Ya know, I’d like another paper Mario game like super paper Mario. It was a great game and the battle mechanics were so different from the turn based move battles. Also it was so weird: the places, the characters, it just gave me the feels like the majora’s mask of the paper Mario series.

Dimentio needs to return. Maybe even have him be a playable character in smash. Even though he is a spirit and all It would be great, and one last opportunity to make fun of Waluigi as the trailer could have him get a smash invite but then dying in the explosion box and going to the underwere, where Dimentio would get the invite and warp out of there. He would be so fun too. We need Dimentio in smash, or at least in a new game of some kind

Dimentio is such a cool bad guy. It would be awesome if he came back in a future Paper Mario game. Such a unique design, even for a game with many different character designs.
If Dimentio is brought back, wouldn't that also trigger the return of Mr. L? Dimentio is the one who created Mr. L from Luigi's negative emotions after all

It would be great if Dimentio returned! He is no doubt one of my favorite villains in the mario franchise and it would be great seeing him up to no good again!

That Paper Mario game is the best literally one of my favourite games ever with a great story and great replayability with all the cards and recipes to collect!
I don't think dimentio is dead I mean Luigi survived why can't he if he is going to return It would be cool if he gets all past paper Mario villains on his side to destroy all dimensions once and for all
Dimentio is my favourite Mario character, and I'd love to see him make a surprise return, even if only briefly.
Given how creative Odyssey was, I'd love an Odyssey 2 where Mario faces a NEW villain, and has to team up with Bowser on occasion throughout the game. One Kingdom Mario could go to would be a netherworld of sorts. A dangerous death-trap of a Kingdom with little rhyme or reason, where "something" is following Mario's every move, in the walls, the floor, the platforms, the shadows, everywhere. A familiar silhouette, and some oddly familiar smiles plastered on certain objects. As you explore the kingdom and survive long enough to find the source of the dark madness, the familiar smile of Dimentio will appear, revealing his grand return from the abyss.
You'll get a cool fight where he seems omniscient and unkillable, but with enough groundpounds and smacks to the face, he'll go down, and his influence over the kingdom will slip, allowing Mario to continue on his journey. But just before Dimentio returns to the nothingness from whence he came, he'll smile and reassure Mario that he'll bide his time and haunt him again the first chance he gets, opening the possibility for future appearances.
That's just my idea though. I'd applaud Nintendo just for bringing the character back at all. My favourite Kirby villain is Magolor, and HE'S a regular character in that franchise, so why not Dimentio?

Dimintiono is actually my favorite villain from the entire Mario series.
At least you can have sympathy for count black but dimintiono is evil to the core.

Super Paper Mario is one of the best Mario Games. That's right, I said it. I'd even put it up there with Galaxy w/ its S Tier storyline. You should definitely give it a try!
Tbh, I do miss Cackletta too. We also defeated her for good in Superstar Saga but I always liked her more than Fawful.
I want Bowser's brother back. Why because maybe they can actually make a interesting character out of another person close to Bowser.
I really want Boshi back into the spotlight. I loved this character so much, I was praying for his return. :(
Honestly, The RPG and Paper series' villains have some of the best villains in Mario that I've seen. I see this as a wasted potential for Nintendo as I honestly believe that these characters can bring back a lot of fans. Even if its small cameos or NPCs.
Heck maybe even explore more of the villains that weren't exactly villains to begin with. I won't go thru all of the characters from these series, but I'll go thru the ones I have thought of.
Example:
Super Paper Mario
Count Bleck and his minions. I get we get some subtle lore from them, but it would have been cool to see them return again and perhaps see them as NPC in the series. Possibly side-quest from them and maybe see them settle down and perhaps like Mimi has a shop, O'Chucks helps strengthen the heros, or even Nastasia assisting Merlon. Just basically seeing how Count Bleck's minions moved on without their boss and friend/savior.
A possible way to bring back good memories of some of these villains is perhaps make boards for Mario Party and have it based off of them.
I can see a fun board made of illusions for Dimentio that can have special events such as dimensions spaces and mirrors. Perhaps even have Dimentio, himself, appear and cause a bit of chaos on the board. (Bonus if we actively see Luigi shiver in fear when Dimentio appears if he falls on a Dimentio space.
RPG Series

I can see him being a playable character in Mario Kart and perhaps a NPC like Dimentio in Mario Party. Just like Dimentio, I can see his board a fun and wacky board filled with special events that can bring other characters from the Mario RPG series.
Antasma

A Mario Party board of dreams~ With the main antagonist (instead of Bowser spaces) being Antasma!
Actually, I can see the RPG series just being one board combined of all the villains/characters from the games and maybe even have Npcs host this board such as Starlow.
Honestly, even if they don't revive or bring back characters from these series, I think its another wasted potential that they don't add some of the sets from these games as Mario Kart race tracks.
I mean, who wouldn't want to race thru Count Bleck's castle or Antasma's Dreams or heck even drive thru the various worlds that Mario has been thru.
If they ever brought these characters back or even the sets they reside in, I would buy the game in a heart beat as I grew up with a lot of the RPG and Paper series (especially Super Paper Mario).

We did get to see the return of Ninji, an enemy from Super Mario Bros 2, return in Super Mario Run and the latest game, Mario Golf: Super Rush. However, of all the villains that should come back the most, My pick would be Tatanga, the Big Bad Alien from Super Mario Land.

I do agree that some dead Mario characters should return, unfortunately for the villains, that’s impossible since Nintendo hates bringing back 1 off villains in Mario and Zelda games so they almost always kill them off in their first appearance in order to get rid of them, and even if those villains survive, they’ll only survive 1 more time at most.

But what if the next Mario party includes all the previous hosts with a plot to see who is the better host, and when you begin a new board you chose who’s team you want to join, it doesn’t sound like a super complex game idea but it could be cool just to see these characters again

All the Paper Mario and Mario & Luigi characters are dead. I want Nintendo to bring some of them back like for the next Mariokart or Mario Party.

Completely agree about Mario Party hosts (I've only played MP8 but I loved Ballyhoo, and Toadsworth is also a great character)
Never really played too many DK games but I can see how sad it is that Lanky is gone (I loved Barrel Blast though, don't hate on it)

Super Paper Mario 2
Wart and the 8-bits in general would be interesting to see come back. They doesn't really have much of a story, making them have greater potential compared to guys like Dimentio and Fawful, whose stories have already been told.

The Mario Party hosts would be great. I love playing as Toad and Toadette, so seeing characters like Toadsworth or MC Ballyhoo would be _lovely_ .
You say that FLUDD couldn't work as a separate player character, but Crash Team Racing managed to make a Checkpoint Crate playable...that said, FLUDD would be more at home on Mario's back in an adventure.

I want Stanley the Bugman to come back . What is it with early DK characters being forgotten? DK Jr was replaced by Diddy, But Pauline, after being forgotten for nearly 30 years, came back in Mario odyssey. I feel the best way to bring him back would be the way they did Daisy. After her original appearance in SML, she was forgotten until Mario tennis, where they needed a partner for Peach. If a supposed ‘Mario Kart Triple Trouble’ comes out, he could be paired with the Mario Bro’s as their 3rd partner. Then later down the line in the Mario universe, he could be revealed to be Mario and Luigis cousin, and be playable in main line games alongside them. Make it happen, Nintendo!
