    Fixed my problem. 2013 Taurus Limited, the passenger side climate was stuck on A/C, tight and difficult for me as I’m not very mechanical but in 30 minutes with multiple breaks I was able to get it done, I finally figured out to put a pillow down so I wasn’t crushing my ribs which made the ordeal much better. Thank you for this video it saved me money

    I’m still struggling with getting my new one in but this is the best video I’ve seen on it and I think I’ve watched them all at this point. Thank you

    Thank you, I just found this video. I have a 2010 Taurus SHO doing the same thing. I am going to try this repair myself before I take ti dealer for service. I didn't think it was that easy.

      My 2010 Taurus just started blowing hot air on the passenger side. Did you have an easy time installing?

    Is it advised to pull the black wire harness that is blocking the actuator, back to make room?

  • @44altecz
    @44altecz ปีที่แล้ว +2

    the 2 Temperature Blend door actuators are easy to replace but the vent door actuator and its only one at the top on the driver side is hard as hell to get to and remove and replace

    • @DrDemp
      @DrDemp  ปีที่แล้ว

      Some are more difficult, you are correct.

    I am having difficulty getting at the actuator because of the black cover that goes over top, can I cut the holding pin to loosen that piece so I can access that actuator easily.

    • @DrDemp
      @DrDemp  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@GinoF-z2l wouldn't cut anything ever on an airbox.

    • @DrDemp
      @DrDemp  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @GinoF-z2l there is a twisting force on actuators the holding pin is ment to absorbed all that force so the screws don't have to take all the force.

    When I turn on my heat or AC, nothing is blowing on the passenger side or sometimes you can barely feel it. Only the driver side works great. Could that method help fix the problem?

  • @paulsalerno5887

    Great video. Job completed and was difficult to get to on Taurus X. AC was not going on at passenger side. Now I have AC on passenger side. Unfortunately now the driver side is not as cold. Trying to figure out what to do next. Any suggestions?

    • @DrDemp
      @DrDemp  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Slightly low freon can cause driver side to be Slightly warmer. Schrader valves commonly leak on Ford cars and create a very slow leak.
      Thanks for watching.

    So on my 2015 Ford Taurus the AC is working on the driver side, but the heat is coming out on the passenger side.. hopefully this will fix my problem ‼️

    Helpful video, but a little misleading about how easy this is. 😆
    This was a bear to tear apart on my 2014 Flex, and worse to put back together!
    My advice is not to mess with the blend door by trying to turn it with a screwdriver. You'll just booger up the splines and it won't stay put.
    Instead, when you put it back together, have the car running, and plug the actuator in after you get it fiddled back in behind everything but not seated in place.
    Once it's plugged in, you can adjust the temp settings on your climate control to get the actuator to spin to the right spot.

    • @ryanb1314
      @ryanb1314 ปีที่แล้ว

      I tried this but it seemed to continuously spin in one direction and now won’t do it again as I unplug and plug

    My ac doesn’t turn on at all or heater in my 2015 Taurus police interceptor. Do you have any idea what is wrong with it. Out of nowhere, turns on and out of nowhere, it doesn’t work again.

    • @DrDemp
      @DrDemp  ปีที่แล้ว

      Definitely sounds like a blower resistor or motor if no air is blowing at all. Could be wiring as well. Lots of possibilities

    Biggest issue I had was getting the door and actuator gears to index correctly. Fought for half an hour, came back and it slipped together first try.

    Man ... I believe I can do this... Thank you for this video. And I thought my Glass was not coated Half way. or what's the word.. anyway I'm going to a Ford Dealer to make sure I have the proper Actuator. I have a 2017 Ford Taurus AWD SEL. Hey is it possible to replace the SYNC. Mine keeps killing the fuse 10amp. No short.. just sometimes when I start the car... then it blows the fuse. Any suggestions?

    I have an issue where only the front passenger side blows hot air when the AC is on.
    To see if it is the passenger side actuator at fault could i temporary change it with the one directly behind the glove box?
    Great video on how to get to the actuator.
    Thanks

      Thanks I did that on the one before but I managed to still lose it. I did the latest one and was lucky to recover the screw three yep 3 times. Not looking forward to the next time. I might try to get the vehicle up off the ground a little so I won't have to be so uncomfortable. The one behind the glove compartment was the easiest.
