    Miss Weiss described my own sister's experience with mainstream news/commentary media. One day, she came to me and said, "They continue to repeat lies and untruths. I know because I have researched this topic, and what they say aren't merely differences of opinion or perception. They are saying up is down."

      He puts "professional" "journalists" to shame as an interviewer. Notice how often he asks "Why?" when he knows perfectly well the answer. He's drawing her out, making her harden and specify her arguments. He's not assuming anything. That is a brilliant interview tactic.

      3 years ago I had posted that Jordan Peterson was one of the greatest thinkers of our time. 3 years later nothing has happened to change my mind from that.

  • @Pirateem11
    @Pirateem11 3 ปีที่แล้ว +90

    Dr. Peterson thank you so much for talking about the ongoing problems that threaten our Universities. I am a graduate student in Rhetoric and Composition and I am struggling because of the lack of free thinking going on in the classroom. Professors nowadays latch on to one viewpoint/narrative and use the same few articles by the same few writers to approach every problem in the discipline. If students try speak out against or challenge these narrow viewpoints/narratives, we face very real negative consequences in the department or institution. Free thinking and free speech are deeply threatened in Universities and not many people are speaking about how dangerous it is.

    I cannot get enough of Bari Weiss, Jordan, Douglas Murray, Andrew Sullivan. It is like refreshing waters running over my brain and soul. They enlighten us with their discourse and common sense analysis of what’s happening politically and culturally in the US and abroad. I am so grateful for each of them even when I have minor disagreements. I have been adrift with my political leanings after 2016. I have come to realize I am not a liberal but a centrist conservative. When did our culture change so drastically that we lack this kind of discourse and intelligent conversation?!!!!! I am totally convinced that it’s truly smarter to be listening to the people who are coming to your program Jordan and they will be saving themselves a lot of money and their agendas fighting against our families lives if we don’t completely get their agendas against our lives future generations anymore because their maybe highly educated people who are truly not willing to be really caring about people who are truly willing to be finding our own truth and grace and truth preaching truth instead of just blindly trusting everything that they are believing is for themselves instead of believing that we’ve been deliberately trying to be believing Christ Jesus words are our own lives freedom and faith for healing our lives and our families future! I have had some people who have been deceived themselves and telling me that it’s all about emptying out our minds and their lives are actually being destroyed by their agendas against our lives because our lives must be truly filled with God’s anointing and wisdom and discernment and faith for healing our lives and our families lives and not willing to be agreeable with their agendas for their empty heads and allowing demons to be taking their own desires for themselves to their lies and deception themselves!

We’re all praying God’s divine wisdom and discernment and faith for healing our lives from their liars and their compromising values and instead of offering their help for actually getting our messages out their trying to be stealing our messages and pretending they are doing their right things all along themselves! I love that she is truly willing to be telling people who are willing to be listening to the her and you all the truth and I’m right where you are and believing Christ Jesus is the one who truly is telling me that I’ve truly had to be doing this for years now and grace and truth preaching and wisdom and discernment and faith for God’s anointing and wisdom and going forward or backwards depending on what the people who are liars and manipulative people who are truly knowing their wrongs but not willing to be doing it!

      Totally disagree. Dr. Peterson is presenting from an academic perspective and has the practiced rigor of objective argument. He knows what he knows because of multitudinous scientific literature and the fact that his adopted hypotheses haven't yet been disproved; along with, his keen interest and personal observations and beliefs about the consequences of those observations and beliefs. Bari Weiss presents from a fundamental, personal and very deep belief system/understanding based on observation of current events. I found both to be extremely engaged and possessing VERY clear thoughts. If I had to pick a warrior for court, I'd pick Jordan. If I had to pick an inspirational leader for a battle or the second half of the football game, Bari would inspire the warriors on a fundamental, personal and spiritual level. Jordan could obviously do this too but it would be a an exercise for him. She knows what feels right, can make other people feel the same all without having scientific experiments/reviews/data to support her conclusion. Neither side here claims omniscience and both expressed a desire to remain open and ability to grow. So yeah, there is a difference in how ideas are argued but, NO-clarity of thought is not the difference. Both expressed their positions equally well in my opinion. I didn't even detect a perspective clash up to @2:00:50 when I started reading comments. Ms. Weiss seemed to be argumentative several times but only insofar as she was clarifying her vector of thought as opposed to the destination. Dr. Peterson is always a joy to listen to. Ms. Weiss is very disagreeable personality-wise but came across (at least to me) as genuine, forthright, caring and determined. I find no fault with either of them.

She has an obvious moral clarity, she’s very modest about her evident intelligence, and she’s clearly a force to be reckoned with. This was one of the most enjoyable interviews I have ever listened to , and I’ve enjoyed all of Jordan Peterson’s guests. This young woman is in a class of her own regarding the depth of journalistic malfeasance how she saw it, called it out, and taking it on. She’s right, there are judgements made constantly not only with writing and content, but what is good, moral, and having a quality life. None of it happens by accident. I’m glad she’s young, the world is better off with her in it. She’s also impressive for wanting to mentor those with talent stating that’s what she enjoys most. Many believe Dr. Peterson is Rudolf Steiner reborn. Dr. Ian Stevenson's research into 1000s of children who each remember their prior life essentially proves spirit governs genetics and we choose when and where to return, whether consciously or unconsciously. Intellectual or just highly educated? They both make simple mistakes where they fall into common false narratives without unpacking the truths. For example the crack/powder matter being racist. No one made black dealers sell the crack instead of the less risky lower punishment powder like the white dealers felt more comfortable doing. Blacks personally chose the more risky crack as a business decision for market domination with the better drug. The old tell a lie often enough and people people take it for truth. PC is insidious

They themselves knowingly took the higher risk because they wanted the business advantage of the better product. The black community leaders where the ones asking for the state to increase the penalty to try and quelch the damage from the super coke. They DID put the law over themselves. Re: crack vs. cocaine sentencing. I'm not going to let that point slide. This is something that people who are completely clueless about both drugs and the criminal justice system keep trotting out as an example. Crack and cocaine are not even remotely close to the same thing. Just because one is made from the other is not a logical reason to say they should have the same punishment. Furthermore, there's another drug called heroine. It carries exactly the same sentence as crack. Guess what. It's white people who overwhelmingly go to prison for it. This is a prime example of clueless or malicious people cherry picking data to push a narrative. Crack has far more in common with heroine than it does with cocaine. Stop pushing this zombie lie that crack sentencing exists to hurt minorities. That was never true and makes no logical sense if you know anything about the subject.
