hi!! i use a dell xps 15, but i’m not sure if i particularly recommend it because it’s powerful but also kind of finicky sometimes. depending on what kind of design work you do and especially if you’re doing graphic design, i recommend investing in a screen with good color accuracy. i would ask upperclassmen in your department at your school what they recommend, since they know best what kind of programs you’ll need for your classes/what tech is required for them. for example, the printing process at risd is highly geared towards apple macs, so if i were doing a lot of printing i would consider that. also check if your school has laptops they loan out to students. best of luck in college!!! ☀️

hey, do you by any chance have any tips or videos you would recommend when starting out with premiere pro? I love love love your editing style, and I am struggling to use premiere pro and findjng tutorials for the kind of editing style im searching for 😖💖
bro i feel your pain 😭 tbh i’m still a noob at premiere pro editing (which is partially why this took like a month and a half to edit cuz i was learning the program), so i’m not too qualified to answer this question?? another youtuber that uses premiere pro to edit is kaiti yoo (also a brown alum hehe) so i watched her video on her process. i also wrote down a list of youtubers whose editing style i like, and watched their videos closely (ie. how they do transitions, their text placement, timing). linh truong doesn’t use premiere pro, but her editing video is also very helpful, especially her tips on editing to music. by watching those videos, i got ideas on what to do with my footage, so i just kinda searched up how to do things as i went. some terms i searched up were how to “circle transition”, “color grading”/“color correction”/“lumetri color”, “add text”, “align clip”, “track object”/“face blur”, followed by “premiere pro”. as long as you know kind of what you want, there’s probably a tutorial about it. hope that was of some help, and best of luck on your editing journey!! 💙

hmm do you specially mean the look and feel of risd campus? because i also show brown university’s campus in this video (brown is at the flatter top of college hill, risd is on the side/bottom of college hill and departments are sort of spread out). brown offers east asian and religious studies!!
