Absolutely stunning. This car is designed like no other, inside and out, with a minimalist approach
I agree 100%. It literally looks and feels like a concept car but it's actually on sale. I'm blown away by what Chinese industry is now capable of producing.

I don't think it's futuristic. It's tech that's pretty much the norm these days. The most complex parts of EVs remain the batteries.
As for proper handling, i.e. mechanical engineering, that's been pretty much perfected by legacy auto makers for decades now. Innovation is building on the successes of the past and continually improving upon them.

Props to the exterior designer Nader Faghihzadeh. He's the genius that also designed the timeless BMW 6 series (F06) that still looks stunning. Can't believe it's a 13 year old design. He deserves more credit. He also designed the outgoing BMW 7 series G12, which in my opinion, in LCI form, is the best looking 7er ever made. Avatr is killing it.
LOL the F06 is one of the ugliest BMWs ever, can tell this was designed by him.
Know that's why so much of it reminds me or puts other designs in my mind. He did a fantastic job, looking forward to how he does with EV where the packaging is more welcoming to design.
And this is his worst creation to date. I hope he won’t go downhill like Franz Von Holzhausen at Tesla. He used to be one of my favorite designers when he was with Mazda.

If they can get these cars to europe at decent prices the europeans are toast. It makes my bmw look like a budget car. I would take this any day.

seems only Chinese Manufacturers produce concept looking cars, looks are amazing, a relaxing lounge-like interior, got the screens but doesnt look like a slap to the dashboard, overall a very attractive car.
They banned Huawei from using android, now Huawei have its own OS even in cars 😂

@collller China is the biggest EV market in the world with the most EV startups by far so it's understandable that EV competition is fierce. But Changan is state owned and Huawei is big so it should be fine in the long run. Also both of them basically just came to market so may be a bit premature ? We'll have to wait and see.

I was there in Kunming and tried avatr12, Absolutely amazing car. But there are too many Chinese competitive brands. Even Avatr is still struggling to survive.
So?
So I suggest people check more Chinese EVs before buying one, like brands from BYD ,Geely , SAIC ,Chery ,NIO ,AITO ,XPeng etc.
No avatr 12 is selling well because of the Huawei Mate 60 pro which has just beaten new Apple iPhone sales in China. Huawei phones can works seamlessly with this EV's software developed by Huawei.
Luxeed and AITO has much closer cooperation with Huawei @@directxxxx71
This car is simply amazing, auto driving, auto parking, auto doors, auto tint, even the wireless charger auto cool your mobile.

Slick design, a much better Ev against the model Y, this model puts it against my wishlist of Zeekr 001 and Cupra Tavascan.

Every command is voice enabled when you are a passenger at the rear, which includes temperatures control windows control and so on...
True, but imagine being a passenger and having to declare out loud everything you wanted to do? Way more time consuming and frankly awkward than a set of buttons or a screen.

On Tesla exterior, they desperately need new exterior and car models which I think is what holding back their car sales.

two things. 1 why not make it proper sallon back like model y so there is no board behind back seat and boot. 2 make the sun visor flap like model x so people can turn them to left for cleaner/nice view of gaint windscreen.

He is a designer at BMW Design and was responsible for the Interior Design of the BMW 7 Series (F01/F02), the Exterior Design of the BMW 6 Series Gran Coupé, Coupé and Convertible (F06/F12/F13) and the Exterior Design of the BMW 7 series (G11/G12).
After 17 years with BMW, in 2019 he joined a China-based EV manufacturer AVATR as Chief Design Officer.
