Works perfectly, didn't think I could do this so quickly! Here's a tip for reel manipulation on the switch version: 3 results per reel, you want result C, so try to stop it on A and it will tend to skip A and B. Literally just as A is coming into view. It will tend to skip two results and land on the one you want. Timings are different on steam and OG playstation so this probably won't work on those. I had about an 80% success rate and now have all the goodies from battle square! Btw, long range materia is useful for some enemies.

Given what happens at that point, I figure it's fitting for Cloud to go nuts. P.S. For GP, I just got good at the basketball mini-game in the Wonder Square. It's pretty easy to rack up a good amount, enough to get Omnislash anyway.
@Fall after you push the shoot button, it's a split second after you notice the animation ends that you let go. Hard to explain but that's the best I can do lol
I always unlock all the limit breaks on every character as soon as I get them, save a few. But right after I get the tiny bronco, I go limit grind to get them all, then I go get Omnislash.
@@potatos_4_free Yeah, I got to max 300 gp couple of times. Thing is, you don't really even have to be good at it. I usually grind 200 gp which should be enough to get Omnislash. Even if you only got 4-5 gp per play, you still only need 40-50 games which take less than hour. Super dunk is best way to get gp before you get your own gold chocobo late game.
I got omnislash with 150bp but my problem was I kept getting battles where I'd only have 1 option on the drawback wheel. Not sure if I just have horrible luck with rng or what.
Born in 87. Tooks months maybe even a year to beat this whole game as a kid. Downloaded the app of it on my phone for the Nostalgia played it as a grown 30 something year old man and beat it in 1 week in my spare time and never lost a single battle. Only battles i did lose were emerald and ruby weapon (the 2 battles I NEVER won as a kid) look at a few strategies took what i could from them made my own strategies for each and both of those fights became VERY EASY. Contrary to popular belief I believe Emerald Weapon is the harder actual fight of the two but Ruby weapon would be harder to figure out on your own without being guided on what to do. Look at me a 35 yr old man with 3 kids happy about avenging my 10 yr old self's losses 🤣.
Yuffie is my go to here. Doom of The Living is almost as good as Omni Slash, and she is a natural long ranged attacker. Casting Resist and Death Force early also help you out. I also use Added Effect and Time allot. That slows or stops most enemies.
Long range doesn't matter if she's the only party member, unless there are variants in the battle arena that can wind up with enemies in the backrow you would like to target first. But Yuffies doom of the living is basically a really good early omnislash!
@@aaron3905 You also take less damage in the back row, so having Yuffie there is a good idea. You're not losing any damage, but the enemies are. Unless they cast stuff.
@@dolphinboi-playmonsterranc9668 nope. If you're alone it doesn't matter what 'row' you're on. No teammates in front of you means you take full damage.
DotL is better than Omnislash if I recall correctly. The reason being that it being lvl3 it charges faster so you get to do more damage over time. These days I don't really use lvl4s at all.
I recommend using the white cape, hopefully you don’t lose accessories during this... (I meant the roll, it can decide to break your accessories. Don’t worry u still have it when u leave)
Thx bro. Got it at lvl 54 with All the material you used. The battle arena was a little tricky in the beginning, but I got through it. All before this one.
Best place to grind on disk one is in juno in the pathway towards the sub. Normally there won't be any enemies on disk one but there is a button that activates an alarm. The reason this is good is the enemies are all disk 2 enemies which means they give far more exp
After succeeding at getting Omnislash is Disk 1 the only reason to return to the Battle Arena in Disk 2. is to get W-Summon(which is basically a one stop shop materia to use every Summon in your arsenal even though what you use is down to personal preference)and if you want to go ahead and do one last Battle Arena session with both Omnislsh and W-Summon activated/equipped to unlock the final Battle Arena session and once that's done you'll receive a reward for your trouble.
I always found w-summon to be useless until weapon fights, I tend to avoid most summons in the FF series as the time cost to watch the animation is never worth. After you see it 3-5 times you dont need to see the exact same animation again and again.
I tell you what I've played through FF7 more times than I care to admit and I've used various walkthroughs in the past, but I've followed this one of yours and just got omnislash on disk 1. This has been a blast! It's a vastly different experience. The grinds aren't that grindy, I've only messed up on Don corneo mission and I detest Fort Condor but otherwise it's been awesome. I followed your FF8 guide first which was also brilliant. Well done Fuzz!!!

Have cloud standing in front of the machine facing it from the playable area closest to the arm wrestling. Set up your analog stick with the elastic in the facing forward position. Have turbo set up To mash a. Then go watch a movie. Bout half hour you'll have 400
White Cape for frog and mini, element and destruct or odin to stop death, stone gives 30 sec for you can use a soft and heal materia to heal poison or regen to counter it. The status effects where getting me when I first tried getting omnislash pre temple. My problem was using jem ring to counter the stone and and using transform to cure frog and mini but the amount of times frog can happen makes it the more worthwhile status to block.
Omnislash is the best limit break in the game, until you start hitting the damage cap. In that case Yuffie’s limit breaks are better because they hit more times
@@cristianpallares7565 Mime + Counter after using omnislash can make it hit 45 times, (mime+counter)+(couter+d.blow)+(d.blow+added cut) can make it hit crap loads more times.
Sea Worm at Mideel beach give 200 ap which is the most for disc 1, 1300 xp, 10k gil, morph dragon scales. Slalom Monster technically gives more in a group of 3 (210ap, 4.5k gil but is rarer to see)
you're absolutely right. And before you get the bronco the best place to farm is from raising the alarm at junon, which is also great for increasing limit break levels
For your battle points, wherever possible you want to avoid getting the same result on the reel multiple times. A result is worth its share of BP only the first time it comes up; after that, it's only worth 1 BP. So for your run that ends at about 13:00, you would have gotten even more points if you broke the Green materia instead of a second All result. At least, that was the case in the original PSX version. No idea whether that math got changed for rereleases.
You can actually grind up a huge gil fortune before you leave midgar making this totally doable! In the train graveyard you fight Deenglows and this is the first time you can obtain ethers. If you steal 99 ethers they sell for 750gp each thats 75,000Gil, then do some time grinding for striking staffs from Elgor which also sells for 750gil. Thats a potential 150,000gil before you have even gone to shinra HQ. You can also farm hard edge from the soldiers in shinra HQ which can earn up to another 75,000gil for 99. It takes awhile to do, but you can potentially leave midgar with well over 220,000gil (ontop of monster/boss gil drops) When you reach gold saucer you should have more then enough gil to purchase GP or play games (and even purchase the 30,000gil pass without making a dent in the wallet)
I prefer the Junon Alarm grind, by that time, you have double materia growth weapons, and you spend an hour there and master All materias, you'll have ~3 All Materias at around the same level, so thats about 4 million Gil you get, before you even go to Cosmo Canyon... and you're back there for the Fort Condor battle 4 anyway, so might as well
As I Said, When You Have The Tiny Bronco The Only REAL THREAT In The Battle Arena Is Ying/Yang! Fortunately Once You Have Him Down It's EASY! Again, NICE JOB Getting Omnislash On Disc 1! VERY EASY To Do! Also, Omnislash Costs 51200 BPs(Not 51000) On Disc 1. Counter-Attack Is GOOD, But It Can Also Be A Nuisance Against Ying/Yang, Particularly Against Yang. A Risk That You Can Either Take, Or Not Take. Aside From That, It's Good. Also One Thing You Didn't Mention About Ying/Yang: Notice How He's Super-Fast In Battle? That's Because His SPD Is 75. Add 38(In Battle Arena Enemies' Stats Are Enhanced With DOUBLE HP And 25% All Other Stats) To That And You Get 113. So Basically, Ying/Yang Has NO ATB, Like Ozma And Those YANS In Final Fantasy IX. That Is Why He Gets To Go Again RIGHT AWAY Specially If Your Not Doing Anything.
All the money being made on video games these days and none of them can compare with this masterpiece. Developers been working so hard on graphics they forgot how to make good games.
Good guides. Ima try to follow your advice as close as I can. I also wanna get the best stuff from the railway shooter. Am I gonna hate myself for trying that?
Oh I never bothered with Omnislash on disk 1 aswell! Might give it a go during these holidays as I plan to go through FFVII again. :) Thanks for the content Simon. Cheers!
It's Not Very Hard To Get Omnislash On Disc 1! Heck I Even Got 3 Champion Belts, 3 Speed Plus Materia, 1 Pre-Emptive Materia, 1 Enemy Lure Materia, And 1 Fury Ring ALL Before Gongaga Easily! Takes A While But It's REALLY Easy! Also Like I Said If You Talk To That Lady At The Bottom Of The Stairs And Say "Yeah That's Right", Win A Round Of 8 Battles, And Talk To Her Again(You Can KEEP FARMING BPs Before You Speak To Her Again), She Gives You A Sprint Shoes.
Since Buffs stay on through the course of the battle arena, I like to include a Time materia in my setup - start the first fight by casting Haste and Regen and you'll keep them until round 6 or 7 out of 8
That's how I got my GP every time, start off with the Kupo thing for your first bunch, then after Junon Alarm grind for 4 million gil, on the way back do the super dunk, quick and easy, 300gp every time (with practice)
i remember doing this when i was like 9 i got stuck in junon region cause i didnt know that the cannon was a town so i just kept farming the mandragora enemies and had my part to level 40 before i even entered junon. The battle square was a cake walk..also i always thought level 4 suicide would kill the user to do high damage to the target
wow....i didn't realize that there was a method to try get omnislash in disc one. when we played bit over 10 years a go ps 2 with my friend i think we only tried to get it late part at disc 2 i think. Let me tell you...there was lot of howl of frustration those whew nights when we played those minigames XD. I am not much for achievments my self but usually try go get all skills armors etc what i can in ff series games(learned from experience how frustrating it can get when hard boss comes and mop the floor your party multiple times in row less than couple minutes XD) thanks for video fuzz :)
you can get gp buy the tram walking between the station/tram screen look for the guy who will randomly show up by save point (Tram/golden saucer entrance)
Used this video and the chocobo betting video to get omnislash in around 2 hours at this exact point in the game. Only thing I did to help was use haste and arraigned my items with things to help with debuffs close to the top. It wasn't to bad at all.
The first time I got Omnislash on disc 1 was when I decided to use the easy GP from the Mog game to buy something I could afford in the store. I got almost enough BP in a single run and did another to get those last few thousand. I chase that almost every play through.
Back in my day we didn't have 3x mode. You'd run your PlayStation for hours while doing other stuff with friends. We usually had Smash Bros going and took turns controlling FF7.
This is quite the grind. I mean to even get that high a level on disc 1 and all that gp. At that point many of the enemies arent even a challenge without omnislash. Its a cool novelty to achieve that early but it would make the game too boring for me afterward.
I raised a gold choco and raced in order to rack up a ton of gp. You can get a large amount of gp by choosing that over the items if you don’t need the item reward.
Jem ring more useful than white cape. Frog and mini are easily removed with a cornucopia or maiden kiss. Petrify is a game over and paralysis can really mess you up. Put added effect time materia in your armor to prevent stop
I got omnislash on disc 1 back in 1997 or 1998. I didn’t remember you needed combat points but I remember you need GP because I spent quite a long time earning them at the basketball, that was what worked best for me. The reason I don’t remember the combats may be that I was level 54 with 7777HP-max towards the end of disc 1, I might have used it (or not really don’t recall) for the battles
I got the Omnislash by first stacking up on ethers before hand, then I used bad breath then death sentence, while waiting for the death sentence to finish I refill mp with the ethers I stacked up, then when the last enemy has 15 seconds left on their death sentence I put on big guard to prepare for the next battle, keep doing this until you encounter an enemy that won't sleep then take it out using the stronger enemy skills
I always get Omnislash this point. I like to equip white cape, and seal-added effect in armour. This way I'm protected from frog, silence and sleep so can always do magic, and having lvl2 heal materia and white wind means I can deal with most other statuses. Personally, I use the basketball mini game to get the GP, just a few (potentially frustrating) minutes usually
If you have morph before challenging the battle arena, head to gongaga village and farm the heavy tanks for their power sources for a quick power boost, use yuffy with morph and her ultimate weapon so her damage isnt reduced. This tip is for those who havnt played the game 100 times like i have and still do.
I just want to say that you’re literally just better ik this video is old but I’m just starting the ff series and these fights were excruciating it took me like 340 gp to get the omnislash it took me 4 elixirs and 45 ethers I was freaking losing sooo bad Also I didn’t know you can kinda choose what effects debuff you I was getting half hp and mp all the time and losing on the last 2 fights
i remember doing on the original game, if you skip most random encounters and are able to get here under level 20 or 21, i forget the cutoff because that was quite some time ago, but the enemies you get in the arena will all be weak early game enemies with little to no negative status. its probably the easiest way of getting disk 1 omnislash by far
actually you can find the gp seller if you enter and leave the entrance took me 20 times before they showed up but they do appear and wont be there next time you enter the area. but you can reload the room until they are there again.
I always just one shot the temple boss, no heavy grinding required, you just need tifa's limit break to reach dolphin blow or meteor strike and the full limit break will finish it in one go
I did this last night and man that was challenging. The only enemy that gave me an issue was those enemy’s that petrify me which is really annoying as I hate seeing those enemy’s when I am at the battle square. But overall it was fun and challenging during disc 1. I got cloud at level 45.
You Can USE The "Jem Ring"(Which You Got From The "Materia Keeper" Boss Enemy In "MT Nibel"), It PREVENTS "Gradual Petrify" AND "InstaPetrify". Frog/Small Is NOT A BIG DEAL, If You BUY MANY "Maiden's Kisses" AND "Cornucopias"(And IF You HAVE MANY "X-Potions"(They Can Be STOLEN Off "Spirals" In The "Dirt Area" On The "Islands" Near "Mideel" And If You Have MANY "Turbo Ethers"(Stolen Off "Search Crowns" In "MT Corel"))) From The "Ghost Hotel" BEFORE You START FARMING The "BPs" For "Everything"(I GOT The "3 Champion Belts", "3 Speed Plus" Materia, "1 Pre-Emptive" Materia, "1 Enemy Lure" Materia, AND "1 Fury Ring" ALL BEFORE "Gongaga") So REALLY ALL That Was LEFT When I RETURNED Here With The "Tiny Bronco" Was "Omnislash" For "Cloud" And "1 S-Mine".
@@WinspearUltima The BEST WAY To GET ALL That Stuff(Before Gongaga(You'll NEED A TOTAL Of LIKE "200,000+" BPs Is To DO The FOLLOWING: 1. The BEST WAY To GET "GP"(Prii Actually POINTED THIS OUT And Fuzz Did A "Video Demonstration" Of It So FOLLOW IT) Is The "Chocobo Square" With "Chocobo Race BETTING. It's A GOOD WAY To GET "Early EASY GP". 2. ONCE You HAVE The "500 GP", Go OUTSIDE "North Corel" And SAVE Your Game(DO NOT USE The "Save Point" In "Ropeway Station"(EACH TIME You Do So COSTS "5 GP" And It's Just NOT WORTH WASTING It To USE A "Save" For That When You Can "Save" For FREE!). 3. The MAX AMOUNT You Can GET AT A TIME Is "65000" BPs. HOWEVER, BECAUSE EVERYTHING You CAN GET AT This POINT That I LISTED(3 Champion Belts, 3 Speed Plus Materia, 1 Pre-Emptive Materia, 1 Enemy Lure, Materia, And 1 Fury Ring) COSTS A TOTAL Of "200,000+" BPs, The BEST WAY To GET ALL THESE "BPs" Is To FIRST MAX OUT Your "BPs", And GET 1 ITEM AT A TIME. START WITH The "Champion Belts"(1 Champion Belt At A TIME COSTS "40960" BPs), And THEN RE-MAX OUT Your "BPs" AGAIN, And GET ANOTHER "Champion Belt", RE-MAX OUT Your "BPs" AGAIN, And Get Your "THIRD" Champion Belt". THEN AFTER THAT, The "1 Pre-Emptive" Materia, The "1 Enemy Lure" Materia, And "1 Fury Ring" Is NO PROBLEM. And It's BEST To GET ALL THIS STUFF BEFORE "Gongaga", As The "Enemies" You FACE THEN Are "Pathetically Weak" And TAKE LITTLE EFFOR To KILL(Use The "White Cape" To PREVENT "Mini") PLUS You Can START LEVELING "Speed Plus" AND "Pre-Emptive"(As Well As "Enemy Lure") EARLY. The TOTAL Amount Of "BPs" NEEDED For ALL THIS BTW Is "202,240". Omnislash Isn't Available Until When You FIRST Have The "Tiny Bronco". Also AFTER You GET ALL THAT STUFF, Speak To That "Lady" At The "Bottom" Of Those "Stairs" AGAIN And She'll Give You A "Sprint Shoes" For Winning A "Set Of Battles"(You Can FARM The "BPs" In The "Process" After You SPEAK TO HER The "First Time", There's NO PENALTY For That).
My disc 2 was broken so the only thing I could really do was grind and play in gold saucer until I was able to find an original disk 2. By that time I cleaned house in the battle square and was lvl 67
Ive never left it till disk 2-3 ive always got it on disk 1 and for the longest time I used to believe that i had to get everything from battle square on disk 1
Thanks for the video man. I got Omnislash on disk 1 pre temple as well my set up was a little different since I completed the first part of the Wutai side quest and bought the Murasame. I used the Diamond Bangle as well because of the two linked slots, and the Jem Ring as my Acc. I then Paired Elemental lvl 3 with poison and paired Added Effect with transform. Which basically gave me the same coverage as Ribbon would, while also getting extra healing when poisoned. I would just recommend to remove poison at least before the final battle just incase you get break all materia slot. Cloud was lvl 49.
Wutai early probably helps a lot, murasame is way better than rune blade or yoshiyuke. I’m still using it into disk 2 under the gaea cliff. I’ll probably backtrack after this to nab omnislash
Wish I couldve had the time to play through multiple times when I had time I wouldve made more notes of my own. Id just go on memory a lot of the time 😂
Glad to see a later re-release kept them as Ice, Ice 2 and Ice 3, and not this modern Ice, Iceaga and Iceagogo or whatever it is. I bet they are called that in the re-make too. Look how they massacred my boy.
The way I do it on PC is I have a keyboard with programmable keys, and I set a button press for a specific time for the exact millisecond window where the Superdunk minigame will always land, then just farm the GP to use as fuel for the Battle Square
This method is for OG. It's really @#$&!? up whenever the idea of Omnislash on Disc 1 is introduced to you on the Switch version. Then it's like !#@$ it I'll literally wear a cape to avoid mini, and just break all of my materia. I have went all in several times before to get the Omnislash without the newer Steam/PS4/Switch version options (On PSX/PS3) but never tried to grab it on Disc 1 because of the level grinding it takes to make a comfortable run of it like what was shown in this video. Example: "Took less than an hour." * *Looks at total play time* * 🙄 I will say though you are very dedicated to your work, and it shows in the effort placed in your video. Also, thank you for not hiding your play time. Some people do this.
I was struggling very hard even at lvl 50+ to complete this but eventually I got through it by having a limit ready from the start, taking on any amount of enemies lower than 2 on with counter attack, keeping regen active at all times, using beta on larger packs of 3+, and then finishing off the boss with limit, with the exception of yin yang which I used the smoke bomb trick on as my first time facing him my limit killed yang and left me in trouble with the yin suicide.
I followed all the advice, great advice btw! worked a treat in the races and bp but when I went to purchase it, the champion belt was the most expensive thing I could buy and no option for omnislash :( I've got to level 3 finishing touch on limit breaks. Not sure why it wasn't there, any help please? Should I do it again?
… I ended up grinding so hard that I was level 61 at the battle arena. I got omni slash before temple of the ancients, but I killed everything before the bar filled up 😢
If you are don't like the chocobo minigame (like me) you can get 300 GP for every perfect game in the super dunk, once you get used to it it's almost imposible to lose
@FuzzfingerGaming I have been following your guide trying to get the platinum before the remake comes out. I went ahead and use your advice to get clouds last limit break. I ended up getting around 54,000 points in about 20 minutes then when I went to go buy it it was not there. XD I felt very stupid mostly because I tried to get it a little bit earlier than you did
First of all, master up a few All materials and sell them for 1.6M Gil each. Then enter the gold saucer. At the entrance where the Welcome door is, there will sometimes be a guy hiding in the upper left corner near the GP save point. You can repeatedly exchange 10000 Gil for 100 GP when he appears. It can take some time, due to RNG, but it's the easiest way to get GP.
Level 47 on disc 1! I doubt I'm level 47 even by the time complete the game. Getting GP and BP might not take that long but by the time you factor in the levelling required as well it's unlikely this is worth it, especially given that the lvl3 limits do more damage over time when taking into account the time required to charge the limit guage. I just normally get everyone's level 3 limits as soon as I reach the Junon area and that's fine for the rest of the game. Still, interesting video that showed me some things I didn't know about the game like the Chocobo Racing stat.
the video does not mention it , but you need to get the tiny Tiny Bronco first before the omnislash will show up in the exchange for BP .

Added effect - Time is very helpful in weapon. Would recommend.
Just got omnislash on disk 1! Thanks for the tips! It was really useful!
Doesn’t mideel give more exp? You can reach parts of mideel with the bronco so you can fight mideel enemies a bit earlier than intended
@@jason1471 Mideel is correct, although I don't think you can get to the area with the little green insect things until disc 2
It IS easier than you think :D lets get em!.. Great Video Fuzz.. well put together.

Ya sell mastered alls and a few games of 🏀😂😅😂
I have personally used this method and won almost every single time. You sir are my new authority on old school final fantasy games
This game is the greatest joy of my childhood
I found an even easier way. If you have a turbo controller only. Go to the wonder square. 2 items will be needed. Turbo controller and an elastic. Go to the machine behind arm wrestling. Have cloud standing in front of the machine facing it from the playable area closest to the arm wrestling. Set up your analog stick with the elastic in the facing forward position. Have turbo set up To mash a. Then go watch a movie. Bout half hour you'll have 400
Step one: get the ribbon at the ancient ruins.... that's it. That's all you need. I did this in 1998.
Uh how where?
and BANG your first roll breaks your accessory, second roll turns you into a frog. Battle over
@@stripeycat69 Damn, super heartbreaking moment.
@@stripeycat69white wind 😂
Nope. I give up. Waiting til after temple of the ancients. The amount of enemies spamming sleep, stop, stone, and death is fucking infuriating
E s u n a
White Cape for frog and mini, element and destruct or odin to stop death, stone gives 30 sec for you can use a soft and heal materia to heal poison or regen to counter it. The status effects where getting me when I first tried getting omnislash pre temple. My problem was using jem ring to counter the stone and and using transform to cure frog and mini but the amount of times frog can happen makes it the more worthwhile status to block.
White Wind
Ribbon
John Mathew Exactly what this guy said, I recommend getting omnislash after you get your first ribbon in the temple of the ancients.
Omnislash is the best limit break in the game, until you start hitting the damage cap. In that case Yuffie’s limit breaks are better because they hit more times
Don't they both hit 15 times?
@@cristianpallares7565 Mime + Counter after using omnislash can make it hit 45 times, (mime+counter)+(couter+d.blow)+(d.blow+added cut) can make it hit crap loads more times.
Just set up materia to spam omnislash
At that point, Barret's Angermax does more damage
I think a good farming area is around mideel when u get the tiny bronco...those armor things give good exp...also u can morph them into guard source
Cheers Fuzz.
Just got the tiny bronco, going to do Wutai and grab a ribbon before I do this.
It has not changed. It's like Smash Bros. and stale moves still. 😅
Thanks so much for this cool vid. Learning new things about this classic every day 😂
I always use the sub game for my GP; quick, easy, and lucrative for the time invested.
Also not available on disc 1 as far as I remember.
I prefer the Junon Alarm grind, by that time, you have double materia growth weapons, and you spend an hour there and master All materias, you'll have ~3 All Materias at around the same level, so thats about 4 million Gil you get, before you even go to Cosmo Canyon... and you're back there for the Fort Condor battle 4 anyway, so might as well
Damn, I remember doing this back then. Was so worth it when you can basically one shot the last boss of disk one.
I strongly agree games. Like these are gems

Since Buffs stay on through the course of the battle arena, I like to include a Time materia in my setup - start the first fight by casting Haste and Regen and you'll keep them until round 6 or 7 out of 8
i like super dunk for gp. if you get the timing down you can get 100's of gp in minutes
That's how I got my GP every time, start off with the Kupo thing for your first bunch, then after Junon Alarm grind for 4 million gil, on the way back do the super dunk, quick and easy, 300gp every time (with practice)
A maxed steal materia is nice, as then you can start with full limit bar and use mug for you a normal attack.
i remember doing this when i was like 9 i got stuck in junon region cause i didnt know that the cannon was a town so i just kept farming the mandragora enemies and had my part to level 40 before i even entered junon. The battle square was a cake walk..also i always thought level 4 suicide would kill the user to do high damage to the target
Alternatively, if playing on Xbox, activate the right joystick click that gives you infinite health mp and limits and spam limit breaks.
Which ends your achievement gains.

wow....i didn't realize that there was a method to try get omnislash in disc one. when we played bit over 10 years a go ps 2 with my friend i think we only tried to get it late part at disc 2 i think.
Decimating Demons Gate with Omnislash... I need to do this next time. FOR GREAT JUSTICE
Hahahaha! I tried the same slot reels on Tifa's limit breaks so it will not land on a Miss and always YEAH YEAH YEAH on Beat Rush
you can get gp buy the tram walking between the station/tram screen look for the guy who will randomly show up by save point (Tram/golden saucer entrance)
He doesn't appear until disc 2
Battles in the Gold Saucer are less challenging on disc 1, and so this is actually easier to do.
Added Effect + Mystify along with Counterattack, add Seraph Comb and Howling Moon - Berserk status = Counterattacks that hurt like the Dickens
Thank you so much homie, I wouldn't have been able to get omnislash if it wasn't for this video I appreciate it bro you've gained a good sub 🙏💯
I was 10 when this game came out in 1997 and I was like 16 before I figured out how Limit Breaks are unlocked.
Basketball is quick GP and also beat the mog game once for a little chunk
I raised a gold choco and raced in order to rack up a ton of gp. You can get a large amount of gp by choosing that over the items if you don’t need the item reward.
True that that's usually the way I do it but this is a disc 1 guide
@@CPTDOOMED yes, that it is. And you can do all of what I listed as soon as you get the airship in disk one.

I just wanna say thank you. Your video was a tremendous help.
That Time x30 damage handicap ticked me off and sealing the item command
Jem ring more useful than white cape. Frog and mini are easily removed with a cornucopia or maiden kiss. Petrify is a game over and paralysis can really mess you up. Put added effect time materia in your armor to prevent stop
Item Lock + Enemy Skill lock + Materia lock +Mini = only able to do 1 damage... only option is escape, and it happens FAR more often than petri/paral
The game trolled me a bit but I got it done! I am level 50 at the moment and it was right after it was available in the battle square.
I was level 58 at this point with 2 max hp plus materia. Was a cakewalk.
If you have morph before challenging the battle arena, head to gongaga village and farm the heavy tanks for their power sources for a quick power boost, use yuffy with morph and her ultimate weapon so her damage isnt reduced. This tip is for those who havnt played the game 100 times like i have and still do.
Effing disk one!!! Got it and ready to kick ass!!!
I just want to say that you’re literally just better ik this video is old but I’m just starting the ff series and these fights were excruciating it took me like 340 gp to get the omnislash it took me 4 elixirs and 45 ethers I was freaking losing sooo bad
Also I didn’t know you can kinda choose what effects debuff you I was getting half hp and mp all the time and losing on the last 2 fights
You can buy GP at the entrance if you run in an out enough times for the dude to show up.
i remember doing on the original game, if you skip most random encounters and are able to get here under level 20 or 21, i forget the cutoff because that was quite some time ago, but the enemies you get in the arena will all be weak early game enemies with little to no negative status.
its probably the easiest way of getting disk 1 omnislash by far
You gotta get that Championship Belt and Speed Plus for my girl Tifa, and then she becomes an absolute juggernaut who KO’s mobs left and right.
actually you can find the gp seller if you enter and leave the entrance took me 20 times before they showed up but they do appear and wont be there next time you enter the area. but you can reload the room until they are there again.
Brilliant as ever Simon..Thanks 💪👍😎

@@WinspearUltima The BEST WAY To GET ALL That Stuff(Before Gongaga(You'll NEED A TOTAL Of LIKE "200,000+" BPs Is To DO The FOLLOWING:
1. FIRST, MAKE SURE You HAVE AT LEAST "500 GP"(300 MIGHT BE ENOUGH To SUFFICE For ALL THOSE ITEMS But It's CLOSE).
3. BEFORE You START FARMING FOR The "BPs", SPEAK TO The "Lady" At The "Bottom" Of The "Stairs" And Tell Her "Yes, Your There To Fight". Then, Go IN And START FARMING For Your "200,000+"(TOTAL) BPs. REASON I Say START WITH The "Champion Belt", Is BECAUSE It COSTS The "Most". After THAT, DO THE SAME For The "3 Speed Plus" Materia.
Always got the Omnislash in disc 1, so that Cloud could unleash it right after Aerith's death.
Ive never left it till disk 2-3 ive always got it on disk 1 and for the longest time I used to believe that i had to get everything from battle square on disk 1
Aeris + Great Gospel = Instant Win
I always got my GP with the basketball mini game.
Id just go on memory a lot of the time 😂
yeah, my golden rule, get omnislash after getting the tiny bronco
If you farm your limits in the mithril mines this becomes cake
Can you imagine if you were excited and bought the championship belt by accident.
Glad to see a later re-release kept them as Ice, Ice 2 and Ice 3, and not this modern Ice, Iceaga and Iceagogo or whatever it is. I bet they are called that in the re-make too. Look how they massacred my boy.
Going to try this tonight I have cloud at level 70 and I’m still on disk one.

Example: "Took less than an hour." * *Looks at total play time* * 🙄
I will say though you are very dedicated to your work, and it shows in the effort placed in your video.
You need to make sure you have the tiny bronco. Once you have it go back to the battle arena. Omnislash should be there then
… I ended up grinding so hard that I was level 61 at the battle arena. I got omni slash before temple of the ancients, but I killed everything before the bar filled up 😢
How do you get it to roll only materia?
Repeat then repeat, and maybe you'll get some materia, but you'll need to sell a mastered all materia so you'll have the Gil 16:49 ✌️ out
If you are don't like the chocobo minigame (like me) you can get 300 GP for every perfect game in the super dunk, once you get used to it it's almost imposible to lose
dude thanks for the video i plan on playing thought the game in live streams ill be adding this to my to do list for disk one SUB and LIKE for you bro
@FuzzfingerGaming I have been following your guide trying to get the platinum before the remake comes out. I went ahead and use your advice to get clouds last limit break. I ended up getting around 54,000 points in about 20 minutes then when I went to go buy it it was not there. XD I felt very stupid mostly because I tried to get it a little bit earlier than you did
I very nearly made this mistake.
I'm going to get myself a ribbon first.
The vid says the guy appears only on disc 2, so if you want Omnislash on disc 1 that's not an option.
1.4 million
Level 47 on disc 1! I doubt I'm level 47 even by the time complete the game. Getting GP and BP might not take that long but by the time you factor in the levelling required as well it's unlikely this is worth it, especially given that the lvl3 limits do more damage over time when taking into account the time required to charge the limit guage. I just normally get everyone's level 3 limits as soon as I reach the Junon area and that's fine for the rest of the game.
Still, interesting video that showed me some things I didn't know about the game like the Chocobo Racing stat.
