However, it's a stretch to think that contestants are THAT skilled, although on their second/third spins they do have a tiny bit more experience (1-2 spins versus 0) spinning the wheel, which gives them a slight advantage. I concede that the odds are probably better than random. I can't imagine they're that much better, but I could be wrong for sure! :)

A three way tie on 1.00 happened on the 12/29/2021 episode, all done via finesse spins that got around exactly spins. A 5 cent spin and 1.00 spin were done via finesse spins in the bonus spin-spin off.

No. There are hundreds of photos behind the wheel and there is no brake. There is footage of the wheel spinning from behind the wheel. No brake. I have spun that thing before and anyone who tries to finesse it is wasting time. It is not rigged. No brake that a producer or whatever can control. And it is preset by the producers when they set up the wheel. For a spinoff like what happened here, Drew resets it. I can assure you it is not rigged.
Money best prize by far game shows. Since winnings reported to IRS and taxed. Get some dumb overpriced prize and may need to sell it for far less just to pay the taxes.
