    The Line 6 Modelers are brilliantly designed, and versatile. I've frequently discovered that something I wish it could do is something it can do! Thanks

    Thank you again for reminding us about all the useful features on the Helix , which most of us have forgotten about . You did another video on tweaking the helix on the fly, which I also completely forgot about. I can’t tell you how much that has helped me since that video. Thank you for all you do for all of us all the time .

    Sold my LT due to financial issues, but borrowed HX Stomp from a friend that is on the war right now. Still love HX products. And your videos!

    I've had my Helix for over 3 years and still find out more about it.

    I appreciate the recap, Jason. I just pulled my Helix out of storage and am having to do a bit of a refresher course👍

    I never had a clue about the user defaults. Good stuff

    I use the user defaults for the stock cabs...best move I ever made. I have set all of the Mono cabs to a SM-57, off axis and on the cap edge, 1.5 inch distance, with no low or high cuts. Now...when I pull up any amp, I go through each cab and I have a pretty good idea immediately of what the cabs sound like when there is no influence of the microphone, distance or axis. Once I dial a cab into something that I really like...it obviously ends up in the favorites, but I still keep the mono cab to my user default. I kind of wish that there was a global setting that would allow me to change the mic for the cabs, so that on all cabs it is a SM-57, or if I choose, a R-121...etc. Anyway...I think my first request on the Idea Scale was for user presets back in 2015 and my second was for user defaults. Glad that both were included. Now if I could just get a power amp on its own...life would be grand LOL! Great video BTW!!!

    Great video, Jason! I wonder why Line 6 did not allow for amps to be saved as Favorites.

    Excellent stuff Jason 👋 Are either favorites or user defaults shareable/usable across different Helix products? I'm using an HX Effects with a real Mark VII amp, and currently dialing in tones inserting an HX Stomp in its place - primarily to have a redundancy solution in the event of amp failure. I also just acquired a Helix Floor, and I'd like to bring the new HX Stomp tones over to it, and this looks like a nice way to do that, as I can't just copy presets.

    Hey Jason, I'm using an HX stomp and Tonex together with an expression pedal and Boss RC - 30 looper on a pedalboard. Would I or should I use a buffer pedal?

    • @JasonSadites
      @JasonSadites  ปีที่แล้ว

      I don't see any reason to use one. How is it all sounding without?

    • @JoeAmaral427

      Sounds ok - but needs a little more dialing in. Which is part of the fun! Thanks for the quick reply.

      I did get rid of them all but have re-acquired a lot for some specific projects that required them :-)

    I use favourites for basically everything. The thing that REALLY SUCKS is the list isn't sorted when you pick a block on the helix hardware. It's in order of when they were created, with the newest right at the bottom.

    • @picksalot1
      @picksalot1 ปีที่แล้ว

      At about 2:25 in the video, he said and pointed out that Favorites can be organized by Category or Alphabetical. This is something I didn't know, and is why I watch his videos.

    • @NedJeffery
      @NedJeffery ปีที่แล้ว

      @@picksalot1No that's the thing. you can sort on HX edit and in Native. But NOT on the Helix itself!!! Which is where it's most needed. Unless I'm a complete derp and just haven't figured it out yet. But trust me, I've tried.

      @@NedJeffery I think you may be in luck. On Page 16 of the HX Stomp Owner's Manual Rev D, in the section titled "Adding a Block to Favorites" it states:
      "4. OPTIONAL: From the Home - Edit screen, press the lower knob, choose the Favorites category within the Model list, select one of your Favorites, and press ACTION to manage them.
      To clear the selected favorite, press Clear Favorite
      To reorder the selected favorite up or down the list, turn Reorder Favorite
      To rename the selected favorite, press Rename Favorite"

      @@picksalot1 Yes that is true, I forgot about that. But It's not exactly what I was looking for. That is a manual sort. I was hoping for an automatic category sort. I guess I could just sit down for 20mins or so and re order everything manually. It's only going to be painful the first time. Thanks.
