To celebrate Charles Martinet's career as a voice actor for the Super Mario Franchise, I would love to share the last official voice lines he did. It's such a perfect way to say goodbye to all of these years of being a voice actor: Being Mario and Luigi's dad, who ends up being super proud of the brothers, with his last line "These are my boys!", and being Giuseppe, the representation of the very first time Mario was seen (in Donkey Kong, in 1981). For you Charles, I would love to give you another Thank you... and Wahoo! ❤️🍄⭐
---------------------------------
❤️🍄⭐ - บันเทิง
And these were the last words of Charles in the Mario franchise: "THESE ARE MY BOYS!!!" and for the very last one: "WAHOO!!!" Charles couldn't end this journey in a better way!!! Thank you so much, Charles!!!
I feel like the man with the Mario outfit and did the wahoo sounded more like Mario then Mario did in this movie!
@@tinacrummett294 Well, technically he IS Mario. That man's name is Jumpman and that was Mario's original name back in Donkey Kong.
@@tinacrummett294 Not gonna lie, I really loved that they gave Martinet one line in his iconic Mario voice, makes me crack a big goofy smile every time.
So cute
He could have ended in a better way, being the Rightful voice actor for Mario in the movie. I personally didn't mind Chris Pratt as Mario at all, and ultimately it was certainly the right move overall to utilize Chris instead since they intend to release multiple movies and it would have been very jarring having Mario change actors when Charles stepped down, but it still would have been an absolutely amazing and a better end to Charles's Journey as mario, it honestly makes me sad that he didn't get to be Mario in the movie.
His final words in Mario were as mario’s dad saying “these are my boys” they foreshadowed it
Edit: OK I GET IT, SHUT UP ABOUT WAHOO
I don’t think it was the companies decision. I think it was probably a decision of both the actor and there’s so I don’t think we should be mad at them both.
Technically, I think the last word was "Wahoo".
@@JonSmith-hk1bqboth last words are great
I think we can all agree that even though they're getting new voice actors, to whom I wish nothing but the best, these will always be Charles Martinet's characters. I also love that his final words were as Mario's dad & Jumpman, the character that started Mario's legacy.
@@JonSmith-hk1bq good point
Even if Charles Martinet didn’t voice Mario nor Luigi, I’m very grateful that he got to be part of the movie. And in a way, him playing their father foreshadows his new title as a Mario Ambassador.
What a way to cap off 32 years of bringing Mario to life. Thank you, Charles, for everything. You’ll always be Mario and Luigi to us. ❤💚
And wario and waluigi 💛💜
Yeah that role feels so right he's basically the father of Mario VA and him being as an Ambassador sounds amazing 😭
@@lumpofpooonastringall hail waluigi
WA-to-the-HOO.
"Cap off"
I see what you did there.
The fact Charles dubbed a bunch of the other different versions of the movie really shows how devoted he is to this franchise. He went out of his way to read the same couple of lines in languages he probably didn't even know. What a champ.
I mean, he also knows Spanish, so that’s epic
@@JobelMTand French
"Demais? É perfeito!!!"
That line was so great to hear in Charles' voice!
O
Yes its good
This is very bittersweet to hear his last official lines. Farewell Charles, you’ll always be the iconic Mario voice actor that we know in love.
Yeah, Charles Martinet is going around the world as an ambassador for the Mario fan club.
@@Twilight17Petkoton Wahoo! He’ll be such a great ambassador of the Mario franchise.
He says that last words in multiple languages, even in spanish I heard him ❤.
@thecaledoniansleeper2648 Yeah, Charles Martinet and everyone will meet Charles Martinet for an autograph.
Okey fan of mario since the first videogame and never started to play a mario game in your Iife till you became a fake fan since the movie came out.
From "Its-a me Mario!" from 64 to "These are my boys!" from the movie, Charles will always be the best Nintendo voice actor! Thanks for everything, Mr. Martinet!❤️🍄
I thought the last line was "wahoo"
Yeah!
@@idkguy8875Why not both?
He voiced Mario even before Mario 64 on the Mario Pinball Machine, Mario Teaches Typing and Mario's Game Gallery
64 is what solidified his stay as Mario game gallery and teaches typing they were probably still seeing how he'd do as Mario. It worked
Thank you, Charles Martinet. You did a terrific job being Mario and many others in the Super Mario Bros franchise, especially the new movie. We're all gonna miss you.
He really did, and having these lines as his last ones is the best way of saying goodbye! I will miss him so much...
All of us will miss him...
He been in my childhood 😌
The heck!? Is Charles Martinet dead ir what happened?
@@crisplayer_6235 He’s just retiring from acting.
Going out with a role in a feature film was one of the greatest ways to end it all off. God bless you, Charles.
It obviously would have been a better send-off if he voiced mario, but what he said at the end feels so emotional now
@tonightondadsphone5692 Dude, imagine if his final line as Mario was the "Thank you so much" like from SM64. That shit would have me sobbing dude 😭
@D4RKTH3T0PP4T oh come on stop I'm going to cry, but like imagine voiced. SMB Wonder with the last thing said is Thanks-a so much for making my-a dreams come true
@tonighondadsphone5692 Damn, bro, that would hit me for sure
@@tonightondadsphone5692this feels more emotional cuz its like hes handing off the mantle to other people. no one has voiced mario for so many years now. this is the first time someone else did it, and they received an immense amount of backlash. it’s almost like he knew that would happen so he gave his blessing here.
"These are my boys" really hits different.
Thank you so much Charles, truly, a Number One!
Boiii you woulda made an epic ass Sparta Remix to these lines back in the day.
Hell of a trip down memory lane seeing you here.
I honestly tear up when he says that
I gotta say, it's really fitting that Charles Martinet's last lines in the Mario franchise have him pointing to Mario and Luigi and saying "These are my boys!" Followed by Giuseppe saying "Wahoo!" We'll miss you, Charles.
he even got a Mamma Mia in there as well.
He got the same name as me.
What happened? Why did he stop?
@@wingedflyingforce5139 Charles Martinet retired from voicing Mario characters last year. I think it's because he's getting too old to keep voicing his characters, as he's stated how doing his voices gets harder as he gets older.
I wish he had a last line in the credits. "Thank you so much for watching my movie. Wahoo!"
That would've been perfect
@@willieboi. someone probably will edit it in
Don’t you mean “for to watching my movie.”
@@bigborse what?
@@Gamersoul333 At the very end of Super Mario 64 (where it shows the cake), Mario goes "Thank you so much for TO playing my game."
Of course he had to end it on a beautiful, "Wahoo!". We'll miss you Charles, thank you for being in our games.
I love that Charles’ last line in the Mario franchise is his most signature one, “Wahoo!” What a way to end off a long and fun career!
Im 100 percent gonna miss Charles man. The dude was basically the Kevin Conroy of The Mario franchise
Good comparison, since they did start at around the same time as well.
@@briansilva3344 Yeah but at least Charles gets to enjoy his retirement. Some people are hating on Nintendo for "getting rid of him", forgetting that he's already in his late 60s. The rest of his life will be traveling and occasionally doing fan stuff, the way it should be.
Not to mention the some of the other actors in the movie are also over 60
@@sws212 I agree, he deserves his break after all he's done for us. Furthermore, the fact that these are his final lines for the franchise will give the movie extra value.
2:52 his last “WAHOO!”
Charles really came full circle. He started as Mario and ended as Jumpman. As a wise man once said "It's a perfect! Wahoo!"
theres something oddly sweet about how the last line he ever speaks in a mario project isnt mario or luigi themselves, but their dad telling them hes proud of them. it feels poetic almost.
Thank you Charles, for your 30 years of service for voice acting Mario and Luigi and Waluigi and Wario. I've known Mario and his franchise since I was 3-years-old. We'll never forget you! ❤️
I think 2:17 is the moment where Charles Martinet passes the torch to Chris Pratt.
And Kevin Afghani
"These are my boys!" was very fitting. Charles, your voice will be forever be a part of everyone's childhood. Thank you for everything. ❤
I feel like they had Charles retiring known for a while so they had his final voice words “These are my boys!”
And of course his last "wahoo!"
Did he retire though? It seems like THEY retired him
@@ero-senninsama1734 I sadly don't know if he even would be allowed to clarify. But I hope I'm wrong.
@@ero-senninsama1734He's pretty old and he's been with Nintendo for 30 years. It's safe to say that he's retiring on his own terms.
@@ero-senninsama1734 Nintendo is prob still paying him as they have him a "Mario ambassador" job, so he's fine at least
They really were Charles's boys, they really were.
They most certainly are. 🥹
Thank you Charles Martinet, for all the joy you gave us with your characters in the franchise
On a completly unrelated note:
I want more of Mario and Luigi's family.
They only appear like 5 minutes but I want to see more of them. Their relationship with their sons, and how they're reacting or dealing with all the new world like the Mushroom Kingdom or Bowser's kingdom.
Or get to see them inviting Peach to their dinner time.
I don't know, I just want more of them. Maybe in the sequel, but who knows
Fingers crossed! 😊
It would be nice if Peach came to dinner with them. She’d be like part of the family
Or Peach inviting the family to the royal feast. Their spaghetti becomes a monarch's delicacy
@@ViceN53X Maybe that too, but the bros would first have to introduce them to the Mushroom Kingdom
Everyone's talking about the "these are my boys" foreshadowing and it's making me feel so bittersweet...these characters have BEEN him for such a long time. Gonna miss this guy's work, he brought a lot of joy into people's lives.
It’s beautiful, he ended on the perfect note of saying “these are my boys” to the characters he gave so much life to, and ended it off with one last hearty “Wahoo!”
Charles Martinet is, and will always be a legend.
I like to think that Mario and Luigi’s dad saying “these are my boys!!” Is Charles being proud of the voice actors and will be proud of the new potential voice actors for the games too! We’ll miss you Charles👍
I didn't even know he voiced his dad too, wow. I'm gonna miss him in the Mario games
This really does feel like a passing of the torch. These scenes hit so much differently now that Charles Martinet has announced his retirement.
Thank you for all the wonderful voice work you gave over the years Charles, and we wish you the best in your future endeavors!
"These are ma' boys", las mejores últimas palabras.
I think "Mario you were amazing" would've ended it better.
@@prestonandtom9337 nah, that just includes Mario, the other line mentioned Luigi too, which makes sense as Charles made up Luigi's voice and personality on the spot when someone asked him if they could talk to Luigi, Luigi's voice or personality didn't exist back then, basically Charles created the Luigi we know and love, and made him not a green mario
Charles Martinet actually got his start in the Mario franchise as the world's first Vtuber, playing Mario in a motion capture rig called MIRT (Mario In Real Time) that allowed him to interact with an audience as the character.
2:33 its so wholesome to see spike respect mario and Luigi at the end of the movie
“These are my boys.”
And you were and always will be our one up boy.
Thank you for thirty years and all the joy you’ve brought, Charles.
"These are my boys" line means more now than ever before... We will miss you Charles 😭❤️🫡
So Charles’ last line was said by Jumpman and he said “WAHOO!”. Very fitting actually considering the first game Mario appeared in was Donkey Kong where he was titled, Jumpman. The series really came full circle, huh.
The dad in the dinner scene is acting like his sons want to be astronauts or something. Having a dream of being a plumber in a big city is one of the most practical dreams I've ever heard.
This is a very emotional moment for all the nintendo fans. Charles helped bring mario and luigi to life, and we are all thankful that he's still supporting the iconic characters. There still may be hope that he might return someday to voice the mario brothers or at least be part of the cast for the sequel movie. Charles martinet has never let us down before.
Charles, thank you so much for voicing Mario over the years. I will miss hearing your voice and you made my child head. I was so thankful that you were able to make a cameo in the super Mario Bros movie. Congratulations on being in the Mario ambassador you deserve support. I will miss your voicing Mario, and I will always remember your voice of the childhood. 🥺😢💜
The last words of Charles. I'm glad he had a part in the movie. I especially love Jump Man's voice. It sounds amazing.
Its the exact same as Mario's video game voice, but yeah its amazing
Wait it wasn’t “these are my boys” it was “wahoo” this whole time…
“These are my boys!” The last thing Charles said as a Mario character towards Mario and Luigi. We had a great run with you, Charles. Have a great retirement.
Charles Martinet is a legend! This was the perfect way to send him off! He’s been voicing Mario for 29 years and while it is a shame to see him go, I wish him good luck travelling the world and being Mario Ambassador! 👨🏻🔧🧢✊❤️
Charles Martinet, thank you so much for making a fantastic job for voicing Mario since Super Mario 64 which is one of my childhood games. Your legacy will always be remembered!
Nadie pensaba que la despedida sería en la tan esperada aparición en la gran pantalla de los hermanos fontaneros. No hay demasiado que decir aquí, simplemente..
Thank you, Charles ❤🍄
Definitivamente, es la mejor manera de despedirse ❤❤❤❤❤❤
2:32 the fact the foreman spoke said this makes it even more intriguing, but has to do a lot more to redeem himself
This video is going to have millions of views at some point. Charles is definitely legendary and worthy enough for it.
I want to shed a tear as someone who grew up with his voice 1995 was a special year in nintendo's history it saddens me as nobody can replace the innocent wahoo okie dokey voice of charles matinet he will be missed by many gamers but here's hoping he returns at least as a bit part in any future nintendo movies love ya man you are KING OF NINTENDO in my heart
Such an amazing way to go out, we love you Charles! May you have a Super Retirement from the role!
The perfect finale to his career. Best of wishes to his role as Mario Ambassador
This movie was an adorable love letter to the Mario Series. Thank you Nintendo, Thank you Illumination and most importantly Thank you Charles we love you and we're so happy that u became the Mario ambassador. ❤
At least Charles' last word was "Wahoo"
Charles Martinet, we will all miss you.
La mejor despedida que se le podía dar a Charles y sobretodo con la última frase "Estos son mis chicos" 🥹

BRO I didn't know Charles was playing Mario's DAD!! Hearing it again now I can't believe I didn't realize it.
Me, neither! I was shocked when I found that out.
His last sentence was "These are my boys!" and his last word was the iconic "WAHOO!" I'm not crying. You are 😭
Thank you Charles Martinet for bringing joy to so many lives over the years and we wish you all the best in your new position as Mario Ambassador.
I'm not even super into the Mario games but knowing this was his last performance as such a titan of a character has me tearing up so much
Super Mario 64 was such a massive part of my childhood and I'll never forget that WAHOO. Thank you, Charles. You will go down in history for all eternity.
Charles Martinet went out in a bang, especially in the Mario Movie cameos! He's a legend in our books. The GOAT of Mario, Luigi, WARIO, Waluigi, Baby Mario, and Baby Luigi. Thank you Charles for a great journey and making the Mario Franchise awesome!
The diner scene was the best part of the movie honestly
"These are my sons" and "WAHOO", the two last phrases for the legend of Nintendo ❤️
The lines "These are my boys" hits different now.
By the time he still alieve; I honestly still want to say thank you Charles for not just being part of my childhood and Inspiration but your always be our "Jump-Up Superstar"!
1:30 I would've gotten up and walked away too. Also thanks Charles Martinet!
2:17 I love the fact that you can even hear the Wario in his voice
"These are my boys!" "Wahoo!"
We're gonna miss you so much, Charles. Whoever comes next has some big shoes to fill!
The last Charles Martinet voice was "Wahoo!" That was sweet
The last one actually is from Mario Kart Tour and It's got added today for the new fedora Mario alt which also got addedtoday, it's just one voice line he says "suit up"
Those lines were most likely recorded in 2019. Mario (Black Suit) is shown very early in the ID, his number being 48, meaning he was probably finished before the game's launch around the same time as Mario (Musician). Apparently it would be around August 2019 (for the character itself, not the voice clip).
We don't know if Charles Martinet recorded his lines in the movie earlier or later than that clip, as the movie was announced alongside Mario Kart Tour in early 2018. It's very possible that Charles Martinet's last line as Mario was in Mario Kart Tour, though not for Mario (Black Suit).
@@harrybest2041 Yup, but OFFICIALLY his last voice line is Mario black suit.
2:20 love how Mario's dad start to sound like wario
And even his own voice is heard.
WAHOO! The best farewell I could DAMN well expect from Charles Martinet, a salute to that legend🫡
I didn’t even know he voiced his father. The guys got range.
I speak for a lot of people when I say that Mario games were a huge part of my childhood, and I still love them today. The Mushroom Kingdom was like a second home, and Mario became like a dear friend. I never realized until now that it was really Martinet’s voice that gave Mario life and made him feel like a real person, a real friend and hero. I’ll really miss Mr. Martinet, but I know he deserves a good rest after all the work and love he’s put into Mario’s voice for so long. I wish him the absolute best. We’re all proud of him, and I know the Mario brothers would be proud of him as well.
I'm gonna miss Charles Martinet so much. I will miss him as Mario and Luigi. Wario and Waluigi maybe too. 😭😭😭😭😭
At least Charles Martinet got a beautiful ending in the Super Mario franchise❤️ but Charles will still voice Mario and Luigi in remake games and possible that old voice clips could be used in the future
It's indeed the most beautiful ending for his career!! ❤️❤️❤️ Yep, the old voice clips might be still used!! :D
No they confirmed that Mario & Luigi would be getting new voices unless Dark Moon is his final role.
@@TwilightLink77I think they're going to keep Charles' audio in Dark Moon Remastered and then use the new VA for the eventual Luigi's Mansion 4.
@@KKhuetyep, i hope they will use old voice clips for future games like the spin-offs. Btw, i just found out that Charles actually voiced Mario & Luigi one time after the Mario Movie, his last time was the ''The Last Spark Hunter'' dlc for Mario + Rabbids sparks of hope.
We're all gonna miss you, Charles... TT_TT
Mario’s dad being voice by Charles is such amazing symbolism when you think about it.
1:18 ahí se nota un montón el acento Wario xd
Thanks for voicing my childhood, Charles!
One more wahoo to send off. Thanks for everything, Charles! Life won’t be the same without you.
I’m going to miss Charles, he did an excellent job voicing Mario and Luigi in the games and voicing other characters in the movie. He’ll be missed.
He's responsible for making so many childhoods awesome across multiple generations. Absolute legend.
Wauuu, esto es perfecto!!! Qué perfecta recopilación, así es una maravilla regresar a ver el fin del legado que nos dejó Charles. Gracias por hacerlo posible 💚💚💚
Muchísimas gracias a ti admesito!!! Es todo un placer y un honor poder compartirlo y que podáis disfrutarlo!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Here is What i think will happen with Charles Martinet’s future for Nintendo:
He will be a Mario Ambassador and keep going to Cons and meeting fans
He will problably voice Mario's dad and Giuseppe in Mario Movie Sequals
Voice clips of his Mario, Luigi, Wario and Waluigi voice will be reused rereleases of Mario games he has voiced them in. Maybe even reusing voice clips in few future games like the spin-offs like Paper Mario, Mario Vs Donkey kong and the sports titles
Thanks Charles you are always Mario to me
“Wahoo” indeed, Charles, “wahoo” indeed.
We wish you the best in your future endeavors, Charles Martinet. You’ll always be Mario in our hearts. Goodbye.
Bye, bye, Charles! 🥲👋
Charles playing the whole family feels like he’s the father of all everything Mario related. Like a guardian angel.
6 months later and I still can’t believe he’s no longer the voice of Mario. As someone who aspires to be a voice actor when they’re older and had Charles as their main inspiration for basically BUILDING my childhood, it still feels so unreal.
“Too much? It’s perfect. Wahoo!” It hits pretty damn hard how much I’m gonna miss Charles but he’s been at it since the typing game in like 92’.
Now I’m wondering if instead of casting Crisp Rat because big name celebrity if maybe Charles wanted to ease us into the idea of him not doing the role anymore.
Most likely it was Charle's idea, he was thinking about retiring for a while
So long, old friend.
Charles Martinet, you are a legend! thank you for making our childhood so awesome!
If only they used him for more serious voice acting roles or games. He was definitely more than capable
Well, he did Voice Act in other games than Mario, and Maybe other gaming companies will use him. His last voice acting was in a game called Dragon Ball Legends. So we might get him in more serious games even if they aren't by Nintendo
“These are my boys” I’ll always remember that last line from Charles Martinet and his last “Wahoo!” Thank you so much Charles Martinet for my childhood
P.S thank you so much for playing my game
😭❤️
I feel this was the way to say thank you to charles martinet for voicing these characters and hoping he luves the rest of his life well knowing the childhoods he had brought and the many things the super mario franchise had spawn over this franchise's almost 40 year history and Nintendo's history for years to come
I didn't notice Luigi trying to eat the salad, bread or at least Mario's mushrooms only to have each opportunity taken away from him by his uncle. The mother giving him a new bowl after he gave up trying was very sweet.
A good send off for retirement of voice acting. Thank you, Charles.
What a perfectly poignant ending to Charles' 32 year run as one of gaming's biggest icons. He's-a-number one! WAHOO!

As much as I don't love the movie (I didn't hate it either, just liked it), I do gotta give props for Martinet's cameos...
Really went out with a bang, along with Sparks of Hope.
I hope he does get more film roles in the future for the time he's on our planet!
