever gotten or wear because i wear glasses and always went with the monitors instead, new to the fpv world, i also picked up the Foxeer Antenna you are showing and a fatstraps strap blue camo pattern from RaceDayQuads! Whats eachine customer service/support like for the consumer?
Can they fit diopters? Any special/proprietary size or normal fatshark? I have astigmatism so the adjustable inbuilt diopters only compensate for one defect
This model has no diopter insert slots. However, it doesn't mean something else could be developed with enough creativity. I suppose a 3D printed adapter might be possible but of course someone will have to engineer that concept into a working product. The problem is, the market for folks like yourself is very small so no one will spend the R&D time and money to make stuff like that.
Have you tried these yet with a 2nd Eachine Rapidmix module in the spare port!!.
Yes, the performance difference isn't much. Not worth the extra $100 for the module and antennas IMO.
Do you think 18650s or a lipo is better for goggles? My understanding is that a lipo discharges a lot of power fast and lion discharged less power all at once but discharges slower so it lasts longer. I've been using a 2 lion fatshark 2 lion case on my Sky030s.
18650 will offer way more power on time between charges. However, they also are a lot more weight. Your head may not like that. LOL. 😃😃🤣
Is it possible to install 2 fapidfire module or just mixt modules like a rapidmix with a rapidfire module at the same time working in quadversity? Is so, can you do a comparaison videos against a single module of the same fligth?

Quadversity is only supported with two Rapidmix modules AFAIK. If Rapidfire can open source their firmware, maybe Eachine can support it. I think the likelihood is low to none.
What are your thoughts on just buying DJI Goggles for both analog and digital? I am thinking of upgrading my goggles from the ev800d but I don't think it is a good idea to buy two expensive goggles. I know I will eventually go digital but I still have one or two analog quad which I don't think that I will switch all of them to digital so soon due to the cost. What do you think?
Sure, a lot of people are doing that. I know it works.

Can you tell me how you put a split screen in you videos. I have a galaxy note 20 ultra phone. It does come with good video editing software but I have not seen how you do a split screen.
Fat shark is coming out with a unit that will bolt on to the HDO 2 goggles making them like the dji goggles. Do you think they will work with the 300O goggles since it does have a hdmi in on the 300O. What do you think.
I use Adobe Premiere. There are probably a lot of tutorials on TH-cam for editing a split screen. Way too long to type out here. I have no idea how it would be done on a phone app. I don't know anything about what Fatshark is up to other than they are late to the party.

It should work via the mini-HDMI port. I was able to get that to work on my SKY04X goggles.

The skyzone skyO4x are essentially the same, but the included reciever and the screen are far better. Have you tried them?

Good choice. Lot of value for the money. Use the d version and am very happy with it.
Those apparently have a lot of latency. Have you noticed that?
The firmwares had reduce the latency. Still there but flyable, maybe not racing.
Really wish Eachine would have used the same diopter holding design that the Skyzones have. I have a +7 with astigmatism script so their focus wouldn't help for me. I'm still using my 4 year old Skyzone 02v+ and Im a DJI hold out. Really have high hopes for the Bytefrost, hope they iron their system out and release it soon.
According to Fatshark, the BF system won't be released until Q2 2021 (at the earliest).
How does the DVR on the EV300O compare to the Orqa's?
I don't know, I've never tried the Orqa's.
What is your eye rx? Mine is -4 and I have to fly without contacts in on my 02c goggles or else I see double screens. I talked to an optometrist and he said to go in the positive direction (+2 or +4 inserts) to even it out with contacts in. Most normal people can see the image fine but he said +2 may be a good compromise so both myself and others could use it without seeing double.
Does that seem right?
I'm around a -6 but you may have other issues and your eyes are probably a lot different from mine so the only way you'll know is if you try these out.
are you near or far sighted? Stuff is blurry farther away or the opposite?
I'm near sighted. The gist of what he told me was that my contacts are 'encouraging' my eyes to go out, so it makes it harder to go inwards and form the single image. If I wanted to fly with the contacts in, the positive ones should help offset the encouragement.
Just wondering if someone else had done this as the custom lenses are expensive.

Yes, they are very good. I now use the SKY04X goggles as my daily driver. It's the same with slightly upgraded screens.

I've switched to the SKY04x mainly because of the higher res screen. Otherwise it's the same.
Are you having regular video side to side sliding video problems with your Eachine 300O?
No. But if you have a strong VTX very close within about 3 feet, it has trouble locking on to the signal. Move further away and it will lock on.

Yes, screen quality is the same, just difference in FOV and resolution.

I ended up with the SKY04X googles with a second Rapid Mix module and they perform excellent.

Yeah, then these will offer better focus adjustment. It's impossible to predict the future unfortunately. You might get these, and the next day something better will come out. Murphy's Law says this will happen.
New to hobby - is it safe to assume Eachine has one of the best dvr systems out there? Want a simple way to get solid dvr footage for TH-cam videos (when not using the insta 360 go).
More proof is found with eachine’s proprietary dvr in the sky’s...

No, but if you are, do the firmware update and run it in diversity mode. Certain combinations of VTX and camera can cause issues and it's the same one on Rapidfire as well.

I clicked on your EachineEV3000 link and the comments left by others seem to suggest the Eachine customer support is not very good and one said they were still waiting for a firmware update.
If possible, would really appreciate yo sharing what your user experience is like from Eachine.

Regarding customer service, you do have to lower your expectations. Communication is via email and response times are slower than fatshark. Also, because of the language barrier, unless you can clearly communicate your issues in writing and also with photos, their staff may not think the problem is severe or may not think there is a problem. However, if there truly is a factory defect, they should be able to help you. If you want Fatshark level of customer service, you just have to pony up the extra cash for their goggles. That's what that extra cost goes into.
Regarding the firmware update, I'm still waiting for the DVR firmware update to fix a frame dropping issue. I discussed this in the video. It's not a big deal though and I'm sure they will make it available soon.
My ev800d dvr have frame drops on 1 out of 4 flights. Anyone knows what causes this, it’s quite annoying as it occurs more and more frequent.
Try a different microSD card and also format it in the DVR through the menu system.

would be awesome to have a combo FPV and VR headset. The new Oculus Quest 2's resolution and FOV are great...
Digitizing the analog video would introduce latency and Facebook's VR is a walled garden, so don't expect any support from them in such a project.

Do you know if that 4 degrees difference in FOV is a big difference from the ev200d? The EV200d are 42 degrees, EV300o are 38 degrees. I would love a better focus for my eyes as I wear reading glasses and ev200d are just about focused for me as is but not perfect. A sharper image would really help. But I'd hate to lose a lot of FOV and I kinda like the EV200d in general. TIA
For me, I find goggles with a narrower FOV to have an overall sharper image.

Albert I'm trying to format my SD card for the 300O googles it is asking when formatting to press ok where is the ok button.
Its the same button you use to select or enter. If you entered the menu, use that same button to confirm.

The red goggles are from the same China corporation . There very smart business people . They great there competitors against themselves to capture the market majority . Its am old fortune 500 close door tactic .
I'm waiting for my EV300O to be delivered. The IPD is what steered me away from Skyzone. I need a min 72. Several HDO2 reviews mentioned eye lashes touching the lens. Also did not like the HDO2's DVR. I spent a month reading reviews and selected the EV300O.
what about Orqa?
@@M.TTT. I did watch a couple Orqa reviews. For that money I'd consider jumping to a DJI system. Someday maybe an open digital standard will emerge, and the technology will shrink to allow it to be used on smaller quads, but until then I've decided to stay analog for a few years.

Did you check the latency? I would not expect any fixes out of them for frame drops...
Sadly I won't ever be buying Eachine again after the way they treated those of us who purchased the EV300 with its horrid latency issue..

Sadly they got ripped off their 3D FPV system due to the lack of market interests - found out after I spoke to one of their Chinese staff yesterday. Now I don’t know what to do with my EV300O since I can only run the SCAM302 camera with my old Sky02s 😭
