    One common take on burnout in adolescents that I disagree with is the notion that burnout results solely from academic pressure and a lack of personal discipline. This perspective ignores broader systemic issues like unrealistic societal expectations, inadequate mental health support, and the pressure to succeed at a young age. By reducing burnout to a matter of individual choices or study habits, this view neglects the complex interplay of societal, familial, and personal factors. A holistic understanding of adolescent burnout requires acknowledging these broader pressures and addressing the underlying causes, rather than just attributing it to individual shortcomings or overachieving
