What I found interesting is that they never call the Tanooki Suit the Tanooki Suit, Donkey Kong refers to it as a “raccoon suit” and Luigi says that Mario “looks like a bear”. I believe these are nods to the fact that not everyone outside of Japan knows exactly what a Tanooki is, and also since people have erroneously mixed the Raccon and Tanooki suits together.
The movie also sometimes gets the names of things wrong or just calls it something else. The Koopa General calls the Spiny Shell a Blue Shell even thought everyone calls it the Blue Shell, they call the Banzai Bill a Bomber Bill, DK calls the mini Mushroom a blue Mushroom, The Mario Movie Twitter got the name of the Spiny wrong. The movie was made by Illuminations team and probably not the normal Nintendo Translators so I see why the movie got some of those things wrong
@@sahaprocks7751 With the Blue Shell and Mini Mushroom examples, it really doesn’t matter, whatever name you give them, pretty much everyone who’s seen them in action knows where you’re talking about. And with Mario Kart being SO popular that it even has an arcade version, you’ll find LOTS of people just call it the “Blue Shell”, so they wrote it into the movie because of that.
With you mentioning Bowser’s roars during the 3rd act, I should mention that you forgot another Bowser sound from the games featured earlier; When Kamek interrupts Bowser’s song about Peach, Bowser growls like he does in Super Mario Galaxy. Also, you were right about Toad being Captain Toad, as his theme plays shortly after he’s introduced, and Mario asks him questions.
(26:30) In the Rainbow Road in Mario Kart 8, there are moments where you can fall down onto a track lower that is going underneath, which is what Mario does.
Here's another one you missed: In the beginning of the movie when Luigi forces the castle door closed to escape the horde of dry bones, a small section of the Ghost House theme from Super Mario World (and other games) can be heard.

The idea that Little Mac, the guy who everyone makes fun of in Smash Bros., has an entire Pizzeria themed after his exploits in his own game/life, with his boxers and gloves there and all, really makes me smile.
Well duuh, Little Mac is from Brooklyn NY and Mario is the referee so obviously there's a canon lore that Punch Out and Mario are in the same world (Multiverse is just overrated and way too mainstream now 🙄)
if i’m not mistaken, i think the blue toad that stands in for toadsworth takes a lot of inspiration as well from toadbert, a character who appeared in mario and luigi partners in time and bowser’s inside story.
They should have used one or the other; I would have loved it if it was Toadsworth. It would have also been quite wholesome if the Toad that holds Baby Peach during the flashback was a younger Toadsworth.
I was so happy when I noticed the turbo and the Rainbow Road shortcut in the kart sequence. There's also another sneaky reference that you didn't mention: near the end of the scene, Mario is on the back of DK's kart and Toad on Peach's bike. I feel this is very deliberately nodding to Mario Kart Double Dash where you race with two characters in exactly the same way.
The Mario Movie was amazing from reference and musical perspectives. My favorite part of the movie personally was the awesome musical easter eggs added into the soundtrack.
They definitely went all out with cues from all across the history of the Mario games, and not just the mainline 2D and 3D titles, which I absolutely loved.
@@Quiltfish The licensed tracks may have been a head scratcher for most, but you got to admit that the use of Holding Out for a Hero during the training montage was pretty cool.
@@benmalsky9834 I mean, they're all fine songs on their own (Although that one was ruined by Shrek for me, personally) but it feels like the conversation when putting those scenes together went along the lines of "We need a licensed song here." "Why? Is it a joke, is it world building, is it enhancing the scene?" "No." "Then what is it?" "It is a licensed song."
Actually it just shows how much shigero miyamotto had to do with the film. He was breathing down illuminations necks the entire time so any cool nice Easter eggs are most likely added or asked to be added by miyamoto himself.
@@PurpleArcher102 Yeah, but I’m sure it was the kind of thing where the crew was happy to oblige. Someone on staff MUST have been familiar with the Famicom Disk System at Illumination MacGuff.
@@PurpleArcher102 I just think with lots of references to games from the NES era specifically, a lot of it was also just the crew pulling from many of their favorite childhood games. People on the crew must have really loved Punch Out, Kid Icarus, Duck Hunt, Balloon Fight and so on as children in the 80s.
It’s been a long time I walked out of a cinema with a massive smile on my face. I’m not expert by any means but so many references made it so enjoyable when maybe there wasn’t much going on.
The phrase “it’s on like Donkey Kong” was previously used by Illumination in Despicable Me 3, making it even more amazing that they got to use it in this movie.
@@Dhruvinator It’s not the first foreshadowing for Illumination that they would one day do Mario, in The Secret Life of Pets there was a joke involving a turtle bouncing around like a Koopa shell in one scene.
Wether you like this movie or not, it crazy to see how many unique Easter eggs they included. They knew people were going to go frame by frame so they included almost everything possible.
@@Dargonhumankind of disappointing that a lot of critics attacked this movie. Honestly was way better than anything Pixar has put out in the last 10 years.

19:14 I do honestly love Peach's design here. Which does make sense since the toads have that as their normal clothes. And seeing Peach in those same clothes has a nice charm to her. Wish we could of seen more of her in that outfit besides this still frame of her, but I would say it's alright.
It's a bit of a stretch, but the outfit may also be a loose nod to Lina from Doki Doki Panic as well, who Peach replaced when it was reskinned as Super Mario Bros. 2.
@@kristinhorner4628 I mean with the comment above yours said, kinda have some influences from Doki Doki Panic, at least with the toads and how they dress. Pretty Arabic to me, or at least fantasy like with Aladin.
i love that the refrences arent usually limited to the 80s-90s. they used all of the games and even semi referenced the anime movie in the mario bedroom scene
Yet idiots try to claim they're just doing a "Mario Odyssey" Movie just because Bowser is doing a forced wedding on Peach (which he tried to do in The Great Mission to Save Princess Peach) even tho there are several Odyssey references (Sand dessert, Toad's rucksack, Cappystore & probably music + Pauline)
One thing I think could be another reference is 7:20 you can see the guy in the yellow plaid shirt, which I think is a less menacing version of Ingo, Talon's brother, from Zelda: OoT.
in her mentioning Galaxies is a response to mario saying it's a big world so technically its back to back wink and nod to mario world and mario galaxy 19:24
Fun fact: in the latin spanish dub, Mario and Luigi's Dad And uncle are voiced by the same actors that played Mario and Luigi on the latin spanish dub for the live action movie from 1993 😂
In the European Spanish dub, Luigi's VA is the same as in the 1993 movie and the brother of Mario's actor! It's likely just a happy little series of coincidences as the actors are also the recurring VAs for Chris Pratt and Charlie Day
i feel the dog scene from the beginning may be a reference to how the chain chomp was created, as one of the game directors was attacked by a dog as a child
It's not just one of the game directors. It's Mario's creator, Shigeru Miyamoto himself who would actually almost attacked by a dog but was saved because of the chain the dog was tied to
THIS is the video I was waiting for ever since the movie released. So many other channels did quick, half-assed reference vids right after the movie came out, but your vid is the coup de grace. Bravo, man 😎
19:52 idk if you will say this at another part of the video, since im still watching But the reference of the Luma wanting to die, is a subtle reference to the fact that the puropose of lumas is to die, to transform into Galaxys, Starbits and other parts of the Universe, was really cool
31:13 the way that they both get the star is probably a reference to other multiplayer Mario games where if you touch the other players they will also get the star power
18:43 Fun Fact: These noises played with the song arent random. They're a reference to the classic youtube video "Super Mario Medley" from 2007, specifically at 1:40, down to where the notes are played, which is really cool
The entire soundtrack is also filled with other mario songs and many of them go along with visual references in the movie like: the captain toad theme playing when toad first appears, the smb3 toad house theme playing when the ATM with the smb3 toad house chest on them, the p wing sound effect in the section where mario flies with the tanooki suit, the beginning of bowser's theme playing when mario is lost in the pipes in mushroom kingdom, and many, many more.
When the fire flower went out in the Mario and Donkey Kong fight it was probably a reference to Donkey Kong's blowing move in Donkey Kong Country Returns
guess i'll mention one: during the scene where mario has to grab the superstar, the sounds used as the star bounces replicates the delicate glass-like "ding" sound you hear in the new super mario bros. games upon summoning a starman. also MASSIVE kudos to you for fighting so hard to get this video uploaded. your dedication is genuinely admirable
18:07 green yoshi's being rarer even lines up with TTYD since the green yoshi kid is the hardest to get needing you to hatch it within 6 minutes 18:18 definitely Rock candy mines, the mountain's are pretty much 1-1 with their designs 24:44 the only thing that's really from the mach bike is the little screen up front, everything else seems to be a mix between the pipe frame kart and the varmint bike with slick wheels
The Bowser tail swing goes back further than Super Mario 64, as it was a move used by Mario in the 1989 Japan-only animated film Super Mario Bros.: The Great Mission to Rescue Princess Peach.
Just a little something, when Kamek uses his magic, you can see really small shapes such as triangles and squares that reference when Game Kamek used magic, he would launch these shapes at his enemies. The shapes in the movie are very small though.
5:48 also the plate mentions M4R10, which is a reference to Mario Day, celebrated at April 10th 19:23 the clothing Peach is wearing, although based on what Toads do wear, it's also similar to the characters from Doki Doki Panic, the game that originated the creation of Super Mario Bros. 2 outside Japan (or called Super Mario Bros. USA in Japan) Also, isn't Francis the dog based on the dog from Duck Hunt? I have that impression...
Such a great movie. Something I’m surprised you didn’t mention is during the Mario kart scene. There weren’t many karts that were direct references to original karts from the games but one stood out, the bullet bill bike from Mario kart wii is in there
I'd like to point out some other things that might be worth noting: The Kong that opens the gates for Mario, Peach, and Toad is a specific Kong that's been seen in the games, I'm almost certain of it. I just can't remember what he was supposed to be called. The poses for when Mario and Luigi punch Bowser together (for the first time) while invincible both look particularly like the "jumping up" key art like you mentioned at 32:13. The second one they do while they're high up in the air and spike him like a Smash Bros. Forward Aerial leave them momentarily in a pose that feels similar to me, and somehow feels specifically like something you'd see in a Mario and Luigi game. Plus, the combined stomp they do next reminds me of the one they do when they use the magic door attack in Bowser's Inside Story, although this looked MUCH more forceful. When Luigi saves Spike from several enemies, including a Dry Bones, he uses its shell as a shield to block an attack from another enemy (I forget what it was, maybe a Hammer Bro.), which could be a slight reference to the Dry Bones Shell powerup in Super Mario Maker 2 that allows the player to jump on things that would normally damage them, boat across lava and poison, and briefly "play dead" to avoid damage. It's a bit of a stretch since it doesn't function as an actual shield, but maybe it was inspired by it. iirc, When Luigi manages to take a breather after getting away from the Dry Bones in the Dark Lands, the lightning that reveals the Shy Guys and Snifits (I think that's what the ones with the little noses on their masks are called) is accompanied by a very brief hit of the SMB3 castle theme. Maybe it was too obvious to be worth including, but idk. Also, when Luigi screams there, it feels straight out of Luigi's Mansion. In fact, there's one video of the Luigi's Mansion 1 Dark Hallways theme that you can find here on TH-cam where I recall the end having the sound of a ghost popping out and Luigi screaming with a fading echo. When Bowser and Kamek are playing the piano together, it's obvious that Bowser is playing the Underground theme while Kamek is providing jingles of coins, a question block dispensing a powerup, and then a 1-up sound, but that SPECIFIC arrangement of that order of sounds, interspersed in THAT particular way comes from a SPECIFIC TH-cam video somewhere out there where a fan was playing a Mario medley on a piano. I can't find it, but I swear I had it on recording on an MP3 player or something, because that particular arrangement is burned into my brain from listening to it over and over years ago. Seriously, if anyone can help me find it, PLEASE! Edit: I MIGHT have found it: search Super Mario Medley by Video Game Pianist. That name seemed very familiar, but I could've sworn he put in some sound effects toward the end of the Overworld theme, too.
Well, I read it. Just take time to read long posts people, or otherwise do not post to complain. The Kong by the way I think you are referring to Op is Swanky Kong, I almost guarantee it, and when we hear Thunderstruck by AC/DC, during the kart scene, I think that is Funky Kong.
Yes my friend we are on the same page, because I seen him in a game too but I forgot as well lol but he definitely is with the jacket n all but it just sucks nobody else has realized n I been typing a bunch of different ways to figure out who n where I seen him……….. but it for sure is him 💯
32:47 this is also similar to the 1998 American Godzilla movie ending, after Godzilla and his offspring are killed, one last egg survives and hatches before the credits, which would be followed up by the animated series…
15:43 he could also be a reference to toadbert from the Mario and Luigi series, who played a similar role, being a high-ranking advisor to the princess.
One refrence you missed is during the scene when captain toad cooks food for the soldiers at the gate of Princess Peaches castle. During the scene, a small sample of the music used in the Luncheon Kingdom from Super Mario Odyssey can be heard.
Peach in the Toad clothes really feels like a half nod towards Doki Doki Panic. It may not have been intentional, but it certainly has that same kinda feel to me. Can't believe how many of these I missed, thank you for this!
This one may not have been a purposeful reference, but the 1-2 pipe chamber had vibes very much like the route our heroes inadvertently took to the primary location of the original Mario bros movie. At least, from what I can recall. I sat through about 20 minutes of it on cable and bounced shortly after toad got arrested. And this was also ballpark 10 years ago.
not so subtle, the whole premise of the movie is that the plumbers bros are actually called mario mario and luigi mario which forms the mario familly. this is entirely the premise of the old 90ies movie. this is a nod to miyamoto ackowledging that the mario brothers familly name is actually mario. this is actually a whole nod to the fact that the mario movie of old should of been like this from the get go. seriously, the whole intro is the one from the 90ies movie. the comercial, the plumbing problems, the fact they are out of cash and washed up already. that is entirely from the original live action movie.
28:45 Firey DK. You were saying DK had never been playable in a game with a Fire Flower, and while that's technically true, Mario vs DK 2: March of the Minis allowed the Minis to use Fire Flowers. When they powered up, DK's Mini turned a similar color to this.
For all the things referenced in the Antiques shop bit, I was just a little surprised you skipped over the blue P switches. Still, you did an excellent job on going over so much else, and it's appreciated. ♥
The amount of Punch-Out references in this movie made me so happy, gives me some hope that some day we'll at least see a port of the Wii Punch-Out game. Also, worth noting that none of the art shown here is actually from the Wii game; the designs of the characters themselves are based on the Wii game but the art is all entirely new, made specifically for the movie. I'm really sad we didn't get to see these in high quality through some concept art or something, instead we have to comb through low quality blurry camera shots.
18:48 the way they play the piano there is actually a reference to the channel "Video Game Pianist" from a popular mario medley he did a long time ago!
You did miss a little detail during the toad town scene, in which right before we get to the antiquse store, there's a Toad who's carrying a Cheap-Cheap in a bag, which gives a glare at Mario while a very brief segment of the SMB1 Underwater Theme plays
When Mario first meets Peach, she grabs his nose and tugs on his hat. This is a blink-and-you'll-miss-it reference to the opening screen of Super Mario 64, and no one can change my mind.
When peach was talking about bowser to Mario, she mentions that he can gobble you whole and not even notice which is a reference to Mario and Luigi, Bowser’s inside story of all games
I like to imagine that Rosalina came down and asked peach if she’s seen a Luma and the when she found him she was just like “this is way me and Daisy don’t get involved
Love the video!!! I'm pretty sure that at 8:13 in the mario family dining room there is also a picture of baby mario! Also the white guard kong at 19:56 may be a reference to DK's white costume in ssb!
It might be a stretch but the 3 items for sale in the antique shop at 12:27 reminds me of the item shops throughout the mario party games, and being able to choose between various items, as well as how they are displayed.
The whole start of the movie is basically a recreation of the live action film. They too go around in that minivan taking every job and end up in the sewerage. They kinda took that start and "fixed it".
Interesting fact about Streets in the movie, You missed one. With "Link St.", there was also Wolf St., which has two references that I can think of. The first one being The Wolf of Wall Street, and the second being Nintendo based with Wolf from Star Fox.
At 7:51 next to Uncle Tony. You can see some Balsamic Vinegar with a logo of a chef on it. That chef is a colored version of the chef from the Personal Trainer: Cooking DS game. A game that has recipes of meals from most parts of the world where that chef will read out the instructions for each recipe and help guide the user in making the meals.
Fun fact: when Mario dies in Kid Icarus, the Game Over jingle is actually the version from the Famicom Disk System, _not_ the American NES! The Famicom Disk System had an extra sound channel not present in the NES version, so a few of the music tracks sound slightly different. I'm not sure why this inaccuracy is in the movie, but I have a few guesses. 1. The people working on the movie thought it sounded better; 2. The Japanese employees overseeing the project thought the U.S. version sounded wrong; or 3. The 3DS version of Kid Icarus is based on the Japanese version (since it has save files), so this version of the song matches one of the most recent releases of the game. Alternatively, this "mistake" may have just been planted on purpose to give obsessive nerds like me something to talk about.
The fact that Alpharad single handedly turned Mario's F-air into specifically an emphasized "Foreward Aerial" is the single greatest reference in this video. It's not even close LOL.
Fun Fact about the obstacle course scene: The wide shot that shows the entire course is a reference to an ad that featured Mario Maker 2. The exact ad is up on TH-cam on the Nintendo UK channel and it's titled "Discover the adventures of Mario on Nintendo Switch!". The exact moment in the ad is at the 0:16 second mark.
23:08 ive never played the dk games so idk if this is how his house usually looks but the hammock and tire are also in the smash trailers for both k rool and banjo
Don’t forget during the credits you see the former president of Nintendo Satoru Iwata and without him none of us Nintendo fans would ever be here today
Missed fact, when Mario and Luigi get split up in the warp zone their voices are flanged in the same exact way "Dasiy's" was in the Live Action Movie most hat. The Scene in question that shares this flanging to indicate dimensional distortion is when they see her pop out of the rock wall across the chasm Luigi dropped the flash light down.

The idea that Little Mac, the guy who everyone makes fun of in Smash Bros., has an entire Pizzeria themed after his exploits in his own game/life, with his boxers and gloves there and all, really makes me smile.
Definitely sounds like something a local sports hero would do.
Could this mean that this is after Little Mac retires in Punch Out Wii?
Cuz the fact that his boxing gloves and stuff is there really make me wonder about that. Mac NEVER really takes em off
Well duuh, Little Mac is from Brooklyn NY and Mario is the referee so obviously there's a canon lore that Punch Out and Mario are in the same world (Multiverse is just overrated and way too mainstream now 🙄)
I'd say it's canon
if i’m not mistaken, i think the blue toad that stands in for toadsworth takes a lot of inspiration as well from toadbert, a character who appeared in mario and luigi partners in time and bowser’s inside story.
They should have used one or the other; I would have loved it if it was Toadsworth. It would have also been quite wholesome if the Toad that holds Baby Peach during the flashback was a younger Toadsworth.
Well if its Toadbert I like him even less now!

This movie is like a cool love letter to not just Mario but Nintendo in general
I was so happy when I noticed the turbo and the Rainbow Road shortcut in the kart sequence. There's also another sneaky reference that you didn't mention: near the end of the scene, Mario is on the back of DK's kart and Toad on Peach's bike. I feel this is very deliberately nodding to Mario Kart Double Dash where you race with two characters in exactly the same way.
I thought that was a Double Dash reference too.
Another thing is that when Mario drifted away from Koopa general,he did the gap jump from mk64
Brian Tyler deserves some form of recognition for his incredible work and his incredible partnership with Koji Kondo to make this score possible.
The musical references were so amazing, they just barely make the needless licensed music worth drudging through.
@@Quiltfish The licensed tracks may have been a head scratcher for most, but you got to admit that the use of Holding Out for a Hero during the training montage was pretty cool.
@@benmalsky9834 I mean, they're all fine songs on their own (Although that one was ruined by Shrek for me, personally) but it feels like the conversation when putting those scenes together went along the lines of
"We need a licensed song here."
"Why? Is it a joke, is it world building, is it enhancing the scene?"
"No."
"Then what is it?"
"It is a licensed song."
Seeing Diskun on that hardware store sign REALLY made me so happy! It really shows just how much the filmmakers are very dedicated Nintendo fans.
I want to add that at 20:26, the banana peel that causes the spinout is a reference to Mario Kart as one of the items used in game.
Disney should take notes, the nostalgia was real with this one
The Nostalgia was way too superficial to me. Sonic Movies are where it’s at when it comes to nostalgia actually hitting hard…
It’s been a long time I walked out of a cinema with a massive smile on my face.

Wether you like this movie or not, it crazy to see how many unique Easter eggs they included. They knew people were going to go frame by frame so they included almost everything possible.
I'm just happy that the people who grew up playing these games are finally old enough to start making movies based on the games that fans want to see.

9:15 Neither the Ultra Hand nor the Slugger Mate were NES Peripherals. They were both toys from the '70s.
3:11 - The flagpole has 77 written on it. Likely a nod to the release year of Nintendo’s first video game system series; Color TV Game from 1977
19:14
I do honestly love Peach's design here.
For whatever reason, her outfit in that freeze-frame kind of reminds me of Aladdin and I don't know why.
I can't believe the real Mario from Mario's Pitcross is in this movie!
You mean the Mario from Mario's Time Machine
You mean the Mario from Mario paint
You mean the Mario from Hotel Mario

One thing I think could be another reference is 7:20 you can see the guy in the yellow plaid shirt, which I think is a less menacing version of Ingo, Talon's brother, from Zelda: OoT.

It's likely just a happy little series of coincidences as the actors are also the recurring VAs for Chris Pratt and Charlie Day
@@skapokonroll that's cool man, the european spanish dub is really awesome, they nailed in the performance for every character

i feel the dog scene from the beginning may be a reference to how the chain chomp was created, as one of the game directors was attacked by a dog as a child
It's not just one of the game directors. It's Mario's creator, Shigeru Miyamoto himself who would actually almost attacked by a dog but was saved because of the chain the dog was tied to

I was so disappointed that they didnt say the iconic “so long, de bowser” when either throwing him up or spiking him down

It's impressive that they even references such an old fan video!

I wasn’t too optimistic about this movie. But then the first three seconds when the airship theme started playing and a smile crossed my face.
The Bowser tail swing goes back further than Super Mario 64, as it was a move used by Mario in the 1989 Japan-only animated film Super Mario Bros.: The Great Mission to Rescue Princess Peach.
does that mean that the mario 64 tail swing is a reference to that film? woah!
Just a little something, when Kamek uses his magic, you can see really small shapes such as triangles and squares that reference when Game Kamek used magic, he would launch these shapes at his enemies. The shapes in the movie are very small though.
5:48 also the plate mentions M4R10, which is a reference to Mario Day, celebrated at April 10th
19:23 the clothing Peach is wearing, although based on what Toads do wear, it's also similar to the characters from Doki Doki Panic, the game that originated the creation of Super Mario Bros. 2 outside Japan (or called Super Mario Bros. USA in Japan)
Also, isn't Francis the dog based on the dog from Duck Hunt? I have that impression...
Such a great movie. Something I’m surprised you didn’t mention is during the Mario kart scene. There weren’t many karts that were direct references to original karts from the games but one stood out, the bullet bill bike from Mario kart wii is in there
A kart that looks like the offroader is in the same scene, the one that Mario takes over
I haven’t seen the video yet but Toads truck looks like the tiny titan
This video is so detailed! Also at 27:23 there are pickaxes which possibly reference Captain Toad's pickaxe power-ups (the Super Star-like ones)
I'd like to point out some other things that might be worth noting:
The Kong that opens the gates for Mario, Peach, and Toad is a specific Kong that's been seen in the games, I'm almost certain of it.
Tldr
You didn't listen to the entire video did you :\ @@Ulloriaq1059

32:47 this is also similar to the 1998 American Godzilla movie ending, after Godzilla and his offspring are killed, one last egg survives and hatches before the credits, which would be followed up by the animated series…
15:34 That map layout looks like a hint at SMB Wonder.
15:43 he could also be a reference to toadbert from the Mario and Luigi series, who played a similar role, being a high-ranking advisor to the princess.
The ultra hand wasn't a peripheral, it was another toy. You must be thinking of the power glove.

One refrence you missed is during the scene when captain toad cooks food for the soldiers at the gate of Princess Peaches castle. During the scene, a small sample of the music used in the Luncheon Kingdom from Super Mario Odyssey can be heard.
Bowser does one of his actual growls when Kamek brings up mario during the first piano scene
I said the exact same thing when I was watching it. Figured it was a subtle reference
not so subtle, the whole premise of the movie is that the plumbers bros are actually called mario mario and luigi mario which forms the mario familly. this is entirely the premise of the old 90ies movie. this is a nod to miyamoto ackowledging that the mario brothers familly name is actually mario. this is actually a whole nod to the fact that the mario movie of old should of been like this from the get go. seriously, the whole intro is the one from the 90ies movie. the comercial, the plumbing problems, the fact they are out of cash and washed up already. that is entirely from the original live action movie.
It's absolutely Star Wolf from the Star Fox games. Why would Nintendo reference The Wolf of Wall Street?
The time link transforms into a wolf
At 7:51 next to Uncle Tony. You can see some Balsamic Vinegar with a logo of a chef on it. That chef is a colored version of the chef from the Personal Trainer: Cooking DS game. 21:18 proof chunky Kong didn't die
It was Lanky and Tiny who died
@mariajimenafigueroa233 No it's a DK Rap reference
