This whole band is so pure, it is a relief to find something like them, instead of the typical country nowadays. Chris is magnificent, voice and all. Plus he's a great fucking song writer.

back before Chris was "famous" Many of us KNEW the genius of Chris, not only with Steel Drivers but with Jompson Brothers, so it was no surprise to hear him on country stations with TN whiskey...I'm so glad I got to see Chris when he was with Steel Drivers and Jompson brothers. both some of the best shows i've ever seen, and he surrounds himself with musicians/singers who are as equally as talented.
I would so love that! It may just be that the first experience I had with the Steeldrivers' music was with Chris in it, but the newer lead vocalist sucks compared to him lol. Chris is awesome!

Shortly there after I ordered one of their tapes & it's one of my most prized possession....right up there with Bachman Turner Overdrive, Creedance Clearwater Revival & certain Original Roots of the Blue Grass Era,....!! this is a phenomenal group & you will like their albums! the one I purchased is the Steel Drivers album 'n I absolutely love it...goes every where w/me..!!
