Thanks Jason, this explanation was the best clean version i have seen; no distractive talk and a perfect tempo... not so fast like others do.. didn't need to hit my spacebar at all! 🙃

Very informative! I'm guilty of using one preset and stomps most of the time, but I'm always amazed seeing how deep one can dive into the abilities of the Helix. Thanks!

Great info as always Jason. Since I have an LT i can't get 19 snaps on mine, so i hate when I download free presets and the maker has more than 6 or 8 snaps in the preset so then I cant use the full potential of the preset. Otherwise I prefer Stomp/Snap mode usually.

Great tips! I just upgraded from the Stomp to a Helix Lt. I have many questions, I'll watch many of your videos. Good to see you on TGP as well, even though it requires thick skin because people can be rude. The biggest thing I'm trying to figure out now is my noise gate. I wish I could set the noise gate globally so I don't have to keep adjusting it for each preset Any tips on that as well as the settings would be really cool. It seems to default around -45 decibels and I even moved it to -35 decibels sometimes when I rehearse with my metal band. I play bass a lot right now so I also wish there was a global setting that adjusted for for bass and switched all the settings globally. I'm not sure how to use some of the overdrives for bass.... Should I modify the tone settings for a bass, like cut the treble "knob" on the "pedal", or is it already calibrated properly for a bass? I'll look through your videos in the manual for answers but I know sometimes you like ideas so I'm just shooting a couple questions to you. Thank you! JD

Be sure to join the Helix owners Facebook group as well. Lots of informative owners there including Jason who can help.

Is there a way when I ad a effect to snapshot one and save it I have to turn off that effect on all the other snapshots, I don't want to have to turn off that effect on all the other snapshot.

When you copy the first snap to snap 2 etc turn it off and then go back to snap 1 to turn it on and save it and use the off version snap 2 to copy the rest and tweak then as needed for your full preset of settings with multiple snaps.

I have the Helix LT and noticed it does not have the Stomp Mode Switches option. Bummer!

Why can't Helix lt have the 10 stomp mode? This and aux in are the only thing I would love to add to my lt

I feel your pain as am LT owner as well yeah they want you to get the full Helix for 10 snaps but other than that tht LT is great for $500 less abs or has everything else unless you need tht more
I/Os which i dont.. the designed the LT before they vane out with the Command center update so they wanted to be sure you had an up/ down button or tuner/ tap tempo button always available and on the LT you don't have the extra two buttons like on full Helix.

With the addition of the Command Center, you're no longer stuck with the very restrictive few options for 'Preset Mode Switches' in the Global Menu for footswitches. All along Helix should have let you program the switches individually, after all there's on 10 or maybe 11 that can actually change. SADLY.... it's very complicated (but possible) to get say, 2 footswitches to control Snapshots, and the rest that are available to control stomps. For some (not all) the PRESET stomp to gain access to the stomp switches is one extra press that shouldn't be needed if within a preset you only had 2 or 3 fx blocks you wanted to bypass/enable.
I do enjoy your tutorials.....For a follow up video, if you could show to set up the footswitches such that 2 or 3 switches controls Snapshots, while the other available footswitches control bypass/enable fx blocks (stomps) -- that would be VERY helpful.
