It's amazing to see that competition in the Chinese car market is so tough that foreign manufacturers have to collaborate with Chinese manufacturers to make China specific models.
because they do not have EV technology, only china has it
Isn't that law for China? It's always been that way.
No it changed in 2018@@Gongolongo
They've always done it to some degree, but we are now seeing the foreign carmaker outright taking a fully Chinese car and rebadging it for themselves, as in the case of the Mazda, when it used to be the exact opposite.
In a well educated market of size with 1.4B population, yes, it is just matter of time, and a civilization with nonbreaking historical length of 8000 year, they dont care about time.
CORRECTION: The Honda joint venture brand that's mentioned in the video is called Ye, not Huo Ye. Sorry for the mistake!
The Chinese car companies Are going to take the car world the Chinese companies make beautiful cars thank you for showing the Chinese car ❤❤for watching your videos I know many things about Chinese car
Ye makes me think of something completely different...
烨 yè = fiery, bright
And the MG wasn't inspired by a sleek Lotus.
烨,ye
VW is so fckin goofy for that opaque box. Wish they would’ve just stayed home since they clearly aren’t ready
it is a fucking concept car. did you understand it?
@@dnc3861 you can fully show at least the shell of the concept car cant you??
The largest car market in the world.
China: to much choice is also a choice.
Good job boy. you have such a good memory to remember all details.
Like everyday since you review the Beijing salon I am watching your video. But, I must say that I am distracted because of your shirt. I freaking love it! I want the same😊
Xpeng are helping VW
Correct, but the car they are working on together won't be out for some time.
@@Wheelsboy Cheers mate
Loved the intro 😂 !
MG is saved by Chinese, just hope the Brits later not being ungrateful as they usually do
I'm from the UK and MG is British 😂
@@mrmawson2438 that's how MG is doing business. in UK it's a british brand. in China, It's a Chinese brand
@@mrmawson2438 In fact, China's SAIC bought the MG and produced and developed it in China, then sold it back to the UK
It has nothing to do with Britain anymore
@@ipad19960117 Yes
thank you
The car I'm most excited about is BYD's Leopard 8.
The Leopard 5 was a fantastic value proposition, 680hp hybrid, nice interior, purpose built off roader, and all for 290-350k RMB.
It's what the Land Rover Defender should have been. But JLR are paupers compared to BYD. So they have to charge more for far less of a car.
The Leopard 8 will likely be a Range Rover competitor with half the price, twice the performance, better build quality, and technology that's at least a generation ahead!
Seriously considering it over a BMW IX M50
Just checked the Leopard 8, and eww what a horrible design that is, it's like a curveless vehicle, just looking flat & square, boring
So I see many big brands are cooperating with the chinese brands for EV tech. I love it since it looks so awesome and those things will come to europe too but for the usual big brands like Audi, VW, Volvo and such
Look at this show compared to Geneva or some US car show just crazy all the brands attending 😊❤❤
For all you folks out there , the MG main headquarters are based in england , Headed by car designers are british , period! But the cars are built in china
Same case with Lotus. Sports cars like Emira still being hand built in HQ Hethel while Lotus EVs built in newer factory in Wuhan to meet higher demands.
@@notagain2856 Wuhan virus lol
@@mrmawson2438 yeah lol. Thats usually the first thing people think about when Wuhan is mentioned
Afternoon mate
That Mazda looks so good
Sweet!
Thanks for covering the MG concept, couldnt find any videos about it
my boy has been working out! looking good!
Is that new (orange SUV) MG ZS or HS in the background ?
The orange one is MG 4.
So SQ6 is standard wheelbase, not the lwb Q6L right?
Yes
Isn't the MG Comet just a Wuling mining with a re badge? I'd still take weather car !
Why do the Hondas look very reminiscent of Polestar?
Saw that car yesterday, British-sounding guy, did 2 hour tour of whole show. Common China-brand has Chinese girl with tight-white-dress, heels, long hair in single pony tail. Cannot miss her. So perfect, almost looks AI-deep-fake.
Surprised to see so many Japanese brands
Waiting for Geely Starship review.🧐
The concept car that Geely Galaxy brought? Didn't have time to check it out, but we'll do a review of the production version if they ever make one.
That MG is so sexy! I hope they make them into production.
Wait a second. Did he just do the Chinese-english accent at the beginning of the video? Lol
Electric car heaven.
NGL the videographer is pretty good
He's the best, nothing we do would be possible without him!
1930's Germans had 600+HP, aero-cars. January 28, 1938: Rudolf Caracciola, a Mercedes-Benz racing car and the all-time world record of 432.7 kilometers per hour on the motorway. 267.8 MPH

I wonder why MG doesn't have an entry in Formula E, now that they are trying to make proper sports cars again?
China is now a place very hard to interpret by traditional economic and political terms in the human history, and most of outside people has no ideas what it is. It is central governed and powered, but also more free competition then most of western countries. Corruption is still there but the price to pay is extremely high, seems no freedom of speech but you can open discuss gender, race, colleague and boss, also can drink alcohol anywhere you like.
Do you think the west have freedom of speech? 😅😅😅 Just looks at what happened in major universities in the US last week.....
除了颠覆现有政府,其他方面都比西方自由。
The GL8 is the best selling MPV in China, but it's too slow to electrify.
is WULING a good buy??????????/
For a reskin, the Mazda really looks great!
It's obvious that it's the SL03 underneath, but I still think it looks good. I'd also love to see what Mazda's engineers could do to the driving dynamics, because the SL03 isn't much fun behind the wheel. Hopefully they added some of that good Zoom Zoom flavor!
@@Wheelsboy yeah they should. It really looks like a Mazda so great work. Too bad it follows all the trends like illuminated grille, connected taillights and name instead of logo in the rear. Plus the big screen without normal buttons. Hopefully that’s only for Chinese cars. I love Mazda interiors but also because they are very easy to use
I hope Buick worked on crash safety as well as all those gimmicks
Also, BMW guy not friendly, tell you to go to entrance, undercover state-police I think, glared at him.
I really hope Mazda considers bringing the EZ-6 to the global market.
Cyber fomula
Not let him put paw-prints all over it. Some reason, he has to lean into camera, with hands on car.
The Chinese never fail to copy other companies. That MG concept looks great because it's the spitting image of Oldsmobile's Aerotech concept from the 1980s.
MG is saved by chinese 🎉🎉🎉
was there one woman following you guys around the whole time just talking nonstop to everyone around her?
I can think of a dozen Chinese EVs that look 100 times better than that Audi SUV. China will dominate the auto industry
Who cares? All global or big companies aren't give people what we want at the price we need. I have to wait to get a new FIAT 500e,one of only 2 BEV City cars.
No in fact there is so much now in a car that you don’t need.
The Modern "MINIS" are just a cynical marketing exercise, a very successful cynical marketing exercise but a cynical marketing marketing exercise none the less, without the mini name they would never have been a success.
Wow, the new Mini looks like a BMW M2. Ugly.
3:47 - that mini looks fake, and sad
Unfortunately thats the direction Mini is going under BMW
You miss out on the interiors too much on your coverage of the show. Also, too much specs that most don't care about, especially concepts. Just some constructive criticism from a new fan
Nah we love concepts. Specs help put these cars into perspective. Most of the cars shown he physically could not get in to
I dont think he can get in to the interiors of the cars as you can see there are barriers preventing him going near the car.
Thank you for the feedback! As others have pointed out, there were several vehicles that we weren't able to enter. In addition, we had to film so many cars in one day that we simply didn't have time to film the exterior and interior of every car. Stay tuned, as we will be doing full reviews of many of the cars that you've seen in our auto show videos!
The not as interesting cars
That MG is amazing. Very.... Polestar?
🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
We want to see Xiaomi car
