I don’t know how they could possibly change the story that much. I would like to stay faithful to the original but who knows what direction they will take the remake.
Bugenhagen explains it better, but many lives were lost in the original and it kept the planet alive because of it. The remake has forgotten that the planet needs life energy, how much life force has Shinra sucked out of the earth compared to the people who have died in the remake?... I think Aerith will survive in the remake, perhaps Cloud will push her out of the way or maybe Aerith will not go after Sephiroth this time around?
The remake would sting more as she has more personality im worried still she knows so they may have gave us all the middle finger I this will kill me seeing it so upgraded a death

she was my main healer and i didnt plan for losing her. when she died. her loss was felt through out my whole gameplay. it hurt...bad. best ff game of all time in my eyes loved em all but i liked this ones story the best
I planned everything before losing her. She could help to speed up limit breaks, so everyone can learn faster all lvl1,2 and 3 limits, i took her for Yuffie sidequest, i travelled with her in the tiny bronco around the world , i got her gospel, her staff, used her gospel twice... Even with that, it hurts. 30 gameplay hours with her and still not enough for me
A FEW THINGS To Note About Saving Aeris(Flowergirl) In New Threat 2.0 Game Type A: 1. In The Battle She Is "Undead" So You "Cannot" Use Curative Magic(Such As Regen) On Her To Keep Her HP Up, It'll Just Damage(And Possibly Even "Kill") Her. If You'll Notice, The "Spells" Jenova-LIFE Casted On Aeris(Flowergirl) Were Called "Uncure" And "Unlife 2". Those Are "Different" From "Cure" And "Life2"! The BEST Thing To Do Is To Just Focus On Jenova-LIFE And Avoid Targeting Flowergirl Altogether(Unless Your Trying To Get "Silence" Casted On Aeris(Flowergirl)). 2. Do NOT Have Any Materia Like "Magic Counter", Counter(Command), Counter Attack, OR Sneak Attack On! You REALLY Don't Wanna Risk Countering Any Attacks From Flowergirl(Aeris)! Use Attacks That Are All Single-Target And AVOID Any Multi-Targetting Attacks And Limit Breaks If You Can Help It. Gravity Works REALLY WELL Against Jenova-LIFE. 3. Flowergirl Has 1500 HP. That's The Name They Gave Aeris(As Enemy Target) In The Battle.
Got to this on a type B playthrough. At first i killed her to see what would happen, got the ribbon. Reloaded the save and tried again to keep her alive. At one point she sacrificed herself casting great gospel on the party restoring all of our hp and mp. you might HAVE to silence her to keep her from doing that.
i was surprised at her being deleted from the party but i never used her [or yuffie for that matter] opting for Vince Barret & Cloud so my party was litterally unaffected and thus didnt care. ff7's materia system is best ive ever seen. love this gem.

I remember struggling a lot on that boss fight, I retried several times, and never thought that you could actually use Demi to beat it or silence Aerith... good job !
So real quick as quick as I can without writing a novel here. Aeris dies. As you play the game there's a point where you start collecting the huge materia. During this time you can go back to midgar and find out that the guy standing there has lost the key to the gate. Go to the excavation site snag the key go back to midgard. Go back to the church and when you first walk in you see Aeris taking care of the flowers. When you move towards her she disappears. I've completed the game 10 times and this is the first time I've ever did or saw this. This is without a hack mind you this is on the Nintendo switch. The question is why? Was there something more to this??? Please someone answer!!!!!

dude...i believe square enix is trying to make us believe in ff7 remake part 1 that aerith will be saved somehow because some things are very difrent from the original. BUT i believe :( that they will cut our hearts once more by making us feel "relief" that aerith will prob be saved but maybe it wont anyways... i have think about it so much since i ended ff7 remake part 1. because is like you say...aerith's death is key back in the original at least...im pretty hyped for part 2 wherever the story leads. one of the best games ever since i was a kid no doubt. cheers
The whole fates battle etc makes it feel that way, like this could be an alternate time line. Far as I remember the fate boss didnt happen in OG (been 20 years or more since I last played it)
I am expecting Zack and Aerith to die toward the end of the saga of the remake games. I guess cause I played crisis core, i kind of want it to be like divine intervention that Zack is alive because of Minerva, and Areith knowing stuff she shouldnt know. SE loves to have there higher beings some how involved. So I would not put it past them that things are changing solely cause MInerva didn't like how things played out for the cast and the world in the first go around.
I hope someone can answer this, but i read in two different reddit threads that there was a toggle aerith dead option for those who decided to/killed without knowing that you could revive Aerith by talking to someone on the highwind. I checked and havent seen this. I know im late to the party (last posts were 2-3 years ago) but I am curious if anyone has more details on this. Playing NT 2.0
if you’re playing on Hard and silence isn’t an option for you then use Osmose on your best caster, drain her MP and focus the boss… that’s what worked for me
I got destroyed on my first time as well, but I noticed all of JENOVA's moves were water. So I had to watch the entire cutscene all over again :( then play the fight with her theme in the background, slowly chipping away at JENOVA's HP as I had an item equiped that would drain all water-based attacks.
OH I had figure out that you could Silence Aeris but I didn't know you could use Gravity on boss, definitly gonna help next time I play through this mod.
BOTH Game A AND Game B play out the SAME with this boss battle. You basically have to AVOID having Aeirs "die" in that boss battle after "Jenova-Life" CASTS "Unlife2" on Aeris herself.
Cloud quits the journey, him and Aeris settle down together and the game suddenly becomes a full on dating sim. Please, I need a dating sim where I can just settle down with Aeris and romance her, or any FF girl really. I need this v.v
No - people need to remember that the world was SAVED in OG thus it is not the 'bad ending'. Death happens. It's part of life. The world still turns and is able to still turn. The Dev's who spit out nonsense out of Remake's characters mouths about it being the 'bad ending' doesn't make it so ; it just means they completely missed the point, heart, and soul of the OG story.
@@FuzzfingerGaming yeah, 9 times out of 10 you get banned for modding on console, Skyrim is an exception though but achievements become disabled. Quick question too regarding FF7, what do you need to do to maximize your chances of going on a date with Barrett? Does it depend on your choices of what you say to him when you get the options to do so?
There are a couple of things not mentioned in the video that confused me. The battle where you die can't be on the world map. Also I'm pretty sure you need your non yuffie save to be after aeris dies. When I tried it I warped to the place where I died but was at a point in the game where I was in the non yuffie save.
I thought the original ending for aerith was she gave her life at end of game to destroy meteor. That's why she has her own dialog throughout the game.
Just one-shotted this, saved Aerith without even meaning to, I just couldn't bring myself to attack her in battle lol. You can manipulate her and use her to spam Seal Evil on Jenova for around 800 damage a pop.
Read My Comment. In The Battle, FlowerGirl(Aeris) Is "Undead". Meaning, ANY Curative Magic Such As "Regen", Cure, OR Life Would Just "Damage" Or Even "Kill" Her.

The PS2 system, only the original PlayStation 1 from 1995-98 with the extra ports in the back of the system. 2000 December to 2001 December been wanting this to happen. 2012 I checked 2021 I checked now all these years later it has finally happened. FF7 Rebirth was my hope but NOT SURE if they will allow the change in the path of the story. Instead I found modded PC Final Fantasy 7 videos and found this is now possible. She can be brought Back Final Fantasy 8 was all about changing destiny a mistake from happening (Ellone becoming a sorceress, Rinoa becoming sorceress, Ultmecia from influencing the past too greatly, etc) through many time loops (try agains with technology and magic). Why would Aeris=Aerith death be any different towards the idea of changing destiny or the games story. Never since playing a long time ago stopped mentioning her being brought back to life. example: The Materia HOLY Brings all character from 50 years or 100 years or Red XIII reference How long he lives past the events backwards in time (500 years??). Good or Bad doessn't matter. Aeris=Aerith would meet her mom and dad and Zack. Cloud would see his father and mother. Red would se his fellow Dog Cat people again. Just countless people account for and restored... But no crummy real OG BULLS""T Ending. Sephiroth Cloud's hero would regain his normal mind and meet his mom Lucrecia Crescent and could talk sense to him.

Actually, In The PSX Version, There IS A Way You Can "Save" Her In The Emulated "And" The Console Versions Through A Glitch That Involves Disc Swapping In The Process. You Just Need "Another" ROM Called "Saga Frontier" And A "Save File" Before The Date Sequence. It's A Little Hard To Explain But Basically, You SKIP The Date Sequence And Temple Of The Ancients Altogether And The Game Proceeds From City Of The Ancients As Normal And You Keep Aeris That Way. There Is A Video Somewhere Of It On YT That I Found. It's Titled "How To Keep Aeris Alive The Most Epic Final Fantasy VII Glitch Ever".

Also, in the original Jerseys never had "Ribbons" as drops OR steals, there were 2 other enemies you could get them from and BOTH had them through morphs. Unless they UPDATED the FF7 New Threat Mod itself and made the Ribbons AS Drops from "Jerseys"(Which I HIGHLY DOUBT) then there is ONLY 1 Ribbon in the game.

So the majority of FF fan choose to kill Aerith and have the Ribbon accessory 😏, on the other hand some choose to save her and ignore the item 😁. Will the remake gave us this choice too in part 2 🤔, i hope the devs will do it because i also don't want to loose my major healer and buffer in the party ✌.
The PROBLEM With That, Is You Then Only Have ONE Ribbon, Which Makes It NOT VERY Worthwhile. You NEED A Ribbon For "Every" Character To REALLY Make GREAT USE Of The Ribbon In ANY FF Game, Such As Like FF7, FF8, Or Even FF6(You Can FARM Ribbons Off Brachosaurs EASY In That One). That Is Why In FF7 NTM Saving Aeris Is The Better Option.
@@RedMarioXIIINanaki36 In FF7 you can equip materia to gaurd against certain things. But usually don't have enough accessories and materia to fully prevent all negatives. I'm trying to figure out a way to save aerith and get the ribbon but no luck so far.

Well, In NTM(New Threat Mod) From What I've "Recently" Heard You CAN Do That But THAT REQUIRES "Killing Off" Aeris And Getting The "Ribbon" And THEN At The VERY END You Can TOGGLE ON/OFF Having Her Back With An Option On The Highwind(But You Miss Out On Having Her Around For All The Storyline). I'm Not Totally Sure On That Though. Now, In The ORIGINAL PSX Version There IS A Way(I Demonstrated It), It's Through A "Glitch" That Doesn't Involve The "Yuffie-Warping". You Need A Game Called "Saga Frontier" And Save Files Before The Date Sequence And The Process Involves Chocobo Catching By The Chocobo Ranch And Disc-Swapping. I had to make Tifa the Healer because Aerith was gone. While also having to keep Tifa as the Fighter too.
@MariusBoss11458 Yuffie can hang in there as a team healer. One of her ults. It's on low aggro too.
It pissed me off, on subsequent playthroughs I’d completely ignore her, no reason to level up a char that’s just gonna die.

Cast Manipulate on her and just have her attack Jenova.
Her demise directly ties into the ending.
I don't think I want to change that considering how emotional the finale is.

Learning new Limits has been made harder in this mod. IMO, its overtuned.

does she have more SP upgrade opportunities? As of the first Golden Saucer visit, the SP menu only lists 2 instead of 4 for the rest of the characters

It's her name in the English localisation of the original game and wasn't corrected until after its release.

BOTH Game A AND Game B play out the SAME with this boss battle. You basically have to AVOID having Aeirs "die" in that boss battle after "Jenova-Life" CASTS "Unlife2" on Aeris herself.

People need to remember that OG FFVII was the BAD ending, I don't think aerith was *supposed* to die.

No - people need to remember that the world was SAVED in OG thus it is not the 'bad ending'. Death happens. It's part of life. The world still turns and is able to still turn. The Dev's who spit out nonsense out of Remake's characters mouths about it being the 'bad ending' doesn't make it so ; it just means they completely missed the point, heart, and soul of the OG story.
I have the psx data of Aerith in party in disc 2 for Playstation and was able to make it work in the Japanese versions for playstation
It's a shame the Xbox/PS version doesn't have this option.

Quick question too regarding FF7, what do you need to do to maximize your chances of going on a date with Barrett? Does it depend on your choices of what you say to him when you get the options to do so?

There are a couple of things not mentioned in the video that confused me. The battle where you die can't be on the world map. Also I'm pretty sure you need your non yuffie save to be after aeris dies. When I tried it I warped to the place where I died but was at a point in the game where I was in the non yuffie save.
I thought the original ending for aerith was she gave her life at end of game to destroy meteor. That's why she has her own dialog throughout the game.
Just one-shotted this, saved Aerith without even meaning to, I just couldn't bring myself to attack her in battle lol. You can manipulate her and use her to spam Seal Evil on Jenova for around 800 damage a pop.

Read My Comment. In The Battle, FlowerGirl(Aeris) Is "Undead". Meaning, ANY Curative Magic Such As "Regen", Cure, OR Life Would Just "Damage" Or Even "Kill" Her.
I believe she is untargetable prior to unlife being cast

Final Fantasy 8 was all about changing destiny a mistake from happening (Ellone becoming a sorceress, Rinoa becoming sorceress, Ultmecia from influencing the past too greatly, etc) through many time loops (try agains with technology and magic).
Why would Aeris=Aerith death be any different towards the idea of changing destiny or the games story. Never since playing a long time ago stopped mentioning her being brought back to life. example: The Materia HOLY Brings all character from 50 years or 100 years or Red XIII reference How long he lives past the events backwards in time (500 years??). Good or Bad doessn't matter. Aeris=Aerith would meet her mom and dad and Zack. Cloud would see his father and mother. Red would se his fellow Dog Cat people again. Just countless people account for and restored... But no crummy real OG BULLS""T Ending.
Sephiroth Cloud's hero would regain his normal mind and meet his mom Lucrecia Crescent and could talk sense to him.

Actually, In The PSX Version, There IS A Way You Can "Save" Her In The Emulated "And" The Console Versions Through A Glitch That Involves Disc Swapping In The Process. You Just Need "Another" ROM Called "Saga Frontier" And A "Save File" Before The Date Sequence. It's A Little Hard To Explain But Basically, You SKIP The Date Sequence And Temple Of The Ancients Altogether And The Game Proceeds From City Of The Ancients As Normal And You Keep Aeris That Way. There Is A Video Somewhere Of It On YT That I Found. It's Titled "How To Keep Aeris Alive The Most Epic Final Fantasy VII Glitch Ever".

I prefer to have Aerith back, with her limit breaks, instead of Ribbon, if you ask me. A solution will be found for that trinket.
They're ALWAYS updating the game itself so there will POSSIBLY be an alternative to getting "Ribbons".

Also, in the original Jerseys never had "Ribbons" as drops OR steals, there were 2 other enemies you could get them from and BOTH had them through morphs. Unless they UPDATED the FF7 New Threat Mod itself and made the Ribbons AS Drops from "Jerseys"(Which I HIGHLY DOUBT) then there is ONLY 1 Ribbon in the game.

So the majority of FF fan choose to kill Aerith and have the Ribbon accessory 😏, on the other hand some choose to save her and ignore the item 😁. Will the remake gave us this choice too in part 2 🤔, i hope the devs will do it because i also don't want to loose my major healer and buffer in the party ✌.
The PROBLEM With That, Is You Then Only Have ONE Ribbon, Which Makes It NOT VERY Worthwhile. You NEED A Ribbon For "Every" Character To REALLY Make GREAT USE Of The Ribbon In ANY FF Game, Such As Like FF7, FF8, Or Even FF6(You Can FARM Ribbons Off Brachosaurs EASY In That One). That Is Why In FF7 NTM Saving Aeris Is The Better Option.
@@RedMarioXIIINanaki36 In FF7 you can equip materia to gaurd against certain things. But usually don't have enough accessories and materia to fully prevent all negatives. I'm trying to figure out a way to save aerith and get the ribbon but no luck so far.

Well, In NTM(New Threat Mod) From What I've "Recently" Heard You CAN Do That But THAT REQUIRES "Killing Off" Aeris And Getting The "Ribbon" And THEN At The VERY END You Can TOGGLE ON/OFF Having Her Back With An Option On The Highwind(But You Miss Out On Having Her Around For All The Storyline). I'm Not Totally Sure On That Though. Now, In The ORIGINAL PSX Version There IS A Way(I Demonstrated It), It's Through A "Glitch" That Doesn't Involve The "Yuffie-Warping". You Need A Game Called "Saga Frontier" And Save Files Before The Date Sequence And The Process Involves Chocobo Catching By The Chocobo Ranch And Disc-Swapping. I wish I hadednt levels do much ied love to have had a challenge against any jenova my only challenge is Ruby everything else can be time consuming or to simple maybe I'll replay with an increased difficulty mod if there's one or try stay low level
