The tapping on the screen is fine, it’s not like your hitting something with a hammer. What are people going to complain about next? The sound of the brush strokes on the canvas??? ASMR is just relaxing.
I believe it’s because a lot of people’s nervous systems are amped up with all the shit going on in the world. I had a hard time listening it to it myself. it’s not like I would ever comment to complain about it. I actually hate myself for letting a noise get to me, but I’m realizing it’s stems from my nervous system being amped up. Maybe it’s just me though.
your vids are a godsend. Thank you so much for all these tutorials on Nomad. It just goes to show you can create super impressive models without being tied to a regular computer
In your opinion, what is the BEST ipad to use with Nomad. I currently use it on ipad mini and feel i want to upgrade. Which should i look into? The mini has like no space and crashes often.
I have some and love them. I thought they might fall off but, no, they stay put. And yes they give a nice traction to the pencil, but unlike rough "paper" like protectors won't chew up your pencil tip. I certainly wouldn't want to use a protector AND the tips though!
@@SouthernGFX thanks. That's great. I'm new to blender and nomad but am longterm looking to create 3d elements (in nomad) that I can give my 2d drawing style to that I can then animate in Blender so that the animation overall has a 2d style rather than 3d look. This is very helpful. Thanks!
Glen, im interested in getting your nomad beginner course. I was wondering if that beginner course includes the t-rex course as well. Im particularly interested in learning how to make my own dungeons and dragons miniatures with nomad, and then 3d printing them. What do you recommend I do? I have an apple pen and ipad mini with nomad.
@@SouthernGFX Awesome! I will have to check it out. Learned so much from you already, it’s the least I could do. I’d love to show you what i have been sculpting so far after watching your vids. Just let me know how.
Howdy all, been making my way through your Nomad Sculpt content, absolutely amazing stuff, will definitely pick up the course when funds permit. Totally unrelated point and a quick heads up... In the middle of you Nomad Sculpt Playlist... you do have a video by Justin Brown on iPhone Video editing, you don't have your hard surface modelling video of the little robot on tracks... :D (you have the one on how to decimate him in Blender, not the one where you make him) Again, amazing content and many thanks...
Hi Neil. Glad you are enjoying it. I just saw the Justin video that sneaked into the playlist. I've moved him back out and into his own playlist. We love his content as we use Luma Fusion a lot in our editing for the channel. He's the best teacher out there for that sort of content in my opinion. We are about to add videos on how we make our tutorials
@@SouthernGFX Yeah, Love justins work too, as you say, without doubt one of the best in his class for all things editing, but as you say, the stuff he does for mobile and small scale is great... And I look forward to Mays little droid. Did my first sculp last nigh, based on watching your channel. Anywhere I can post and tag to show you what I managed for my first three hours? I would imagine instagram...
@@neilgooge there a 1000 people in our face book group if you use the platform. Or search SouthernGFX on any social platform that suits you. I love seeing other artists work. @@SouthernGFX I do have a facebook, that a rarely use, but I could pop there. Thanks again for the content... and all the help from it :)
So to export the final image you’re just screenshoting it? There’s no way to get a high res image saved in Nomad? Procreate should be releasing the 3D model import and paint soon. So I guess that would be the ultimate way to get high res stills 🤔
4k "only". Problem is I like to be able to export really large images for print and find myself exploring Blender now to import my models into and render.

This was brilliant! I love the idea of incorporating it with comics!

Literally found the Nomad app after watching the 5.2 Procreate vid. Such a powerful tool for sculpting. Your vids are a godsend.thank you, peace❤️

I was a fan of the tapping haha. Nice video... thanks
Brilliant, made matcaps in procreate, used them in nomad. Very easy to follow along with. Excellent!
Great Tutorial Again and would love Part - 2 as it would be more exciting and always fun to learn from you..Thanks Glen 👍
Thanks! I’ll go ahead and record the next one
Nomad is super versatile and can even be used to make Comic art. You can make your own Matcaps in any painting app and use them in your projects.
@@SouthernGFX Would be waiting for that ⏳

Brilliant. Works flawlessly, thanks very much!
Great vid and super useful! Please make a part 2!
Awesome work Glen! It's amazing how much you can accomplish with a couple of inexpensive apps and an Ipad.
thanks again, Glen :). great stuff
Cheers Kyle. New mini course out Friday!
@@SouthernGFX oh sweet! Can’t wait! Is it the R2D2 2-hour tutorial you mentioned in this video or something unannounced?

I'd suggest maybe a 2020 ipad pro. The extra space and the power bump is great for a program like this
cool stuff! Do those pencil tips improve the feeling of the apple pencil on the ipad? Would they be a good alternative to something like paperlike?

Can a matcap be used on a character that is then exported from nomad into blender to be animated?
Both blender and ZBrush use map caps.

Hi there. There’s two courses or a bundle. The basics course is massive at about 10 hours. Takes a minute to get through it lol

You can export at screen res or up to 4K. In the exports there are options for transparent background etc. I’ll cover it in the next vid.

I see there is now a “custom” size allowed which is an improvement.
