Hey Joe! Did they add an actual SPARE TIRE for the hybrid yet?? If not, then NO SALE for a hybrid vehicle that will leave you stranded when you get a flat. That’s not worth it no matter how high your MPG’s are!!
Yes, I wonder what people do when they have a flat that can't be fixed with the silly Toyota repair kit. I guess you have to get it hauled to a tire shop, since a towtruck driver isn't going to have a spare for it either. We bought a new Corolla Hybrid Infrared last year and I had no idea there would be no spare. The spare well has a small electrical component mounted right in the middle of it (I assume it's for the rear motor), so I can't put the spare that I bought in it. That tire now takes up half the trunk space. Why couldn't they at least mount the electrical thingy somewhere else in the trunk? Sucks.
@@blaaaaaaaaahify Yes, according to our dealer's service manager it's the same in the US: front-wheel-drive Corolla Hybrids do come with a spare. The first time I took our AWD for service, he didn't believe me when I told him it didn't have one. As I said in my earlier comment, I think it's because they mount that small rear-motor electrical component right in the middle of the spare tire well, rendering it useless.

Joe, I like your videos very much. I have one suggestion - you are rating cars in many categories but I think you are forgetting one - Practicality (user friendliness, easy to operate, efficiency, simplicity). "Simple" is not a bad word, it actually means "I don't have to make too much efforts to operate this car". Car should serve the owner and not vice versa. Nowadays car manufacturers try to load cars with so much technology which could be causing driver distraction. For example: to adjust digital controls while driving the driver has to take his/her eyes off the road. And for us, baby boomers, we have to put reading glasses on. Is this safe? In winter, can buttons be managed with gloves on? What happened to good ole analog knobs? I drive 2013 Toyota Prius Wagon, I can fit 10 ft long wood boards inside with closed trunk. I loaded a twin mattress inside with closed trunk. That's what I call a "Practical car". Not to mention, it is a hybrid (good on gas) and it uses only regular gas. Three people already approached me on parking lot if I am selling it. Why? Because Toyota stopped producing it in 2015. Another important factor - seat height above ground. This is main problem for us, older and overweight folks. Seat height too low or too high is a torture to get in or out. Perfect seat height has Subaru Outback. Toyota has only one model with good height - this one, Corolla Cross - but it is little too small. I wish Toyota starts cooperate with Subaru - installing Toyota hybrid engines into Outback. That would be car of my dreams.

Yo Joe if u in Chicago holler i just touched down yesterday.. lets link up... I'm nationwide just like u Joe
Sucks.
@@rwalkenhorstsounds like you should research a vehicle before you buy it?
@@mister_dave1184 Thank you mister_condescending.
It does in EU. So FWD 2.0 Dynamic Hybrid gets you a spare tire @@rwalkenhorst
That color is sexi but the flat black I’m not feelin it
The Corolla Cross is good for very small kids. I want the RAV4 Hybrid when it gets a redesigned in 2025/26.
Whispers coming out of Cambridge assembly plant is late 2025 early 2026. It’s long overdue for the RAV4.
Dude is fantastic car I own RAV 4 2022 after the face lift and I love this car absolutely amazing behaviour: economical and also strong enough engine. I have two boys teens and with the lady still comfortable for four family members.😊
Corolla Cross is too big for me.
@@yourwisecousinjoe8841 Why don't you consider the Corolla sedan. Does Toyota still make the Yaris in the US?
@@Irishmanbikes I love small SUV. hopefully Toyota brings Yaris Cross or CH-R back to USA. But I doubt it. People here like big car for some reason. I don't get it.
Best suv for the money
This looks terrific. I'd be curious to know if it has Android Auto.
It does.
that has nice face....the regular toyota cross has an angry front appeal because of the shape of the grill
Is the CVT reliable?
Toyota Corolla cross in general is One of the most reliable car you can get same with RAV4 plus the chance of big repair it's about 11% so pretty low plus RAV4 and Corolla cross is the cheapest cars to maintain in there class you can check caredge they have alot of info there like maintenance cost of span of 10 years etc
I agree needs a HUD.
i have my own corolla cross hybrid and I've never noticed the easter eggs 💀
Great suv for the money.
Great little vehicle……….good mpg, good value for the money 👍. I agree, styling looks better than Rav4
I'm getting one for my 17yr daughter in White XSE. Joe u should be in Chicago for AutoShow. Got 2 Portillo's Hot Dogs and a Chocolate Cake Shake for u!!
This has so many Easter eggs. It's a good looking vehicle, I like the design language. I'd be worried about acceleration.
Any plans to review the 2024 Mazda 3 sedan, Joe? Thanks for all you do!
I like the car hate that color though.. Wonder if you can get a heated steering wheel with it not sure about that
Wear gloves
