  • In this video we provide you a walkthrough of QIDI Print. We cover most of the basics and some additional settings that we like to use. We show you where to find the “hidden” settings and how to set your slicer up to print a temp tower. After our long walkthrough, we show you how to set up Cura two different ways. I have included the link below for setup if you are using a QIDI X-Max, and then we show you how to find the information from QIDI Print to set up a QIDI printer other than the QIDI X-Max. Don’t forget to Like, Share, Subscribe, Click that Notification Bell and head over to our Patreon and support our Channel. Thank you and Happy Printing, Cheers!

    • @Eitri3D
      @Eitri3D  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You have to slice it first before you get the slider bar and can see the supports. The other issue could be that your not looking at the sliced view because there is regular, X-ray, and then the sliced view.

    hey I'm still pretty new to this stuff. I am having constant issues with the QUDI print slicer locking up and just taking enormous amount of time to put a couple of things on the build plate. When you went through this yours seem to work pretty well, it reacted immediately. Mine takes five minutes between mouse clicks. I've pretty much had it with this slicer. I've got a QIDI I-fast, Can i get a step by step process to go to Cura? I don't have the g-code for start and finish. Where did you get those. If you could even do a video on the switch that would be awesome. Thanks

    Hello Eitri,
    I purchased an i-fast a few months ago and I recently decided to purchase some new nozzles for the low temp extruders but they don't fit into the heat block threads. They're too big. My 7mm wrench that fits the original nozzles is too small to fit the new ones that I bought (MK10 Nozzle for 3D Printer, 18 Pcs M7 Brass Extruder Head Hotend Nozzles 0.2mm, 0.3mm, 0.4mm, 0.5mm, 0.6mm, 0.8mm, 1.0mm fit 1.75mm Filament). Can you please tell me what size/type I should have purchased? I can't find any definitive answer online.
    Thank you.

    Great tutorial! So I asked this question on the QIDI 3D Facebook group, but I figured I’d ask you as well since I’m a bit stumped at the moment. I downloaded the latest version of Qidi Print (V5.6.12) on the wife’s MacBook Pro (running the latest MacOS software) and Qidi Print functions properly with my X-Plus BUT my QIDI Print software is missing some functions. My drop down menu options for “Build Plate Adhesion Type” only gives me “skirt” and nothing else. Another example is my drop down menu for “Infill Pattern” is only giving me “Zig Zag” and none of the other options. It’s like some of QIDI Print plug-ins aren’t loading when I open the program. Any ideas as to what I did wrong in the download? Thanks for any advice!

    • @Eitri3D
      @Eitri3D  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      So I just downloaded it a week ago and have all of those settings available. My only advice is to delete it and download it again and see if that fixes it. Now I am running windows so if it happens again with the Max version, contact Qidi support and they will be able to tell you if it in their end in the software or if it is something else.

    • @targadave
      @targadave 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Eitri3D I tried erasing and re-downloading again a couple of times with no luck. Tried using an older QIDI Print version (V5.5.2) also with no luck. Updated to the latest MacOS (Monterey) and also no luck, BUT in all of that effort I discovered that the function options are actually there in the drop-down box, they just aren’t visible! So I end clicking on an “empty” highlighted box within the drop down box and it switches to the new option. Bizarre glitch but at least I can now get around it. Still have no idea what’s causing it. At some point I might start working with Cura, but for now Qidi Print does the job. I did let Sophia at QIDI know about

    • @Eitri3D

      @@dstadt6169 my advice is to add a brim and give it a try. What side of the bed plate are you using and are you using any type of glue or hairspray to help hold it down? Worse case scenario is to use a raft, and I say that because it’s wastes filament and I know ASA is more expensive.
