Can you re-record this or link to one similar that has your voice over or you talking through it? It's kind of hard to follow along without vocal cues, doing the moves and trying to keep an eye on the screen
NEW EPISODE! YOGA AT YOUR DESK! A sweet little video to assist you in sneaking a yoga break into your day. Open up your heart, chest, shoulders and neck. Stretch from front to back and side to side without leaving your chair! Open those hips and tend to low back. Breathe baby - breathe! Spread the love with your office! :-) Namaste.
Yoga With Adriene Hello! Just wanted to thank you for all the work you put into these and the positive attitude you have. I suffer from anxiety problems and therefore some shortness of breathe and I'm hoping yoga will help me. I have just started but I'm committed to the process. I can tell it's helping already! I'm glad there are so many different videos to work through in the coming months. Thanks for keeping it light and reminding us to smile. That goes a long way! :D
6 minutes of pure magic! 😍 Thank you. I would love a version with audible ques, so you could really relax and go inward instead of looking at the screen awaiting the next pose.
Just sent this to all of my colleagues. We have great workstations in the office, but as of yesterday, we're all working from home because of COVID-19. I don't want people to suffer because they don't have their regular resources. Adriene is awesome, the video is short enough to sneak into breaks w/ no trouble. Share widely.
AWESOME!!! This is the first time I have come across this particular Yoga with Adriene video. Much needed!!! As a writer, I hover over my laptop for several hours a day and this is just the thing to give my being a breather!
This is great, I loved it. I do wish it had audio though so I didn't have to keep looking up at the screen to see how much longer to hold the pose. Thank you!
I've noticed that the more I did the routine (I try and do this every morning at work when i come in) that I pretty quickly did not need to check the screen for release points, I naturally got in the flow and now even know what the next move/pose is by "body memory" :)
I’m an RN at Johns Hopkins and I just took a few minutes to help unwind before starting my shift. Thanks for helping me take better care of myself to take better care of my patients during this wild time. ❤️ 🩺
I am currently in the middle of the 30 Day Challenge. Halfway there. I had a chance to practice my yoga in the morning and have been at my desk for the past 12 hours - studying, working. So tired and overwhelmed, I was almost in tears and then I remembered you. Knew you'd have a solution for this. Thank you so much. Appreciate you and sending beautiful, wondrous vibes your way.
Just what FEARDROP said last year! To think 6 minutes & 10 seconds of intentional breathing and yoga at your desk makes the office feel lighter :) you are an amazing being, Adriene! Namaste
I have never never neeeever done yoga, am overweight and not flexible LOL! BUT, I followed along as best I could. I will continue to watch your videos and follow along as best I can and know that one day I will get to where I can do everything. :) But I am not rushing myself. Thanks for posting!
th-cam.com/video/VdIX8auOH_M/w-d-xo.html here is a video of a fat yogi owning their yoga practice. And I mean they could yoga circles around me, who is not fat. May it be an inspiration to whoever needs it.
With Fibromyalgia and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome this has enabled me to introduce some yoga into my daily routine (in 2020). A bigger deal than you may imagine! Thank you so much Adriene for sharing this video :)
a second into the video and i'm already crying my eyes out. kept crying through the video and still am. i used to do yoga daily for a few months last years. life happened and i couldnt keep it up. have been procrastinating yoga and feeling good for months now. had a unplanned break at work and, feeling pain in my body from sitting so much, decided to be impulsive and look for a quick yoga video. clicked this one. thank you adrienne. hope to see you soon.
Thank you for meeting us where we are at in our journey. I would love to not have a desk job, but for now I do, and this yoga break in the afternoon gives me the little push I need to make it through the rest of my work day. Thank you for sharing such joy, hope, and love. Namaste
I noticed myself almost get emotional with this video … even as I type this my eyes watered. Adriene, thank you for TRUE yoga. It's not only the asana .. it's also how you invite in a gentle self-awareness, breathwork, intention .. "a little goes a long way" has become a HUGE mantra for myself and for my clients. I was feeling so overwhelmed and over caffeinated at work today, and after doing some breathwork then watching this video a TOTAL shift occurred. It's like my inner child is thanking me for listening. I seriously love you and your work. Thank you for being an online medicine to millions of viewers.
CONNECTED day 4! Just woke up from a nap, sat down at my desk and was just about to start some work. Then I remembered today's practice was Yoga At Your Desk. Perfect! :) Thanks for this, Adriene! Will follow the other practice later today before I head to bed! Namasté
i have suffered from chronic migraines since I was a teenager (I'm 35 now), and, since starting my new job, my migraines have increased to almost daily. I am assuming it is caused by the fluorescent lighting in the office (I am used to working in residential facilities, where it is home lighting). I absolutely love my job more than any job I have ever had so quitting is not an option for me. I just tried this video after another migraine hit me and nearly incapacitated me again (last Thursday, I ended up having to leave early and go to the emergency room). I had to turn the sound off because the music got too loud and intense, but thankfully, there were captions. Honestly, this 6 minute video made a difference! Thank you, I am definitely going to save this for regular use! :)
I really like your videos, and liked this sequence with music and no words, but I never know when to end the exercise to keep following along...maybe you might add a bell when it is time to move to the other side or the next exercise?
I'm the opposite, I don't want to hear people's music and I rather hear them speak. I learn better with instructional dialogue and the personal touch so to speak. Not to mention not everyone digs the same music.
I ADORE this practice! I love that it is short and sweet. I also love that I can be visually guided with prompts instead of having to rely on sound. This way, I can re-center myself at my desk without disturbing my neighbor. Love you Adriene! Thank you!
Adriene you have no idea how much that moved me. And that wasn't even a heavy emotional yoga session! I cried doing it. Thank you so much for the light you bring to the world:)
Am working from home during the COVID quarantine and found myself suffering with new aches and pains due to lack of proper desk/chair. This short practicie has really helped re-balance my body again, and has significantly reduced my discomfort 😊
My wife and myself follow you doing the 30 days yoga program that you teach and with it we don’t need anything else but this particular area from the desk is amazing and helpful. You’re so awesome and an easy going yoga instructor. We want to thank you for that. 👏🙏
This was exactly what I needed today! Perfect work break, and as always, you have a wonderful talent of keeping your audience smiling and chuckling. Thank you Adriene...I've been doing YWA videos almost daily for the last two months, and life has gotten so Much brighter. You are amazing. Keep it up!!
I just did this with my grandma who is turning 90 in the summer. We had to simplify it a bit because of her mobility but we both enjoyed thoroughly! Thank you!
Adriene! I wanted to let you know- I'm a counselor at a cardiac/pulmonary rehab in Idaho and I have had the pleasure of incorporating this video into my mindfulness training with the chronically ill! It is gentle enough for all patients. Thank you thank you for your impact on multiple populations! I am also nearly done with the 30 days of yoga and could not be happier. A million thanks
i love how this is subtitled in case anyone wants to watch this in the office without any sound! and i just discovered your videos today! tried out the 20 minute one for beginners and feeling so much more relaxed now!
Thank you ~ love the simplicity of this perfect video. It's a quick, compassionate reminder of self love. It's nice to see how Adriene's sweet message and careful form has remained consistent over the years, even as it has evolved. That is why we can return to these classics again and again and the benefit remains strong and relevant.
Thank you so much! A nice quiet little ding or something to let us know to come out of the pose when we are twisting or have our eyes closed would be so lovely.
Thank you Adriene! I’m following the September 2018 calendar and this is the first time I’m seeing this particular video. At first I was frustrated because I didn’t have your vocal cues. However, as I kept going, it just flowed. It was a nice reminder to stay flexible in life. Not everything is going to present itself in a way that we’re used to. The key is to be able to flow when things are unfamiliar and be patient with ourselves (and others). Thank you for this subtle message I found within this practice. As Bruce Lee said: “Be water, my friend.” Thank you for reminding me to be water 🙏🏻✨💜🌊 Namaste!
Love Love Love this video!!! I try to do this every morning at my desk and it's remarkable the difference I feel in my upper back and shoulders! Thank you for this Adriene!
I have started working online and I have been tired and have sore shoulders. This is what I do when I take breaks, and the office break too. It gives me such a nice lift. I can feel the blood starting to move and my energy rush back! So cool!
Tried this this morning after waking after a terrible nights sleep with stiff neck shoulders and pain in jaw ( I have TMD) this has really helped and I now feel I can actually sit at my desk for a while today now whereas before was thinking today was going to be dreadfully painful day. THANK YOU x
I found this when I needed, it's a lifesaver for a quick break while writing my papers, which I off course waited to write till the very last moment. Thanks for helping me find some stretching and calmness during all the stress lol
Wow, did this ever come along at the right time! I've just taken a leave of absence from my job as a kindergarten educator. Now I'll be teaching college online and taking university courses online at the same time. I imagine I will be coming back to this video every. single. day. Thank you, Adriene!
This was *AMAZING* I enjoyed every moment, but I am wondering if you have a similar video that walks us through this routine with audio ques. I found myself looking at the screen a little to often for my liking
This is perfect. I have a back injury form a year ago and I'm trying to build the habit of stretching throughout the day to minimize pain. This is short enough for a quick break and I know I won't overextend myself. Thank you!
Definitely will be using this when I'm forced back in the office. For now I am keeping up the full videos in yoga camp. Love this idea as I get rooted to my chair and forget to move x I love you Adrienne
I forgot about this video and just worked it in today. Thankful for the recognition that some days, time and circumstances demand a short yoga sanity break. 😍
Hi Adrienne, I just wanted to let you know that me and my daughter REALLY appreciate your videos! She is a young preteen girl who is currently doing remote learning online as all of the schools are currently closed to Covid Virus. This is a Very tough time for everyone but your yoga videos make life a little more bearable! Your videos are really helping her to stay calm and focus and she Especially likes the video of Yoga at your Desk. Keep doing what you do which is being Awesome!!!!!
Loved this but would have preferred your voice giving instructions rather than the music. It’s hard to know when to change position if you have your head between your knees 🤣 people have the choice of sound on or off.
Nice part two of Yoga today!!! Nice to shake it up with some silent practice (no vocal cues, just written instructions) with music!!! Feeling good after Yoga for classroom/desk; posture and concentration work for when I go back to school on Thursday.
Adriene it has been 11 months since I started my yoga journey with you (1 year anniversary coming up) I had just come back from an all woman's retreat in Cali where I had a little yoga sesh with some of my sisters and I just fell in love with yoga. I came home and looked up "Yoga for beginners" and you were the first to really interest me, I was instantly hooked. Maybe because you make me feel like were homies lol. My 3 and 9 year old will join and so will my fiance. We laugh with you, learn, and relax with you. You have truly been a joy to watch in our home. Thank you!!!! By the way I'm originally from Houston, Texas but moved to Phoenix, AZ any chance you're coming this way?
I do this at school. I'm glad I found this video because for the first 7 periods I just sit and listen to my teacher and all that. But my last class is PE and it's usually painful because my legs aren't used to being active and my feet hurt and stuff. This has been helping wake up my body a little bit. Thanks so much!
This is so lovely, thank you for making this kind of content available! I am currently showing up at your 30 days of Yoga camp and it's a game changer- ran out of the house for work this morning but craved my yoga fix at the desk :D haha Have a magical day! xx
This was such a wonderfully relaxing sequence. I could feel space in my upper back and neck and they have been killing me. Thank you for the amazing content and everything you do :)
fabulous thank you so much for all you give to your viewers, you have made it possible for me, I am new to yoga, I have wanted to start for years but have never been motivated to join a class through fear ! Gratitude x
I love you! You have helped me with my endometriosis pain with your chronic pain video. I love it that whenever I am feeling any pain in my neck, have a migraine, have sore legs or whatever I can search for one of your videos and do them and feel much better!
Just did this for a break between studying; absolutely wonderful!! This might become a daily thing now ;) Also, WONDERFUL music! Thanks Adriene!! :-) :-)
I'm a security guard with back problems and foot numbness. Doing this at receptionist desk with 3 cameras taping this area. Hopefully management won't give me a hard time about doing yoga at work. Maybe I could tell them it's my religion or I have a disability or something.
Adding this to my daily routine!! I felt a little silly even pressing play but it was BRILLIANT to type the cues so that I could practice without cuing all my colleagues into what I was doing!! Thank you for this awesome video!!!
I love this short practice so much! I'm always doing it, when I have to sit for too long at the desk. My body says a big thank you every time afterwards :)
I usually do a 10 - 20 minute yoga practice every morning but today I had not time... I just got to the office and felt like something was missing and your video fixed that! Thank you!
Great video. I wish you had spoke the directions instead of writing it out (since I had to keep looking up to make sure I wasn't releasing too soon) but overall a great video. Love them all. ^_^
@YogaWithAdrienne you’re such a blessing to the world. Thank you for this awesome vid. The little notes to smile keep me going through rough work days. Hope you can do another one of these soon. Be well
i didn't have my yoga mat at home this morning and was looking for a quick thing i could do on a chair. trying to break the perfectionist mind. and it was amazing. adriene you have an encyclopedia here, something for every situation - a real treasure, and all for free. so much love.
maybe learn how to multitask as EVERYBODY ELSE that watched this video and actually got it. (pause it after she has given the instructions? use your brain man)
(I don't know why the replies to this are so needlessly negative?) Watch the video once through so you know the general sequence, and then just sneak peeks in between movements!
It's 2020 and this is still the quickest and most effective yoga routine at your desk! Thank you Adriene
Wow, I forgot that the music in this one gets pretty rowdy. Aspirational to the max! Hahaha enjoy!
+Yoga With Adriene: name of the last song please? :D
+Yoga With Adriene I listen to this video sometimes just for the music! Relaxes me before I even start any "yogaing" at my desk.
+Hoanganh Dinh I think it's called Constance by Mr. J. Medeiros
+Maaarshmelli: Your comment made my day, thank you so much!
Hoanganh Dinh You're very welcome :)
it's 2023 and this mini practice still makes me feel so much more alive when i'm at work! Thanks Adriene!
Can you re-record this or link to one similar that has your voice over or you talking through it? It's kind of hard to follow along without vocal cues, doing the moves and trying to keep an eye on the screen
I’d love this too. TH-cam makes doing so really hard, but I hope Adrienne can find a way.
I agree 💯 your voice is so calming and would make this easier to follow while working.
NEW EPISODE! YOGA AT YOUR DESK! A sweet little video to assist you in sneaking a yoga break into your day. Open up your heart, chest, shoulders and neck. Stretch from front to back and side to side without leaving your chair! Open those hips and tend to low back.

Thanks. We've been looking for this exact episode at the spa. We will have everyone do it tomorrow.
Perfect ,I will forward your video to those I know working at the office.
***** Thank Win!

Hi Adriene. Could you let me know what is the name of the backgroud musics?
6 minutes of pure magic! 😍 Thank you. I would love a version with audible ques, so you could really relax and go inward instead of looking at the screen awaiting the next pose.
i second this 🤍
I third this. I find myself straining my neck to look at the screen, which counteracts the benefits I had been getting till I do so. haha.
Just sent this to all of my colleagues. We have great workstations in the office, but as of yesterday, we're all working from home because of COVID-19. No audio is a bonus, once I get the moves I’ll remember what to do 🤩
Somehow you just know.

This is one of my favorite simple ditties to do. Crazy how six minutes can completely shift your perspective.
I have never never neeeever done yoga, am overweight and not flexible LOL! BUT, I followed along as best I could. I will continue to watch your videos and follow along as best I can and know that one day I will get to where I can do everything. :) But I am not rushing myself. Thanks for posting!
how’s life Denise? i hope you’re still continuing along the mindfulness journey. be blessed and stay beautiful
You can do it! Keep at it!
That's all we can do really is try😉💜
You can do this, Denise! Cheering for you!

I noticed myself almost get emotional with this video … even as I type this my eyes watered. Adriene, thank you for TRUE yoga. Thank you Adriene! This is a lovely class to help those who sit a lot during the day. I love the music and your energy. Beautiful! :-)
Awesome. Two of my favorite yoga instructors
I loved this music too! Just what I needed in the middle of my work day, picked me right up! :)

Adrienne y r u not answering my questions . Please reply . It is hard to follow this video when u r not talking the poses
A quick yet rewarding alternative to the longer practice I favor when time permits. Thanks, Adriene!
CONNECTED day 4!
Just woke up from a nap, sat down at my desk and was just about to start some work. Then I remembered today's practice was Yoga At Your Desk. Perfect! :)
Thanks for this, Adriene! Will follow the other practice later today before I head to bed!

I had the same problem. A bell or something similar would make this type of video perfect! :)
I'm the opposite, I don't want to hear people's music and I rather hear them speak. I learn better with instructional dialogue and the personal touch so to speak. Not to mention not everyone digs the same music.
I swiveled in my chair so I could see 😉
@@messycook yup, me too.
Exact my comment - miss the marks or voice to switch to next exercise :(

I forgot about this video and just worked it in today. Thankful for the recognition that some days, time and circumstances demand a short yoga sanity break. 😍
Adrienne this video make me cry and I love the freedom that provides... In tears my friend. 😇
Somehow this sequence let a lot of emotions just... go. I add my own playlist to maximum releasing.
I do this every shift I’m at work and I’m always amazed at how awesome I feel after. Thank you so much
That felt awesome! Thanks Adriene. Will definitely be coming back to this one during my workdays.
Thus definitely needed audio ❤
Hi Adrienne, I just wanted to let you know that me and my daughter REALLY appreciate your videos! She is a young preteen girl who is currently doing remote learning online as all of the schools are currently closed to Covid Virus. This is a Very tough time for everyone but your yoga videos make life a little more bearable! Your videos are really helping her to stay calm and focus and she Especially likes the video of Yoga at your Desk. Keep doing what you do which is being Awesome!!!!!
Bless you for the captions. Really makes sitting through meetings all day bearable!
More like this please!!! In your chair, same length, same type of music! Literally everything about this is perfect
So nice Adriene! You are my very first yoga instructor
Loved this but would have preferred your voice giving instructions rather than the music. It’s hard to know when to change position if you have your head between your knees 🤣 people have the choice of sound on or off.
You realise this was made 9 years ago. If you’ve watched any of her newer videos you’d know she has transitioned to giving verbal instructions.
Somehow you know.
Nice part two of Yoga today!!! Nice to shake it up with some silent practice (no vocal cues, just written instructions) with music!!! Feeling good after Yoga for classroom/desk; posture and concentration work for when I go back to school on Thursday.
This was wonderfuuuuul, thank you Adriene, as always I can't stop smiling while watching your videos, we are all feeling your vibe.
I feel yours too! Thank you Melissa! Love the connect here!

True, I'm always smiling when watching your videos Adriene! Great vibe and great lessons :-)
I have been feeling frazzled of late (mind unsettled, dis-eased) and so I did this brief session and it felt SO. GOOD.
I probably do this routine at least twice a week at my desk. It’s a real life saver.
I do this at school. I'm glad I found this video because for the first 7 periods I just sit and listen to my teacher and all that. But my last class is PE and it's usually painful because my legs aren't used to being active and my feet hurt and stuff. This has been helping wake up my body a little bit. Thanks so much!
This was awesome! Just what I needed! Thanks so much Adrienne!
Thank you!! I always feel so much better after any of your yoga, even short bursts of yoga. May you be blessed 💕
This is so lovely, thank you for making this kind of content available! I am currently showing up at your 30 days of Yoga camp and it's a game changer- ran out of the house for work this morning but craved my yoga fix at the desk :D haha Have a magical day! xx
A small precious yoga diamond! 💎
This was such a wonderfully relaxing sequence. I could feel space in my upper back and neck and they have been killing me. Thank you for the amazing content and everything you do :)
Thank you for your instruction. Life is between STRESS and STRETCH.
Totally read all this in your voice! Lovely workout to have a break from the piles of essays x
Hahah, yes! I love it. XO Big love.
That music sounds nice and so did the rap music
Felt amazing Adrienne. Thank you!
fabulous thank you so much for all you give to your viewers, you have made it possible for me, I am new to yoga, I have wanted to start for years but have never been motivated to join a class through fear ! Gratitude x
You are my hero. I needed that. Thank you.
I love you! You have helped me with my endometriosis pain with your chronic pain video. I love it that whenever I am feeling any pain in my neck, have a migraine, have sore legs or whatever I can search for one of your videos and do them and feel much better!
Just one more reason I am glad to have found your channel! :3
Yes! Glad you are in this family!
My absolute favorite! Thanks, Adriene!!!
Just did this for a break between studying; absolutely wonderful!! This might become a daily thing now ;) Also, WONDERFUL music! Thanks Adriene!! :-) :-)
Yes! So good! And just a mindful 6 min!! xoxoxo Love!
Always good to rediscover some Adriene videos, particularly when working from home during Easter! Thank you, my lovely. Much love xxx
I'm a security guard with back problems and foot numbness. Doing this at receptionist desk with 3 cameras taping this area. Hopefully management won't give me a hard time about doing yoga at work. Maybe I could tell them it's my religion or I have a disability or something.
Dog, just tell em you're doing neck yoga so your job doesn't exacerbate your issues. Shouldn't be a problem
5 minutes yoga in your desk will be ok ... they will understand.
@@jessicahelton8245 Yeah, that's better than paying for a Worker's Comp claim!
Tell them it was recommended by a physiotherapist or chiropractor to prevent back and neck problems etc.
Your health is first
Omgosh, I just did old skool yoga with Adrienne 🙌🏽🫶🏽
Adding this to my daily routine!! I felt a little silly even pressing play but it was BRILLIANT to type the cues so that I could practice without cuing all my colleagues into what I was doing!! Thank you for this awesome video!!!
I love this short practice so much! I'm always doing it, when I have to sit for too long at the desk. My body says a big thank you every time afterwards :)
Such a fun video... Thank you!
Thank you! I really needed this today. ❤
I don't recommend this in a broken chair like mine but I still love this!
also in a officechair with wheels, it's kind of tricky :D
I usually do a 10 - 20 minute yoga practice every morning but today I had not time... I just got to the office and felt like something was missing and your video fixed that! Thank you!
Sneaking this in on the sluggiest Monday of this year!
Thank you so much Adrienne from Sydney, Australia
Great video. I wish you had spoke the directions instead of writing it out (since I had to keep looking up to make sure I wasn't releasing too soon) but overall a great video. Love them all. ^_^
@YogaWithAdrienne you’re such a blessing to the world. Thank you for this awesome vid. The little notes to smile keep me going through rough work days. Hope you can do another one of these soon. Be well
you are so beautiful and calming!
Love to you.
I sit at my desk for 12 hour shifts and take my lunch sitting at my desk as well due to the nature of my job. This is VERY much a welcome respite. :D
This is some good sh*t. Been looking for some beginner yoga for a while now. Great video
I came across this video on such a tired and overwhelmed day at work and i'm very grateful for it... thank you adriene
What is the inspirational music called??
i didn't have my yoga mat at home this morning and was looking for a quick thing i could do on a chair. trying to break the perfectionist mind. and it was amazing. adriene you have an encyclopedia here, something for every situation - a real treasure, and all for free. so much love.
It's nearly impossible to follow along with no voice instruction. How am I supposed to read the cues while I'm nodding and shaking my head??
Maybe so your coworkers cannot hear that you are doing yoga instead of working???? LOL
maybe learn how to multitask as EVERYBODY ELSE that watched this video and actually got it. (pause it after she has given the instructions? use your brain man)
(I don't know why the replies to this are so needlessly negative?)
Watch the video once through so you know the general sequence, and then just sneak peeks in between movements!
Slow the play speed down, I play at half speed do the moves and then take some deep breaths while waiting for the next move.
Watch it in advance so you already know some of the sequence
