i’m needing a bit of help pal, recently got one of these bikes frame says 125 and i was told it was a 125 but i got it and it was bogging like daft, cleaned the carb got it tuned in but the bike was absolutely gutless wouldn’t go past 10mph lol. anyway the head on it has turned out to be a 110, i think the boys had issues and swapped it for that, i’m needing to buy a new bore and head any pointers on where to get the stuff? and is it a lifan aye
Most of these engines are the same, only the YX engines are different really. You should have an engine number stamped into the engine. If you Google that number it will tell you exactly which jug and head will match that engine. Then ebay to get the kit, PITBIKE SPARES, is a good place to order from on ebay. Chances are, your engine number will probably end in something like FMJ but parts will be easy to locate. I will check a few out and send you a link to what you are looking for. But it's important to make sure the BEARING that goes inside the piston underneath is the same size. Probably 13mm for a 125cc.
Also check the piston size, straight across the centre of the top. Probably gonna be 52mm if it's a 110cc And 54mm for 125cc Some have 13mm pin, others have a 14mm pin, holding the piston onto the rod. So if your pin fits the rod perfectly, you know that's the size you need, so look for a 54mm jug and piston but make sure the piston pin (wrist pin) is the right size for your rod.
I have "pithog" and the company only makes ebikes now and no more gas, i also have a lifan 125 that ive been using for parts including the piston, ive blown a couple piston in the "pithog" and now the sleeve is completely fucked and i need a new top end, the one on the lifan is too short for the pithog, ive check amazon for "125 top end rebuild" but everything that comes up is "110 atv" but its all 52.4mm which is what mine is aswell, any ideas as to why that is and habe you tried amazon for parts?
Hi Nate After being out on my thump 140 I’ve noticed a hole in the underneath/front of cylinder headX will this affect my bike, still seems to start and drive fine , only 3 day old ? Any advice can a head cylinder be replaced alone and or will it affect my hike
You are maybe missing a valve cover, these can rattle loose with vibrations, check and see if the hole has threads for winding a cap on like a lid, or 2 bolt holes to hold a cap on. These can be bought on ebay for a few pounds, you don't really want to ride without one as mud and water could destroy your engine if it gets in. But it sounds like you are missing a valve cap that's all
Thor yeah bud I have been rebuilding my own bikes for about 25 years, always been a bit of a spanner monkey when it comes to bikes. How's your detector situation ? You got it back yet
ORACLE'S CAVE nice im the same love it got a few myself ive got a cr project on the go just now ,and fingers crossed tomorrow acording to dpd cant wait going to find these other two blades for farmer first then ill get over to look for your treasure hopefully :-)
Thor I am just waiting for DHL bringing my car battery next day delivery that's 4 days late... Hope yours arrives with no issues, this week is a good week for finding treasure lol
More than likely it's just needing a new set of piston rings, they wear out after a while. It would be easier to just replace the piston though, as there is a special way to set the rings and size them. But very easy to take the head apart and replace piston and then put back together. It can be done without removing the engine aswell. It's a good fun project to do and takes about 2-5 hours if you take your time. I can usually do it in under 2 hours, and there is plenty of step by step videos showing everything.
@@oraclescave thanks for the info mate I'm going to take head off and see if its the head gasket if not it could be the piston rings bike is starting and running just pops
@@declanreo6342 always start with your spark plug, check what colour it is, should be a bronze brown colour. If its black you are running your fuel mixture to rich. But your spark plug will show you what's up.
I get most of my bikes for free, at most I pay £50 If they have a few good parts. I actually fix motorbikes for free. When people have any issues, I can usually get them up and running, so people drop off their unwanted or broken bikes for free, so that others can get a use out of them.
The thing is you can buy the whole engine for 200$ The rebuild kit is anywhere from 60 to $100.. by the time it's all said and done you might as well just buy another engine and then have a parts lying around...🤷 JMO...
@@oraclescave that's why I take them apart and go through them before install .. Sometimes tolerances are a problem with these but not as often as slap together assembly... In most applications these engines are under fueled and overworked and as a result end up getting hot bent valves are common due to cheap inadequate steel they use to make them with..
Those cam dowels should be threaded for like a m8 bolt i believe

Hi doese any one know y my 140cc head is spluttering and blowing smoke from spark plug it still works theres just a problem any help
You might have a bad head gasket, or you have cracked the cylinder head.
Or your valves need reset.

@@oraclescave my spark plug is basically black the idle is fine tho
Not very detailed, didn’t show how to mark the timing chain, remove the head, ect
Lol its a single cam. You dont have to mark anything. The case, head, flywheel and cam gear are all stamped from the factory.
My bike has the exact same fucking problem I think I’ve fucked it up I didn’t undo the cam and tried to knock the head off
Sounds bad, just make sure the long head bolts are not bent and you will probably be fine.
If they look straight, it shouldn't be a problem.
But gd video pal
