    Skyzone x2 seemed better at range but rapid beat it with interference. Just guessing by video.
    Only thing I like about the 4 antennas is patch antenna pointing different directions . So higher gain antenna covering wider angle

    Thanks for another great review Gal. Throughout the video like @ 6:39 (look at white pole at 3 o-clock in right side center) I'm seeing the SteadyView quadversity presenting much better contrast detail especially with seeing wires at 6:40 where at 6:41 you can't even see the 3rd wire with the RapidFire. Very impressive distances being achieved on 25mw and shows in some situations the extra two antennas could avoid a crash and a long walk.

    • @KremerFPV
      @KremerFPV  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi, thanks Captain!
      The Caddx Ratel V2 is a great camera - I'm just not 100% sure that you are not going to encounter issues when using it with the Skyzone goggles. They had some colors issues and they (Skyzone) might have already fixed it in a firmware update. Unfortunately I do not have these googles anymore so I can't confirm if the latest firmware update fixes this issue or not.
      As far as I know though - it shouldn't have a problem with the Razor Mini so maybe you can just go for this camera instead :-)

    Hey Gal- great review as always. So much time and effort. I do have a question about the Steady View receiver. Does it need to be calibrated when it’s new? If so- how is that done. Mine doesn’t get very good reception- especially when my drone is close by. I’m using a long circular polarized antenna and a pick patch antenna. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Gal

    Great test and review as always my friend! More and more I need to get a set of those 300O's to replace my old Aomway Commander V1S's

    • @noforyoutubepremium3108
      @noforyoutubepremium3108 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I have those old goggles too! They have served me well. With the DJI V2 digital FPV goggles rumored to be released soon, I highly recommend not buying into a not too long to be dead analog technology! I've saved my money and am ready to buy digital when the V2's comes out. With the close to year ago leak, from the Jan. 2020 consumer elections show, saying DJI is coming out with a 20x20mm AIO DIGITAL single board option that will retail for around $50, buying analog seems like a total waste of money. After those two releases I believe analog will completely die and be gone in 2, at most 3 years.
      I have a ton of experience dealing with newly emerging technologies, because I was in the electronics industry for well over 30 years. Analog will die. What happens is more and more digital products hit the market and manufactures see sales of analog dwindle. They then slowly but surely stop producing it because sales sag, and products don't sell fast enough to warrant keeping them around and producing more. So they discontinue it. Happens all the time. Thousands of times over my career. It will definitely happen to analog FPV, without a doubt! So, buying into a dead end technology is a short term, but very expensive proposition! 😩 🕊️
      For nearly the same amount of money you'll be able to buy the V2 digital goggles! People sometimes complain that it's not the goggles that are too expensive, but the "Air Unit", but with that 20x20mm AIO digital board on the way, that won't be the case anymore. Neither will equipping micro quads and who0ps with digital! So, my friend, think very, very hard about whether you want to throw money at a soon to be antiquated technology. Me, I haven't been spending hardly anything on analog products this entire year! Certainly not over $100. I truly think both of these new digital products will be released by Springtime. 🤔😎🤘
      Happy New Year! 😁

      Depending on the price, you might want to get the SKY04X as they feature a higher resolution screen, which makes them a better option in case you will decide to go for the Shark Byte system.

    • @jeffpv
      @jeffpv 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@KremerFPV That's a great point, too, actually, and yes, the shark byte system has my eye so far, as better cameras seem to be coming out for it. I also prefer the analogue-like breakup of that system, rather than the blackout at range of the DJI system!

    On range the rapidfire dropped out before the steadyview o_O I just ordered a Sky04x because I'm neither happy with the HDO2 touching my eyelashes nor with the orqa because of the barrel distortion / tunnel view. From what I saw the Sky04x have the better image quality. Can't wait till they arrive!

    I too have those old Aomway goggles.
    So, my friends, think very, very hard about whether you want to throw money at a soon to be antiquated technology. Me, I haven't been spending hardly anything on analog products this entire year! Certainly not over $100. I truly think both of these new digital products will be released by Springtime. 🤔😎🤘 The only reason they aren't here already is the pandemic, and the way it has slowed sales with so many people out of work or struggling and spending way less on none essentials. Now that a vaccine is here, I believe new excitement will follow!!!
    Happy New Year! 😁

  • @francisdaoust5862
    @francisdaoust5862 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Why you did not put both patch on the same reciever and both omni on the other reciver. I belive it is the best way for image quality. If 1 reciever have a patch and a omni, when you will fligth outside the rage of 1 antenna, the reciever will not be able to mix the signal. With the 2 patchs in the same direction, the reciver will be able to match both signal and get you a better image.

    Steady view is not worthy. Me and another youtuber have discovered there is a major manufacturing flaw that skyzone refuses to help with. I had two of them with this problem. If you get a good receiver (or were sent one for review) you are all set. Otherwise you are screwed with extreme ghosting due to some sort of cross interference, and color blowout on on a regular basis. I had to purchase a 35 dollar AKK receiver to make sure I am not insane and guess what? Issues are gone! Stay away from steadyview!
