I think this Sphere is your first character with a texture structure, all the others are smooth 😉.
You can also apply color to it and colored textures at the same time.

ha! its true..I really love even super simple "clay" color and texture. Like Play-dough. Only problem is the size of the sculpts. I have made some snails with textures, that was fun, it'll be nice to do those again with subsurface 🐌 - I appreciate your tips!

It seems like it would be simple, but I have yet to wrap my head around getting accurate scaling to 25mm (or any specific size, really) and flatting out the parts yet.

And you don't have to make a square canvas in Procreate ! Nomad Sculpt can use any photo as alpha no matter what dimensions or colors.
Nomad automatically uses only the area in the RED RING. The rest is done by the falloff...
The same goes for the textures in the color.
ahh, so perhaps I should have made the red ring smaller to affect the falloff..i'll do some more experimenting! I also edited out most of my black and white adjustments, as I think think having more of a contrast helps? I'll also try some texture with color, never thought of that, thank you! 💯
@@drugfreedave The red ring in the alpha preview cannot be changed, only the image can be scaled.
The falloff only works inside the red ring.
Square canvases are only really important for seamless repetitions.
You can also create the alphas from your own sculpts directly in Nomad Sculpt - in the debug menu is the Hightmap function. You can use the matrix to set the distance.
Yes, you can adjust light / dark a bit in Procreate, but the most important thing is to apply the textures on a layer !
So the intensity can be easily controlled in the layer via offset.
Ah, I forgot to do them on layers, I did that for the ninja turtles since I had so many layers with color. I’m not too clear on the layer options and how they work I’ll have to dig in a bit more with those 👍🏾

All of my textures look pixelated and they all look the same regardless of the photo I use. Also, when using the brush tool the texture messes up my models.
Try subdividing multiples times and then apply the texture, see what that does! 👍🏾
Theres an option to turn smoothing on that might help alongside subdividing
when applying the texture, it creates a new layer so it’s not even. i can’t just “run my pen over the sphere” and the texture appears. as i drag my pen over the object to add texture too, instead of the texture showing up it ends up as the brush being stretched and scaled on the object instead of gracefully gliding the pen over…what am i doing wrong? is this bc i’m using nomad on my desktop computer using BlueStacks? i can’t use my fingers to zoom in or turn my object …i have to use my mouse or pen
Check your brush settings (I think it’s the little pencil icon) down where it says stroke type, are you using “dot”?
