Amazing what you can do with a G--D-Am chord sequence - especially in the right hands. I knew about the current Chris but a chance meeting brought me to this band and the bluegrass connection. SteelDrivers on my playlist now.
I got to meet Chris and his wife this spring. I admit I wasn't familiar w his older stuf w SD's. This song speaks to me on so many levels. As another poster said it hits you right in your soul. Please Nashville. More Chris Stapleton and Steeldriver style bands. Less soulless Pop-Country.
If you're taking a trip out in the country, slide the CD "The Steeldrivers" in and crank it up. I dare you to be in a bad mood when you arrive at your destination. Great driving music!
Im just discovering the name of this song. Used to hear it in the car as a kid and it randomly started playing after my playlist finished. Ive knew Chris Stapleton from when he released Tennessee Whisky so when i heard Heaven Sent for the first time i was like “Hey thats Chris Stapleton”. I never realised Steeldrivers was the his band before 😂😂 This song makes me cry like a baby though, this is my favourite song out of the huge array of hits under their belt and Chris’s belt. 🤙🏼
Can't help getting emotional about these songs. It's like you don't know what's missing in your life, ...but once you notice it you regret the time lost but look forward to getting the most out of it from now on; his voice is like, pure good old bourbon whiskey.
Steel drivers are heaven sent. ❤ The band makes the singer. But a great singer can make a great band. And this band by far sits at the pinnacle of country bluegrass even attracting young listeners and old. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Saw these guys at a small camping festival in the woods in 2014 called the Acoustic Cafe. Very intimate performance, and this song has stuck with me ever since and actually brought me to tears when I heard it live. Amazing band.
Great Musicians Great singing and songwriting by Chris Stapleton. After the CMA awards people know who he is now. What a wonderful sound this song creates.
BPearthwatch brought me to The Steeldrivers with 'where rainbows go to die'. I listen to this band (and his wife) every day. So many beautiful tunes...so many favorites!
Just saw them for the first time at Rhythm and Roots Festival in Bristol, TN/VA and they were awesome!! The new singer is as good as Chris Stapleton to me. Just loved them!!
Greyfox is the most amazing place in the world, i recommend anyone going! I went and saw them live and got my shirt signed by each of them, it was amazing! So much fun :D
BTW, something positive as opposed to my last... I'm not a big Bluegrass fan as much but I do listen and respect it immensely (my dad was the big Bluegrass fan in the family)... it's as beautiful an art form as Jazz, Classical or Rock (except for Lady Gaga or Justin Bieber, LOL!). Man, this singer has some serious tone & timbre in his voice... I would LOVE to hear him sing some blues! The banjo player ROCKS, the fiddle player is sweet & tasteful... the whole band is incredibly smooth!
I effing love that the crowd realized what they are witnessing. World class vocals, and works class instrumentals by his band. Sad he went “solo”. This is better than any music he’s ever made since he became a solo artist
@@anselmoa8352 agree to disagree. I’ve seen him in concert 3 times in the last 2 years, and the steeldrivers stuff is IMO better than almost everything since. Sure there’s about 5-10 songs that are epic from his “solo” work, but wouldn’t call them better
Thanks for letting me know! I can't wait to see them live! Can you believe that they have only had 3,562 views?? I think there music is Great. Strange how they do not get much recognition. Kevin ....AKA.... "Fungulate"
Check out the rest of this wonderful set of music!

Her singing and fiddle playing is heaven sent.
Agreed!
this band is much better in person then on albums and they're pretty much sublime on their albums so you can only imagine
Buddy ro, I think we all can agree nowadays.
Keep coming back to hear this song
Thanks Willie!
That banjo solo was sick!
The Best ever !
They’re all unreal… 🤯
Thankyou lord I have finally found the greatest song ever made
I am Form Somalia and Chris Stapleton I admire him and his original band millionaire waaw

This Band is real Special, it's pretty rare when you find this much talent in single band. I sure would Love to see them live in person!!!
my all time fav group now. I can drink to this music, sleep to this music, work to this music and oh yea....I'm in love with the fiddle player haha!
She is ultra amazing! I heard that Chris wrote a lot of songs for other bands in Nashville
She is a bit of a dish...

Why the hell does this only have 70,000 views?!?!

Me too! How did I not know they exist until 2 days ago??!!! KSSL, 94.1 Lubbock, TX is where I heard 'em!!!
His voice made that band! Something different than all the ordinary. 😃
Beautiful song I keep coming back to after all these years. Thank you

They are really, really fantastic. Chris's voice is just so unique...wow!

Stapleton is one of those people that will be talked about 100 years later
They Played Last year at MerleFest in North Wilksboro NC and rocked it as usual.....

Just the salve to soothe the soul in these uncertain days

Just so, so sweet.
Virtuoso fiddle.
Magnificent voices.

Hello 👋
My son told me about this band. Great music.
Just saw them for the first time at Rhythm and Roots Festival in Bristol, TN/VA and they were awesome!! The new singer is as good as Chris Stapleton to me. Just loved them!!
Perfect! Not many artists can reproduce album quality (or better) sound live.
Too many "artists" are auto tune studio wonders in my opinion.
Greyfox is the most amazing place in the world, i recommend anyone going! I went and saw them live and got my shirt signed by each of them, it was amazing! So much fun :D
Wow! What a fantastic performance. Those people were lucky!
I don't really listen to this sort of music much but I like this
1:40 the smile from him as she ends her solo is amazing, it’s the little things.
Love love love his voice, just like sugar syrup and sunshine.....
Love your 🎶🎵🎶 videos... Bluegrass music is Fantastic!!!

Incredible voices and great playing. Altogether a great tune. Wish I could have been there.
Acustic guitar, string Bass, and if you ain't got a fiddle, well you ain't got shit! Love your work!
Such a good band. With or without Chris.
BoiseG Greet Words, and Greet cycle, where are you from?
The Steeldrivers 1st two albums are classic. So good.
Nice, i really enjoyed this.
Awsome bumch of musicians. Great harmonies and fine pickin'

Favorite Banjo Solo Ever. Even edges out the banjo solo in David Lee Roth’s Bluegrass version of Jump.
Love this Song !!!!!
This song is perfect. I like my bluegrass voice to come from a big bearded guy.

Chris is such a ripper. Look at that hat!!
And the smiles on their faces… they too must realise that there’s something unique happening between them

Kelsey Curtis
lol. that's exactly what I thought as well..
I effing love that the crowd realized what they are witnessing. World class vocals, and works class instrumentals by his band. Sad he went “solo”. This is better than any music he’s ever made since he became a solo artist
I agree ... his early work and This Line Up was THE BEST EVER!🎵🎶🎵
Better than*.... No sir. This guy was ,is, and will always be GREAT.

Slayed that fiddle.
The best songs Chris Stapleton ever wrote was when he was with the Steeldrivers !!!!!
What a band!
I really feel like if they made a push today they’d blow up!! So damn good.
I wonder if Chris ever thought back then that he’d be as big as he is today.
please come to Amsterdam!!
YES YES!
True! Most have no real clue when it comes to music
