Just more seat time needed, i know at that power level an IS300 should be around 11.5/12, good luck! hoping to see more content, love those cars, have had 2 myself and currently building one that i plan to own a for a big while
The Driver Mod is by FAR the most important when it comes to clicking off a good time. The car is definitely more than capable of a low 12, unfortunately practice time on a "track" is hard to find this year!
We want to too! Hopefully with tracks finally opening up around us this year we can get some passes in. There's a LOT better times capable for this thing!
@@darianmackmer5444 hoping to have it out for a little testing and tuning at the end of the month. We'll see. We definitely went a bit over the top on this build but feel like it turned out pretty well. Glad you like the build!
Looking to boost my ‘02 GE. Are there any issues with running and auto Tran. That has been rebuilt, shimmed(18mm) and pressure turned up to the high setting? Just wondering.
Technically if the transmission is in good shape it will actually be considerably quicker down the track than a manual. You shift faster and won't loose turbo spool between gears. BUT, there's definitely a limit to what the stock auto trans in these cars can take! Before you do any sort of boost to a stock motor, have it checked over to make sure its 100% healthy. Boost will stress parts considerably more and if anything is weak, you'll end up broken sooner than you would like.
I was there and raced also, I saw a couple of your passes it sucks when things break on race day but glad you got it fixed. And thanks for posting video there was barely any from this weekend
It was definitely a frustrating part of the day, ended up hitting Jegs BEFORE the track to grab a new BOV and replaced that, then found the OTHER issue which added a 2 1/2 hour round trip.. all in all though a very good day of racing! Still need to get some seat time in this monster to get it rolling like it can, the MPH is there to get us where we want to be just working on that Driver Mod now ;) BTW, currently editing a huge video of everyone we filmed that day. It will be up HOPEFULLY here later this evening if I can stay motivated!
We are definitely going to engineer something to seperate the turbo from the coupler, likely a plate will be going on there here very shortly. That little boot up held on for over a year though so all in all it was pretty impressive!

Love the SXE10 Man👍😎. Are you still running the stock rear end?
Hey sorry just saw this comment! It is 100% stock Lexus rear end never been opened up or modified
Ok, you still running the stock rear end wwooooo😲😳, I just finish watching the end of the video
Yep still running the stock rear end with absolutely no issues. Hope you enjoyed the video!
Maybe put a vibrant vanjen style clamp on there to prevent anymore couplers melting.
