Im just discovering the name of this song. Used to hear it in the car as a kid and it randomly started playing after my playlist finished. Ive knew Chris Stapleton from when he released Tennessee Whisky so when i heard Heaven Sent for the first time i was like “Hey thats Chris Stapleton”. I never realised Steeldrivers was the his band before 😂😂 This song makes me cry like a baby though, this is my favourite song out of the huge array of hits under their belt and Chris’s belt. 🤙🏼
Amazing what you can do with a G--D-Am chord sequence - especially in the right hands. I knew about the current Chris but a chance meeting brought me to this band and the bluegrass connection. SteelDrivers on my playlist now.
If you're taking a trip out in the country, slide the CD "The Steeldrivers" in and crank it up. I dare you to be in a bad mood when you arrive at your destination. Great driving music!
I got to meet Chris and his wife this spring. I admit I wasn't familiar w his older stuf w SD's. This song speaks to me on so many levels. As another poster said it hits you right in your soul. Please Nashville. More Chris Stapleton and Steeldriver style bands. Less soulless Pop-Country.
Can't help getting emotional about these songs. It's like you don't know what's missing in your life, ...but once you notice it you regret the time lost but look forward to getting the most out of it from now on; his voice is like, pure good old bourbon whiskey.
Saw these guys at a small camping festival in the woods in 2014 called the Acoustic Cafe. Very intimate performance, and this song has stuck with me ever since and actually brought me to tears when I heard it live. Amazing band.
Steel drivers are heaven sent. ❤ The band makes the singer. But a great singer can make a great band. And this band by far sits at the pinnacle of country bluegrass even attracting young listeners and old. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
BTW, something positive as opposed to my last... I'm not a big Bluegrass fan as much but I do listen and respect it immensely (my dad was the big Bluegrass fan in the family)... it's as beautiful an art form as Jazz, Classical or Rock (except for Lady Gaga or Justin Bieber, LOL!). Man, this singer has some serious tone & timbre in his voice... I would LOVE to hear him sing some blues! The banjo player ROCKS, the fiddle player is sweet & tasteful... the whole band is incredibly smooth!
Great Musicians Great singing and songwriting by Chris Stapleton. After the CMA awards people know who he is now. What a wonderful sound this song creates.
Greyfox is the most amazing place in the world, i recommend anyone going! I went and saw them live and got my shirt signed by each of them, it was amazing! So much fun :D
BPearthwatch brought me to The Steeldrivers with 'where rainbows go to die'. I listen to this band (and his wife) every day. So many beautiful tunes...so many favorites!
Just saw them for the first time at Rhythm and Roots Festival in Bristol, TN/VA and they were awesome!! The new singer is as good as Chris Stapleton to me. Just loved them!!
Thanks for letting me know! I can't wait to see them live! Can you believe that they have only had 3,562 views?? I think there music is Great. Strange how they do not get much recognition. Kevin ....AKA.... "Fungulate"
Check out the rest of this wonderful set of music!

Hello 👋
Just saw them for the first time at Rhythm and Roots Festival in Bristol, TN/VA and they were awesome!! The new singer is as good as Chris Stapleton to me. Just loved them!!
Yall was a perfect match for playing the best music I've heard in 50 years lol 😆but I'm 55 ?
Incredible voices and great playing. Altogether a great tune. Wish I could have been there.
I really feel like if they made a push today they’d blow up!! So damn good.
so good!
Perfect! Not many artists can reproduce album quality (or better) sound live.
Too many "artists" are auto tune studio wonders in my opinion.
god i love bluegrass
The Steeldrivers 1st two albums are classic. So good.
Wow! What a fantastic performance. Those people were lucky!
I love this song! You guys r awesome!!! So inspiring!
love it!! awwww music
Nice, i really enjoyed this.
Great song and terrific musicianship. It just doesn't get any better. BTW,the banjo player looks like "Tickle " from moonshiners :)

I wonder if Chris ever thought back then that he’d be as big as he is today.
True! Most have no real clue when it comes to music

Acustic guitar, string Bass, and if you ain't got a fiddle, well you ain't got shit! Love your work!

Favorite Banjo Solo Ever. Even edges out the banjo solo in David Lee Roth’s Bluegrass version of Jump.
Thanks for letting me know! I can't wait to see them live! Can you believe that they have only had 3,562 views?? I think there music is Great. Strange how they do not get much recognition. Kevin ....AKA.... "Fungulate"
His voice, the way he sings and the band are wonderful! This music goes straight to the heart. But... why does the violin plays nearly all the time?
The best songs Chris Stapleton ever wrote was when he was with the Steeldrivers !!!!!
(L) this song. makes me so happy.
he is the jerry garcia of bluegrass
Can you imagine them playing together!?!?!
