Buffett likes to say "the best thing to invest in is yourself"...meaning upgrading your skills, asking for the raise. It will give you more satisfaction out of life and more disposable income to put in the market sooner to have more compounding in your favor

In order for us to prepare for the future we need to look into safer investment with good prospect . If you have the mindset of investing 5 years ahead and just keep DCA every time you get paid. My portfolio have accrued gains of about $130k under the guidance of my investment -Advisor' Loreen Michelle Gilbert "" whose skills in portfolio diversification are unmatched and client-centered.

    Points (4:33):
    #1 Read more books.
    - Read the books that help you solve your problems. Books are the tools that release the heavens of our minds. You become what you study.
#2 Get around the best people you can.
    - A lot of people have the right intentions, but provide the wrong directions.
    #3 Set higher goals.
    - Goals help you stretch, Write your goals down. Plan your steps. When you think BIG you'll win BIG.
Think B.I.G. - Books, Individuals and Goals.

First: Read the books that solve your own problems, second Get to know people better than you and not like you, and the tird one you are right. The thing to me is, if you invest and have other income outside of dividends then you will be able to live off dividends without selling. Which means you can pass that on to your kids which will give them a leg up in life. $52k dividends received in 2022.

I agree! That's why it is advisable that you have to invest while you still have a regular job or earning a regular income, and do it constantly. You still need to have something that will keep you going even if you're investing. Good financial planning and money allocation is the key.

It's sad how difficult things have become in this recessive economy. I was wondering how to utilize some money I had. I used some of it for e-commerce business, but that sank. I'm thinking of how to protect my $150K-worth stock portfolio from decline, but haven't figured which way to go.

Very difficult indeed, but when the going gets tough, the tough gets going. You have to learn and handle finances properly. you should hire a CFP to help you diversify your assets to include ETFs/index funds/mutual funds and stocks of companies with consistent cash flows. Don't go for penny stocks.

    1. The only way to succeed is to read - if you read 10 minutes a day - that is 12 books a year - which most people do in 5 years.
    2. Getting around the best individuals you can. Are your leaders taking you to the place I would most likely to be? Look for the authors of the books that you read.
    3. Set higher goals. Create a plan of actions to achieve your goals. Write your goals down a dull pencil is better than a sharp mind. The 20 idea method - 1 over arching goal that you want to accomplish and think of 20 ideas that correspond to that particular goal. Do this in every area of your life (family, promotion), write down your goals every day, take the things that you have to get more of the things that you want.
Believe in yourself and everyone else will start believing in you too and you have to think BIG.
BIG -B -the books that you read I - Individuals that you meet G -Goals that you reach

To my understanding this just proves how much we need an edge as investors because playing the market like everyone else just isn’t good enough. I've been quite unsure about investing in this current market and at the same time I feel it's the best time to get started on the market, what are your thoughts?

Since the crash, I've been in the red. I’m playing the long term game, so I'm not too worried but Jim Cramer mentioned there are still a lot of great opportunities, though stocks has been down a lot. I also heard news of a guy that made $250k from about $110k since the crash and I would really look to know how to go about this.

I am absolutely a result of the decisions I've made, or not made, over the years and it has not been good for me. I've never totally known what I want, but there have been many times when I could've been doing something instead of nothing. I could've made some money, met some new people, found new possibilities and/or interests, but my lack of responsibility, hard work, and knowledge kept me from getting out and making valuable connections and life lessons. My point is it's very important to do things, even if they're not something you ll want to do forever because you can get something out of doing the "wrong" things but you cannot learn and grow from doing nothing. I regret the time I've wasted, but luckily I'm starting to realize that it's all about NOW and somewhat about the future. Get out and live and learn!

I truly believe that people that put a goal to become a Millionaire, and willing to put in the work and hustle 15 hours a day about there passion 3-4 years they become very successful in life. But the reality is people think that to become a Millionaire is impossible and because of that they not even try.

VERY important. He should have stressed this more. Just as the Individuals need to be those who will help you achieve your goals (because they have already done it, they have the right attitude, etc.), the books need to be the kind that will help you achieve your goals as well. Otherwise, they are just time wasters (in the sense of achieving your goals).

stephen kroll Everything this guy said was directed at people exactly like you, one day I hope you hear these motivational phrases in a new light because I once looked at it the same way you do now. Until one day I realized and I hope you go back and read your comment and realize you are basically waiting for someone to come give you the exactly blueprint for success. “Unless you had a mentor with prior experience to your problem to actually help you” Why do you think anyone would ever do that for you when all you do is sit and complain? Maybe, just maybe if you dove head first into something not worrying about failing or succeeding but just focused on LEARNING then you may stumble upon a “mentor” who sees a great passion in and only then would someone be motivated to show you the ropes but who knows by that point you may have already figured it out. Or you can keep watching yt videos and going to the comments to argue and justify your beliefs to help you sleep at night because after all it’s not YOUR fault the position you’re at in life.... or is it?

So when I was here I focused on my programming, I was reading financial books and all I had was my girlfriend and me. I read within 1 Month 4 financial books (Robert Kyosaki, Donald Trump, hes a great enterpreneur btw). 2 weeks later I started my own freelancing business, within next 3 months I did over 15 projects, made good money.
