For those who said that you talked too much, usually they come with little appreciation. I REALLY THINK YOUR VIDEO HELPS ALOT and with your explanation, it is just right at the time you need to explain. I might have to ask you why are you not discouraged with people who dont know how to appreciate? I am thinking why put up with discouraging people? I am supporting you and most of your videos are amazing. So what is your reason to do this and also put lots of time at putting the whole video together?

My therapist did the correct stretch a few days ago, I thought I was in a torture chamber, but you have assured me this is correct, God Bless You. Jane

Thanks to our dear Doc, I feel kind of "guilty" when I am looking at my phone, tablet etc. This "guilt" is a good thing, because it keeps me aware of my posture, and now I begin to feel better in my neck. It takes some time, but small changes make a huge difference. 😊

Yesterday I went for P.T. and I experienced that angle traction, and it felt uncomfortable. I was sitting and just felt uncomfortable and asked them to take it off. So I came to my channel and I think we'll do it for less time and a more inclined position. This was my research moment. This video was great, I have the one where you hang you neck and will do that gently as I have issues with Osteopena...Thank you Dr. Mandell. Talk away, Dr. --- Knowledge is Power. I am planning to have PRP- Platelet Rich Plasma procedure soon.

Thank you for this!! Ive had excruciating shoulder pain since 4/11/21 and ortho couldn’t figure it out. After 4 weeks of PT with little results, ortho did a neck X-ray and found degeneration and bone Spurs between c6-7. At my next PT visit I had a new PT working on me and she did traction on my neck and OMG the relief I felt in my shoulder blade and all of my surrounding neck muscles!!! I had no idea all this pain could be coming from my neck!! Before the shoulder pain, both of my thumbs were numb for weeks.

      Dearest Sir,
I personally appreciate all your time, effort and knowledge. I have had all the mentioned procedures, from facet joint injections,to acupuncture, physical therapy etc.I have to take pain pills in order to function at all.I am using a bunch of the knowledge you so graciously share to try to get some of my life back. The hardest part about the constant pain is the lack of understanding and empathy.I have met some fine doctors along the way,and quite a few not so good. You have better skills in compassion and empathy than most of them. You understand...... You have a great voice and I personally could listen to you talk for hours. Thank you for all you do.

Ive been suffering for neck pain for years and i wouldnt wish it on my worst enemy, the pain completely takes away my ability to be productive (mentally) and takes away all enjoyment from anything. I know its 100% due to years of bad posture, which I am getting better with, its not easy though to undo years of bad habits.

Pump killed me, Manuel traction against the door killed me! Towel pull bad on me . JAW TMJ. pull killed me
Pull by hands helped. Husband actually picked me up by hands around sides and back of head as I sat cross legged on floor. Then gently sat me back down. He’s not able to do it now (but it did help me) posture pump killed me. You are so awesome. YOU ARE SO RIGHT. YOU ARE THE CENTER OF INFORMATION!🙏🇺🇸LEGENDARY DOC. 🥰

Very informative videos. I appreciate your time for making them. If people really follow these, they can avoid surgeries. And being doctor yourself if you are doing it then it a big thing because doctors around the world pressure patients to go for surgeries for various financial and political reasons. Unfortunately people also love going for surgeries because many of them wont believe that solution is so simple. I have fixed many people by these simple techniques.Just one question here. If we hold traction band from behind head (posterior side) then grip does not come so well unlike we hold from Jaw side. Since pressure is very limited and under control, what issue do you see if we hold from Jaw side? Thanks

    • @wheelsone6180

      Yes! C1 and C2
C1- Area & Part of Body- Blood supply the the head, pituitary gland, scalp, bones of the face, brain, inner and middle ear, sympathetic nervous system.
C1- Possible Symptoms- Headaches, nervousness, insomnia, head colds, high blood pressure, nervous break downs, amnesia, chronic tiredness, dizziness.
C2- Area & Body Parts- Eyes, optic nerves, auditory nerves, sinuses, mastoid bones, tongue, forehead.
C2- Possible Symptoms- Sinus trouble, allergies, pain around the eyes, earache, fainting spells, certain causes of blindness, crossed eyes, deafness.
Get adjusted and be aware. I know when my C1 or C2 is out of alignment due to a lot of symptoms you mentioned.
Start focusing on your posture. Keep your shoulders back and ears above your shoulders when looking in any direction, up, down, left, right. Ice at the base of skull will help, but it needs adjusted.
Do a search for a Gonstead DC (link below) or a BioPhysics DC. They are considered corrective chiropractic and will/should help.
In my experience and now looking to go to school for DC, I believe over 90% of DC's are "rack'm n crack'm, send them on their way" DC's. Which is why I believe they get a bad rep. Most have a system where they get the patient in/out in under 4min. I think it's wrong, but that seems to be the case. Most don't think scoliosis or disk degeneration are fixable. I tend to disagree, search Dr. John Bergman on here and he's proof that scoliosis can be treated. Not sure what DC he is, I'm guessing biophysics. My guess is Dr. Mandell is also, I may be wrong. DC's seem to be like MD's now, where patients are just considered recurring revenue.
Corrective DC's will/ should take x-rays every 3-6 months to see progress.
I know your post is 9 months old, but hopefully it will help someone. And hope you're doing better.
      God bless!

    Hi Doc
What is the recommended traction duration per session?
I have been following your video... thank you for sharing.

Wonderful video! What about inversion tables? Do they help in traction?

I have severe pain in my neck. They want to do a neck surgery but I have one parolized vocal cord and the Doctor says there is a risk in parolizing the other vocal cord so I have to see a specialist to see if they can fix the one that got messed up in a terrible car accident 9 yrs ago. I need to see this

Have you went and seen a Chiropractor? When I ask this, I mean a corrective chiropractor. IMO The Gonstead technique and the BioPhysics DC's are the best.
According to a nerve chart, C5 is vocal cords.
I believe a DC can help to avoid surgery and allow your neck to heal.
Here's a link to the Gonstead website and what makes them different. You can also get to the directory to see if one is close to where you live.

Look up Dr. Rahim or Dr. Ian on here. Both are Gonstead, probably not near you but shows how specific the Gonstead technique is.

Very informative. I like the idea of the traction machine you have in office. Where are you located?

Hi Doc my neck is killing me I see there were a number of products that you mentioned on here to open up some of the joints in your neck. If you wouldn't mind which home product would you recommend for traction. I saw a couple of items you mentioned with a 15% degree.

My neck is giving me A LOT of bad headaches and shortness of breath. Both my hands get swollen and warm especially my left arm.. I've been going to the chiropractor for about a year and NOTHING has changed! I am soooooo tired I want and need relief.. We don't have but one chiropractor here! My option would be to drive to Dallas TX which is about an hour or so from where I live 😫😫
