From all the copy/paste channels that tell the same social media growth techniques, yours has just stood out as a nugget of gold. I've never heard anyone talk about that altering of sentence length to create better pacing/rhythm.

Been on TH-cam for 6 years and just passed a pretty bad period where I wasn't happy with my videos, with the direction and even with the feedbacks from my own followers. I wanted to leave this comments from someone considered a "solid TH-camr" in Italy (where the market is also smaller of course). This video, made from you with only 40k and the animations, is such a high level that makes me really understand how high is the expectation nowadays. Congrats!
No no, don't get it twisted. What this guy is doing is great, for his market. What you do is different, and you do it well for your market. You don't need flashy, non-stop editing to captivate people. There are youtubers out there with very slow videos, set in a cottage in nature, with millions of viewers and subscribers. Why? Cos it suits their market. This video here is not the expectation.
This is such a useful tip for us beginner writers, who are pretty much in the dark and learning everything about, writing and storytelling, video making, editing, colouring. This really does provide something to sink our teeth into. Next you should make a video on how you make such amazing editing in your videos
A master storyteller shapes ideas into vessels of meaning, using the rhythm of words to evoke imagery and the cadence of emotion to etch memory. They harness universal truths while infusing them with unique perspective, creating a dance between the familiar and the novel. This pursuit requires precision in language, a deep empathy for the audience, and an unrelenting curiosity about the world. To master storytelling is to wield a power that transcends time, reshaping reality one narrative at a time. It is not just a skill so it is the art of being heard, felt, and remembered

Conflict and Context: Mastering the interplay between context and conflict helps create suspense, making viewers want to know what happens next. When viewers feel like they’re conversing with a friend, they are more likely to engage with the content. 1. But Then, 2. Make it sing, 3. Be present, 4. Start with the ending, and 6. Include a visual hook, are all skills and can be implemented right away into your work. I would consider 5. Including a unique perspective, to be the most difficult and time consuming part of the journey. Finding your own voice or the voice and perspective of a character you are writing about can take an unpredictably long time. Not impossible, just requires a leap of faith or to take risks from time to time and learn from them.

This dude cracked the code. Subscribed. Bro who do you work for? You in the Illuminati? These videos are too good? Like you’ve been working in the shadows sharpening your craft.
haha not in the illuminati lmao! I've been making short-form videos for 2 years (instagram.com/kallaway) and have made 30-40 TH-cam videos on my other channel (youtube.com/@kallaway) but they never did well because I was making both tech videos and these marketing breakdowns I was hoping these were good enough quality to pop off but maybe I was just limiting myself by posting on a channel that was geared for tech, so started this new channel. This is the first one I've made that's really broken out.
You get a like , comment, and new subscriber. This video was informative and explained simply. I also appreciate that you just got straight to the topc without the extra long intro. Thank you for taking time to make this video.
First time watching you, and I am ready glad I clicked on this video! Your video was not only a masterclass about copywriting, also about giving it your all at every stage of your content creation journey (which I still can´t believe you are only at 10k)!!
Knowing the end of the story is not realistic and does not reflect real life, where we don't actually know what's going to happen in our future. As a writer, I find it more enjoyable when I don't know the ending. This way, I become more creative with fresh ideas that can lead the story in any direction, without being constrained by a predetermined conclusion.
@@kallawaymarketing That's a great question! While I often have a general idea or theme in mind, I don't always have the full 'point' or conclusion planned out from the beginning. For me, the joy of writing comes from the journey of discovery-allowing the characters, plot, and ideas to develop organically. Sometimes, the most interesting themes or messages emerge as I write, rather than being set in stone from the start. It keeps the creative process exciting and allows for more spontaneity in the storytelling. That said, there really is no correct way of doing this. Every writer has their own unique process, and at the end of the day, it's about finding what works best for you as a creative
I believe “incorrect teaching” might be too harsh a term. Both perspectives hold merit. On one hand, starting with a clear sense of the point you want to convey is perfectly valid. On the other, the idea that “the joy of writing comes from the journey of discovery” is an equally valuable insight. In fact, a single author can blend these two approaches within the same project. Having a predefined plot idea doesn’t preclude the possibility of discovering creative insights along the way.
@@SoulSparksFly this is totally fair and a solid process! Most of my storytelling, in these terms, come from short-form videos, where I have a super finite canvas (only 60-90 seconds) and I'm trying to engineer virality. For longer stories or even books, I totally agree, having the exact end in mind would be tough and limit the creative optionality that is so fun to play with when you're freeform writing
Wtf! It’s the best time saver on teaching me about storytelling. I really enjoyed and loved till the end. Certainly! This storytelling breakdown makes so much sense. The "Dance" technique, balancing context with conflict, feels like a hack to keep viewers hooked. And that rhythm advice? It's like writing music that keeps the viewer's brain alert. These are the kinds of skills that can not only improve content but also give a sharp edge to humor-reminds me of the Sense of Humor Improvement Program by Habit10x. Crafting stories like these could make anyone stand out. Thanks for sharing, Callaway!

@@kallawaymarketing yeah, if videos do not perform well on your core audience yt is not happy. Big thing for people that are either transitioning their content or cover a wide variety of things.
Wasn't too sure at first when I saw the thumbnail previews (when you hover it), gave he impression of superficial content.
But then clicked into it anyway and content has depth and is explained and delivered in an easy to understand format.
Instant sub.
The taping a photo underneath the lens really opened my eyes to something
You’re an incredible person for sharing this for free. Love it, thank you
thank you, glad it helped! I'm working on a full video academy right now that will have stuff that goes much deeper
Dude, when you said you were only making videos for a year and a half I was like, WHAT? Then I looked at your subscriber number, under 10.000? 5.96K??? So I'm happy to say I was there in the first 10.000. You sound like having a million, or at least a couple hundred thousands. I guess you might get there in 6 to 12 months. Congratulations, you 're doing it, you're doing great.
this is his second channel
What type of people reviewing free content. Dude just shout your channel or give something positive. Nobody constructs with 💩
He grew 40k followers in one month❤
I want to say thank you, I'm fresh started my Medium and aim to write for money. This technique will significantly help me write better. This video is much more useful and straight to how to tell a story better. Other videos and articles are just said to keep doing it and find out which does not help much.
I watched this video back to back.
And I plan to watch it many times more.
means a lot!
Man, your content is top-notch and of a high quality. It'll take me years to get even a bit closer. Thanks for sharing this.
One day at a time, one rep at a time
Wow. *Pure VALUE.* 🤯 Thank you.
thanks for watching!
God the amount of value this video gives is insane. You deserve a million subs tbh. This really helps creators like me get out of my own head and help me get more familiar in creating stories. Thank you
This dude cracked the code. Subscribed. Bro who do you work for? You in the Illuminati? These videos are too good? Like you’ve been working in the shadows sharpening your craft.
haha not in the illuminati lmao!
I've been making short-form videos for 2 years (instagram.com/kallaway) and have made 30-40 TH-cam videos on my other channel (youtube.com/@kallaway) but they never did well because I was making both tech videos and these marketing breakdowns
I was hoping these were good enough quality to pop off but maybe I was just limiting myself by posting on a channel that was geared for tech, so started this new channel. This is the first one I've made that's really broken out.
You get a like , comment, and new subscriber. This video was informative and explained simply. I also appreciate that you just got straight to the topc without the extra long intro. Thank you for taking time to make this video.
This video is so good that it didn't feel like 11 minutes, so I had to rewatch it 😅 well done🙌. Cheers!
amazing, love to hear this!
what would you want me to cover next?
@ how you edit your videos on capcut 😊
First time watching you, and I am ready glad I clicked on this video! Your video was not only a masterclass about copywriting, also about giving it your all at every stage of your content creation journey (which I still can´t believe you are only at 10k)!!
You keep doing it. Hope people understand what they are listening to.
appreciate you for the support man!
Thank you! I just figured out what I need for keeping my game interesting amongst the numerous bosses you will face in my game!
Context and conflict!
When you start writing a piece, you don't have a sense for the point you're trying to get across from the beginning?
@@GenuineFulfillment you're right! :) apologies..
Wtf! It’s the best time saver on teaching me about storytelling. I really enjoyed and loved till the end.
I truly appreciate your references you’ve given throughout the video because I love to watch the original content to rework my brain for the unknown or unseen details.
Thanks a lot.
I’ve subscribed.❤
means a lot, thanks so much for watching!
I’ve never been more infuriated than by a man pretend to write on a curtain when there’s a whiteboard BEHIND HIM
Not just me then 😆
I can here to learn! Thanks for distracting me with your comment 😂
6:33 I 100% did this when I started. I used a pic of my roommate, who is a mechanic..and has zero technical skills. It really helped me learn to talk to camera! Great tip!
I saw many positive comments and I subscribed even before watching the first 60 seconds.
This video is so helpful i don't believe u only have 3k subs
I am an ads creative specialist. I write content brief especially for social media ads almost everyday, but I feel my brief writing skill is not going anywhere. By watching this, there are a lot of things that I can explore now, thanks bro!
Astonishing content Man 🔥 Thanks to share your knowledge with us. Thumbs Up from Brazil ! 👍👍👍
thank you!
Yup, great value here. It’s what You (the creator) wants to hear in your comments section: you are creating educational content that no one else is telling us. This is going to set you apart from other “storytelling” yt teachers. Keep doing this. This right here, and you’ll be the next Think/Creator Booth/Nate Black. Well done sir.
Means a lot and appreciate you sharing your thoughts. Will keep going!
@ Keep going brother, show us how to tell stories. That is what is going to launch you. There is your content gap.
yo this is great wtf
hahaha appreciate you....wish it would get circulated more to the youtube algo, but thought it was a solid vid
Subscribed - absolutely insane value delivered in just a few minutes. As a TH-camr who's currently rebranding to more authentic style videos, I found your tips extremely helpful. Especially the one regarding tone and the importance of conversational tone. Looks like I will need to practice rapping soon 😂
means a lot man, thanks for checking it out!
Love this! Commenting for the algorithm
thank you for this!
Man, im really struggling to find the right formula. I've been really bad at conversations *BUT* this video really made it easy to follow, now, i am pretty confident to write a better script for my next video. Your channel deserve millions of views! Thanks dude!
Amazing, glad to hear it!
I’m also working on a software product that will literally write worldclass short-form scripts for you.
You put in the idea, we do the research, we write the script and then you record.
It’ll be out for early waitlist members in Jan.
Make sure you’re signed up on the list sandcastles.ai
Man the amount of editing, who has the time for that
A paid professional. Video editors are professionals
A pakistani off fiverr
Lots of knowledge bomb, this video is insanely good! Looking forward to more :)
means a lot coming from you! Appreciate you checking it out
The editing really adds to your storytelling and the sound effects and placement of them! Great job! We are here before you hit your first thousand! Crazy
amazing, thanks for the early support!
@kallawaymarketing You bet!
11 min of pure useful content. Thank you to make it free.
That’s insane this only got 3k views and you only have 1k subs, you’re definitely going places man, keep it up.
Said he has millions of views on his other channel. So he’s done this a time or two. But I Still think this video brings a a lot of value therefore thousands of views! (Ha see what I did there)
@ yeah i know, that’s why im surprised this channel doesn’t have very many views
@@quisshy oh it'll come soon check back in a few weeks! people will see the quality and the value. I'm trying to post as much value as he does in his videos.
12k views in a day is pretty awesome tbh
Come back to watch this one: „go viral“
Thank you man, I did it because of you.
appreciate you
You have to explain how you did this effect, that when you say "dont forget to like the video" 10:49 that when you are not on full screen the like button lights up. Never seen this before
it's automatic when you say like youtube lights it up
This isn't a typical video about storytelling, and I love it! Practical and likely to be effective.
Ngl this is the best piece of advice ever got related to my youtube channel, it explains why my first video went viral and others didn't thanks for your help 🙏
appreciate you - thanks for giving it a chance!
this is the most valuable video I've ever watched about storytelling on youtube. Clear, valuable, to the point. Thank you
Wow, this is legit next-level storytelling advice! Gonna try this out ASAP-who else is pumped to take their stories up a notch?
yes! excited to see you put this into practice
Really love the speed and flow of the video. Super informative and equally captivating. You are certainly one to learn from. Good days always!
Ever wondered why some people succeed without exhausting themselves? It’s not just luck-there are strategies most people don’t notice. I was reading a book called Uncommon Paths to Wealth by Borlest, and it really made me think differently about all of this
Heyyy how's the book??? Worth giving a read??
@@rikawrites7104 just read, what else you would do in that time, wast on watching random yt videos?
@@szachgr43 I am asking because I don't have time to watch random youtube videos :/ If it's a good book I'd def give it a read tho
May be it could be a marketing promotion message who knows@@rikawrites7104

Easily one of the best videos I’ve watch all year. Keep up the awesome work
1. Conflict and solution
2. Different length sentences
3. Talk to them, not at them
4. Build start and end first
5. Unique take
6. Hook
Notes taken, let me try for my next video
nice, let me know how it goes!
Amazing video brotha, love the editing and quality.
So, storytelling is like dancing, writing music, and pitching to a friend? No wonder I’ve been stuck at the 'and then' stage. 😂 Anyone else rethinking their entire approach?
haha exactly, make it music, create curiousity, build conflict, and then resolve
I said the same thing, “and then” has been holding me back
I absolutely loved it. I haven’t seen such high-quality, straight-to-the-point, well-illustrated, and well-explained content on this or any related topic in a long time. Thank you.
Adding this comment for people to remind me to rewatch this
Go ahead and run the video back
watch it again, NOw!
Hey rewatch this
It’s been 11 days now, I’d say give it a rewatch 👍🏾
Don’t forget to watch this!!!
The quality, clarity and insights in this video is at another level. Learned many new things especially that different length sentences for engaging speech. thank you!
Means a lot, thanks for this!
My main language is not English but im trying so hard to write good scripts for my shorts ❤
working on a tool that can help you sandcastles.ai
The variable sentence length tip is incredible. So is the “but” and “therefore” linkage. Implementing this right away.
11:08 TH-cam is the only place to get this for free
I didn’t expect to get much from this video, because so much content in this same vein fails to deliver. But, I’m happy I gave it a chance. The sentence length variance tip is very good.
appreciate you! I'll try to make sure to deliver tactical tips like this as much as I can in the future
"Chat, am I muted?"
This one got me good 😂
I love how authentic this video felt :) you went into tips and methods I’ve never heard of vs a majority of videos with the same topic go over the same typical stuff. I love the editing style of your videos too😁
1:05 Bro is imaginary writing on a whiteboard with a whiteboard right next to him ? 😂😂😂
If you can't even do that, how can you make up entire stories?
@@simplyfrancoisI get what you're saying, however, he even said later on "we usually write it down" as the students are writing it down trying to keep up and I can't focus well I was lost 5 seconds into him rambling wishing he wrote it down so I could understand better.
People learn at different variables and speeds my friend.
These tips i’ve never heard of? Amazing.
The video? Inspiring. It all makes sense.
I bet most of us just learned why our stories that we tell our friends are simply boring.
But now we can change this.
Thank you🙏🏻
I am a expository preacher in a Baptist church in Vila Velha - Brazil and this is extremely helpful!

honestly, I didn't want to click on this video, had seen hundreds like it, but, damn, you did a good job man, very clear, easy to follow and good info. thank you!
Appreciate you for giving it a chance 🙌🏼
You did one amazing job showing that is not a secret to get more people on your thing. Thank u for your time !!
I appreciate that!
This video is super well made! I think every point you brought up hits the nail on the head, and I’ll 100% be trying to apply this to my future projects. It’s good to note that it’s really hard to perfect all of these at once, so you have to keep putting all these into practice to truly master storytelling. Once again, thanks for making this video!
Das ist das beste Video über Skripte, das ich je gesehen habe. Ein Super-Inhalt, spannend bis zum Schluß und viele Dinge hat man so noch nie gehört. Genial. Danke Dir.
