Happy Friday everyone! Both of these two vehicles total nearly 800,000 new sales last year. Which one would you choose? Hint: there isn't really a wrong answer 😉
There is a problem regarding fuel consumption claims. In the video, you said, "The trip computer says..." Both of Toyotas consistently and *significantly overstate fuel economy.* I don't know if Honda also lies. If Honda's gauge is accurate, but Toyota understates consumption by 10%, the Honda may or may not have really lost. Or maybe Honda lies even worse...? Fuel consumption must be measured manually.
I tested both vehicles before buying any, RAV 4 driving felt solid but heavy to accelerate and found CRV way smoother. Considered that and its interior space to make my decision, now I am getting between 43~45 MPG daily with my CRV. Both vehicles are good, just choose whichever you feel more comfortable with, to each its own. #EnjoyDriving #DriveSafely.

That's what I noticed too. The honda feel smoother. Maybe I'm used to my honda because I notice the difference right away when driving my sister's rav4
@Jazz16-we1qc doesn't sound like you drove the hybrid. It sounds like you drove the regular ICE only version. The hybrid version of the RAV4 is not clunky at all, very smooth and immediately responsive because of the electric motors and doesn't feel like a regular transmission at all because it doesn't shift because it is an ECVT.
@Jazz16-we1qc I owned a 2020 RAV4 hybrid. It was a great car and very responsive and never had issues like you are stating. And a lot of people agree with with me on this since it outsells everything in it's category. Maybe you drove a lemon who knows. I'm sure the new Camry feels better since it's the newer hybrid system and I'm sure will go into the next RAV4 generation. Some people don't want a camry because they need more size in the RAV4.
It does. Toyota fans have to pretend exterior designs don’t matter much to them because Toyota isn’t as good at it. I prefer their interiors over Honda’s though.

And this is why I will be keeping my 2007 Honda CRV 2.2 ICDTI with 425000km. It STILL gets 30mpg on a combined cycle. But due for a major service. When i was deciding between these 2 a friend of mine swore the CRV was the correct choice and i almost listened til i drove both and decided on a Rav Prime without any 2nd thought's. My friend is a Honda sales rep so i get why he would be biased but there's just no comparison to the Prime. It has a much nicer looking exterior and is MUCH faster however i did like the CRV interior slightly better. Both are very smooth roomy and quiet. After driving the Prime for 2 years now im very glad i didnt get the CRV. Gas mileage is about 39mpg w a heavy foot in sport mode and you can get 43 miles electric also and is extremely fun to drive. If looking to buy a Rav i would highly recommend getting a hybrid xse or Prime xse but even the Prime se is great if you dont mind cloth and a mediocre sound system.
You must have drove a low end Rav 4. The Prime def doesn't feel cheep and blowns any CRV out the water all around except for interior. Rav 4 needs better interior on the lower end models specifically.
Since I hold my car for long time, I actually like build that is mature. Most design and engineering issues can be resolved. After learning RAV 4 hybrid technology and its maturity, I replaced my 2004 CRV with RAV 4 hybrid.
I can easily get 40+ mpg in my crv sport touring in the city. Even for hilly terrain I’m getting north of 35mpg local. For highways - 60-70s I can get high 30s… 75+ is low 30s.
@ you can check Fuelly and see for yourself. It’s not RAV4 fuel economy, but the average is not off by about 2 -3 mpg, I don’t remember the difference, but it’s not that much
Great unbiased review , you do your homework and it shows . Smooth delivery also . You should be proud of your excellent videos you put on the TH-cam.👍 . I own a 24 crv hybrid touring and have 3k miles and so far i like it . Ave mpg 41.7
I wish Honda would offer a 360 camera, ventilated seats, and a panoramic sunroof. All of these are offered on CRVs in other countries but not in the US.
The Honda has a better front end, more interior space, and drives much better. The Toyota has a better rear end, interior design and technology equipped is more modern.
Rav4 is much likable compared to CRV, i don't know why I tends to like more Toyotas anyways, never did I watched much detail presentation but you made it so pro. Thanks. Watching here in Manila, Philippines 🇵🇭
Honda has always been stingy with techs on the CR-V, Pilot, and Civic to save the sales for Acura lineup. 12.3" is pretty much the industry standard. 360 cam should be an option for other vehicle besides the Pilot.
Honda is having a crazy time with interiors lol the CR-V doesn't have a fully digital gauge cluster screen, but then the Civic has it, then the Accord has a big infotainment screen but the Pilot doesn't, it's like they didn't update them all at the same time for some reason.
Drove both and CR-V just feels much more solid and refined. We got a 23 ex-l been great in the past 13k miles. Very nice interior materials and very solid near German feel to it. Great driving character too. Very stable at high speed and handles really well all around. Toyota just feels cheaper and flimsy but has more reliable non-hybrid drivetrain
AWD vs E-AWD is a big difference. Driving in hurricane areas and water saturated areas. Ground clearance is a big deal 8.6. The HondaCRV became my favorite vehicle. I have driven both. They need to update the hybrid RAV4 the styling is dated.
Rav 4 for me, I like the CRV looks great, but if it had a panoramic roof, digital cluster, and brown interior I might consider it, but that’s not fantastic gas mileage for a newer hybrid, Honda needs to step up their game👌💯
I drove both these along with a few others. They were great options but I went for a 2025 Tucson hybrid, mainly for the tech, features and imo best interior in the segment.
I had test drove both recently. The thing that stop me from buying a new 2025 CRV or a new Pilot was that the rear seat shakes when you are driving on bumpy roads. If you want bad rear seat comfort for your kids, get the CRV. If you want seats that don’t shake, get a new 2024 RAV4
I mean the rear seats shake at the upper part of the seat where we rest our back torso . it shakes my spine a lot while driving . No body roll in the crv but lots of roll in the RAV4. I still would buy a rav4 today. Both Need less road noise and comfortable seats all around. The crv front seats are better than the rav4 but I can’t have my rear passengers uncomfortable if you care about your passengers. The crv drives better only in the front seats.
@@Louisana4236unfortunately I traded in my 2024 Rav4 hybrid for 2025 Crv hybrid after watching all these youtube reviews but I’m regretting now. Not very happy with the purchase for multiple reasons. Ofcourse there are few good things about the CRV but overall not so happy.
Before I will say. Both are very competitive, both are a must buy, both are reliable, one of them may have something more than the other vice or versa. But overall. Both of them are the best selling vehicles and still is. In conclusion, RAV4 > CR-V by far ❤️🔥❤️🔥🤟🏼🤟🏼🤟🏼
I checked out both vehicles in great detail. The RAV4 hybrid is much louder, has less comfortable seats, and uses far cheaper interior materials. Plus, its exterior is not nearly as modern as the CRV. Frankly, I really didn't like the angry RAV4 front grill look as well. Surprisingly, for around $40k, you get more for your buck with the CRV. Honda does not nickle and dime you the way Toyota does. Toyota substantially adds to the sticker price in various packages as well as many other add-ons. Overall, based on my test drives, I found the CRV to be quieter, way more refined, and more comfortable. The CRV has the better transmission as well, with smoother gear shifts, and it doesn't give off loud engine and road noises with heavy acceleration. Consumers Reports did find the RAV4 achieves about 1 mpg better, barely any difference. Without a RAV4 update, which is desperately needed, as it looks and feels very outdated, I recently bought the CRV AWD Sport L Hybrid. It easily averages 40 to 44 mpg driving about 60 miles to work each day in a mix of mostly city but also highway driving, not bad! So far, I love the CRV! Go, Honda!
@tinhinnh I'm a Toyota guy. I still own two Toyota vehicles. When I went to select a RAV4, I was unimpressed with the apoplectic front grill, loud engine noise at highway speeds, and unadorned interior. In addition to the quieter and larger cabin, I really preferred the more comfortable, well-appointed leather seats that recline in the rear with the CRV. Thus, I purchased one. I have nothing against Toyotas, I just agree with most car experts: after carefully looking at and test driving both vehicles, the CRV Hybrid is superior in most respects, not all, to the RAV4 Hybrid. Next year could be different as both are expected to be redesigned. Before commenting, test drive both vehicles on the highway, please.
I just rented a RAV4 LE AWD and I was shocked by how loud the engine was. Once you settle into a cruise it’s very quiet but any hard acceleration elicits a loud rough groan…. I wonder if the upper trims have more sound deadening.
That's why it can get such good gas mileage as it's part of the car... The ecvt gearbox is always in the most efficient rev range, which is why it makes a groaning noise
Also fucked up that neither of us get the panoramic roof in the CRV, but they do in the UK, since 2005 every CRV has been available with a panoramic roof. What a stupid decision Honda made….
I was in the market for a hybrid crossover last year, and ended up with the Hyundai Tucson Hybrid It was just much smoother and more refined than the droning Toyota, and max MPG wasn't the deciding factor for me. It got 34 MPG in everyday driving and had an almost EV level of smoothness. And it had acres of torque. The 2026 Rav4 may be revealed at this year's LA Auto Show
As a owner of a 2022 honda crv hybrid touring & 2023 toyota rav 4 hybrid xle you are spot-on on the differences on each. We actually also prefer the rav 4.
I’m currently driving a 2020 RAV4 Hybrid XLE, build quality is good, fuel efficiency is also good, spare tire great. However, with a very small back seat space, an annoyingly coarse engine under just about every acceleration and a useless electric AWD system… I’ll sacrifice the 2 or 3 mpg for a bigger back seat, a vastly more refined hybrid/engine combo, a much more confident driving and way more torque/traction to the rear wheels. Definitely looking at the updated CR-V a year from now.
The interests won’t be any good for any new car now, so I will keep your 2020 and myself I got a 2020 Toyota that I have had for 4 years with only 33k miles.
Wait until the new RAV4 comes out perhaps next year. It will receive the new gen 2.5 hybrid from the updated Camry which many journalists have noted to be more refined and even more powerful yet still as efficient as this prior generation.
I think Toyota is sticking with electric AWD for their hybrid offerings, and Honda seems to remain on the mechanical route in this particular application. The RAV4 performs poorly in inclement snowy conditions. I also believe the CR-V has better suspension tuning overall, ride quality and better traction performance.
Both SUVs are great. I like the CRV a lot. Both exteriors are great. The RAV4 interior looks more eye-catching. I think for the CRV they could add just a few touches of a contrast color.
Love both, can't go wrong with either. But this Rav4 is kinda old, need to see, Can't wait to see the new Rav4 hope it's similar to Land Cruiser style that will be badass
I have 5k mi on my '24 CR-V hybrid FWD sport L and I'm easily getting over 40mpg in the city. Highway depends on the speed, but easily 38mpg at 60-70mph and 32 at 75-80mph. Meeting or exceeding epa ratings.
Once you get up over 100 klicks per hour it won’t get rated mileage but with mixed highway and city I am exceeding rated mpg on the crv but I am an old guy and generally don’t drive to much over the speed limit. Also I haven’t driven it in winter and I expect once it starts getting cold it might not get rated mpg but only time will tell I suppose. The worst mileage I got was on a trip where a lot time driving at 110 kil per hour or 68 mph though it wasn’t bad for the size and weight of the vehicle.
@@meshail59 I’ve rented the cx-50 and own the crv hybrid sport touring. To me, the cx-50 didn’t live up to the driving hype. The crv and cx-50 are very similar when it comes to sporty driving feel. I might even prefer the cr-v because the steering feel is better. While the Mazda may be lighter and so more tossable, The Mazda steering feel has this weird sudden transition between its simulated force feedback, and actual force feedback. If you turn the wheel with the car not moving, it’s really obvious and frankly a bit jarring. The interior of the cr-v is also nicer, more elegant and more modern with MUCH better ergonomics- that center dash in the cx-50 is the worst thing ever
So I know I may be the minority here. But I just got myself a 2025 Honda CRV Sport-L Hybrid AWD, and I am loving it…it’s my first new car and I upgraded from a 2006 Ram 1500 ST lol so it’s a bit of a change in drive from a V8 to a hybrid
Similar mpg, but the Honda is just built and looks far better, I learned after test driving both. I get over 40 mpg in my CRV going to work. RAV4 is oddly loud when you drive it on the highway. No, thank you!
For me the crv is a no brainer - as a pseudo car enthusiast - I just can’t stand the steering feel, the suspension, and the lack of fake shifts in the rav4… just feels like an appliance and the softer suspension actually makes me car sick if I’m a passenger… I don’t mind the lack of tech in the crv - I think the smoother power train, suspension and steering really makes up for it. The way the crv rides really is a revelation in this segment I went in not ever wanting a hybrid - but the simulated shifts really made me not mind having one at all and loving it! Especially because that was the only way to get the top end features
@ there’s nothing wrong with the rav4 being an appliance - that’s why it sells so well. It appeals to the masses - most of whom don’t know the difference between a nice driving vehicle and a not so nice driving one. Most people just care that it gets you from point A to B reliably. Vehicles sold is also a function of supply and demand. The rav4 prime is much more expensive than a cr-v sport - so different class all together. That being said a driving experience isn’t about 0-60. It just needs to be fast enough - I don’t really care about 0-60. Most of driving pleasure comes from engagement, which the cr-v outperforms the rav-4 via a better and better tuned chassis, steering feel, and suspension. For example, I’d much rather drive a Honda fit with manual transmission than an automatic Porsche. Our family has 3 cars - a model 3, a civic si, and a cr-v hybrid. The Si is obviously the most fun and engaging and what I prefer driving, the cr-v is 2nd, and the model 3 (the fastest straight line vehicle) is last. Reason being its steering feel isn’t as good, and there’s no soul and character without a geared ICE screaming in your face with audio frequencies that are linearly linked to wheel speed.
@67keyakaren68 same thing i was thinking😂 I drove a CRV top of the line model and literally only thing better than the Rav4 Hybrid XSE and/or Prime SE was interior in my opinion i liked the CRV a tad more inside otherwise everything else was Rav 4 and especially looks, mpg and speed! The Rav 4 is a very impressive vehicle (excluding gas models)
Tested drove both suvs in upper trim. Liked them both but was expecting more from Honda CRV. Ended up with limited rav4 mostly for comfort and interior. Also liked ventilated seats, spare tire, passenger 8 way electric seat which Toyota advertises as 4 way power seat. Anyway both would be good choices.
The crv is like a new release game that needs a patch from day 1. I would wait a few years until they carry over all the missing/outdated features before considering it.
I like the RAV4 overall, but the CRV's styling is superior and if Honda put in a good size spare tire, then it would've make this comparison a little bit closer. But still, I much prefer the Toyota's 4WD system with the electric moto driving the rear wheels.
I am surprised that many people don't care about an actual mechanical AWD vs toy-like (40hp?) electric motor for a real axle in a heavy car, which barely ever works even when needed. Also so many people care about panoroof (I just don't get why, if there is a choice I will always choose a regular roof even without a sunroof (how often do you really use it?) What happened with all the people that parked cars without a single camera and now one camera is not enough, considering the parking sensors and emergency braking systems etc... Fuel economy - well, try getting a Toyota (a year of waiting time if not more) and forget about MSRP - there is your fuel economy difference if it actually exists, depends how you drive it (use the B mode or those paddles more often) . Ventilated seats...just don't care, I prefer not to freeze my private parts and how hot can it get in a car with a climate control or you drive for 10 hours straight every day? Spare tire - c'mon, really...when was the last time you got a flat without a single soul around without a cell phone in case you don't have one, it's not an off-road truck so don't tell me you got stuck in woods...buy a 4Runner or Pilot (or at least not a hybrid city SUV) if you plan on going off-roading. Digital display - I will always choose analog if possible. This is urban/city SUV which is great for family traveling. Ride quality, mechanical AWD, overall interior (where you spend most of the time) quality and fit&finish, rear doors open almost 90 degrees - that is more than enough for me to chose CRV. But it all comes down to a personal preference and taste I guess. For some people many things are looked at as a lack of feature/tech/options, but for others it's a big plus, depends what you want and prefer. Thank you for a great video, both cars are great, choose yours!
Another reviewer said that CRV pumps in the gear shift audio only in Sport mode. In Normal mode, it doesn't do that. That would explain this reviewer's low gas mileage in the CRV.
Strange question....but the RAV4 looks like it has a lower headliner than the CRV, as well as a more angular front door opening....how is getting in and out of each vehicle and head room once you're seated for anyone who owns these SUV's.
I believe that is a 2024 rav4. It has the hybrid emblem. The 2025 hasn’t hit the dealers yet. It also gets the new Hybrid emblem to replace the one shown. That’s basically the only change to the 2025 though
Love your reviews, but this one I sensed a bit of bias 😅. The extra cargo space in the CRV doesn’t matter, but the few tenths of a second faster 0-60 of the Rav4 is a plus? I would think that space is much more of a real-world benefit than a few tenths at wide open throttle. Both are nice, but the nod for me goes to the CRV. Better driving dynamics, no embarrassing drone when accelerating, more engaging feel in day to day, along with more space and better styling. The mechanical AWD is also a plus up here in Wisconsin.
water in engine oil. was wondering about engine temps. if you need to get a motor up to temps to rid it of water, how long would this take with hybrids? would you need to run an engine a special way to accomplish this???????
with all that money for the toyota, they couldnt put hydraulic hood lifts on like the less expensive honda? come on TOYOTA i expect way more attention to detail than that after all these years. Also, that lcd on top of the center console is blaah. integration into the console is mych more appealing and adds a much more fluid flow to the interior, instead of an interruption when looking at it. interior color Nutmeg, LOVE IT! the shifter knob, LOVE it! not deal breakers, but definitely points off when considering. i wont however be buying a honda crv ever again. direct injection is an automatic deal breaker for me across the board. not dealing with the carbon build up on that intake valve that never gets cleaned. do your homework people. dont just go off the looks. happy hunting

Driven both. Chose the CRV, twice (yep bought 2). More refined all around. The RAV 4 feels like a cheaper vehicle in all respects.
You must have drove a low end Rav 4. The Prime def doesn't feel cheep and blowns any CRV out the water all around except for interior. Rav 4 needs better interior on the lower end models specifically.
@@robglobal1the prime is a different class and shouldn’t be compared sine the crv doesn’t have a PHEV option
I don’t doubt you, but many aren’t getting RAV4 economy with the Honda.
Cleary for me ,Toyota engineers think differently. Huge salute and respect. I hv a corolla and a civic.
Better front end??? With that ugly silver piece on the bumper??? You're kidding, right??? I agree with the other stuff. But where's the spare tire?
I am using Rav 4 since 2009 and drove 250 k miles and I switched to 2023 Rav 4. I ‘m extremely happy with reliability and performance
CR-v looks smart!😂
RAV4 looks tough😂
CR-V's front is tough to look at, especially with the crappy silver piece on the bumper.
I prefer the sharper looks of the RAV👍🏽
Rav4 is much likable compared to CRV, i don't know why I tends to like more Toyotas anyways, never did I watched much detail presentation but you made it so pro. Thanks. Watching here in Manila, Philippines 🇵🇭
Honda has always been stingy with techs on the CR-V, Pilot, and Civic to save the sales for Acura lineup. 12.3" is pretty much the industry standard. 360 cam should be an option for other vehicle besides the Pilot.
yet acura is also way behind on tech. no hybrids,
CRV looks better and sounds better cause of v-tec, but Toyota is faster, more efficient and probably more reliable
Toyota feels like tin. Cheap next to honda
@@Mrtellitlikeitisits a lot older than the crv duh
@@tinhinnh doesn’t matter

The bots are stupidly fast at this 😂
In the 2026 Rav4, expect the Camry's updated powertrain to carry over, so 225/232 HP, and EPA MPG should rise to around 45. Another advantage
Since the RAV4 has standard AWDe, that bumps it up to 232hp like the AWD Camry.
I loved my 2024 CRV Touring... unfortunately the criminals loved it too, so now i'm looking to see if I want to go back to the CRV or go with a RAV4.
Crv by far. It’s roomier, better to look at, easier to live with, far more refined, far better to drive, far quieter and far better quality as well
Except head gasket failure on the crv is quite high
can't go wrong with Toyota's hybrid system.
Shake you mean the bodyroll? Or the seats itself are not fit properly?
Just wanted to say I’ve been watching your stuff for years and you do excellent work 👍
Before I will say.

Go, Honda!
Great assessment, we have both, and I prefer to drive the CRV.
Agree with your opinions abt the CRV hybrid being much more refined vs RAV4 Hybrid!
you sound like a crv owner… oh wait
Team Honda!
Boo. Team Toyota
Team "Both"😁
I just rented a RAV4 LE AWD and I was shocked by how loud the engine was. Once you settle into a cruise it’s very quiet but any hard acceleration elicits a loud rough groan…. I wonder if the upper trims have more sound deadening.
The gas models are Loud. I own a 2022 gas XLE AWD. Also owned a XSE (hybrid). Someone ran a stop sign and totaled it.
The hybrid is 10x better.
That's why it can get such good gas mileage as it's part of the car... The ecvt gearbox is always in the most efficient rev range, which is why it makes a groaning noise
@@sersolo3112he rented a gas model not the hybrid. I can confirm the gas models engine noise is louder.
Unfortunately it's fucked up that we don't get the Pana sunroof in rav4 Canada.
Also fucked up that neither of us get the panoramic roof in the CRV, but they do in the UK, since 2005 every CRV has been available with a panoramic roof. What a stupid decision Honda made….
this dude gives one hell of a complete review
I was in the market for a hybrid crossover last year, and ended up with the Hyundai Tucson Hybrid
It was just much smoother and more refined than the droning Toyota, and max MPG wasn't the deciding factor for me.
One of the best on-time review, thanks!
I love this both!but i go with rav4 simple but hot looking😊
Very thorough video comparison, thank you very much! I plan to test drive both and find which feels better personally before moving forward!
Did my boy just say gangster lean? lol
Lmao did!
I heard that 😂 Loved it 😂
yeah man, Im pretty love the back seat of my CRV. Its so roomy and comfortabe
If you want to have a conversation about better vehicles, CRV is the winner.
If you hate your passengers and dont wanna hear shit, RAV4 all the way
False information..at least speaking on the Hybrid and Prime models they're very quiet.
Great command of the tech specs!!
I’m currently driving a 2020 RAV4 Hybrid XLE, build quality is good, fuel efficiency is also good, spare tire great. However, with a very small back seat space, an annoyingly coarse engine under just about every acceleration and a useless electric AWD system…
I’ll sacrifice the 2 or 3 mpg for a bigger back seat, a vastly more refined hybrid/engine combo, a much more confident driving and way more torque/traction to the rear wheels.
After these reviews, you should definitely do the luxury division of these companies like the Lexus and whatever Honda's luxury version is.
biggest issue imo - no spare tire in the CRV. I think the CRV looks like a little Volvo - it's a great looking car.
Good review. Excellent!
I'm guessing that if you replace the tires of the Toyota Rav4 it may help with road noise?
It's not the tires on the RAV4. The engine is very loud. I test drove both of them and decided to go with the CRV.
@@pigg20021what Rav did you drive? The engine on the hybrid and Prime are super quiet while still having a good amount of power.
I bought a passport trail sport for the same price as the CRV hybrid 🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️ I think I got a better deal in my opinion 😎😎 but that’s me !!!!
CRV looks better and drives better.
Both SUVs are great. I like the CRV a lot. Both exteriors are great. The RAV4 interior looks more eye-catching. I think for the CRV they could add just a few touches of a contrast color.
Great review! I've been looking at both of these. One thing you didn't mention was the heated steering wheel . The Toyota is only partly heated?
Love both, can't go wrong with either.
But this Rav4 is kinda old, need to see, Can't wait to see the new Rav4 hope it's similar to Land Cruiser style that will be badass
Lots of complaints that the CR-V hybrid is failing to hit its fuel economy estimates.
Your parents must be very very proud of you! Thank you for another great review ❤
interior and exterior, CR-V is a clear winner. but mechanically, RAV4 hybrids works really well in both city and hwy driving.
Good comparison review as usual. Would love these vehicles compared with Mazda 50 hybrid. 😊
If you are shopping PHEV or hybrid the RAV4 has the best design. Toyota has been the top design starting with the original Prius in 1997.
Why rav 4 is not re-designed again this year ?
The Rav4 is better because it gets better mpg and is faster.
Saved everyone 40 minutes
On paper this is true. Drive both and CRV is smoother and quieter. Always drive to compare before purchasing.
Similar mpg, but the Honda is just built and looks far better, I learned after test driving both. I get over 40 mpg in my CRV going to work. RAV4 is oddly loud when you drive it on the highway. No, thank you!
Also, more reliable and slightly better resale value. But I heard CRV has a smoother driving experience. Looking forward to the redesigned 2026 Rav4.
@@johncooper2790crv is a grandma car congrats
For me the crv is a no brainer - as a pseudo car enthusiast - I just can’t stand the steering feel, the suspension, and the lack of fake shifts in the rav4… just feels like an appliance and the softer suspension actually makes me car sick if I’m a passenger… I don’t mind the lack of tech in the crv - I think the smoother power train, suspension and steering really makes up for it. The way the crv rides really is a revelation in this segment
I went in not ever wanting a hybrid - but the simulated shifts really made me not mind having one at all and loving it! Especially because that was the only way to get the top end features
making up stuff i aee
@ I’m not, I test drove both, and this info is backed up by multiple car magazine reviews
@ Rav-4 outsells the cr-v. Rav-4 has a 300hp plug in prime with torque vectoring. CR-v is the true appliance
CRV looks better but I choose the RAV4 in general !👍
Tested drove both suvs in upper trim. Liked them both but was expecting more from Honda CRV. Ended up with limited rav4 mostly for comfort and interior. Also liked ventilated seats, spare tire, passenger 8 way electric seat which Toyota advertises as 4 way power seat. Anyway both would be good choices.
Who cares about the 2025 models. We want to know about the 2026 models that will be here soon.
The crv is like a new release game that needs a patch from day 1. I would wait a few years until they carry over all the missing/outdated features before considering it.
An important point for some, between the steering wheel and the driver's seat on the Toyota there is significantly more space than on the Honda
Is this 2024 or 25?
I like the RAV4 overall, but the CRV's styling is superior and if Honda put in a good size spare tire, then it would've make this comparison a little bit closer. But still, I much prefer the Toyota's 4WD system with the electric moto driving the rear wheels.
both vehicles are selling like hot cakes in my area, in your face chevy
Are the 2025 Rav 4 Hybrids out yet?
Another reviewer said that CRV pumps in the gear shift audio only in Sport mode. In Normal mode, it doesn't do that. That would explain this reviewer's low gas mileage in the CRV.
The road noise in the rav4 is pretty terrible
Totally agree. Lots of road and wind noise. Not a good vehicle for traveling for lots of hours interstate.
Strange question....but the RAV4 looks like it has a lower headliner than the CRV, as well as a more angular front door opening....how is getting in and out of each vehicle and head room once you're seated for anyone who owns these SUV's.
The crv has a smoother ride.
The Rav is FUGLY and the interior ergonomics are weird. CRV is the easy win all day.
I believe that is a 2024 rav4. It has the hybrid emblem.
The 2025 hasn’t hit the dealers yet. It also gets the new Hybrid emblem to replace the one shown.
That’s basically the only change to the 2025 though
that is a big negative. The 2026s will get the big changes.
@ the 2025 loses the hybrid badge that’s been in them. It gets the new hybrid badge per their press release.
I'd perfer the Rav4 Hybrid, it fits me & it's better than the CR-V
For the price, Both need an urgent redesign with more features and technology!
Still choosing the Honda CRV ❤
I’d go rav4 all day long. Limited Trim.
