Level 3 Body Armor VS 9mm Torture Test - How many will it take???

We went out and tested our level III Kevlar wrapped body armor to see how many 9mm rounds we could shoot it with before it failed.

I don't see any real advantage to steel. Spall coating is a good idea, but you essentially end up using 20th Century technology to solve the fatal flaw of a piece of 19th Century problems when the whole issue can be avoided with 21st Century designs.

A level 4 won't stop multiple direct hits- ceramic has limitations. Steel has a longer shelf life, more hits taken, but weigh more. Dragonscale is nice but not everybody has 5k+. Vacuum seal your steel plates and you've got 20 years of insurance.
