Rat Race is one of my favorite most recent pricing games on "The Price Is Right." I'm glad that Autumn won all three prizes, which her thinking was more skill than luck in this game.
+Geddo You forgot "5 Price Tags". A player can get everything right in the True or False part of the game and still not choose the right price of the car (I incidentally saw it happen once).
We're all forgetting the big one: Plinko. It's very possible for a contestant to earn all 5 chips and drop them all in the 0s. although, I can't recall it ever happening. Spelling Bee is another one, you can earn all 5 numbers and still not get the car. although you are given several chances to quit with some money.

If you get all three rats, you're guaranteed to win at least one of the three prizes. If one of your rats places 4th and another places 5th, your last rat can only place in the top 3 and win something. The worst result with all 3 rats is 3rd, 4th, 5th, and the best result is in the video.
They should do with this game what they do with "Spelling Bee". If the contestant gets the price of the prize exactly right, they are automatically given all three prizes, and hence a choice of three rats. It should especially be done with the first one. I think it is nearly impossible to get the price within a dollar, let alone the exact price.
@BuhGuh28 Actually, the first time it was played she HAD $10,000, and she decided to go for it, but she didn't win because the 3 row was too high for the 4th row; however, you are right about someone winning $10,000, but it wasn't on the debut of the game....

@jarvisbrodiea9 I'm almost certain that someone DID win $10,000 the first time Pay The Rent was played. They only messed up on the last level. The other day when it was played though, the player only left with $5,000.
She had $10,000 and risked it. The final product was less than the previous two so she walked away with NOTHING. Every time you go on to the next floor you risk your money. So going for it on the final floor makes it an all or nothing situation

The thing with that is, since the game show scandals of the 50's, game shows are HIGHLY regulated by law, and watched by the networks for any signs of rigging. Chances are, they have to submit to the network what place each rat will end up in, or have to have an independent judge not affiliated with the network set up the race beforehand.
Anyone else notice that they didn't give/mention the price of the car? I thought they only did that when then contestant was trying to guess the price of the car. Weird/Strange!
+Mi Picasso Aside from Rat Race, there's only one other game where the price of none of the prizes (car or smaller prizes) being played for is mentioned, that game being Master Key.
Mi Picasso Beats me; as I said, these are the only two games that I can think of where the announcer doesn't mention the price of any of the prizes the contestant has a chance to win. As to why, I couldn't even begin to tell you.

I think this and Secret X are the only two games where the contestant can play the game perfectly, but winning is still left to chance.
